Finally explored the Ronak Fry restaurant after listening the name from many of my friends. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala, Mutton Bhuna Masala and Chicken Tandoori. The taste and the masala was the best. Not less not more. We got what we were expecting.
Taste is very fantastic specially Bheja Kala Mari Suitable for Family Dining. Service is also very nice and above all cleanliness is maintained

A must visit place for everyone looking for great non veg food in Ahmedabad that too on a budget.
The quality of food offered for the price is absolutely amazing.
We had tandoori chicken half which was priced at just ₹100 which is hard to find anywhere else in ahmedabad and the taste was amazing too. The marination and grill was just perfect.
Although sitting could be a little bit of a problem but I would totally let that go for the amazing food I got here. Definitely one of the tastiest tandoori chicken I’ve had.
Would love to visit to try out other dishes 😀

The place doesnt have plenty of space. It gets extremely congested during peak hours. Its best for a group of friends and I won't recommend if you are visiting with family. They do have a seperate family room as well though if you really wish to visit.
Things we tried-
Tandoori Chicken: The food is amazing. I would highly recommend this dish and it's probably one of the best Tandoori chicken I have ever tried. They just don't provide green chutney with it and that's the only drawback. 4.5/5
Butter chicken: This was also good. Not the best butter chicken ever but pretty good. If you are a die hard butter chicken fan, then you might find it okayish but if you are a first timer, you might like it. 3.5/5
Chicken Masala: One of the waiters recommended to us and I am glad he did! This was much better than the butter chicken. It just had the right kind of spices and was perfect in taste. Enjoyed it with chappati and sliced onions! 5/5
Service was fast and the order was served to us instantly. Much quicker than we had anticipated. 5/5
It's very very economical. A couple of my group mates were from Bangalore and they almost fainted by knowing how cheap it was with no compromise on the quality! 5/5

A meat lover paradise. Best in Ahmedabad if you love Tawa delicacies. Signature dish had to be the mutton bhuna. Perfectly blend of spices and mutton. Tastes simply delicious. A must have with other signature dishes like tandoori chicken, brain masala, and kaleji gurda fry. A meat carnivores delight yes 1 point deducted for hygiene and service but who cares if the food is that drooling and scrumptious. A must visit at least once if you are a first timer
Visited this place after 7 long years and the food taste was exactly what it was earlier. For all the harcore nonveg lovers this is the best Tawa place in Ahmedabad. The Chicken Tandoori which the serve is till date the best, the marination is jusy anazing and they grill till perfection. On the Tava all there mutton items are hit eapecially the chap and the bheja. The chicken tawa items are not that great. The butter chapati is literally drenched in butter. Do end your meal with a khuchdi. It would surely leave u mesmarised. The ambience is not at all great but the food compensates for everything . This is a must visit place for all nonveg fans
Best place to have tawa food..been going to this place since 1999 at that time it was on a foothpath..now all the brothers have seperated..but the taste is still the same..must try Gurda ,bhaji ghost, chicken fry , tandoori and bheja each and everything on the menu is AMAZING...
I always go here for bhuna mutton, taste is just amazing, place is little congested but i liked the food here.
Tandoori chicken is not that good as I feel it contain a lot red color than required.

The chicken tandoori served here is delicious. It is one of the best tandoori I've tried in Ahmedabad. It's perfectly cooked and it's juicy as well. Its a bit on the spicier side but that adds to it.. The other dishes are also good. Overall a good place. Not a very nice idea to sit there ad eat. But anyways u can parcel the food there..
Nice place! Easy to locate this. Have been here quite a lot of times and have tried almost everything so the only thing i loove about this place is its tandoori. Damnn its yummy! Other than that from my point of view tawa/gravy items are not that good. They also serve chicken khichdi which i have never tasted before and trust me i saw many people coming at this place for its tandoori and the khichdi only so you can try that as well. For me, am only rating this 4 coz of the tandoori but still its a nice place to visit, the ambience is not very good but also not too bad its okay
One of the best place to have butter chicken. Perfect balance of flavour and taste. I eat chicken only in non veg food so I haven't tried their mutton or fish dishes but their butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are the best at non expensive price. so i mostly choose this place only to have gravy chicken.

I have been to almost all tawas in the city, be it in Bhattiyaar gali, Juhapura, Dariyapur, Kalupur, Gomtipur, Shahpur etc. But this one tops the list for my personal favorite tawa in Ahmedabad.
Nosh farmaye :
1.Chaap fry - Bhari bhari chaapey, wah ! Tender as always, succulent, aroma fantastic, meat just slides off the bone with the roti. Behetareen.
2.Kheema - Dardara haath ka kuta hua, not machine ka, mind you.This is my personal favorite kheema in the city on any tawa, it slides down your throat like hot a hot knife through butter. Lajawaab
3.Bhuna - Seared little devils. Gosht k chotey chotey nanhe nazuk tukde aapke much mei jaate hi zayeke ka qeher macha dete hai, bas pucho mat mitro.
4.Bheja - Delectable, absolutely fattaaak. Kya bolu ab, this is a necessity if you gotta keep your grey matter sharp ;)
After eating this bheja, your bheja stops for a while.

