This is the best place to have authentic south indian cuisine in Ahmedabad. Even though I have been visiting this place for years, I still prefer Mysore Chatpata Masala Dosa as I loge spicy food. The paan served with the bill is also another speciality here.

The taste and quality of food has always been the same. I have been visiting here for 7-8 years to have good south indian food. It's always the same. Good ambience and service as well.
Love the sambhar here, and coconut pan at the end is like an icing on the cake...
Best dosa I had in Ahmedabad. Price reasonable and quantity sufficient. They even give unlimited sambar and 5 types of chutneys. Pan at the end of the meal seals the deal. Worth going to again and again. Comparing different restaurant of same chain, this probably is one of the best

Food is awesome. Pure veg food. Great Jain and Swaminarayan food. You can go and hangout with your family and friends. Deserts and grill are awesome options.
I actually went to had Masala Boondi but ended up ordering Kara Mura Dosa, Indian Bhaji Dosa and Three Barrel Dosa. Masala Boondi and Indian Bhaji totally won my heart.
Spicy crispy Boondi with diced onion, tomatoes and green chillies garnished with coriander is the must have. Special Indian Bhaji Dosa had delicious indian masaledar bhaji into the dosa was my personal favourite. The only thing which I didn’t like about Bhaji Dosa was the quantity. Before i could indulge its taste properly, it was over. Kara Mura Dosa was that one proper crispy dosa with some southindian dry powder onto it. Three barrel dosa was three in one dosas- Nilgiri dosa, Mysore Dosa and Plain Dosa, i didn’t enjoy eating this one.
I am surely going to go very soon to have Indian Bhaji Dosa with Masala Boondi again.

A perfect place for South Indian food lovers. They have alot variety in dosa’s. Being it Paper Plain Dosa or Paneer Dosa the taste is delicious. They even have Idli and Vada which you should definitely try.

Those are the evening chants for Ahmedabad since ages.. from home- made ice-creams to specially crafted versions matching international standards and evolving needs of the new age foodies. A tasting session was organised for Food Entrepreneurs of Ahmedabad (FEA) Group, attended by Anil Mulchandani, a renowned author; Dilip Thakkar & Raju Thakkar of Gopi Dining, Sonal Kellog, Darshan Rawal etc. where Atul Budhraja, VP – Operations of Ramada Hotels (another venture under Sankalp), said, “We have observed this trend in Europe where such stand alone kiosks are quite prevalent and is convenient for people to grab a shake or an ice- cream on the go.. Hence, with growing trend of food-trucks in Ahmedabad, this is another model introduced in the F& B industry. We are looking forward to expand, Screamery as a brand under various models, be it franchise or company owned outlets across geographies.”
Mr. Ajay Oza, Head – Softy Division in Sankalp mentioned, “The new brand line, Screamery – An Ice Cream boutique is an innovative approach to serve new age desserts like waffles, thick shakes, sofites, sundaes and much more to give enhanced gourmet experience to ever yearning food connoisseurs.”
The sundaes here are served in waffle baskets, so eat that bowl too and go clean and green.. not leaving a bit JJ. .from being topped with slurpy sauces, to candied versions; all taste awesome!!
The thick shakes at Screamery are a must try ones, as they aren’t icy... but rich and creamy!! Highly recommended is lychee flavour having the real pulp of fruit in it.
I also tried my hands on “Cheese Maniac” – A cheesy blueberry waffle, completely unique, especially for cheese lovers.
We also created ourselves a “Candied Heart Throb” loaded with gems, fruits, strawberry and saffron sauce, ice cream and topped with sandwiched waffles... can we ask for anything better on earth!!
Highly recommended for Amdavadis to head on to a fruity, nutty, saucy and crunchy experience!!

Sankalp is very old and famous place for south indian cuisine. As soon as we enter, we didnt get much impressed as the furniture and other stuffs are too old. This place really needs a nice makeover.
We ordered Idli Vaghar. It was good but quantity doesnt match the price. I am fan of spicy dosa and so i ordered Chettinad Spicy Dosa which was not atall spicy. Disappointed. The only think i loved was Sambhar. Its was yummy. Even the mocktails were worth a try.
Place like Sankalp and that too S.G. Highway outlet requires no long reviews. As an individual review I can put a few words as it’s the authentic, classy and one of the most consistently maintained restaurants in Ahmedabad.

Visited Sankalp after a lot of recommendations from people. I ordered all their "popular" dishes looking at previous zomato reviews. This place felt like come-order-eat and leave, no ambience to let me have a good time. The food also was too salty for my taste. So even though the service was super quick.. I dont think id ever go back again.
Amazing ambience.. Must Try cheese spring dosa... It's awsome if you like salads.. SAMBHAR is its monopoly... They are giving 1 on 1 free cold drink.. Like mojito..
Visited here with family and overall it was very nice experience. Ordered masala vegetable idli in starter and it was nice, with garlic curry. In dosas ordered mysore masala, golden crisp and rava masala dosas. All were good. Sambhar and all the chutneys were fresh and tasty. Lastly ordered kai kari biryani.It was best among all. A must try. Ambience is very good and service is very fast.

Sankalp has never disappointed. Always a go-to for South Indian food. One thing that I always order when I'm eating at Sankalp's is their Cheesy crispy idli. They are off the charts! I tried the Dosa Platter this time-they were all just fine but that is because maybe I like my dosas the traditional way. The Cheese Chilly Uthappa lived up to the expectations.

Sankalp has always been the best south indian restaurant for me in Ahemadabad. It is the only place in ahemdabad where the sambhar is not sweet and is exactly upto the original taste of the south indian Sambhar. from the many branches of sankalp, i personally like this one for its location. This place is heaven for south indian food lovers. I am a fan of their simple paper dosa, crispy and uniform. Masala boondi is a must have as starter. Their Fried idli is best in town. Their sambar, coconut chutney and tomato chutney are complementing the experience.

Rasam idly with generous rasam, medu vada. Dosa and Uthappam must try. Sambar and rasam served in a Alauddin magic lamp type saucer and washing off with filter coffee.. The server was serving as if he read each ones mind and expectations. When the bill arrives with paan you don't check the bill twice....leave a generous tip.

Amazing taste of South Indian food. Mysore masala dosa was so yummy, the chutneys are just like we do at our homes in South India. Rava Dosa was crispy and yummy 👌. One must surely try if they are a South Indian food Being New to Ahmedabad we drive around to find a good place to eat. I was more particular to have have a South Indian food. After a long search & rejecting 5 to 6 places we landed up at Sankalp. The exterior of the Resturant isn't appealing but we we entered the Resturant we found it to be very well designed, perfect indoor temperature meeting upto international standards, extremely polite & humble Manager, waiters , captain.... Food was excellent and authentic South Indian in taste ... Had to most wonderful experience and came to know that they have branches not only all across India but World too.....
