Lovely cafe, with nice friendly family feeling. A cozy loft to sit back in and nourish yourself and watch the world go by from the balcony. Good prices and good food. All around easy place to be in Agra!
Great cafe! Lovely food and friendly welcoming service, would thoroughly recommend! Everyone should eat here if they are in Agra! :)
Food is great, also great value for money and friendly staff definitely recommend!

Best place in Agra! Yummiest food and an oasis from the craziness of Agra :)
Lovely!! and you feel at home, thanks a lot!! I'll be back to stay in your hostel
Great food. Many options to go for.. near to TajMahal #home food...
What awesome service and great food
Will come again as a tourist
Tudo excelente.
All excellent.
Great food and low price.
We spent 6 days in the city because a friend was sick and we ate every day in the bamboo cafe as well as being the cheapest, it is very good and we are always well attended. We stayed in a good hostel that already has a restaurant near the Bamboo but it was expensive. Bamboo is great. All staff always smiling. One day we were out of money and they said we could pay the other day .
We have practically tasted the whole menu, and everything is very good. Indian rice, Koftas (potato balls stuffed with sauce), noodles, curries, pancakes, biryanis, omelets, lassis iorgut ....... even simple and industrialized teas are good and cheap. Eur-lex.europa.eu eur-lex.europa.eu

Crowd is good as most of foreigners only, food was taste in average, best things that its very economical so if you are looking for pocket friendly food with decent ambience then its good option.
Excelent home food! Very cousy and delicious! One of the best meals i had in Índia! Cheap prizes and welcoming people! Really recommend this place!
If you are looking for pocket friendly food then its good place.. ambience and crowd is good as most of people there is foreigners, food is average.. interiors are good..
Eating at this restaurant was one of my favourite experiences whilst travelling in India. We had planned to go and see a production of the history of the Taj that night, but decided to stay in instead. On an evening walk, stumbled across this place late at night and I am so happy we did. The ambience is beautiful, with colour on the roof and lovely lights. We felt so relaxed on the veranda. The restaurant is owned by a very kind and welcoming family, we felt at home whilst dining there. After a delicious meal of Biryani and my favourite, Malai Kofta (I haven't tasted better Malai Kofta since eating at the bamboo cafe by the way), one of the members of the family, Uroos, painted the most beautiful henna on my hand and we had great conversation. This was our favourite night of our 2 week trip. Thanks so much to the beautiful owners of the Bamboo Cafe, we felt so welcome in your home and we are grateful for your hospitality and the memories that we will always have because of you. We can't wait to visit again one day in the future , and we will be sure to stay longer than one night so that we can eat more delicious food at your cafe :)
Good place. Good atmosphere. Heard a lot about it by my friends but it was not as charming as they explained. But i like the ambience. Need a thing or two in service.
It is a family restaurant which you can eat halal food. Staff were very friendly, we had a nice conversation with them. The best thing about this place is they made our food non-spicy. As foreigners, we can't eat indian foods. But they made it special for us and that was really amazing.
It's a family restaurant with a very pleasant balcony. Food is well served with very good prices. Staff is nice and friendly. The only thing is the waiting time that can be a bit long, but if you're not in a rush it's worth it.
When u want to feel Goa in Agra.. Head straight to this small cozy yummy place. Delicious food at super good price.. Tummy full without hurting your pocket. Amazing family service.
Super recommended! Don't hesitate and stop by. Totally worth it!
Good food at a very affordable price and also good place for relax.
Very good family and the owner son is good for chit chat
100% recommended
A small restaurant that is managed by an elderly wife-husband team
The food, I had paneer paranthas and a plain lassi with some curd and pickle, and the food was served hot. The items were delicious.
There is a wide selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food on offer along with an equally wide selection of juices,, lassi and hot and cold beverages.
The ambience too is quite pleasant and the couple are extremely polite.
Delicious Indian food. I only had Indian vegetarian dishes, tea and lasi, but they have quite a few meat choices + Western dishes. Definitely try the desert - Gulab Jamun. Don’t expect Western standards, but I would highly recommend. Ran by husband and wife, she cooks everything on the spot and always asks if you want it ‘Indian spicy’ which I found quite sweet. There’s a sign that suggests they run free guided tours - can pay however much you consider fair. However, I haven’t been so don’t know how/ when they take place. Cafe is in walking distance from Taj Mahal.
Highly recommend eating at Bamboo Café. We went there with our 16 month old son and not only was the food the most delicious and authentic we had, also our son was allowed to move freely.
Kitchen was clean and family Naim just incredibly nice. Thank you for the very nice evening!
Very nice place with great service . It’s restaurant in home , you can watch your food being cooked by house owners.
Ordered
veg fried rice - taste ok , quantity seem less for 150
Indian breakfast - 2 paratha and tea, For 150. Cost effective and authentic just taste ok.
