Quite a pleasant place for family dinner. The taste of food and the ambience is simple yet attractive. Do try their kababs, taste as well as the presentation would definitely leave you happy and satisfied. Overall a good dinner place.

One have to wait at least half an hour..on weekends over here...tables are for large groups or families..and its bit congested...staff is humble and courteous..food was ok..i ordered paneer kolhapuri..it was tasteless..kulchas were ok..

Have been a saffron regular since ages. I guess they were amongst the first ones in Ahmedabad to introduce the concept of buffet. The starters are a complete value for money, especially the paneer tikkas. Overall the food quality and taste still remains top notch. Definitely a must visit for vegetarian buffet lovers!
Last week visited this place. May be 3rd or 4th time.
We used to order unlimited meal.
Right from soup to dessert everything is just perfect.
Variety of menu and quality both superb.

Good food. Starters are good. Tasty stuff paratha. But service is avg. Tasty all vegs. Limited option in ice cream . But all over food is delicious.

Overall it's a more of nice place to go with family rather than in general.
Without Zomato Gold this place is slightly heavy on pocket, because of the quantity served .
But with Zomato gold it is very pocket friendly.
Food experience:
1) hot and sour soup is like any other place nothing great not bad, usual average it is.
2) cheese roll - fantastic, must try , something worth having in place of usual barbeque paneer starters.
3)paneer balti- okayish it is , don't go by the description on menu card .
4) paneer chatpata - good taste and good quantity. Worth it.
5) Rotis- plain rotis are good but NOT suited to people who like having softer rotis .

Saffron, the name is enough. Not all outlets are good, but this one is great.
Had been here with friends for Unlimited Dinner.
And mark my words: it was just perfect.
As it was weekend, so there was huge waiting, But I had booked table.
The rates of weekends are higher than regular week days.
First, it started with Lassi shots, and one Dahi puri each. Lassi shots were amazing. I wish I could have more, but were in limited quantity. Dahi puri was kinda ok ok.
Two varieties of soups : Tomato π
and Sweet corn π½ were made available, both were fine.
Then, there was Paneer chilli dry. It was also upto the mark.
Backed Macaroni with Pineapple was not upto the mark...
Then Live Barbecue grill was put on our table.

Main course comprised of 3 Punjabi sabzis, with options of Naan, Roti, Kulcha etc.
Well, after having heavy dose of Starters, we only had some in Main Course. But, the sabzis tasted very well.
Then, Dal-fry and Jeera Rice.
At last, in deserts we were served with Banarasi Pan wala Ice-cream. It was Yum-yumπ.
A very heavy appetite after all this.

A one more restaurant in city to serve very delicious Punjabi food. The thing I like the most about this place is they are stick to their punjabi menu and not serving many cuisines like italian or chinese etc. Ambiance is also very calm and happening. Staff is well trained and polite. Their baked macroni is a must try thing. Overall a worth visiting this restaurant.
The best place for north indian lovers. Excellent service and a nice place to enjoy with family as well as friends!

Visited here today for a team lunch. Ambience of this restaurant is awesome. We had selected unlimited lunch. They have a sit down buffet which is so comfortable for the huge spread they have. Soups, lassi shot (definitely recommended), live barbeque (2 starters), kebabs, cheese potato (must try), crispy corn, dahi wada, baked mac to start with. Condiments were already available in table. Main course had 8 different varieties of roti, 3 different types of curries (paneer, mixed veg and aloo bindi). Paneer was the winner. We liked the methi paratha from roti basket. Finished with dessert (pan flavoured ice cream). Service was courteous. A completely satisfied foodie.

I am late to review this place but since past few years visiting this place many times. It was really good and new concept from them while they had opened new.. few years back. Food was also really good but by the years quality and service were down but on my last visit I was surprised! They had improved too good in food and serving more quality is upgraded. In addition they had launched Molecular recipes which are must try in Ahmedabad in such affordable price. Keep going. Happy with the make over and updating. More they had improved barbecue quality too.

Visited this place on a Sunday evening for dinner. We finally got in after waiting for an hour. We ordered their unlimited meal which consisted of soup,
Lassi shots, 5 types of starters, baked dish, roti, naan, stuffed paratha, 3 types of subjiz (pictures attached), jeera rice-daal tadka, biryani and Ice cream, along with salad and rosted papad. Well the number of varieties was too much, but only the barbeque starters were something that could be considered tasty. The service was very poor. The rates are economical (472 INR per person including GST). Nothing extraordinary about this place, other than the starters. Worth visiting sometimes.
If you are a group of people then you can surly visit this place and try their unlimited lunch/dinner as it is worth a try. They are undoubtedly serving a good food and in good quantity but they need to keep up a constant pruce range for a unlimted dinner because they are increasing their price in very short span by which they can loose their customers!
But of all, can visit here when you are offering any birthday party or a treat! ββ

Narayanji was very helpful and gave us great service. The food was great. Removed the sizzler option and added a chhole chaat option (not worth replacing from customer pov).

A good restaurant to visit for a hearty yet "budget friendly" meal when in Ahmedabad . The staff is very courteous and attentive. The food quality is amazing, the taste is very flavourful. The service is quite fast. We visited on a Sunday yet we did not have to wait much for the food. Since we went on a Sunday we were in waiting for the seating, but that was barely 15 mins (we went at 7:45 pm).
The atmosphere inside is good and busy. A must visit restaurant (specifically this branch), for great food and an amazing time.

Amazing experience!! Food quality was so good. Service was really good, humble and fast. I suggest you to go for unlimited lunch/dinner to explore more varieties. All the items were moderate to very good in taste. The dishes which I liked the most are-Gobhi Manchurian, Mix Veg Lucknawi, Bar-be-que and icecream with Brownie. Suggestion for some dishes: Paneer Amritsari was not good in taste, it should be more enriched with spices and Tadka, Dal Tadka should also be more spiced. Overall taste was really good!! One of the best place to eat a lot of varieties!! Thanks.
Saffron has been our families one of the favourite restaurants & we enjoy the food.
The quality of food is v good & tasty.We all like their butter rotis v much bcz they are v thin & soft too....Ghar jasi.
Soups were also tasty & so was the starter.The sabji's also were v tasty.
Like even after having a heavy dinner,we didn't feel like our stomach has gone full.
The staff was also very co- operative & nice.... there's good & safe parking space too.

Delicious food with quite reasonable price. Polite staff and good service. Specially Mr. Narayan Singh. I really recommend everyone to visit here when you are in Ahmedabad . Only one problem is that parking. If you are having four wheeler than parking is big headache.
