Before getting here, I had enough critical reviews to not to go here.
But still, I gave a try, and it turned out totally opposite.
I had ordered Bengan Bhartha and Bajri Rotla( Roti). The taste was amazing giving true essence of Kathiavadi food.
The rates are nominal.
The place is situated in vicinity of Navkar Institute for CA and the Vijay cross roads, and is popular among students
If you dont have time to go to highway and want to have Dhaba type food in the city, then add this place in your list.
Outdoor seating is also available.
I suggest not to try thali here...
Kathiyawad and its taste. This place just defines the oirginal taste of kathiywad. The mouth watering food has it all. One has to visit the place to savour the orignal authentic taste of the gujarat and its culture
Nice food with nice service & price..i tried dal bati. Good food and the quantity also sufficient for one person..neet n clean..must try once.
Only if u like Daaba style food.

Kathiyawadi and punjabi is just simply awesome.
A bit oily and unhygienic. Typical street food.
Cheese butter masala and tawa roti is my all time fav.
I had the opportunity to try its food as we were returning from a trip, and it was late, and this was the only place open on our way home. The prices are all low, but sadly the quality suffers somewhat as well. From the kathiyawadi menu we ordered the Lasaniya bataka, which was good, but the Punjabi food wasnt so good. It was very oily and the taste was a bit different, probably they used same spices for both so......i dont know. Try Kathiawadi only, when u have a craving for "gaon ka khana" and dont wanna go to a dhaba on the highway.
Both the Thalis - Punjabi & Gujarati, they serve are tasty. I don't like their Sev Tamatar at all. You can also have Rajasthani dishes like Daal Bati & Churma and other Kathiawadi Dishes. Few of you might find quantity to be little less for a person but price wise they are decent Value for Money. Palak Paneer and other Paneer items are very tasty.

Since Diwali started everyone had gone to their hometown including my PG maharaj and had to arrange food to eat for all three times.
Was roaming around but all the places were full or closed and hence googled for some nearby places and vola this particular place was the closest one to my work place.
Ordered Paratha sabji which is basically 2 huge paratha served with Alu ki baji.

Pros- location is great, ample amount of space within the restaurant, hot food served, extremely budget friendly vegetarian restaurant, taste is okay I won't dare to ask more taste in 70 Rs too 😉, cashier is very sweet man he gave me a feeling of being home ( thank you Kaka)
Cons- no parking space, urgent need to change the interior design too old, nearly a self-help place (not self service they would pay attention and serve you well)

Okie-Dokie food. If you want budget thali then visit this hotel. Here I found something new. They serve big fried puri with aloo sabji and called it as Aloo Parotha :-D
This place has always been providing good food. Makes you feel like home. Simple less oily and less spicy food available. You can also get kathyawadi food.