Veg soup - good just with less veggies for 100.
You can try it if nearby for hospitality and seeing how Indian make food at home.
One of the best places I have been on my month long trip around India. This is a family run restaurant and all the food is freshly cooked by the mother. I had a tomato spinach potato curry and it was just amazing. It made me feel like I was 8 years old and sitting at my grandmother's house for Sunday roast. I will definitely go there again.
Definitely a must-try if you are near the Taj Mahal. The cafe offers a delightful homemade taste in every bite. Whatever you order, it is made right in front of you, ensuring freshness and quality. I highly recommend trying their Sweet Lassi; it is absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a place to enjoy tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere near the Taj Mahal, Bamboo Cafe Shop is the perfect choice.
This cafe shares the kitchen with the owner’s house, so you know that what you are eating is some tasty, freshly made, grandma-style meal. It was the first time i’ve seen a open kitchen in India, and we were impressed! No AC room, but nice breeze on the second floor.
This is one of the best and unique places ever built in India, the concept is so real and fresh, the family is extremely welcoming and food is simply another level, they literally serve you in their own home and from their own kitchen, it’s open and you can watch the lady of the house preparing mouth watering meals. Also, if you are looking real Indian home experience and have interesting conversations and wait for the food, then this place is for you, because in this home kitchen time stops🥹❤️
Excellent home cooked food by proprietor's wife. Ordered Indian food (they have Western also) had both dinner and breakfast there, breakfast was especially good and good value for money.
Friendly family run casual place. Not super visible from street level, go up a flight of stairs to get to it.
I've never been to a more homely place. The kind owners, husband and wife, are the ones who run the restaurant. Their welcoming presence and homely treatment is all you need for a feeling of home while away from it. The food is customised as per your needs, they can make it as you demand. Overall the food is fresh made in a kitchen next to you, just like home. Everything is freshly prepared. My review may seem biased at this point, but I'll bear that tag, such is the experience, rather memorable experience of the place.
Go check it out for yourself!
The ONLY(and I mean absolute only) reason it's a 4 is because this is a family restaurant they operate literally inside their family kitchen, and the mother does all the cooking. So, the food takes a while to be made because there is literally one person.
However, EVERYTHING else is amazing. Because it is a home restaurant, they are able to customize every last thing from spiciness levels, to adding extra spices (I recommend cinnamon or a bit of cardamom in the rice pudding 🤌), and so much more. The son, Daniyal, also does some amazing tours we got to do with him, so ask him about that if you are interested!
We went twice in 2 days and it was sooooo good! The first night, we got lassi, chai, chicken biriyani, vegetarian kofta, naan, and papaya custard. The kofta was soooo yummy! The biriyani is a huge portion, so come hungry.
The second night, we got half tandoori chicken, plain rice, 2 orders of naan, Shahi paneer (oh my word- amazing), honey pancake (thin like a crêpe), and rice pudding. Everything you can tell has soooooo much love going into it. The family is all so kind. I recommend eating at this place if you only have a night or two in Agra. (Reviewer from USA)
Bamboo Cafe is a gem in Agra. We went for breakfast after visiting the Taj Mahal. The chai was very good (flavorful and not too sweet), and our very picky daughter — whom we always have a hard time getting to eat when we visit India — had a second serving of the lemon sugar pancakes. The home-cooked food is made with love. 5 stars!
Very relaxed Cafe with home cooked meals at a reasonable cost. The owners live here and care about their business and customers. Come as a stranger and leave as family. If your in Agra, you must come and eat here. Same food as the high dollar places but better atmosphere and better cost. Right down the road from Taj Mahal East Gate. Restaurant is upstairs. Ate here every day. 😁
Very cute place! Very very nice people, feels like home, they prepare the food fresh and with a lot of love! I can only recommend this place highly!
Thank you for having us and for your great food and company 🙏🏻
We were here on Feb23. Very nice homemade cook by the owner!
Cheese burger very cheesy! Less oil or salt compare with other Indian places. My parents like it 👍 highly recommend!
Such a lovely restaurant! We enjoyed our time and especially the food so much. It's all cooked by the wife of the family and made with so much love. I definitely recommend this place!
Really lovely home cooked meal in Agra, the owners are a lovely family who will take very good care of you! It was a nice touch to be able to see into the kitchen and talk to the lady cooking. The butter naan was the best I’ve had in India so far. I would definitely go back
Great place with home-made food (the restaurant is at the owners' home. You can pick from a variety of delicious food with affordable prices and see how they are made with a visible kitchen.
The owners are super nice and you can taste that they put the heart into every dish. I highly recommend the place, will come back for sure next time in Agra.
P.S. They also offer free walking tours around Agra and Taj Mahal (you tip your price if you like it).
