Authentic Sindhi food with a lot of options.
Good staff and the owner is a great person. They would make sure that your experience is the best of all.
Try at least once :)

Enjoyed the food and the quality was awesome.
Good location. And absolutely being Sindhi I love the variety of Sindhi food. So I would give 5 star.
Thank you.
food was good, but wasn't on time.
I have tasted Dal Pakwan at different places in town, but on my friend’s recommendation i have ordered it from Hojamalo. And it turned out to be the best ever for me. Taste is good, the crispness of pakwan is appreciated.
The owner himself takes pride in his cuisine. Authentic taste and great ambience. Dal pakwan & bread roll are a must try.
Good range of sweets too, try nankhatai..
Serves authentic Sindhi and Punjabi food. I ordered Sindhi thali. It was just perfect 😍 ❤️. Service is bit slow. Food is amazing 😋😋😋. Also try sev barfi
The food was amazing but they should work on their ambience. Perfect place for a Sindhi and Punjabi food lover. They have perfect Sindhi touch in their food.
I went to eat the Sindhi thaali here with a friend, and loved their ambience, kadhi, pakodas and the malai sev barfi ☺️ the phulkas were soft and fresh and the papad ki churi was crisp, hot and fresh. It was a good sneak peek into the Sindhi cuisine. Also loved the history behind the name Ho Jamalo ☺️
Never underestimate the power of good sindhi food. There koki, bea potato, besan ki tikki can make you drool. Prices are on a bit higher side but when it comes to taste you will never get dissapointed.
Amazing food..reminded me of my childhood memories. Sev mithai and papad ki sabzi is a must try! Thanx all for serving us with all love..gonna visit this place for sure again ...😊😊😊😊😊
Excellent quality of food. I would rate this as the best Sindhi restaurant food in the state. Pappad ki Subzi, Sindhi kadi and rice were just excellent. Sev Burfi is to die for!!
Wow have you ever thought of sindhi cuisine restaurant , yes it's in ahmedabad and they serve some awesome sindhi food & fresh too.
Gujjus are little rigid in exploring other regions cuisine as they are damn particular about d taste but this sindhi cuisine will surely make your day.
The only parameter which they need to improve is service it's horrible & cleanliness
For food it's a must visit place.
Place for authentic Sindhi food. Also interiors have Sindhi touch.
Food is tasty.
Their plain kulcha is must try.
Also one must try kokis (koki is a Sindhi roti).
It’s not much crowded but a place u must go.
Staff if polite.
I want to give it a 4.5. one of the yummiest food I have eaten in Ahmedabad. They take home style cooking to another level, I definitely did not find a single fault in any of the preparations.
If you want to try something different den dis is the place which serves Sindhi cuisine..I extremely loved der sweet which is combo of sev and mava n thali was yummy every dish is extraordinary and loved it..ambience is ok..but it doesn't matter if food is that good :)
Koki, Dal Mung, Sindhi Kutti, Dal Pakwan, sindhi seyalmani almost all the Sindhi household specialities were a part of the menu. Hojamalo is also a Sindhi word which means celebration. The food is very good. Obviously not as good as ghar ka khana, which is never possible in restaurants but yes this is the next option for ghar ke jaisa khana for me.
The place is just fine
To some its past a bed time
For us its a Showtime
Ordered 2 items for a dinner time
1. Sindhi Bhajiya - It was crispy and tasty
2. Koki Pyaj Ki - It was yummy
Glad to have it and explore this #SindhiCuisine
Will have to visit Time to Time

Rest of the interesting story is in the pics...
P.S.: As Abhishek Shethia said it was all cooked by Aunties
Bow down to those Aunties for making our dinner a lip smacking one.

I’d been here atleast three times and ordered twice. Bring a Sindhi I found food a bit less spicy, but obviously as the owner said me once that everyone would not be able to eat the over spicy food that Sindhis eat. So, everything was good as far.
I’ve tried almost all the items. But yeah I didn’t have good experience when I ordered the food online, as one item was not delivered and on asking about it they said that I can collect it whenever I pass from their restaurant. Which I seriously found strange and rude.
Else while dinning in experience was good.
orderd punjabi fix platter - good spicy food.
Delicious Knife ( Pillai )

A Sindhi cuisine restaurant, I like Dal pakwan it's my 4 or 5 time visit to have dal pakwan this time order Maggie bhajiya it's takes almost 45 min to serve
Please never ever order Maggie bhajiya the worst Maggie bhajiya I ever had...
But the 4 * goes to Dal pakwan.. Delicious
Nice ambiance with Sindhi song..
