We ordered a Maharaja thali which consisted of 3 roti, papad, 2 subji, 1pc Gulab jamoon, dal makhni, 2pc tikki, 1pc lassi, everything was really nice except tikki that was bit hard and cold. The mango lassi ordered on side was also good. Overall a worthy experience.
Food was really good i have ordered tandori platter which is really enough quantity for two persons along with decilious in taste service was very fast and quality also good and ofcourse value for money place overall will go for 4/5 rating
One of the best Egg biryani in town. Cost friendly and taste was just yum. The authenticity of dum biryani in Mud pot, quiet impressive. Good luck!!
Good food. A little high on spice but personally preferred to taste. Have placed multiple home delivery orders with them as well and my favorite has been their thali and their chicken combo.
One of best food court in Ahmedabad one mall.
Best taste in North Indian food and their varieties of good..
Tried chole bhature which is perfect in taste..
Tried matka biriyani which is also amazing in taste..
Good place to have and awesome food..
Most of the time I have tried thali's and platter from this place during our visit at Ahmedabad one mall! Experience was good! Must try! Service is fast!
Chole bhature here is love. Value for money 5/5. The kulcha platter with dal makhhani is amazing. For food it is 10/10. They also have the starter platter which is again super tasty.
Some amazing chole bhature we had during our visit at Ahmedabad mall. Located at Food Court of the mall, punjabi by heart serves some amazing food. We tried Chole bhature. Love it. Just perfect for one person. Pretty filling.
Keep it up team Punjabi by heart.
Cheers
Must must must try their winter special Sarson da saag with makki roti.. it was so yummy can’t even explain in words. Perfect taste just similar to one you get in north Delhi and Punjab.
#food #winterspecial #northindian
Punjabi by heart is good option in Ahmedabad one mall food court to have good and hygienic punjabi food. Great space to have food, self service and prices are also pocket friendly
Must visit if you visiting Ahmedabad One mall
Such a nice tandoori platter of punjabi by heart .
I grab this plate on Saturday.
ya they take more time to serve but because of Saturday crowd I am ok with that .
A very good combination of kabab , paneer and potatoes barbecue .
Green chutney I like the most .
Really such a nice plate I love it.
Located at alpha one mall food court, this place serves the Punjabi food. I tried the combo meal of Garlic Naan and Dal Makhni with a subji. The food was very tasty. The Dal Makhni and Subji both were tasty. The Naan was cooked perfectly and had balanced flavor of garlic. This is a good place if you are looking for some good Punjabi food. 👌👍
Delicious authentic punjabi food!
I tried Dal Makhni and Kulcha platter.
The food was really tasty and is a must try for all the punjabi food lovers.
Great Place To eat In Aplha One food Court. Specially Chole Kulche And Punjabi Haryali Naan. Food Was Fresh and healthy. Price is quite high compared to Out side. But if you want to enjoy food the dont look at prices. just go ahead...!
DIL KHUSH KAR DITTA❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great food ; proper packaging ; tasty mutton kababs ; tasty veg Thali ; mutton biryani was awesome ; delivery took time, but the food was worth the wait ; finally the gulabjamun was so yummmmmmmyyyy and juicy. Loved it !
This one is in the food court of Ahmedabad one mall so ambience and all is not much to be thought about, only food is all I can talk about. The rating is based on the one platter I have tasted and every time I have the same one. Punjabi platter with 2 roti , 2 sabji , dal , rice and papad. It is extraordinarily yummy. They had this cheese butter masala and cholle on menu in platter yesterday and both were perfectly cooked and tasted heavenly. *highly recommended . And yes dal too was delicious. Looking forward to try there other dishes also.
Barbecue ! I just love it !
Tandoori platter it is, balanced taste and everything was just perfectly cooked not burnt or raw, I would appreciate more vegetables, they just had a piece of tomato and capsicum both my favourite and they took time to serve.
Well this place is quite impressive. A lot of options for north Indian food. Have tried their paneer tikka dry and trust me guys, it's a must try. The paneer pieces were very well cooked and they were soft too. They serve it with chutney and some salad. The quantity I felt was a little bit less in comparison to the price, but the taste justifies it completely. Will certainly pay a visit again soon.
