Loved the interiors especially the aqua blue chairs on the ground floor n bright yellow ones on the upper floor, nice calming art work, quieter than the usual coffee places, nice big screen to watch ipl over pizza and coolers! My heart broke this time 💔. I am a huge fan of Blueberry smoothie of this place but recently on Friendship day I took take away of this smoothie and this time it was watery and toooo sweet. I couldn't finish the whole but still managed to gulp more than half because I love this one. I understand may be because they had rush on Friendship day and may be the full staff is not available because of Covid. Looking forward to again having my perfect smoothie with thick consistency and proper blend. This place is my favourite because the owners are very polite and they themself give service when required. I hope this is seen and taken care of in future.

Have been at Dark Roast several times or may be more than 100 times. I can say, they have the best of coffee in town. Also have tried pasta and garlic bread there. I feel, they must extend their menu and add few basic sandiwches and few platters too. Strongly suggest the place for peaceful ambience, Good Coffee and Pink Sauce Pasta.

The coffee was really good, it was strong and refreshing. The pasta was very creamy and delicious. I would definitely consider going there again for the coffee as i really loved that. Also, it's a very cosy ambience to relax and also work if you want to!

It was like a very impromptu visit but this place never ceases amaze. I have forgotten the name of this coffee but this was just amazing.
Went there to satisfy my caffeine cravings, along with family. Second time I am going there, and I really liked the place. Ambiance is very decent. It is a relatively smaller place and quiet compared to other coffee houses. Service is a tad slow, quite decent through. We had the lasagna bites, which was hot and fresh, with the cheese being extra good. The taco was great and after a long time, I got a close to authentic Mexican taste, the highlight being the baked beans inside. And, last but not the least, the cappuccino was just awesome. It was customized to my requirements - I need extra strong coffee, and this didn't disappoint me one bit! All in all, a good place, highly recommended if you want to chill with friends and family.

I can recollect, I visited The Dark Roast around 3.5 years back when it opened. Was there to celebrate my salary raise with 2 friends. I was so happy with the food/ service and ambience that I still remember we had ordered Arrabiata Pasta, BBQ Fries, Coleslaw and few drinks.
Never got the chance to visit it again but whenever someone asked me where to get a good sandwich, I always recommended TDR. Was meeting a friend for lunch and TDR was on her to visit list since long. I said okay! I would love to eat there again.
Very frankly I was a little surprised to see that the menu had not changed, in most of the cases a lot of new addition/ removal happens in a food outlets menu over a period of time. Though there were addition which were mentioned in a separate card, we decided to order from what I call the Originals.
TDR has a house special sauce which is a very secretive recipe as they won’t disclose what’s in it, LOL. The sauce is used in 2 dishes. One, the TDR Fries and second, the TDR Pastas. I decided to try the Pastas this time and believe me it was delectable. I can surely say it was a very different and unique variant of a sauce that you might not get anywhere else. I am definitely trying the TDR Fries ASAP.
Other dishes we ordered were Pink Sauce Pasta (Jain), Coleslaw, After 8 Shake and Affogato. The sandwich was perfectly crisped as per my requirements but I felt the salad was lacking in taste. You can say the actual flavor was missing especially the vinaigrette. Tried Affogato for the first time which is espresso topped with vanilla ice cream, liked it. The jain pasta and shake were also up to the mark.
Well, I was really happy to see TDR being so consistent in every aspect and I wish they keep doing the same. However, the next visit will happen in this month only and not in the next few years. Kudos Team TDR!
NB: They need to fix the AC of the ground floor as we felt it was not efficient in saving us from the heat. Might also be less efficient as it was the only one who was on as there is separation between the sitting areas.

The Dark Roast is the best cafe in the Prahlad Nagar area. I personally visit this cafe with my fiance. My favorite dishes is mushroom Sandwich and Blueberry cheese cake.

