Brillaint food! The galauti kabab was the best we have had.. the murg lababdar gravy was phenomenal and rotis suoer soft! Biryani was flavoured well and meat melt in your mouth
I went in with my family and at the first look the ambiance and the very well mannered staff I like it . The service was also good but the food was not up to the mark it was ok the tandoori butter roti was comparatively small as compare to other restaurants and also as compare to their price which was 35₹..
I had chicken biryani and chicken bhuna masala 👍

I came here from its Nawabi style name and menu they offer. As I already had my dinner, I just wanted to try some dry items. So I ordered "Assorted Maitawa Kebab Platter". The other reason for ordering this is I saw small documentary about Lucknow's special Gawlauti Kebab. This platter includes this. The taste if Gawlauti Kebab was awesome. It just melted when you put it in your mouth, just like an ice cream. This platter includes total of 12 pieces with varitities of other kebabas. The atmosphere was also charming like you are sitting in an old haveli or palace. One must visit this place if they want to try Lucknow's taste. Overall good experience and value for money. Will visit more in the future.

Truly a hidden gem !! If you love kebabs and you are in Ahmedabad you definitely do not have many options. Looking for those authentic Galawati Kebabs ? Come to Spices of Awadh and you will feel you are in Lucknow ( The Kebab capital of India) . The ambience has superb hand art pieces of monument and structures of Lucknow. The staff is very courteous ( may not be very profressional but yes very courteous) a rare thing in Ahmedabad.
They have got lot of options offering Platter combos with Parathas , Drinks, Kebabs of all varieties2. Galawati Kebabs here are the closest to the taste of Tunday in Ahmedabad . May be the next closest ones are The Great Kabab Factory, Awadhpuri and Varanasi. The aroma and spices are really different from any other restaurant of Ahmedabad. Surprisingly they offer Chicken Galawati as well. Mutton Galawati is something you cannot miss here . Not an expensive affair here. A meal for 2 will be under 1000. Hygiene levels were very good. Located just near Agashye / Central Bank at Lal Darwaja.

Spices of Awadh- The name itself tantilized the taste buds. I thought of my favourite and rare galauti kebabs, the biryani and the shahi kormas. We visited the place on a weekend and it happened to be the day after they had celebrated their first anniversary. Located in the busy Lal Darwaja, it may not be easy to find parking during peak hours. Just after the main entrance is the chaat corner that serves lucknawi specialities like the Raj kachori and dahi puris. A door then opens into the restaurant seating area. The walls are painted with monuments of the Mughal.era to bring the Awadhi touch. Apart from that, the interiors are just average. They had a live performance which was good for the evening!
Best place to hangout. Superb galauti kebab and platter and Lucknowi biryani also very nice. Live music is the cherry on the top. Had a great birthday eve..
The word Awadh took me to this reataurant as i am a true lover of awadhi kababs. Loved the range of kebabs in their menu. Especially the Galauti kebabs. Once been to Lucknow where i tried the Galauti Kebabs. The galauti kebabs at the Spice of Awadh recalled all the lovely memories...
@spice of awadh is a good place for food lovers. Its have a good Ambience. Historical places painting on wall is quite different from other place. Mouth watering delicious food with a smiley service.

A Family outing with parents and Kid and decided to have a Dinner here, we came all the way from cross the river to fill our taste buds after hearing a lot about them.
Ambiance was decent, nice paintings. sittings are OK. We set on sofa on the sides which were comfortable but cooling was an issue.
Staff was courteous and ready to help but service was slow.
Coming to Food... first thing was on my mind was Galouti Kebab as heard lot of good review about it from here, but it came raw.. meat was pink and under cooked. we asked the captain he recooked it for us but then the outer layer was overcooked and tasted bitter. Big disappointment.
we also ordered paneer tikka, Chicken labadar, yellow dal with tawa rotis and they were nice. Over all if I ignore the starter experience (I know there can be bad days) the food was nice 4/5.
Want to thanks them for providing courtesy food for my toddler. (Rice and Curd)
One must give it a try if they are in that part of river.

That succulent, tender and melting kababs of Awadh.. *Galaouti* is the name. You know where to go and satisfy yourself with the taste of Awadhi Cuisine now. My taste buds are intensified by those ulte tawa ki roti, Mutton Korma (in curry), Mutton Biryani. *slurp* #gastronomic
It lives up to its name . The decor is amazing . The food is perfect I love the unlimited platter arrangement . Gives a hell lotta variety. Also the whole collective feelings of Awadhi food ushers during the meal . So I guess mission accomplished?
Best place in Ahmedabad for non veg lovers... galouti kebabs are a must try... the food does a lot of justice to the restaurant's name... a must go place for meat cravings...

