The only place in Ahmedabad which serves tender tandoori chicken, thats not fibrous! Chicken Lollipop is very flavorful and addictive! Skip everything else.

I have come here so many times just for the chicken biryani. I have no words for it. It's just perfect! Proper amount of rice, chicken and spices well distributed. This is my favorite place in Ahmedabad for biryani and I'll continue visiting regularly. The butter chicken also is superb here!

Returned to this restaurant after 10 years as I was shifted to another city, when I landed in Ahmedabad this restaurant I had to visit,had some wonderful memories of this restaurant and its food . As kids my dad used to bring us here at all special occasions be it birthday or any celebrations we used to always end up here. The favourite dishes here was the Chicken boneless Briyani and Chicken lollipops for me. Was skeptical as if the restaurant would have maintained the same standard and taste, ordered couple of starters along with our ever favourite Chicken lollipop and to my utter surprise they were just as yummy as we used to have it in our childhood days, just having a bite in those juicy lollipops transported me back to my golden days, it was just too good to be true. The Chicken Briyani was the 2nd thing that we ordered and it was just as we like it soft succulent boneless shreds of chicken in a spicy moist rich Briyani rice nothing can get better than this it was pure heaven on my plate, why other places in India don’t make this kind of moist Briyani I miss this so much, wanted to try the gravy dishes too but my tummy was too stuffed, maybe next time i will enjoy them. Hats off to the management and the restaurant team specially the chef who still maintains the old charm and the yummy food, keep up the good work and keep us serving good food for every.

Tried their yellow dal and jeera aaloo. The dal tadka was very good, but jeera aaloo was just okay. The roti was good; and food was economical.

Another restaurant which didn't have good briyani either. But I think the other items on the menu was good. The ambience is perfect. Kudos to the interior designer for he designed the islamic motifs as partition walls with great intricacy!

From Soups to Starters, Sizzlers to Main Course all food items score high in Q&Q (Quality and Quantity). The ambience is slightly high-brow although the decor is not that modern.
I am not saying that their dishes are perfect - no, I have sometimes tasted better dishes elsewhere. It's just that they rarely get it wrong. When you are tired, not in any mood to experiment and just want solid, no-nonsense and tasty non-veg food, this place never lets you down.

Visited new one near Gandhigram rly station. We had fish fingers, chicken lolipop, mutton both kebab, chicken (bl) Biryani. All good 3/10 types but the highlight was chicken kesariya (starter) and tandoori roti (softest that one can imagine). These took overall experience up by one full rating point... Good ambience, nice service... Definitely worth visiting again

My favourite restaurant, one reason is because it's located opposite Sidi Saiyad Ki Jali's Mosque. It is one of the most notable restaurant of wall city. Easily not viewed from Rd side as located on main Rd but distanced from footpath. A narrow pathway parked with bikes leads to restaurant. Undoubtedly one of best of city for Mughlai Food. But there is no waiting area so avoid Saturday-Sunday. But still go on Saturday-Sunday and utilise waiting period to check out the great Sidi Saiyad's World Famous Jali.
If you have a taste for typical Mughlai food this si the place to be ..The Makhmali chicken tikka is well made .. Butter chicken and chicken Kheema Puloa is a must try.
For mutton lovers must have the Dal Ghost..

Ordered Chicken Tikka masala and butter roti. Have to say, the Tikka masala was delicious! Delightfully buttery gravy with soft, succulent and beautifully cooked pieces of chicken was a real treat.

The only drawback I had was that the chicken they use was kind of crappie, you know like the one you get on street where you need a microscope to find a bite of meat, or else it's just bone..but hello! !! For the price, you can't complain. Overall, must try. Not a good fine dine restaurant but ours was to go thingy so we really didn't care much.