Perfect place to dine and play games. Extremely good food. Good set up. I generally think that Nachos is a waste of money but here it didn’t seem so. I enjoyed it.
Also, they have some delicious pink sauce pasta and strawberry smoothie. Though, I was little disappointed with staff and Popcorn Latte 😅. And yes yes, there is this huge noise which is constantly there and bugs the most. But a good place to visit with a group of friends.

Judged purely on the basis of taste, this is one of the better places for coffee in Ahmedabad. These guys do know their beans and also how to extract the perfect cup of coffee. Lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, hot chocolates and basically every drink on the menu is fantastic. The food is basically a collection of several quick bites and all of them are good without being extraordinary. The only downer is the acoustics of the place- it gets quite loud quite easily.
We had great experience at the place and they have this amazing view of Highway from the window.
Interior of the place is eye-catching. Neat and clean place with supportive staff.
We ordered Cheesy Fries and Grilled Cheese Sandwich there and Both the dishes were amazing.
They serve best coffee as well.

One of my favorite places to hang out with friends. The combination I like the most here is, Cheesy fries and Oreo Shake..... #mouthwatering
To begin with, the ambience is quite decent but the cafe is not quite extravagant in terms of size and seating arrangments. If you are planning for a getogether for over 8-10 people you might have to think twice or as a precaution it would take you a couple of calls to be rest assured that you wont have to wait once you reach there.
However the fooding experience is quite flamboyant. We order BBQ Panner Sandwhich and Arrabiata Pasta and none of these disappointed us. The sandwiches were crisp and were supplimented with I guess Red Tartar condiment.The Pasta however could have been less spicy, but it was perfectly garnished with olives, capsicum and broccoli.
Overall coming here was worthwhile.

Margarita pizza with a twist was best out of all food. Nice dough nice crust and so thin baked. 😋😋 TDR pasta was something unique and recommended. Lasagna bites also too cheesy and yummy.

After my couple of last visit to places around the Ahmedabad made me really wonder, why places are charging so much for such bad quality food and at some places overcharging for their mistakes!
However, Dark Roast-- one of the few places where even at odd time of 3.30-4.00 o clock; there was no degrade in the food quality or the service! also I would like to mention that, it is one of the places where i mention that i have zomato gold and i have been treated like a normal being and not like some criminal who will not pay fully! really appreciate that gesture!
about the food, we have ordered pink sauce pasta, pizza and mojito.. all three were really good! also we were served a small pizza on the tasting menu, which was amazing as well! I really appreciate these small efforts by an establishment; this really serve the concept of Hospitality in true sense!
Will surely visit again and try the rest of the menu!

The dark roast : I guess when we listened the name, it is something about coffee and it is always good to have cafes like this in the city to satisfy your need for good coffee..I like the most about this cafe was the ambience bcs it too silent and peaceful when I went there and the walls of tha cafe was unique as well with a good colour combination and I can say I could sit for hours and hours in that place bcs it’s on the highway so you can enjoy a good view with a cup of coffee after that in their menu it’s not about coffee only you can order some quick bites so I ordered chocolate truffle pastry, corn and spinach sandwich, BBQ fries , hot chocolate and cheese jalapeño poppers and it was delicious I like the most corn and spinach sandwich : the classic combination of spinach and corn between two slices of brown bread..the perfect comfort food 👌🏻 if we talk about BBQ fries I say they value for money bcs quantity was much bigger than I expected. Some good barque sauce , mayo and chives 😍after that pastry was no doubt best and cheese jalapeño poppers was good too one time you can try that ======================

TDR Special Pasta was one of the most delicious pastas I have tried in Ahmedabad. The pasta was worth all the 5 stars. While the Pizza did not live up to the expectations. It was too bland. It tasted as if there is no sauce in it, I had to ask for Tabasco sauce to add over it.

Captain planet pizza - Smaller and less tastier than expected. The sauce was very bad, the texture of the crust was also not up to mark. Toppings and cheese were the only good thing in this pizza.

