We have been going to Kuro’s regularly , they have the best Japanese Cuisine in town and one of the better Chinese cuisine too. Their Thai curry us exquisite . Their private dining area is terrific for a small group of 8-12 people . Their chef is excellent and their food and beverage manager Vaibhav Arora is always around smiling . A must for oriental food lovers to go there .

Kuro is no stranger to us sushi lovers..every time we’ve been here, it never ceases to please us..the closest to authentic is being served here..also a special mention to the amazing fried rice with edamame and mushrooms..the soups too are commendable..especially the miso soup and the sichuan hot and sour soup (vegetarian) all in all, kuro is a place that so perfectly satiates our palate..kudos to kuro!

It was the most amazing experience in terms of ambience, food and service...
We were little bit spectical about the food...but the experiment went amazing ...
We had ordered -
1- sushi platter (must try)
2- miso soup (unique experience with tofu)
3- wonton noodle soup (must try)
4- Sichuan hot and sour soup (taste different then the normally available)
5- vegetable spring roll (best ever had till date)
6- chilli garlic noodles (nice)
7- peppers, pokchoy, mushroom, zucchini, basil, lemon grass - it was a bowl meal ... (must have)
8- onion , capsicum, brocolli, baby corn,Chinese cabage, pokchoy - a must have bowl meal....
In the drinks we had -
1- non alcoholic beer in which they serve "kingfisher - randler"
2- mint mojito..( we liked it so much that we ended up ordering in 2 portions)
3- R punch is must have....
Overall it was a good food experience on Sunday cum friendship day....
The previously Asian restaurant of Caspaia Hotel is now Kuro renaissance hotel.
The ambience is decent and the food is quite impressive.
We tried the Vegetarian Sushi platter and it was great, special mention to the avocado cream cheese sushi.
Since its monsoons, we tried the soups as well
The hot and sour lived up to its name and was pleasantly spicy and tangy.
The wonton noodle soup is almost a hearty meal in itself and quite comforting
the miso soup was a nice simple affair, pairs well with sushi.
For the mains, we tried vegetable stir fry, schezwan noodles and two bowl meals ( i almost forgot which ones exactly)
Everything was nice, the schezwan noodles and the stir fry were both on the spicier side( not complaining )
The dessert menu looked a tad unimpressive and we decided to skip it.
Overall the food does not disappoint, slightly on the Indo-Chinese sort of flavours.
I wish they included some nice Asian teas to go with the food.

Kuro at renaissance is a place for all sushi lovers like my self. Chef Bacchan is an amazing talented person. He exactly knows what we are expecting and he nails it hard every time. Must try their 🍣 Sushi and bento box .

Eralier I came here here for their Balasinori fest. And this time I have tried their new menu. They have come up with the all new Asian and Japanese Cuisine.
Generally I don't really prefer chinese cuisine but here every single dish was divine.

It is always a delight to try some authentic dishes from around the world. Kuro has brought about a great Asian menu for the Ahmedabadi public to try.
The sushi platter was my favorite, they made sure it wasn't bland. The Platter had 3-4 different types of sushis, all of them had their own distinct taste.
Also loved the Chestnut and Asparagus Crystal Dumplings, a perfect example of balanced flavors.
Not to forget the dessert, tried the coconut ice cream, which will be a rejoice for all the coconut lovers.
The presentation and preparation of each dish is remarkable.
Thanks to places like these, we are now getting accustomed to trying global cuisines that are served in their authentic form rather than being indianized with all the Masalas and tadkas.

