120 for a vadapav seems pretty expensive but it’s worth to give this vadapav a try. Their vada is quite different from the rest vadapav makers here. And they assure you quality as they use amul products only!
They serve the best vadapav in town. Undoubtedly, by far, the best I ever had. It gives altogether a different taste. Loved it. And go early to grab
This is must visit place in Ahmedabad if you are foodie and want to taste vadapau loaded with butter (actual amul butter)... The green chunety is so tasty that you actually feel like eating it more and more... it's like cheery on top of the cake...
I have been visiting this vadapau place since my school times... at that time my mother use to take me when i wanted to eat, as it was on the way from my school to home...
Since that time till now the taste is still the same unique, maintained the quality and if u go there u will see that they will ask you to park your vehicles properly if not parked properly as it is surrounded by residential area which is really appreciative...
Place is pretty quite, shop is considerably small but once you have the bite of vadapau u will feel as if u are on cloud 9... yummmmmmmmsssss....
HL vadapav is one of the oldest and well known place for Vadapav in Ahmedabad. The vadapav’s are very delicious. People might feel that the rates are bit high then the rest of Vadapav places in Ahmedabad but it is so worth it. Good quality food should be a priority. I recommend it to all.

The place serves one of the costliest Vadapav I've had. The same is also very tasty and is full of butter. the best time to have it is in monsoon.

It's a self service outlet , service - preparation speed is good , you don't have to wait much even while having a rush.
Taste is so much maintained over the years ( may be decades ) , I can easily bet to identify vadapav with blindfold. People who don't like too spicy ones can order "light " versions , and they do take care of that.
Yes price is exorbitant, you can't get vadapav with Rs. 100 ++ anywhere else. But the taste and quality is unmatched.

A perfect blend of spices and esp. just the right amount of salt, inside the bun as well as in the vada!
Even after half an hour my vada pavs were still crispy and tasted superlicious!

their store is really open and looks pretty hygenic!
I loved their innovative way of packing which prevented the food in the parcel from becoming moist and soggy!

Have been visiting this place since last 5 - 6 years. Best Vadapav in the City. Again I was there today and in addition to Vadapav & Masala Butter Milk, I also tried their Masala Bun (without Vada). It tasted awsome. I always forget to take pic, I always recall after I ate it so no pic even this time but a MUST HAVE Vadapav of Ahmedabad

Being a person from me, it was for the first time for me to have Vadapav with Pav roasted in butter like Dabeli and served with tomato ketch up instead of Chutneys.
Anyways the taste is good per Ahmedanad standards.

Bt it was nice and worth it. Buttermilk was very nice.
Vadapau was spicy. Their chatni and ketchup is also nice. Bt go for normal vadapau. Cheese blocked the real vadapau taste.

H.L. Vadapav stands upto its reputation. One of the best vadapav I have eaten. Though Mumbai is famous for its vadapav but I would always recommend vadapav here as they are not dry like the ones in Mumbai. H.L vadapav serves you vadapav full of butter, cheese and a lot of spices. The vadapav actually melts in your mouth because of the butter.
I would recommend this place to everyone who likes food with overdose of butter and spices.
HL Vadapav is literally a hole in the wall that serves some addictively delicious vadapav. The outlet sells its goodies off a cart jammed in a nook and there is very little parking around it.
The vadapav, however, is simply mouthwatering and comes in three varieties - normal (oil), butter, or cheese. Mumbaikars seem to relish making their vadapav dry, but Amdavadis add some chutney to theirs and make it wet. That way, it does not dry out your mouth when you eat it.
The prices are ridiculously high - double what they are in other similar outlets - but the taste is to die for! Clearly, there is a reason HL Vadapav can get away with such prices.
The place offers cold buttermilk with cumin and salt to quench your thirst, a relief in the hot Amdavad sun!
All I can say in conclusion (and with regret) is: Mumbaikars move over, for Amdavadi vadapav humiliates anything you've got!
One of the oldest and the yummiest vadapav stall in town. The parking is a but fussy, but other than that excellent service. it is expensive compared to other vadapav vendors, the taste compromises for all. A must eat place.

Awesome place.. A nice hangout place for the HL students.. Nice sitting arrangements, tasty food and least of all a place where students are free to chill, enjoy.. I'd definitely give 5 stars but I'm giving 4.5 Bsce I still think that there is need for improvement in time taken to give the food..

While thinking for writing a review of my recent visits, felt why not write something for street food, at last they deserve more real credit for not only filling our stomachs but also for tempting us again and again.
After quite long, went to HL vadapav today and picked up butter vadapav.
Jay bhawani, some of other local vendors all serves quite yummy vadapav but moment you eat HL's you simply feel that this is the best vadapav I can have....his vadapav is nicely made...not over spicy...not over buttered...right amount of ingredients also make more delicious food!
Lot many amdavadis won't agree here as they feel n believe extra butter n extra cheese make food yummy but it's not true...saying that frm personal experience - as I'm part time chef.
His chutney is also something you can relish...not that you need water alike other places's chilly filled chutney.
Apart frm his location and little parking issue for even few mins....his vadapav gets full 100 out of 90!
Missing 10 - has minor room to improve the receipt to make it more delicious!

Eaten the world's best Vada pav ever. The amount of butter kept while making it is absolutely flavouring the Vada pav and you always wish to have one more. Small place but big impact. The place is absolutely amazing. It's a little expensive but truly worth it.
HL Vadapav is the most famous vadapav shop in navrangpura area and in all over Ahmedabad. They were selling only vadapav since 20 years. We tried there most costly vadapav cheese delux vadapav worth rs 150. The vadapav is too delicious and the butter they use in it is unbelievable.

They used half of piece of one packet of butter!! .I heard many times about this but never tried! yesterday my friends were planning to go there and have vadaapav!!

HL vadapav is very famous street food. It's best for vadapav lovers. taste of vadapav is awesome.very Hygienic stall. They gave fudina green chutney and tomato catch up. They add jeera in vadapav for add unique taste. Bad thing is that price is very high for oil vadapav it's rs 50. But there regular customers comes everyday to eat vadapav.