Having a weekend hangover, I was really not in the mood for non veg grub, however the 6 other people with me did not think so. So non veg it was, and where else but Food Inn on a balmy Monday evening. I was introduced to this restaurant on my first visit as 'Our Family Restaurant' by my partner and sure enough, no one had to order, the Food Inn people knew what the group wanted and started service immediately.
Coming back to our latest visit, I was surprised to see people waiting outside even on a Monday evening. This city sure loves to eat out!! We didn't have to wait long and tables were joined to seat our group of 7. Apart from the usual Chicken Tandoori, Butter Chicken, Chicken Afghani and Butter naan; I tried the Tomato corn and cheese soup. My bad! I would surely not be ordering the soup again. Ketchupy (if I may call it that) is how the soup tasted. The Chicken Afghani, with its thick white gravy and garnish of fried egg kind of made up for the soupy disappointment. Butter chicken was one of the better ones I have had in some time, without the sweet overtones one usually associates with the dish.
One of the surprises the evening threw at me was the Macaroni and Cheese with pineapple. Now, I had made Amdavadi jokes about this dish ever since I had heard about it. It could be an acquired taste, but a pat on the backs of all those who are crazy about this dish and proudly endorse it. I likened it to warm baked dessert ( I even tasted hints of cardamom in it!) rather than a starter or main course. It had less of Cheese and more of floury white sauce. Maybe it was not the right place to order this dish.
We ended the meal with a misleading frozen fruit triffle cake that everyone insisted on calling a pudding. Pudding or a cake, it was a good end, though not the stuff dreams are made up, but good enough.

Has been frequenting this place for the last 15 year but no change in taste. Butter chicken remains my favorite but also egg preparation has been very good

I have been visiting this place since forever. This restaurant is the favorite of my family for any occassion. It used to be a very VFM place but over the years has moved on to become a little expensive. However, the food is still awesome. We generally take away food from here so the ambience really does not influence my review. In terms of food their Butter Chicken n Fish Masala is a must try! Not really had much of their veg fare but their Veg Jaipuri is very good. Overall a very good experience if you are a person who enjoys good food. Have visited umpteen times and shall continue to do so.

One of the popular non.veg restaurants in the city side area. The location is amazing as you can see sidi saiyad masjid from the restaurant gate. Also it's on the border of the city nehru bridge so people from inside and outside of the city can easily choose this restaurant.
-1 for the parking. Its free but the parking is too small. Don't even think of coming with a car. Staff is well behaved and the best possible service is available.
The restaurant is neat and clean. The washroom is there. The food, the food is amazingly delicious fr. Some of the items like Sizzler, Butter chicken, keema pav, ahh you will be heaven tasting these ones.
The price is a little costly compared to other restaurants. On the food side, it's great and unavoidable as a foodie.

I’m just an two month old in this new city Ahmedabad and I have already visited them 4 times, even took once my guest there! My 6 year old daughter is in love with there Tandoori chicken, super soft very mild spices, just perfect for kids!
One most important thing, I’m taking about there branch which is next to house of MG, coz I have visited to there other branch Ashram road also and the taste of food not as good as this branch! So if u want to have proper authentic mughlai Ahmedabadi food then visit to there main old branch which is next to House of MG!

Yesterday had some mouth watering food like butter chicken with soft butter naan, chicken manchow soup & kesari chicken tikka.
The taste of butter chicken was something different super tasty and different from other butter chicken must try it.And talking about kesari tikka, the pieces very big and juicy , mild spices and very yummy in taste.Manchow soup has authentic chicken stock taste good for 1year old baby.
This @foodinn restraunt in old ahmedabad city is much different from others in taste, must visit if you are a non veg lover.

Chicken tikka although might be a speciality for this restaurant but they were mild,juicy and soft. They were not very spicy but good to taste. I dont recommend u to eat it with very tasty starters otherwise u will regret ordering it.
Butter chicken was very tasty and soft and tender pieces and none of it were burnt. The gravy was a bit mild sour and sweet along with a perfect spice and buttery layer of thickness. I do recommened with tandoori butter roti
Fish ordered as king mackarel was very soft and fresh. It did not had any smell and the gravy was also yummy.
Now coming to negatives
Food was good but do check the bills as they make mistakes on it but they do correct as u say them. Cold drinks recommendation is only go for sosiyo otherwise other coldrink does not fit very well or they taste not like one we buy from stores.
Next to try I would definitely wish to try the biryani next time because we were already full by the dishes we ordered. I saw many people ordering biryani and the rice were looking like pearls and very long grain