One word to sum up the food here would be 'consistency'. I ordered the same dish thrice and it tasted exactly the same. Good food. Reasonably priced. Worth a try.
Anytime you can prefer their Cholle Bhature over any place in the city and Punjabi By Heart has two outlets in Vastrapur and this one at Alpha One sells like hot cakes. The chole is orange in colour which attracts you to it and it tasted pretty good too. Bhature was soft and not rubbery well fried and tasted great with the Cholle along with a spicy Aachar and cut vegetables. At 120 it is really worth the try and pocket friendly ofcourse. The order is ready in 10mins tops during busy days at the mall and is a self service outlet. Parathas also are very delicious out there and so are the sabjis which makes it a typical North Indian Cuisine covered Menu. Must try once for a memorable Punjabi food experience.
It's in the food court section. I ordered a dish of chhole bature. Nice staff. I Got my food served hot and quickly. Their food quantity is good enough to fulfill hunger or empty stomach. Chhole were tasty. I just think that chhole were little bit salty and they need to serve more fresh onions. Apart from that it was a delicious meal i had.
So what excited me to order a PLATTER was its price point 199/-. A mouth watering, tummy filler, value for money, very good taste.. the Lassi in earthen glass reminded me of by chandigarh days..
I am sure Punjabi by heart have won many hearts!!!
I eat veg on tuesdays.. therefore tried this place, and its a lottery, a must visit. :)
Located at alpha one mall food court.. If you want to have some good punjabi food at alpha one mall then try this place.. Punjabi by heart is restaurant located nearby to gurukul and they have this small outlet at alpha one mall..
Not talking much about ambience because shop is in food court so concept says that order your food, take it and enjoy it in big food court.. Talking about taste.. We ordered shahi thali and it includes two sabji, roti, dal rice, sweet, achar, papad.. Both sabji were good in taste and freshly made.. Overall it was nice combination of platter.. Rate of platter was far enough considering the quantity and place..
Omg! What great taste and that too at throw away prices! And this was my first ever eat out at the food court in the mall. A good outlet to have food when you are tired or hungry after all the long walking and shopping in the mall. It's just as good as it's other outlet. Loved the biryani! Smack on delicious! :) I don't like most other stalls but I never mind this one. Absolutely love thier food. somehow they have been able to maintain the standards during all my visits there. Love it.

Have been at this place for couple of times...they have good delicious food..their fix non veg thali not only touched the taste buds but also pampered the heart and soul..tasty butterchicken and egg cury with well steamed rice..the only let down was daal and small piece of gulab jamun...u can also try chicken tangadi which is nice and soft.
Only issue is u cant make a get to gether with friends as the size of restaurants is small and no sink /washroom is in place...so that make me reduce 1.5 points.
Being a regular visitor to the Food court at Alpha One, I have had their food a few times. I usually have the thali, which is about average. The rotis are quite rubbery, while the rice is under cooked. The dal makhani is good, though. The panneer preparation is below average. Another dish supposed to be their signature is makki di roti and sarson da saag, which is no good. Chole batura too is strictly average.
Excellent authentic punjabi food in Alphaone mall , can't afford to miss it , lovely kebabs , tikkas , tandoori stuffed parathas & dum biryanis ... Super awesomeness , Foodporn , just loved it ... Going back very soon , can't wait !
Small, cute sa restaurant with Amaaazzziiiingggg Food!!
Amazing would be an understatement for a non-veg lover like me.. :D
Had ordered Chicken Lollipop, Chicken 65 & Veg Galaoti Kebabs for Starters. And the starters took my heart away! ♥♡♥ Wat a start to an awesome meal..
Then for the Main course we had Chicken Kali mirch & Veg Handi. Both the sabzis were amazing. Chicken Kali mirch was just authentic!
And we finished it of with Chicken Dum Biryani.. ♥♥♥ Must must try i would say!!

Frequent visitor of this outlet and this outlet never disappoints me in terms of food. The taste and quality of food remains same at every time. Love to visit again and again. Though food was not that great but it can easily fill up your tummy!!! Visit it again soon!!