Have been looking for places that serve good flavourful dark coffee in Ahmedabad and my first glance at the name 'The Dark Roast' made my throat go all dry. My love for dark coffees made me visit this place the next morning and the visit was worth it! Hazelnut latte was a wonderful experience. I tried their Dark Roast Brew which was as strong as I thought. But as far if I compare the coffees I've tried and though I haven't discussed the beans served to me, I feel the flavour can still be enhanced and hence I've given four stars.

A nice, cozy cafe.. I Had heard a lot about the well prepared coffees that this place serves. The coffee lover in me decided to give it a try. Must say, the name is spot on. They definitely roast their dark coffees very well
They have introduced few new coffee flavours like The French Press coffee and Drip Coffee. For those who like dark and super strong coffee, this is not to be missed. Also gave a try to Expresso shots, however it was a bit strong for my liking.
I loved their Mocha, Latte and Irish Coffee. On the food front, had Aglio olio spaghetti, French fries and Cheese garlic bread.
Overall, the place definitely is a good hangout place and surely a highly recommended one for coffee lovers.

Finger Food is good, I liked the Classic fries. Garlic bread needs some improvement overall.

Best coffee in ahmedabad - loved Vietnamese coffee - it has a mixed taste of dark roasted burnt beans. First sip itself blows the mind.

Food was a total let down. We ordered sandwiches, pizza and desert. Falafel sandwich wasn't as expected but it was different and good. Pizza and cheesecake weren't good. Didn't like them.

Went there today to sit and get some work done. Firstly the ambience of the cafe is lovely and the music is mellow. The staff was courteous. Trier the latte and loved it so much that tried one more. They avail free WiFi. Great place if u wanna catch up on some work with quietness. I am gonna be a regular here. Nicely done.

The Dark Roast lives up to its name. I thoroughly enjoyed the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and the lingering bittersweet taste it left behind. The Frappe is good as well.
It's a two storey café, spacious interiors, well-ventilated. They have quirky statements all over the place, for instance the QR Code scanner 😂
They also have board games like Monopoly, Chess, etc.
The most fun part was doodling on the tissue paper. Keeps you engaged, brings back old school memories.
The vibe is everything! A small, double-decked, coffee cafe with a bar-like space to order. The vibrant teal furniture completes the space. We never got to see the upper space, as apparently they only let people up when the tables below are all occupied.
I was told the coffee is great here when I arrived, and so it was. We had Hazelnut Latte, Vanilla Latte and a Coleslaw Sandwich - everything at best.
Self-ordering is the way to go here. The service is decent. They, although, didn’t offer me water until asked. Nobody cared to clear the table, which holds not so much, after we had finished our coffees and were onto the meal.

Great place for classic coffees (which is saying a lot for a Ahmedabad).
The Pour Over (made with a bean they called Vienna Roast) was lovely - great balance of aroma, acids and flavor. Well chosen beans.
I can't get this grade of coffee at most other cafes in Ahmedabad, including Starbucks.
They also sell some of their roasts.
The attitude of the staff was friendly and helpful. That is appreciated.
The atmosphere of the place is nice and relaxed - not like a buzzy overdose of activity. But then it was a Tuesday afternoon. ;)

And the seating area upstairs was very inviting - very cosy and spaced out. And the music was even softer upstairs - which is great.
The place would've gotten a 5* rating from me of their loo was slightly better maintained and presentable, keeping in tune with the rest of the cafe. But WC flush was constantly leaking, the wall was patched up, the tap was taped up, the cleanliness could be better. Could definitely do with bit more attention. (some pictures attached)

It's quite, warm and easy place to sit, relax, read a book or play indoor game while sipping coffee. The ambience is simple and relaxing, the staff is friendly, and the music is pleasant. A lazy Sunday evening when you want to go out and not do anything hectic, just sit and relax here! The French Fries are nice, so is the cheesy grilled toast and the Cappuccino with an extra shot of coffee to make it strong! A nice simple warm place to spend your evenings.
Nice place. Nice food. Went with friends and as it was IPL time enjoyed more. Unique TDR pasta. Tried beetroot and Basil pizza so healthy and yummy. Nice quick bites. Overall nice food specially Italian.