My first review in any ahmedabad restaurant. ...SPICES OF AWADH.....as the name suggests they tried to match the decor with paintings and mehraabs and succeded. ..though the airconditioners were not up to the mark...ordered galouti kebabs which were a little saltless with parathas. ..paani puri....raj kachori was yummy and finished off with murgh korma and roti. ...can visit again for more varieties

Ok, this is arguably the best non vegetarian food I've had in ahmedbad in a long time, this place is a must visit for meat lovers.
Mutton Galouti kababs were perfectly made the flavor of the meat was coming through nicely.
Mutton awadhi korma had the perfect spice touch to it and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection.
The Murgh lababdar had a slightly sweetish tangy thick gravy to it, lot of tomatoes coming in with their flavor (tarkari dardari ekdum).
The biryani was ok, the meat in it was perfect, but the rice lacked the separation it needed, (chawal khila hua nai tha).
Had the kasmira drink after a long time, competing with sosyo neck to neck.
The lassi shots were smooth and creamy and thick, yumm !
The galouti kababs came with ulte tawey k parathey, nice it was.
Overall a super meal, along with a great host.
Food will always taste best when made with heart and soul . this place serves food with a soulful taste of awadh . if you are a foodie then you must visit this place . there is a variety of kababs which is unexplored. Food is tasty and above all it is cooked in a healthy way with less oil and balanced taste of spices.

I like places where people smile. Because at the end of the day this business demands hospitality. Manager greeted me with a broad smile and kept on attending each one of the customers. That made me enjoy my food in a nice way. Every one serving me was also sweet. Food was nice, filling and tasty. I had taken Veg Thali. Lassi served in a tall glass was something i had never seen before. The indoors can be a little more lit up. Rest is fine!!
Everything that we had tried here is certainly distinct and superb. As stated, it's avadhi cuisine and it had never disappointed us anytime. Be it a platter, paratha, lassi, curries, biryani or chaats. One of my favorites now.
Spices of Awadh brings the authentic Awadhi flavours into the kitchens of Ahmedabad. I must say it is one of those few restaurant where I want to go again and again. Their Galauti kababs bring in a unique blend of flavors and texture that work majic to your taste buds. They also have a great collection of chats, freshly prepared at the live counters. There is also a section of South Indian food with various types of dosas, batura, idly and more. I visited the restaurant many times in my short visit to Ahmedabad, and was thus able to taste it's wide menu selection.

We visited to this restaurant few days back and really enjoy their food especially Mutton Galauti Kabab
and Awadh Murgh Korma . The staffs are very friendly and their charges are also very reasonable compare to others, we will visit it again.
I am fond of tasty food and love to explore new eating destinations.when i came to this restaurant, looking to its ambience and theme, my expectation was very high and i was not disappointed at all. Amazing royal lucknawi food and its quality. I had an incredible dinner and wonderful service. Ahmedabad is full of hungry hunters like me who like to hunt at new places for excellent food.

I do visit Ahmedabad frequently, and on my last visit this January I happened to go to Spices of Awadh. I visited this restaurant not only once but multiple times during my short stay of 2 weeks. Their Galauti kababs and Kakori kababs are my favourite. I also loved their chats. It is one of the finest restaurants in Ahmedabad, and I will definitely go here each time I visit Ahmedabad and would definitely recommend everyone to try their food.
We went today actually looking for some other place. But when we saw it we thought let's give it a try. The staff was very courteous. Food was good and low on spices. Portions were adequate. Good ambience. Clean toilets. What else do you want?

We really love this restaurant. It is quite expensive but for what you get it is worth it. They give you lots of little courses as well as your main one and it is all delicious. The staff are really friendly too.

Always preferre shahi tukda it was very good authentic awadhi style. the taste of shahi tukda is still in my mouth.

If your are food lover (specially Non veg) and your are in Ahemdabaad you MUST check in SoA. Awesome food specially cooked in Lucknowy spices. Painting on the walls have all the heritage of Lucknow.
And, hospitality of their staff will make your feel awesome.

Had chicken and mutton kababs with ulte tave ka paratha... One of the best kebabs in the town. Kabab(Dahi ki pasliya and mutton galauti kababs) are must try for non veg lovers. Ambience is picturesque as well which is an epitome of Mughal era. The owner, Mr Bilal was very helpful and hospitable. Highly recommended.
All the starters here were really really nice, i particularly liked the mutton Gilawati Kabab, Kakori kabab & Murgh Parchey, really tender meat and cooked to perfection.

Restaurant ambiance is really great. you can say its a selfie destination. paintings are really nice. But everywhere there are so many of paintings.

Visited for my son's birthday dinner, was not fully operational until then. The staff and the owner made every effort to make it a memorable evening. The kababs and parathas were EXCELLENT Finally, a good change of taste!! Visiting them soon since they have introduced Main Course now. Expecting a different and better taste. A must visit for all the authentic Kabab Lovers.
Wow.... Really great place to for Non Veg and Veg food. Their kebabs are really out of the world. Gilawati kabas are awesome, Murgh malai Kababs are great, Chicken tikka really good.