After the movie, my Family wanted to have some Spicy Punjabi Food and we tried food here. This place is really good. We ordered Chhole-Bhature, a Platter and Hyderabadi Biryani....!! Every dishes were really fine...!! Especially Hyderabadi Biryani was amazing...!! We enjoyed every bite here...!! I always see the Hygiene Factor and this place was quite clean...!! This is a MUST place in Alpha One Mall Food Court.
Tried tandoori kebab platter here n it was too good! They have display of many dishes they make n they were looking really good. Yet to try many items. Chhole bhature is next!
Alpha one mall is my favourite hang out place. A visit to the mall on a sunday is a must. This time we tried our hands on 'Punjabi by heart' at the food court. And surprisingly, the food turned out to be amazing.
I had ordered the punjabi thali. Total value for money. Two huge tandoori rotis, paneer and veggie subji.. Dal fry, jeera rice, salad, papad, achar and more. Just for 169.
The service was a bit slow as it was a sunday. But the food was quite good and tummy filling.
Will visit again for sure !!
I love pizzas & Punjabi food
M fond of it.the food at "Punjabi by heart "is really very good & it satisfy my taste bud very perfectly
The food items which I had tried was very good.it really gave Punjabi touch
i tried kebabs it was awesome bt the quantity disappointed me , cholle bature was also good overall its a good stall at the food court of alpha mall
Decent above average food. What attracted me most was the food quantity. These guys are very generous with the quantity. I ordered the regular makki di roti and sarson da saag; and I wasn't disappointed with either quantity or quality. The food tasted good. For a mere 190 bucks I was served two huge makki di rotis and a bowl full of sarso da saag which was tasty. This place is a serious competition to other outlets serving budget punjabi food. There have been my other personal favourites in this segment but after my first experience, I am certainly tempted to try other dishes here. Also, you will be served pretty faster than other outlets which serve such budget punjabi food. Overall experience was good.
Regular person for Punjabi by heart.. Love the things they serves.. The food quality is too good.. Whenever you find yourself very hungry and need to full up.. Try this one..
A quick working lunch at the mall and the place was serving with all its heart!!
The quick short meal was worth the price and quantity was sufficient.
We had ordered a paratha paneer bhurji combo and naan-chole combo meal. Both were equally tasty. However the smoky flavour in the bhurji gave it an interesting twist.
Landed here more by chance than by choice. Have been badly craving for a good Humus for around 7 months now but somehow it is eluding me. The other day had set my mind for a lunch at the newly renovated Souq (Vijay Crossroads) but my little girl insisted on giving a little more business to the AlphaOne Fun Zone people which meant that it was 15:15 by the time she was done. Checked on Zomato that Souq stops lunch service at 15:00 and all the other nearby restaurants in my bookmarks list followed the same suit. With no other decent option left decided to head over to the food court (Which in my opinion is a blasphemy for any genuine food lover, especially when they get to visit the city so infrequently and that too for such a short period of time!) and was delighted to see Humus & Pita on Cafe Souq's menu! But as my luck would have it I need to wait for a few more days before I can satiate my humus craving as that was the only item that was out of stock on their menu that day! But actually after reading Priyanka's review I am glad they didn't have it! Anywho, pacing around the food court and without any decent option to pick from (god I hate food courts!) brought me to the next door neighbor of Cafe Souq - Punjabi by Heart.

(Ekdum Serious vaale, "mujhe story nahi sun ni", "worth it or not" types readers begin reading from here! Upar sirf time pass hai!)
The menu at Punjabi by Heart is quite extensive. They focus more on combos and mini meals for the executives or shoppers who intend to grab a quick bite on the go. Scanning through their menu I was pleasantly surprised to see Sindhi Kadhi & Rice in the combos list because it has been years since I had one and I have been trying to find it in Ahmedabad. But that really was my lucky because surprise surprise, again that had everything except for Sindhi Kadhi. Sparing myself from any further heartbreak I ordered the good old fashioned - any Punjabi's lifeblood - and the ultimate comfort food Rajma Chawal. You simply can't go wrong with that. (Abhi agar yeh bhi nahi hota na available toh I would have simply started to scream in the middle of the food court!)
