We have ordered Gathiya and Jalebi, it was testy and good, chatni and marcha was good but their special 'kadhi' was awesome, and the Delivery was also on time.
Firstly i was shocked when i see that zomao is delivering a tea also just sitting at home that too in an affordable price. When i ordered to gave it a try, it charged me 38 Rs for 4 cups of tea. When tea was delivered, it was packed in a proper seal packing with 4-5 disposable cups all in a cloth bag. And thanks to the zomato valet who took effort to deliver such a small amount order with such a nice gesture

If you're in Ahmedabad, you shouldn't miss this place. Even on a Sunday midnight, this place is overcrowded and I can vouch for a crowd even on weekdays.
They are known for their chutney more than just gaathiya and that's what drives the sales here. Gaathiya is definitely good but the chutney is out of the world. And top it up with Rajwadi Tea to make it complete. I haven't tried anything else since we come here exclusively for gaathiya and tea.
They have some tables (without chairs) available where you can stand and it but it's almost always crowded inside. So, the best way is to park your car/bike outside (wherever you find a place) and bring the food to your vehicle. There isn't any designated parking - people just park outside the shop or along the wall on the other side of the road. On a busy day, parking might be hard to find, especially if you have a car.
However, this place is great - all the more because it is 24 hours now.
Trivia: Our current Prime Minister had his first "Chai Pe Charcha" here.
Sunday mornings call for some calories and streetfood cravings. This outlet Opp Karnavati Club is famous for its Fafda Jalebi combination, they serve it hot and their packing is also spill proof for oily food contents. Make sure to be there on time or you woud have to wait in queue for a long time before you get to enjoy their items. Jalebi is consistent and never disappointing same cannot be said for fafda though because it often becomes soggy very soon.

I reached Ahmedabad early morning and my colleagues from Ahmedabad office took me for breakfast at Iskon Ganthiya which was only few steps from there. I was surprised to see the menu. I expected poori, kachori with some sweet sabji but when i saw that they had just namkeen with chutneys i thought to myself how can i have this for breakfast..this is for evening tea..how much namkeen can one have? But i kept quite..
My colleagues bought ganthiya ,papdi and french fries which were all served in newspaper. They told me to have it with kadi, green chutney , raw papaya dip and green chillies which were already there on all the tables. To my surprise i ate a lot...every time trying the besan namkeen with some or the other dip. The coriander chutney was not so spicy and had a little sweetness. The potato chips were also a little sweet. I also had chaach with my "nashta". I ended up enjoying my nastha a lot and was happy that because of my local colleagues i could eat this. Other than the ganthiya, they also have jalebi and bun maska. The place is open till 2 am and they have the same things going all day and it is upposed to be always crowded.

A decades old gathia and related snacks shop that people line up to have breakfast / semi meal, serves Yumm food with curious accompaniments.
Short description- in case u r in a hurry:
This shop has been around for decades. We climbed a few stairs to reach the dining hall. On one corner there was a cash counter where guests were making payment and getting a receipt. They had to then reach the other corner to get delivery of the food. On receiving the food guests were walking on to one of many steel tables, placing the food on it, standing around it and eating. The tables had chutneys that go with the food. They also had jars of kadhi on each table, complimentary. The staff members hardly interacted with guests. I asked something to one guy. He did not seem interested to reply. He was cleaning all tables like a maniac robot as soon as someone wud finish eating.
There was no menu card as such. All items were displayed. There was a small list on the wall. All the 3 items that we had at this eatery was made essentially by the same cooking medium, from mostly the same ingredients but were given different shapes. Different shapes have them different textures once eaten and that brought about a difference in eating experience. Before I walked into this store for the first time I had no idea that I wud see full families eating a good spread of just fafra, gathia etc for breakfast.
Detailed description- in case u hv the time to njoy reading:
Fafra (long thin blades) was crisp but not totally brittle. Loved having it just as it is as well as with the green chutney. Rate it 4/5.
Gathia was thick, almost (intended) cylindrical in shape and tasted quite good. This was crisp yet moist. Loved having it just as it is as well as with the green chutney. Rate it 4.25/5.
Gathia chips were thin small square sheet like in shape. These were crisp and yumm. Rate them 4/5.
Jalebi was served cold but it tasted very good. It had a mild fermented feel and hence a good balance between sweet and sour. Rate it 4/5.
Kadhi was thick and nice. It had a sweetish tinge. Tasted very good. Rate it 4.25/5.
Large sized Mirch ( non hot but flavourful) was served as accompaniment.
Raw Papaya chutney was chatpata and crunchy. It was a bit hot and had a slightly sweetish tinge. Rate it 4/5

One of the plus point is its open till 1 am. So we mostly preferred to visit it after 11 -12 pm with friends and drink tea at there.

Iscon Ganthiya is not the place which needs introduction among amdavadis.
It is a go to place for any ganthiya,fafda, papdi or jalebi lover. Though their name suggests ganthiya but they tend to offer more than just ganthiyas. Their menu comprises ganthiya, papdi, jalebi, fafda, rajwadi cha (rajwadi tea), rajwadi chass etc.
Their speciality ganthiya is to die for and they serve it with awesome quality but their other items are equally good and worth mentioning. Their rajwadi tea is also quite popular and one must try it once.
This place is open shop where u can have quick snacks and they also prepare items in the front part of shop. They also serves accompaniments like green chutney, sambharo and leela marcha (fried green chillies) and all are of good quality. Their packaging of accompaniments have improved largely in recent times and u may not feel unhygienic if you are taking parcel to your home. One fact worth mentioning here is that recently they have started using environment friendly bags for parcels and which is also of high quality so in such way they are discarding use of plastic bags.

What a breakfast it was!! Celebrated gandhi jayanti with a fresh and tasty breakfast... Had ganthiya at famous ISCON GANTHIYA located just opposite to karnavati club near SG highway... Ganthiya was very fresh and soft, and it tasted yummm when i had it with that special khatti mithi chutney and onion salad and green chilli...with a combination of chilled and fresh buttermilk....the way I'm describing this famous mouth watering dish I feel like having it once again.. Thanks to my friend cum roomie who took me to this outlet!!

Best gathiya in Ahmedabad are available here, the mirchi here they give with the gathiya not at all spicy and chutney is awesome, the chai is very refreshing and many famous people like our PM Shri Narendrabhai Modi have tasted its gathiya as per the photo placed there, so must try it.
