Biggest & Yummiest Sandwiches of Amdavad. YES, I am talking about collegian sandwich. It's decades old shop in ellis bridge area which serves one of the best sandwiches of Ahmedabad.
The owner won't let it's price down, but instead serves a sandwich with all the ingredients which he has and which he can add. The collegian special sandwich is so big in size that one person can't eat this. You minimum need approx 3 hungry persons to eat this one sandwich.
It is loaded with so much cheese, butter, choco chips, chocolate, jam, and all the things which can be added in a sandwich.

Recently I visited collegian sandwich centre.i had ordered 2 spicy vadapav and 1 veg.sandwich with spicy.i don't know that the shop is famous in that area.i testing and I fan this shop.all price are resnable.the test of the food so good.

This can be aptly termed "Sinful Indulgence".
I ordered their signature 'Collegian Sandwich' alongwith a 'Chocolate Cheese Sandwich'.
Collegian Sandwich which serves four as per their recommendation is a visual treat. It was loaded with a 100 gm butter slab on the top and the amount of cheese they use is capable of exhausting Amul of their cheese stock for the day ;)
Word of caution, this sandwich is capable of running a months workout but at the same time is absolutely irresistible.

As a sandwich lover, I am always looking for a new place to try and one of my friends recommended me to try Collegian sandwich. And here I am to try the huge, messy collegian sandwich.
First of all, it's one of the biggest sandwiches that I have ever tried. You will have to figure from where to start as it is covered with a lot of butter, choc chips, cheese. It is a club sandwich in which the first layer contains vegetable and another contains masala. Talking about taste it is not too good but yes it worth trying.
This place usually not has much crowd so you can expect good service.
Note: Trying this sandwich can get your hands and mouth really messy so be prepared with paper tissues.

Pocket friendly and value for money. The place is famous for it's jumbo sandwich(shown in the picture). There is a large variety to choose from. They serve Jain and Swaminarayan sandwiches too. The place doesn't have sitting capacity so you have to eat on your vehicle or standing just outside the place which is right on the crossroads. The Sp. Collegian sandwich was little difficult to finish for two of us. Highly recommended

One of the tastiest quick bites located near the Ellis bridge and Gujarat college. Their Sandwich are lot tasty and rates are affordable. They don't have any seating capacity, will have to hold and eat else take a parcel. It will be a favorite shop for the people residing nearby.
For me it's difficult to find place. Its taste is good. I ordered collegian special, it is huge but I can't eat properly and massy may mouth and hand. just one thing in this sandwich no need for butter it makes dirt on hand and mouth...

The collegian special sandwich is the best and biggest item they serve with (in punjabi language you can say) LOVE which means cheese and butter. Came across this place when was checking out the place near my hotel. And that sudden cravings for a grilled sandwich brought me here and i ordered a grilled Veg Cheese Sandwich.
It was loaded with cheese, slices of onions, beetroots and tomatoes and that dollop of butter on top got me drooling. It was decent in taste nothing extraordinary but was filling. The mint chutney was bit spicy and the sandwich tasted better with it! The place was very crowded when i was there but service was very quick. The staff here is friendly. I saw someone buying something of bread with loads of masala peanuts on it and when asked one of the guy who was making sandwich he told me its called Butter Sev Sing (peanuts) and i instantly ordered it. It was just one bread topped with loads of butter, sev and masala peanuts. It was way better than sandwich and one of the best and unique street food i have ever had! Extra 0.5 rating for this item!
I also wanted to try the Special sandwich it was very tempting but the guy at the counter told its huge like a half kg cake and is for 2-3 or more people so couldn't try it.

One of the most generous sandwich outlet of Ahmedabad. I ordered a butter vadapav and a cheese sandwich, and was surprised to see the amount of butter and cheese that they put in their items. The taste was also amazing. If you want to stack up some carbs and fat, do visit this place!

This is very famous place to have collegian special sandwich, which as my friend said, can satisfy 3 persons sandwich hunger. And it really is. The thing I don't like here is the butter that they use. I don't know which quality butter they use, but it definitely below quality of Amul Butter.
While my experiance says they use way too much butter in a single item.
Yes what I like is the size of MaskaBun. It's larger then other sandwich parlour.
One good item to taste here is one breaded slice with spicy peanuts.

The collegian sandwich-I have heard this name so many times from my friend & this food joint became so famous over social networking sites & became talk of the town.Since afrernoon hours viz.3 to 7 are the time where most of the restaurants & hotels are closed,the only thing remains open are snacks corner.A random plan was made in my mind to visit the place to know whats all this hype is about..
It is located opposite gujarat college & just beside the overbridge,easy to find.At first ordered veg cheese sandwich..It was evening hours & not much rush was there,it came in a flash since it was not grilled.i must say i didnt find any wow factor in it...it was usual & regular taste ....vegetables were fresh & so the bread..Sev was sprinkled over it & sauce was also usual..still couldnot figure out the hype behind it....
Then i decided to try out the butter vadapav,as u can see in the pic itself butter was literally dumped over it,u name it & thats the butter for u ....never seen before this much quantity of butter over a vadapav...let me tell u here again i could not find any wow factor...there are only two places in ahmedabad where u can go & have delicious vadapav...First is Shreeji krupa vadapav opp.himalaya mall & second is jaybhavani...
The chutney he gave with the vadapav (green) was way too spicy & may attract lovers of spicy food...but overall both items were okayish..service was quick too.they r having one special variety in sandwich i.e special collegian sandwich but that is meant for 2-3 persons,so next time when i m in the group ,will try this one.

We have tried the Cheese grill club sandwich,Cheese chatni sandwich,Vadapav etc sandwich is okay okay but the Vadapav is best so must recommended.

This place is really old near gujarat College and provides one of the best sandwiches. And they have opened a new branch near the underpass next to the hotel westand. This time, we had tried grilled sandwiches, vadapav, dabeli, and puff. All of them were good and fresh. There are tables so you can stand there and eat. No seating arrangement is there because this place is for having some quick snacks and pizzas.
Good Shop of its kind. Remains open at deep night. Standard items, reasonable price.
