Ambika Dalvada is located on Anandnagar road, opposite Kandoi Shop. Dalvada and Dalvada khiru available in regular and jain. I have used Dalvada khiru which is best. Best khiru to make Dalvada at home. Must try.

We were 7 and ordered 750 grams of hot piping dalwadas. DALWADA is mandatory in Ahmedabad whenever rain comes so the rule must be followed. Came with onion slices, fried green chillies and squeezed lime for some sourness. Amazing dalwadas and Best in Ahmedabad!!

Well whenever u feel to have dalwada then there is only name ambica. This place is serving dalwada from last 42 years n let me tell u its just mind blowing.
Most imp its v hygiene n as this dish is deep fried while eating u will not feel tat oily or oil left out in your hands tats shows the quality.
Second best thing is the onion he serves with dal wada it completes the dish.
When you are in Ahmedabad, you cannot afford to miss the Dal Wadas. Though there are various places where you get Dal Wadas,Ambica is one of the best places in Ahmedabad to have Dal Wadas in Ahmedabad.
A small kiosk with a few chairs to sit and eat a hot plate filled with Dalwadas, this is one of the most loved fries item stall in the city and has always been on the top. Undoubtedly their Bataka Vada and Dalwada are exceptionally crunchy and they always serve them pipping hot making it taste the best. Service is quick and the onions and chillis are generally cut in front of you and not left lying around for hours making it stale. Good choice for a quick evening snack on cold winters or monsoon days!

Nonetheless, if someone decides to come here, they shouldn't even look for an ambience or staff service.
It's entirely for the love of dalwada people. 30rs per plate. 5 dalwada. With fried chillis and sliced lemon.
And if God is kind to make it rain, what more on earth do you want?

Dalvada, green chilies, friends, my students and rain, all goes hand in hand for this super yummy dalvadas... All of us are big fanatics of this place... Very simple and mouth watering...
This is a simple joint which specializes in making "absolutely perfect dal wada's" ... and if it's raining in Ahmedabad, this is THE PLACE where you visit or order from. The dal wada's (fritter made from coarsely grounded gram) are best served fresh and hot, along with chopped onions and fried green chillies. Usually it becomes quite spicy, to the extent that you start watering from your eyes and nose, but it ain't fun if that doesn't happen ;)
They also provide "khiru" if you want to take the raw material home and cook it yourself - I have tried it a few times, and is quite effective.
Usually there is a waiting time of 15-20 minutes on any given day, and a lot more on a rainy day given how much we amadavadi's love dalvada's in rain.
No frills ... excellent taste !!! Go for it ...
In rainy days this place is great to get your Dalvada or Khiru. I visited this place repeatedly. You might require to wait in queue on some heavy rush hours. Raw material gets exhausted many time even before evening.
Taste and freshness is always at its best. You can eat this anytime.
People are hard working and ever smiling in nature.
I have tried dalvada many times from here n all time it was up to the mark. Once tried khiru n it was also good. Want to visit it again and again.
In my opinion, this is the best place for having dalvada. The taste and the crispyyyy-ness remains the same on my each visit. They serve fried green chillies and onion along with dalvada which adds to the flavour. They have a waiting period of atleast half an hour if you go there in monsoon. The owner is a very humble person who takes the order and serves you very decently. I would certainly recommend a visit to this place....
Their quality and consistency needs no elaborate mention for these can easily be confirmed by the no. of customers queued up every evening and the fact that if you get here after 8, your chances of getting a taste of their dalwadas are not very bright! And its not just a awesome dalwada place, they also make fantastic gota, bhajiya and onion tikki. Bite into the piping hot preparations dipped into "kadhi" with some onions and salted green chillies as sides and you could almost say that's an entire meal!!
Awesome dalwada....so yummie...👌👌must try once in a week...they provide good quality of food nd cleanliness at eating space ... I think every amdavadi like it
Dalvada in lunch, have you tried? I did. Nice taste, garma garam with spicy green mirchi. Dalvada made with yellow plain dal. Very crunchy. try in monsoon, you will enjoy.
I am not a big dalwada fan, but this place serves the best dal vada i hav had in my entire life. Located on anandnagar road, this place is easily visible for passers by, and you will always find yourself in a queue if ur wanting to buy something at any time of the day. Its that famous !!
I even love their methi na gota and bataka vada. The later one is my favourite. Best wen served hot though.!! Eat-in is recommended den take away.
The place is pretty decent. Service is average. Waiting period increases to 20-30 mins on weekends. So plz keep that in mind while goin on sundays.
But, its a must try place for farshan lovers 👍👍

Best dalwadas in the area.... Crunchy..... Hot....tasty....you could compare it with gujarat college dalwada... Still confused which Ambika dalwada branch is original but this one worth visiting.
The dal wadas are too good and served very hot....... The quantity is in weight so no issues ...... Have wadas with chai .... You will enjoy

Good morning fellow foddies...let me bring forth the review of this dalwada joint which I visited today morning around 10:00 hrs...
Today morning when I was going to drop my wife around 7:00 am, at that time only I had my staple breakfast of corn flakes...personally speaking I don't like corn flakes but on wife's insistence I have to eat corn flakes every morning... duh........

Ohk, let me come to the point, as I had early breakfast so I was feeling bit hungry around 10:00 so I straight away headed towards Ambica Dalwada to flll my stomach with piping hot dalwadas always accompanied with onions and salty green chillies.
At the entrance of eatery, they have placed a placard displaying 100gm dalwadas @ 18; but if you want to eat there itself then they serve plate @ 20rs (i.e roundabout 110 gms)....they have very naive seating place with 2 tables.
So, I filled my stomach with 100 gms dalwada. Though my stomach was full, I decided to satiate my taste buds with another round (so today, I'll have to jog in evening too :)
On taste parameter, the batter used was very fresh with not a overdose of fermentation (this is the general phenomena with almost all dalwada joints)...however, I think little garlic and green chillies in batter itself would have created wonders..also, the dalwadas were perfectly crispy from outside (which is a most important sign to diffrentiate good from not so good dalwadas)...
Additionally, for the experimenting lot like me: I would suggest you can take-away the batter @ 100 kg, to surprise your family @ home with your own creation ;)....Do remember, bit of garlic with green chillies....
All in all, I would say do visit the place and get back with your comments :)....as my office is nearby only I would charge a plate and guide you to this joint ;)...I love to help people ;)
I thing which was quite intriguing: In the room itself, they have kept 10-12 oil canisters of "Kanak" ground nut oil and that is double filtered; (smart marketing tactic/strategy of registering the point that joint uses pure and healthy branded oil :)
A very nice stall of Shiva's. Provides excellent hand crushed cold coffee with a premium taste at around 40 bucks!
Various other mixtures with chocolate and bournvita available. Quantity is good and the taste remains the same.