I was here to celebrate my Birthday. Amazing food. Had Miso Soup and Manchow. I felt Machow is better if you not a jasmine flavour fan. We ordered for Avacado Sushi which was amazing. Had Hakka Noodles which was the best we had in Ahmedabad so far. Burnt Garlic Rice was nice and flavour full. Last but not the least checking my taste bud was the Mopu Tofu perfectly cooked and well made. Heard they launching new menu soon..... Just cant wait to be back. To Good Times
The food here is quite fresh and also extremely tasty. It is a bit expensive but I would say that it is totally worth it. This place is a must try.
Though we couldn’t take the pictures (badly regretting) but the overall experience was very good. Loved the food specially the presentation. First time we tried Edamame dish and liked it very much (staff was courteous enough to teach us how to eat edamame). Also tried shitake rolls, burnt garlic spring onions fried rice & veg sushi moriawase which was the show stopper. P.S. Price is almost 40% higher than mentioned in the upload menu on Zomato. All in all highly recommended & one of the finest places to try Japanese cuisine.

We had dinner here yesterday after hearing a lot about this place from our friends.
The ambiance is nice - modern and comfortable interiors.
We ordered quite a lot of things from the menu which is the perfect size I feel (not too big and not too small).
We had -
1. Tonjiru - Absolutely delicious miso based soup! Loved it.
2. Prawn Tempura - Yummy! The batter was super crisp and they were piping hot.
3. Prawn Tempura Maki Rolls - Probably the best Maki I've had in Ahmedabad. Absolutely amazing. The wasabi, ginger and soy sauce were all good quality as well.
4. Chicken Spring Roll - Crisp shell, delicious filling.
5. Main Course - KUNG PAO CHICKEN, SICHUAN FRIED CHICKEN & CUMIN LAMB - All three dishes were absolutely delicious. The sauces were awesome, the meat was great too - the lamb could have been more tender but was still very very good.
6. Chicken Hakka Noodles - Yummy yummy yummy.
7. Tori Katsu Don - This was probably one of my most favorite dishes of the night. The sticky rice when well with all the sauces of the Main Course dishes we ordered and the fried chicken topping was yummy. It was served with soup which was delicious and cut fruits. Loved it.
The service could have been a little faster but considering the food was so good and tasted fresh it was alright. Training of bus boys could be a little better too.
The food here is great and for the price it is probably the best Value For Money place I have been.

Finally, first real Torikatsudon in India! Made in the traditional japanese way. Experience was great. Friendly staff, service is a little slow but it's okay, given they are preparing in the traditional manner.
Best soups and sweets menu. We went for buffet, the sushi was okay not bad, starters were good, main course was very good and in the desert section there were atleast 25-30 different types of variety. I loved the interiors of all spaces too.

It’s probably the only restaurant in Ahmedabad serving Japanese cousin. The sushi are wonderful with fresh ingredients so is the main course. The 3.6 ranking is unjustified for Kuro. The service is impeccable. The ambiance is also good. Must visit for people willing to try new food options.

But they had other options of Asian food too. Menu was pretty good. And our first food was only Sushi. People please try their sushi dishes its really awesome. I normally do not have sushi, but this restaurant changed my mind.

Best Japanese place in town. Authentic Sushi preparation by Chef Bachan. We loved the Kung Pao Chicken and California rolls. It has good vegetarian options as well. Very well priced and worth every penny. I would certainly recommend this place and would surely visit again.

Kuro: probably the most authentic Japanese you'll get in Ahmedabad.
Before Kuro was opened, Renaissance was already dishing out some pretty decent Japanese fare and a bento menu.
Today I decided to pay the restaurant a visit and brought a new arrival to Ahmedabad. We ordered:
California maki and unagi (roasted eel) maki
Miso glazed shrimp
Signature edamame fried rice
Kakiage soba
All in all, the dishes were well executed. The main Japanese trained chef knows his stuff. The shrimps were a tad too salty and not a typical Japanese dish. Highlight of the day was kakiage soba. I am impressed that you could find something like that in Ahmedabad. The disk of vegetable and prawn tempura (the 'kakiage') was light, not greasy and perfect to be dunked into the soba to soak up all the broth. Service was impeccable when the maître'd proactively offered to split the huge serving of soba noodles into two bowls, seeing that we were two people. The divided soba was served properly in nice bowls and attention to detail such as re-garnishing with spring onions and wakame seaweed was much appreciated.
In Ahmedabad's context, being able to have such Japanese food is a blessing for a foreigner with cravings.
Some minor suggestions for improvement:
Converting the fried rice into omu rice: essentially the fried rice can be wrapped in a runny omelette and served with demiglaze sauce or drizzled with ketchup and mayo.
Broth for soba could have been lighter with more dashi flavour instead of soya sauce. Introducing seasonal items would also make the menu more interesting, as this is typical of Japanese restaurants elsewhere.
The complimentary cheesecake at the end of the meal was really a nice touch. However, it was more of a good classic New York cheesecake rather than a Japanese style cheesecake (which is typically the soufflé, jiggly type).

