Delicious thali with lovely ambience. The food is authentic. They are serving the great Indian food with classic presentation. The vessels are of those olden days 'kasa' metal which gives ethnic feel. Overall you find yourself placed in a royal cultural banquet.

Very surprised to see the negative reviews here as I found this restaurant incredible. Starting from the welcome, sitting arrangement, service and taste, everything was way beyond satisfactory. Now I am new to Gujrati thali, so dont really know how it is like. But for someone, who has the faintest notion of how it can be, this thali was the best option.
The platter was served with each of the menu being introduced. I liked the taste of almost everything, special mention to the khaman, a beans sabji, and the sweetdishes. The only thing that I was not that fond of was the dal.
This place is a strong recommendation for all those who want to try Gujarati flavour
Generally I do not have gujarati thali, had to visit with family. Food was good and service was bit slow due to sunday. Better food than atithi thali.

Puranpuri : Looked more loke balushahi but damn this thing filled me up so fast, they served ghee over this so generously
Sitafal Basundi: I have tried this but my mom found it good

It was a Thursday evening when my family decided to go out for Gujarati Thali. A friend recommended me this place.
This place is on the service road on the SG Highway near to Pakvan Cross Road.
Decent ambiance and welcoming staff. The place looked quite full considering a weekday. We were some 15 people and out of which 10 people opted for Gujarati Thali & we also ordered some Italian food as the manager recommended.
We ordered:
- Alfredo Pasta
- Veg kadai
- Backed macaroni with pineapple
Everything tasted just perfect. Kaju gathiya sabji, puranpuri, Alu ki sabji was completely different than what we get in Ahmedabad - Spicier & tastier. Also the dal they serve is not sweet one.

Visited this place when it was recently opened. They keep on changing few things in the fixed Gujarati thali. The quality as well aa the quantity was good enough. One could visit this place if they want a change from the usual punjabi or chinese cuisine.
Thakar Thal is serves excellent Gujarati food and serves varieties of farsan. And everyone serves with homely courtesy which is a speciality and USP of it. Each and every food item is delicious.
A cozy place for kathiyawadi taste thali. Won't disappoint gujarati taste lovers. Serve many dishes along with their all time fan favorite Puranpuri and Rajwadi Undhiyu. Try gujarati dal they have, will taste way different than normally you get around.
We ordered 2 Gujarati tiffin for dinner, we are six people, we get 2 sweets, 2 farsan, 3 veg sanje, roti, bhakhari etc etc... Like kadhi khichdi, malpuva, live hot dhokla. We spared some foods, 2 tiffin have enough food for 8. Food is good but packing was not so good, ordinary plastic bowls.

D best eva kinda of presentation and serving skills yet discovered!! Epic and unique creations. The flavours, d blends were damn flawless. Loved it.
Well must say the serving of dum biryani is truly lovely and epic, all you could just improve It by adding up d quantity of rice a bit so that could perfectly blend d dum.

I was longing to eat gujararati thali. Had been really long !! Heard about this place from few people .. the ambience wasn't that good but for the price they charge they offer you a decent thali. Good food , good varieties.. Service was prompt !! Aamras was yumm !!

The food is different from regular places like Atithi, Pakvan and Gordhan Thal..I am pleased at least one Gujarati Thali offering retaurant has a few subjiz without Sugar. You need to develope taste for this thali.
This was our first visit @ this place and food was tastfull one of the good new restaurant in Ahemdabad compare to other Gujarati food serving This is Quit Better Must visit once.