As a first timer, our experience with Sindhi cuisine turned out pretty good. The staff is courteous and when we expressed our inability to understand the menu or it's contents, they were very helpful and gave the right choices not as per the cost tag but our tastes. Service is fast and the ambience is good. Sindhi songs was being played at low volume and it was melodious. Overall a good evening spent and enjoyed the food.
Excellent place to hang out..with family and friends. This is the only place in Gujarat which serves sindhi food. Btw im not a fan of sindhi food but wanted to try something unique and different. And i must say .. they serve excellent food.. they have punjabi.. and surprisingly they have a small desi chinese menu too.
Service: 4/5
Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
What you should have: Dal Pakwan, Unlimited sindhi thali, Sindhi Paneer Bhurji, Sindhi Fulkas
I have tasted the dish called Dal Pakwaan from this place and that was delicious...
I loved it...
And the food was fresh enough and tasty...
One must try
So visited dis small cozy authentic sindhi food joint @hojamalocafe few days back.
Tried their authentic sindhi Thali. Very tasty. Ek dum ghar ka swad😋.
Deshi food lovers like me 🙈who chose ‘vaghareli rotli over pastas nd Dabeli over Burgers must visit this place. The owner takes care of kitchen personally. 👩Makes food fresh nd serves piping hot. Will not be disappoint for the taste for sure.

Ordered dal pakwan
It was delicious!!! The helping is quite generous
Have been to this place with friends and really loved it. Which forced me to go again with family and had great experience. We love dal pakwan and trust me this is the great place to have it. There are very rare places where u get great dal pakwan and this is best of them.
Good cosy place with good service.
Very nice food lively place with good service . The items were delicious and specially the sindhi and punjabi part of the menu . Basically a good place to take family.
This place is usually less crowded, they help you order. A Sindhi cuisine restaurant also serves delicious North Indian dishes. Papad ki sabji, koki and Amritsari chhola-kulcha are some of my fav dishes there. I never knew about brinjal pickle until I tasted it there!
Wide menu cover every taste and is fairly priced.
This place is very well maintained. Nice ambience. Sindhi food is their specialty. After having food there i became a huge fan of sindhi food. Service was top notch. Their food preparation and presentation is unique and interesting. Would love to visit again.
So, while we were wondering where to go for dinner, my mom remembered this authentic sindhi restaurant. Though she forgot the name, a quick Google search helped. Hojamalo is tucked away in the pakwan service lane and is easy to locate. The ambiance is calm but slightly dull. Thankfully the food isn't! We ordered the sai bhaaji combo for my kid which he loved, daal pakvan and beas (lotus stem) combo with fulka but they goofed up and gave me the lotus stem tikki instead. But what turned up was excellent too so no complaints. Food is neatly served and freshly cooked. Servers and service need to be upgraded though. The servers are slow in listening, understanding and processing an order. We had to ask four times for our glasses of water to be refilled until they did so. Overall nice and delicious sindhi cuisine. Fresh abd served piping hot to my delight. Btw, the quality of their fulkas is really good. If going with a child make sure you order one combo less as a child below 10 cannot finish an entire combo. Quantity of food in the combo is quite sufficient as well. So visit Hojamalo and enjoy some delectable sindhi cuisine!
I really wanted to try a completely new cuisine and thought why not sindhi!? Ordered the infamous Dal Pakwaan (which was good unless you love spicy oily pakwaans that they sell on the street), Sindhi Bhajiyas were served with bread ( pretty good, loved the green chutney), Bee ki Tikki ( the lotus stem fritters were really new to my palate but it was tasty, no doubt ), Seyal mani ( It's like roti in a flavourful gravy, more like the rotli nu shaak for gujjus ) and lastly Chatra Khicha ( It's a fryum made from rice flour, again really good )
Late Review....!!!
So been here on recommendation of my sister... Amazing place the ambience is just perfect, talking about the service it was also very fast within 10mins of our ordering we got the food we ordered for rose lassi, laccha parantha, Sindhi seyal manni taste was superb paranthas came with curd and mirchi which is good for a spicy food lover and talking about the price i think they are charging very minimal prices and according to the price the quality and quantity of food provided by them is fab and being a Sindhi if loved the food as it felt like ghar ka khanna to me, so i hope everyone else will also might like it.
Ambience :- 4/5
Taste :- 5/5
Quality :- 5/5
Quantity:- 5/5
Value for money :- 5/5
This review is for last sunday.Talking about the ambience-A decent restaurant with a mini story of what hojamalo name meant.Simple and relaxing atmosphere especially with the soothing background music.Talking about the food we ordered bajiya basket (dont know the exact menu name)_simply overwhelmed. The crispy sindhi bajiyas simply made us kept on eating those on and on forever.(5/5)
2)We ordered Dal pakwan-good quantity-serves 2.Although i had never tried sindhi food. This was my first time and i just loved it.Now i would visit this restaurant more often to try out new sindhi food varieties.(4/5)
3)Paneer Tandoor and Paneer burji rolls.I liked burji rolls more. Good ones.(3/5)
4)Service-Needs improvisation.
