Spices & Herbs works great as a combination of decent food, ambience and a rooftop vibe that amps up everything. The menu is a standard one, and hence great for large family dinners. Moreover, a few intimate seatings also cater to livelier crowds.
The food is good, with the paneer delicacies being especially worth the money. The staff is courteous as well

In central location near to the government offices. It's in a mediocre shopping area.
Ambience
Good furniture and decor. Nice materials and lighting with good use of natural looking materials. There is a large semi open roof top area. There are two AC area with glass walls. Music is bearable but the usual TV with cricket was there. This is always a distraction for the waiters so we told them RK change the channel. The toilet was clean but completely inaccessible from a wheelchair.
Food
Excellent preparation, quality ingredients and good flavour. We had a paneer dish, some jeera rice and some dal. Apart from the jeera rice being too oily the food was tasty and in good proportions. The best part of the meal was the stuffed mushrooms. This was excellent. The chaas turned out to be more of a lassi but it was well prepared.
Service
From the moment we arrived the staff were excellent. Very kind, polite and attentive. Seeing how Gandhinagar was generally very low class we were expecting less of the place.
As soon as we entered and chose to sit in the rooftop area, we were given the cabin side which was great to give you a little privacy! Quite a romantic setup. We did not want to eat heavy dinner so we opted for trying starters and sizzlers. We ordered the Spices N Herbs Special Paneer Tikka starter which had soft paneer pieces with crispy texture. The way cheese was stuffed between paneer pieces along with the tandoori flavor, I was in love with this dish! The next we tried was Chinese Sizzler - a perfect blend of rice, noodles and paneer chilly served with Chinese cigar. It was yummy and the quantity was enough to suffice 2 people. At the end, we were surprised with a complimentary Paan Shot, which I tasted for the first time and loved it. The staff was very attentive and polite. Wonderful experience! 😊
It's one of the best Restaurants in Gandhinagar. They serve quality food and have well-trained staff. Twice a week they have live music. You can choose to sit inside or at the terrace and enjoy the view. Food quality is just wonderful. The must-try dishes are Mexican Chilly Bean Soups, Punjabi food, Pasta, their soup to dessert meal and Pan Shots.

Tried papad kebab (a unique dish) must say , papad rolled over potato and vegetables mashed... Crispy and tasty kebabs...had pink lady mocktail with tail.
Dal takda from the main course was the best and most tasty thing on the table
Lahori kofta was also good but it was a bit sweet with gravy. If you like sweet gravy dishes u can go for it
Tried cheese garlic naan which was actually stuffed with melting cheese... Very nice to have if you are a cheese lover, and the butter naan were also fresh and crispy to have.
Jeera rice tasted real good with dal tadka

🍄 A serendipitous serene place situated just across PDPU and the buzzing education hub at Gandhinagar, Koba, heralded us with a supremely elegant program for our Food Group of 27000 members- Hunger Hop , of Live Music with Romantic songs located on an open section of the top floor of a commercial complex – Swagat Rain Forest.
🍄 Located aptly along the main road with immense greenery and great atmosphere to enjoy a sumptuous meal with family, friends or your sweetheart. The décor is tastefully done with strips of wooden flooring with white pebbles to enhance to the natural feeling while you enjoy a fine dine meal.
🍄 As I reached the place early, the central illumination lighting controlled with a state of the art remote control caught my attention with lovely rainbow of colours being shown to me where the golden shade made our evening glorious with golden memories while our 30 plus odd member team enjoyed live music perhaps after ages as –per the feedback given to me personally.

I had dinner at spice and herb last Sunday with my family.
Place is bit awkward but inner look is very pretty. We ordered sizzler and some Chinese.taste was good and quantity was OK.
Staff service needs to improve bit.

I had a late night train back to Mumbai and I was dying to have some good food... my friend milind recommended spices and herbs. The place simply upped my mood right from decor to live music to courteous staff especially Chandu Lal who served us with a big smile. The food was exceptionally tasty, after a very long time I ate good Punjabi food.
Nice place and a good option for multicuisine food. We ordered plenty of things such as paneer platter, baked macaroni, cheese butter masala, chaas, cranberry cooler, Margherita pizza, and dal rice. The food was good but somehow, the place turned out to be expensive. We are 6 of us and the cost went to 500 per person which is really unusual. Otherwise a good place and good to go.

Had Tomato Basil soup.cheese garlic bread and Mexican platter. Totally worth it. Good ambiance and friendly staff. I only have one complain the Sharbat(Mojito) is just a rip off. TBH it's not about the restaurant but the drink is just an overpriced Sharbat and shan't cost that much.
Cheese garlic bread was supreme and soft, never had such a cheesy garlic bread elsewhere.Mexican Platter was decent, well cooked rice mixed with tomato puree, beans and vegetables. The serve size is great, it easily caters to two people.Approx cost for two is 800-1000rs.
I'd recommend to go in large groups not only to save cost but to be able to enjoy more delicacies. Perfect for a family for a friends' get together.

A good place for lunch; very cost effective, we had two unlimited executive lunch (menu photo attached) at just Rs 349 only. It started with soup, corn tikki, one baked dish, then main course had three curry options followed by an ice cream and paan shot. Ice cream (raj blog) and paan shot was really nice. Staff is also courteous and service is good. One thing that could be improved in their wash room. Overall a good and cost effective place.

Went to spices and herbs twice with my husband and brother in law. This place has nice ambiance, you can select whether to sit inside or in open air. Would recommend to have Veg Angandawi and Mexican Hot Pot. Offers more variety than most of the restaurants in Gandhinagar. co operative Staff.

Spices and Herbs is one of the best restaurants in Gandhinagar. The Rooftop has a beautiful video of Gift City Gandhinagar. The Food is great and the service is also great. Must Try Dishes: Mexican Chilli Bean Soup, The Assorted Panner Starter, Cheese Hot Pot, Hyderabadi Biryani and Pan Shot (Given Complimentary at the end). They also have live music twice a week. There is a huge projector screen for Match lovers. The outdoor ambience looks beautiful at night.

You will not expect such an great ambiance while reaching towards the restaurant, but once you get in it's a completely different and place with great ambiance and a great food treat. Had an usual Punjabi from soup to desert everything was good and the interiors added to our great experience.

Spice n Herbs, an old name in the green city. One of the obvious choice for office n family get together. My review will be again for Jain delicacies. Soup not so great. Starters and main course are well served i.e. Both in quantity as well in taste. Punjabi cuisine is their Forte. Thumbs up for this place. In mid range on pocket.
