Best South Indian food I test In Ahmedabad, it is a very good restaurant for average price of all food items I test all dosa, vada idli this is the best hygienic food ever and the packing of food is very good.
Its best place for south Indian food. Loved its food. Tried dosa platter and uttapam platter which were really very tasty. Its daal and different chatnis are awesome.
Southern Grub serves different varieties of dosas and uttpam. Mainly they have good options in dosas. We tried their sp. Indian bhaji dosa, masoor masala dosa, rava masala dosa and plain dosa. All of them tastes good and were crispy. Overall good experience.
Good Food by Southern Grub. Food Quality was good . If you want good southern food then please order southern grub food. I ordered and I am satisfied.

The quality of food, service and delivery were all great. The only thing that was fell short was the size of the Vadas...they were smaller than I expected them to be for the price. Apart from that, it was a very decent experience.

We have ordered Cheese Mysore Masala Dosa, Cheese Corn Dosa and Cheese Spring Dosa...
All three were good and delicious in taste and also presentation was good...

Nice place. Decent decor and minimal seating. The service is adequate and the orders arrived quick. Not too shabby. Loved their medu wada. A nice outlet for southern food. Loved it.
'Southern Grub'- the name speaks itself that this place is for South Indian cuisine.
This place is very near to my house, but have visited only twice. I visited this place three years ago first time, and after three years visited tonight only for takeaway.
My order was Cheese Chilly Uttappam. The order was ready in approx 10 mins, so the service very fast and the person who was taking the order was also a courteous. They have an open space waiting area, have provided comfortable chairs for it. Both the times I had takeaway, so never had a chance to look at their ambience from inside. From outside it looks smaller.
Now coming on to food, the uttappam wasn't anything special, it was just okay. Though the 'coconut chutney' was good in taste.
Not a 'wow' place.
Nice taste of food really quality food but space is conjusted with an average interior. Service is also slower if we compare it with rates.

This place is near raheja cinema ,on the main road , I was to a short trip to Ahmedabad , I was at my jijaji place , and every one was tired , and no sis did not wanted to cook food at home , so we planned to go to this place for some south Indian food.
Well as I saw the big frontage ,it was Well made , but when I entered the place I was bit disappointed with the ambiance ,don't get me wrong ,with the kind of frontage it had, they could have done a great justice to the interiors ,I was like I hope to get a good south Indian food.
We were some 9 of us, so they don't have family sitting area, we were accommodated in two separate tables ,no complains ,not all have huge areas for hotels .
We ordered , pizza,sada dosa,cheese sada dosa,raw masala dosa, spring dosa,masala idli,veg biryani.,onion uttapa,maysore masala dosa.
To my surprise ,it was a really good lunch .I was not sure ,but I was wrong , it was really good, they had served chutni of three different kind, and it was cold chutni , which when you have it with the hot sambhar it made a good combination, ya I was bit disappointed with the sambhar quality, it was thick not like we get in Mumbai .
Onion uttapa, cheese sada,and sada dosa plus yes the biryani was really good. To masala idli it was stand alone winner of the day, just loved the way the tomato gravy was mixed with idli, it got well mixed with hot idli.superb combinations.
Well I did not like much of a spring dosa, as the cabbage was not mixes well, it tasted raw swhe you ate,they could have cooked well and mixed with the dosa .
But over all it was really nice food, pizza were decent , if you are at this place and you are not going to regret any thing much about the good.
I really loved the food and it was a great a lunch.
Had an awesome evening . a very good service and a very good service too . enjoyed eating here . would recommend to many others and will surely come again
i dont know why ppl r giving so low rating yo this joint. with the kind of service, food quality and quantity, i feel this place has value. well its not always high end and post restaurants like sankalp which u can vouch for, after all, even sankalp was a normal and upcoming food joint one day...and today it has become a giant. anyways, my ratings:

"Southern Grub" - My first visit to this place just because my dear friend suggested. And i must say no regret at all. Ordered Cheese Masala Dosa with Chocolate Milk shake with ice cream. I know weird Combination ;) But as i am addicted to it i have to ;) But both were just awesome.. But the service needs to be improved as it was very slow and not attentive too :(Β Do visit :)

I am pleased to share this review today. We the family of five had our South Indian super lunch today. We ordered Uttapam Platter, Paper Masala Dosa, Pori Idli, Vada, Rava Masala Dosa and Chhas. The food was authentic, well prepared and decently served. The staff was courteous and the ambiance was simple, clean and neat. The total bill was very much reasonable in consideration of portion size, the quality, taste and overall service. Southern Grub has certainly made it my list of recommendations!
Better dining option for routine south dishes . The food we enjoyed at the time of dinner was really DELICIOUS and conveniently located.

Good South Indian food near satadhar, sola road
Itβs a good place to eat for south indian food lovers. Specially i like the Rava dosa the most. And their serving and service both are outstanding and for this i would have gave 10/10. One serving person will stand near you and help you for anything you want. I usually go there whenever i want to eat dosa.