Towards the end,we also got to experience sindhi sweets counter placed within hojamalo and it was yummy as well. (4/5)
Please do visit this restaurant for once, becoz its easy to find pizzas and pastas around the corner,bt very few authentic sindhi food joints.
Note- They have revised their menu with new dishes.
Starting with the decor, its quite simple, they have tried to give it a different touch by installing some art pieces like planes and climbing rope but it doesn't go with the concept of resto,
On the wall, story of ho jamalo is depicted.. it looks more of like a shop.
Coming to food,
Pani Puri- not that interesting for my taste, I have had better,
They don't serve tamrand chutney, nd Pani was also on a milder side,
Dal_Pakwan- Dal was not hot, taste was an average,
Sindhi koki- it was too dry, even company of dahi couldn't help to kill dryness, taste wise an average..
Service- the man at service didn't know about dishes he was serving, and service was slow..
I think this place is either overrated or management has not maintained quality.
Loved the quality of food plus all food tastes home made. Best sindhi food restaurant i found here at Ahmedabad.. khicha and koki taste good. Aloo paratha is also good. Loved the food here.
Amazing for food lovers
Many items and different varieties to try
Staff is freindly and ambience is also good
They hiped the price now which is not worth, their items were reasonable to old price or else should increase quantity.
Order = dal pakwan & Puva
Review = Hello,
I love this plc b.Coz I m Sindhi n I enjoy the Sindhi food last Sunday I visit thr. I love all dishes which I ordered.. Nice dining price is quite fn. 🍴jai jhulelal 🙏
Have ordered from this place around a month back. Ordered Aloo Martha, Sindhi bhajiya and complimentary chabi tukda. Delivery was quick and food arrived hot and fresh.
Coming to food Sindhi bhajiya were crispy on outside but most on inside and the 2 chutney and pav served with bhajiya was great and really delicious. The aloo paratha was big and good stuffing served with dahi and papad will be enough for a person. The spices were perfect and was nice to have with bhajiya. Coming to sweet as it was complimentary the shabi tukda was deep fried and dipped in sugar syrup and served with rabri and dry fruits and top what else to complete a meal.
Good. But not very good. Staff was too confused. Interior good. Serving nice. Lesser crowd than expected. Food tasted good but not satisfying enough.
I visited this place looking at very different menu which no other restaurants offers.
Pros
Food taste - very good and authentic
Food feel and quality: very good
Price: very reasonable
Cons:
Ambience: not so good
Cleanliness: overall restaurant was very dirty starting from floor to ceiling, sitting area, wash area every part you can see a visible dirt.
went to this place once tried pani puri and bread roll .. both were average. a decent pocket friendly place for authentic sindhi food and more of snacks based menu.

Tried Sindhi food for the first time here. Ordered dal pakwan and bori (kooti). Pakwan (crispy fried flat bread) was perfectly crispy and dal was cooked to perfection. It tasted sour (more of online flavour). I had customised the Bori (to make it in ghee). Topped with grated dry fruits, it tasted heavenly. One could not believe the dish is made with rotis. Overall a pocket friendly filling meal for 2.
Ordered Sindhi Bhajiya for my entire team and they loved it. Test was very good, packaging of the parcel was nice and delivery was on time! :)
I have visited this place today..... Its a nice theme restaurant and Shahi Tukda sweet is a must try item there..... Good place nice combination of dishes.
Ordered today for home delivery. I placed ordered for allowing paratha and Sindhi bhajiya. As a Zomato treats member got complimentary shahi tukda. THE FOOD arrived on time and was really good. First talking about Sindhi bhajiya there were crispy on outside and soft in inside and served with pav and 2 chutneys. Both chutney were yummy and pakros were not heavy or oily even when they were fried.
Coming to Aloo Paratha they were nice with good stuffing and big size, The curd was also lovely just like homemade curd and a papad on the side with paratha.lastly there was shahi tukda crispy deep fried bread dipped in sugar syrup and served with rabri and dry fruit what else you want to finish.
All in all a great and pocket friendly place with some of the best dishes.