For sushi enthusiasts in Ahmedabad, this is a must-visit spot. The presentation of their sushi is visually delightful, and the taste is equally impressive. While the service may not be lightning-fast, it's perfect for spending quality time with friends while you wait for your food.
My visit to this restaurant was memorable. We had per reserved table for two. We ordered Veg Shushi Platter and Dimsum named truffle edamame dumpling. Both recipe were delicious and while severing food waiter was explaining what does it contain and he was kind enough to explain about different sauce and basics of chopsticks. Interesting sauce as Wasabi, I will not ruin your surprise but will say one should try it for sure.
Talking about ambience it's has great interior and nice view of balcony from few tables. Time take to get your food was around 20 minutes, it had arrangement of candles as well. I would say it's worth a shot.

This was my second visit to Kuro. I think i have now covered the whole spectrum of Veg and Nonveg dishes here. My first visit was strictly Vegetarian. And I was quite contended with the taste even with only vegetarian as Asian food is predominantly non-veg. Yesterday we tried wonton dimsum soup, Pork Baos, Chicken Momo, stir fried chilly basil chicken with Jasmine rice , Kat su dong( pork), and Thai flat noodles( prawn). Momo was a bit non-special. Everything else was really satisfying, specially the chilly basil chicken with Jasmine rice.
And from the last visit, i remember Sushi was great.
This is better than any other 5star Chinese/ Asian restaurants. You are paying premium,but getting worth your money.
Cons: the restaurant was understaffed on a Saturday night! Only one waiter was looking after 4 tables and I had to wait for him. The person who takes order (Badshah) , he is otherwise polite, but when asked for 2/3 soup, he said " we do not do 1/2, 2/3 here" that was a bit rude. I have been to restaurants, where i was told that the serving per soup very less for division, so they won't be able to do, which is way polite than the way Badshah presented.
One of the chef Govind came down at the end just to greet us. He was nice and more over he cooked really good food.
The restaurant offers good discounts in all the platforms, so do avail that to make the bill better fitting to your pocket.

Loved the ambience, Tried lotus stem and chestnuts , and pad thai noodles, which were I would say average in taste.. but also good. Service was a bit slow but people are polite and are happy to help you with the menu.

Woktoss edamame:If u like edamame you'll be munching on these.Medium spiced.The flavours of garlic & chilli oil make the dish flavourful.Tip sprinkle sea-salt.
Gyoza:Asian dumplings are vegetarian pre-dominantly.These were pan-seared.Medley of veggies have soysauce,ricevinegar,sambal olek.Cravingthese!
Dips Served:Coriander chutney,Schewan,Dry chilli
Vegetables Chilli basil sauce:An authentic thai dish.Medley of exotic veggies.Soysauce and redchilli sauce compliment the dish.This is a hearty dish.With dry redchillies making it full-bodied,the spice levels are simply wow.
Jasmine Sticky rice:The grains are sticky and slightly sticky texture and cling together.I call them a gang of friends.It was soft chewy and slightly sticky

Surprisingly good modern asian food located inside a 5 star property in Ahmedabad. After ordering 6 dishes between 2 people , it was hard to believe our total invoice was under ₹1000 per head. Everything was fresh and nicely plated
The food was great as well as the service was good, we had amazing experience and the ambience is super calm and Anu was at our service, she served us really well.