An Authentic Gujarati Cuisine and Continental Cuisine Restaurant.
I am very thankful to Mr. Nitin Chavada, Partner of the #Thakarthal chain of Restaurants for inviting me to have the dinner at the venue.
Ahmedabad has never been on my hot favourite list of good thali places but visiting THAKAR THAL changed my entire image of thali. Never had a good experience with food earlier but this place just raised the bar. Its a branch of the THAKAR THAL; Morbiwala in Ahmedabad ( which is the best by far) and they serve with utmost love and pampering. Variety of the food is great. 3 farsans n 3 mithais which is a good option. Aamras seasons r always more fun. The food surely lived upto its expectations. And all the other vegetables & Dal, Kadhi etc were almost perfect. But the most imp factor here is the love we were served with. Not for one second we Had to ask for anything, it was served to us before we demanded it. And we were literally pampered to eat our fill as kids are forced for one more morsel by parents which really touched us.
In most thali places the mithai & farsan don't keep coming back to your plate easily as that's the business strategy by most restaurants but here I beg to differ as there wasn't a single thing which didn't keep coming to our plates within seconds.
Nitin bhai also showed us the Kitchen where the food was prepared and it was extremely neat and clean which displays the hygienic condition and purity of the food..
Would surely come back for more real soon.

We went with family, as it was weekend obviously there was waiting. Their waiting area is small, but we could get a sofa near air conditioner. They served good food and service was also quick like any other Gujarati restaurant. But farsan was not fresh, Dhokla's were ice cold. Even PURI's served were not hot. Though chapati were hot and very soft. I liked Undhiyu and Panch kathol, also hot small crispy puran poli and seasonal Mango Rass..though it was bit sour. Insted of Gujarati delicious items most of Gujju Thali is now containing some non Gujju food. Paneer sabji and dragon potato was not making sense to me. Insted they could have served some real pure Gujarati delicacy like patra, handvo or khandvi to make it more traditional. Any ways I enjoyed few items out of many and had satisfactory lunch.
Had tried the food few weeks ago as it was dinner time the management was asking to try ala carte we asked for the thali and they were happy to serve . 4 vegetable 2 faraan and am ras was served with many chutney and salad the fruit raita wAs also good. But only thing was the food should be hot but every thali place i have tried the vegetable the serve is not very hot its always room temperature. It should be hot nice taste small details should be taken care of

Thaker Thal is not new for me because I was several time visit in Morbi, so when I heard about it I am so eager to visit.
It's nice interior and environment with very spacious waiting Lodge. Food is very impressive and all items come with good manner. It's my season's First AAM RAS & it was mind blowing......I never eat this type of AamRas except home.
Really It was very good experience with family.
What they need to improve : Valet Parking & experience Staff.

We have tried Gujarati Thali at your restaurant recently. You are going to become Major competition for other Gujarati Thali restaurants established since years. Though manpower coordination require improvement but I think we should not compare recently opened restaurant with any restaurant which is 10-15 years old.

I have been to this place with my wife. My wife is not a gujju and she probably hates when I say I wanna have a gujju thali (its all sweet for her). But this is one of the few places she would love to go. She has been there without me with her friends and probably thats one of the things that shows that she loves the food. Its proper authentic food and every taste was just perfect (not sweet as other places). We went here and everything looked just fine
Food was good, Staff was very welcoming and as far as the services are concerned. This place has just opened recently so it takes some time in getting the coordination right. Give a benefit of doubt here.
The food we had was very authentic, services seemed alright. They brought us what we wanted (served hot). They also served us tikhi kadhi separately and that was a cherry on the top never had a tikhi kadhi as good as I had at this place. The place was very clean including the washrooms.
I would say that as compared to other Gujarati thalis served in this area, Thakar Thal tops the hygiene chart for me.
Just dont hesitate much and give it a try.

Started serve by mango Ras n it was awesome felt like home made natural taste Dan time for Puram puriiiiiiiiii superb tasty never had crispy taste of ever anywhere else Dan time for farshan Dahi kabab delicious taste Dan we dad dhokla and cutles Dan time for maincourse Undhiyu was very tasty sweet spicy n tango flavour Dan rasavala alu chanadal kathod n Punjabi subaji Dan had awesome dal n long white rice n papad by taste felt like lizzat Kuram Kuram yummy