Went there for the first time after discovering the reviews and photos on zomato,
A very cool 😎 place for hangout they decorate the walls very well with the story of hojamalo interior was eye catchy!!
we are just two people so we ordered only stuffed paratha because they serves two big parathas in one order we didn't order any main course after that & directly switch to the desserts, sahi tukda and gulab jamun both served with rabadu and it tasty and very fresh👌🏻
A good experience surely want to try their dal pakvan someday!!!! ☺️
Many of my workmates are sindhi, and I used share tiffin with them at office. Since long I am big fan of Sindhi koki. We ordered pyaaz ki koki, mung daal mashup and buttermilk. Koki was amazing feel like prepared at home, and daal mung mashup was delicious, little spicy and by adding little masala and lemon it tastes amazing. Many of their dishes are yet to try.
Been to Hojamalo last week! The place is very well managed & setup! This place, well known for Sindhi Food, and ofcourse I tried the Sindhi Hot Pot!
The food presentation was fantastic, and the taste too! Although, this was my first try at any Sindhi dish, I'll need to find out if this gets better anywhere else.
Overall, a great experience at Hojamalo! Kudos.
Do visit if you wanna get away from the regular Punjabi cuisines..! Worth a try
then you’re in for a disappointment. But you’ll find all the chaat variants and. the fritters like sanna pakoda and koki and chole samosa and what not!. had gone there at dinner time and the menu was quite café=-ish, given our diets. we knew we won’t be done with just 2 or 3 dishes. And we said to ourselves,
It's different from last time visit
The old enterance and cash counter is MUCH BETTER
Even old MANUE also better
New one is GOOD with new items
But you have to put that old version
I order pkoda, dahi papd tikki, besan gataa,
And yes the LASSI my favourite, all are testy and very good .m love to visit again
I think "Hojamalo" is the only Sindhi restaurant in the city, as it serves the Sindhi food, it's totally new experience for me, we went there with high expectations and it's totally worth it,
Service, food, taste, quality everything is great, they should improve on the quantity,
Amazing and tasty food, did Not know that sindhi food can be this tasty, good restaurant, facility of parking and washroom available. Apart from the whole menu you also buy snacks here, different counters for sweets. I think sindhi people would absolutely love to eat here, and it's not at all expensive.
Real authentic Sindhi Panjabi food. I was tired to eat same taste of panjabi but here taste is so good & real.
I tried authentic panjabi in Dubai & now here. Very good.
Even its Name having a history. Read story there in restaurant.
Few days back, i have visited Hojmalo Sindhi Restaurant in Ahmedabad. Food quality excellent, good enough quantity & pocket friendly price. Try authentic sindhi food here..
What a delicious food. Must try. Different varieties of food. Good serving presentation. Pure Sindhi food taste. Nice ambience. Can come with family. Parking facility is available. Will visit again. Thanks and Regards.
Limited but brilliant Sindhi items on the menu. Fast service. Excellent value for money.
To say in short this is a place worth for the money. Though small taste of the food is real awesome... These are some small snaps in the restaurant that gives a good ambience... Decent family restaurant...
Great place to have sindhi food. Absolutely tasty.
Great food taste and quality, they offer 10% discount on FB check in, sindhi people don't miss this place,
They also started serving dal chawal,
Was in search since long for a place serving good Dal Pakwan in Ahmedabad. Being a sindhi specialist this place had to be the one. Went to the place only and only to check out it's Dal pakwan and it was surely perfect. A small outlet located on the S G Highway service Road, the outlet is surely designed well. The ambience is really soft and well decorated. The walls narrate the story behind the name "Hojamalo". While the menu is really limited, the rates seems to be well managed. The quantity served, just meets the rate charged. Tried the famous Dal Pakwan and it was surely yummy. One of the most perfect taste you will find in Ahmedabad.
Unique place. Traditional Sindhi food. Good service and good quality food. Must try dal pakwan. Tried 3 different items from the menu all were awesome. I will definitely visit again and try all awesome different items from the menu.
I can't explain about Hajomolo food dishs!!! I become foody!!! Nice singhi Restaurant !!! With history of hoamolo struggled!! Presentation in side the restaurant is nice.. All walls are theme base!!! Menu card with lots of yummy dishes, but..... Sorry so say service is too slow.... By the way SUPER SE UPPER...
They’ve served typically traditional sindhi food which is hardly available anywhere in Ahmedabad!! The ultimate experience of sindhi food along with traditional Sindhi music..!
If your heart craves for something new then this is the must try option!! 👌🏼👍🏻
Nice place to be and good sindhi food available. Liked the experience.
With Rutik Seth. This place has nice vegetarian Sindhi food dishes with limited but reasonable options. The prices are decent enough and one can satiate the belly with little money.
Their speciality is Sindhi Cusine. If good for those who like to try different for every time. Seyal Mani is good n Spicy. Dessert are different and too much sugary sinful esp. Shahi tukda