The order arrived in a couple of minutes and it was what one would expect - a no frill, no nonsense - bas tuut pado - Rajma Chawal platter. The platter came with a generous (by my standards) portion of steamed rice and the two slots of combo plate were brimming with laal chataakedaar Rajma. The other three slots were filled by two fried green chillies, a few onions and a dollop of pickle - none of which I care about so it didn't matter!
The Rajma was good. Wasn't too spicy, had a nice flavor of garlic and just the right amount of tamaatari-ness! Now for me the amount of tomato in the Rajma masala is the game changer, the make-it or break-it factor! If the Rajma isn't tamaatari then it is super boring and I am so happy that this one didn't disappoint me on that front. Overall I was satisfied because I got what I paid for. A simple yet clean and tasty punjabi meal. (Kahaan Humus, kahaan rajma! *rolls eyes*)
The service is nice. The order taking was swift and the delivery was quick as well. No problems there.
Ambiance doesn't matter because it is a food court kiosk and you're sitting on the shared space.
I would recommend this place if you're in the mall and are too tired to go any place else for a meal or are just looking to power yourself back up in between a shopping or gaming spree. Decent ghar-ka-khana types food awaits you and I am gonna check them out atleast once again to see if I finally get that Sindhi Kadhi.

Having had no lunch till around 3.30 pm, I was super hungry in mood for some Gujju/Punjabi lunch platter. Accompanied by friends, we reached AlphaOne food court considering the series of eateries under one roof. Browsing the line of eateries 'my hunger pangs gave in to' (read: my heart went out to) Punjabi by heart (with the red heart graphic)! And it was worthwhile.
Cheese chilli paratha defined taste. It was delicious, crispy and as perfect as could be. I was looking for a proper meal but the fixed lunch menu seemed kind of too much food, though I was hungry. And thats when value meal combos help. And thats what makes Punjabi by Heart menu tactful. It has options for varied situations from individual sabji options to full fixed lunch to value meals. I went by dal tadka jeera rice. The tempering (tadka) had prominent aroma and taste of cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida and red chillies. The wholesome meal of tadka dal served with piping hot jeera rice made my afternoon.
The value meal was certainly value for money too. The quantity was decent and can almost be shared by two.
A great place for a regular outside meal. Its a good place to drop by during lunch break at work and of course while shopping because of its location!
I am a regular patron at punjabi by heart and Why not? The food is simply irresistable! Me and my mom's personal favourite is tangri kebab there ! And yes, from the paratha, to the fish amritsari- it will totally rewind, remind and take you to Punjab! What i like more about this place is the ambience! Nice clean, simple and cool- with good music all the time- what more do you need ? Ah yes- the hospitality! This department is so damn good here! They make you feel like Home and Ultimately- m a regular patron there and each time the greet me saying 'hello madam' with this pleasant smile !now, everybody likes a place Where People Are friendly and nice to you ! Overall, food, ambience, hospitalityand price - EVERYTHING IS JUST RIGHT! JUST PERFECT! its a lovely place and i make sure i come visit atleast once in A week! Must come too for all! They Make you 'PUNJABI' by heart! :)
Punjabi by heart is my favorite place in Ahmedabad to eat parathas. In general I love the alpha one food court, it has great variety and good food to offer. It's always tempting to combine a movie with a meal there or to rest and have a good conversation after hours of window (or real) shopping.
Coming back to Punjabi by heart: so it's called that cause the owner is a south indian uncle, although with the kind of food he makes he should be made an honorary Punjabi. I've had the aloo, mix-veg and paneer parathas here and highly recommend all of them; the mix-veg is my favorite.
So why am I raving about these particular ones? Well the stuffing is delicious, the skin is crisp and and well cooked so that it doesn't taste of aata at all.
I've also tried the the paneer makhani and rajma masala fry here and they're yummy.
With the combination of great taste and easy on your pocket pricing it's definitely not worth missing out on.