5.Sosyo - The local chiller. The local bandit. Gali ka gunda, sab fancy soft drinks per bhaari ye pyaari bottle hamari.
Garam garm gosht pe thandi thandi sosyo ka hit aisa lagta hai jaise bas garam zameen par baarish ki thandi boondey.
The ambience is typically street, so don't expect much from the ambience.

We are bachelors. We had been searching for a cheap nonveg restaurant in Ahmedabad. After trying out some places we came to Ronak today. Half tandoori chicken in 80rs and half masala chicken in 60rs. A complete diet in just less than 200. Come here if you are craving for cheap and tasty chicken.
PS: Family people might not like this place as it's a normal road side dhaba but it's heaven for bachelors.

It is a small desi restaurant (local shaba style), do not expect ambience and esteemed treatment.
Best way to enjoy is takeaway, try Tawa and tandoori items.
I would have given 4 but for overall experience left it at 3.5.

It's Spicy, It's Testy, It's Fresh & More of This In Other Restaurants No Entry In Kitchen, In This Type of Restaurants you Enter Through Kitchen Because Always Tawa is Located outside Restaurants. So You Know What You Ordered, Where And How It Prepared. Same for Bhura At Dariyapur And Laziz & More At Juhapura Main Rd.

One of favourite place to have all Tawa items and Chicken Tandoori. My first preference is Chicken Tandoori, then Bheja in gravy, Bhuna, in gravy, chaap. If you are khichdi lover then keema khichdi and Bheja khichdi is to die for.
Ronak tawa fry and Farooq tawa fry are very near to each other having same menu with guys speaking n taking order in similar istyle. If u dont bother about sitting on a road side eatery than bindaas go for it. What u'll must eat is Tandoori chicken with coke or pepsi, Bombay chap n end with kheema khichdi. I guess number of ppl will have tandoori as it is really tasty. Dont worry about ur bill as ur friend has already paid it.

Table sharing tight place but its all for food not interior. Ronak is soriunded by 6-7 other outlet with same costume and the place is caught in high competition that you will found by their sign board.

Ronak fry center is our savior at Ahmedabad. As it is very difficult to get good Non veg food at Ahmedabad. We have been there for more than 30 times in group. We would prefer to have a girl in the group always so that we get to sit at family room which is present at upper floor where families are allowed to sit. Its more cleaner when compared to the tables which are in ground floor. About the food it has the best value for money food. Tandoori is so good, it makes u drip water from nose as it is so spicy. Chicken Tikka and liver fry with butter roti is my personal favourite. Also try chicken tikka rice it tastes so awesome that it will make you forget chicken biriyani. We had a good time eating there. You all must try.

Ronak fry near ellisbridge is the ultimate non veg foodie paradise, budget and all criteria gaya bhad mein, even though food is cheap. This place ought to be legendary on the maps of ahmedabad. This place is always crowded and a place for a bunch of rowdy friends to have there fill of meat, with luck after some legally purchased beer ; p
If you do visit, you should not miss there bheja fry and dish of kaleji which they cook to perfection. trust me reviews wont do these guys justice unless you go and eat there. This guys are experts in matters of non vwg and just a look at there kitchen cooking huge tumblers upon tumblers of mouth watering chicken and mutton is enough to do justice. And they are very reputed as well, so be assured that you wont be getting any cow or any other meat in your food. The paya dishes here have a unique taste and a must try as well. But it's the bheja fry that makes this place, wait for it.... legendary. The best thing about this place is, that there is zero oil in food and you can keep on gulping food till your heart is content or your stomach explodes. Yes, it is that good.

Now get back to the review of the place where I visited 3 to 4 times. The fry tandoori is awesome rest all gravy items are below average. Just visit to try the tandoori with double masala you will surely love it. The place is good. It gives you the real 'tawa vali' feeling. I would go for 3.5 ratings for this outlet.
Double spicy tandoori is out of the world
The husband once brought back Tandoori chicken from here when I asked him to pick it up from the Sarkhej Roja outlet. this location was more convenient and since its the original location, I thought it would be better.
He said the ambiance was similar to the New Ronak Fry place, but more crowded and buzzing.
I found that the tandoori chicken from here was more dry and more tough than the Sarkhej Roja outlet. This is surprising because I would expect turnover of chicken at this outlet to be faster.

She asked me to pick up a tandoori chicken from New Ronak Fry Restaurant in Juhapura for dinner before coming home. But since my last bit of work took me towards Ellis bridge, I was advised to try the original Ronak Fry.
Arriving there was an experience in itself. It was only my wifes assurance that their tandoori chicken was worth it, that kept me on the path.
Its a great place to take pictures, but not really a place to sit down and eat.
I successfully carried a tandoori chicken home and it was pretty decent. But wifes verdict was that the New Ronak Fry in Juhapura was juicier, spicier and tastier, so our future tandoori chickens in Ahmedabad will be sourced from Juhapura ONLY!
I've also heard that the dish to try here is supposed to be something called a butter chicken fry. It sounds dangerous for health, but worth trying.

RONAK FRY - dedicated to all those non veg lovers,Had known this place since childhood when we used to live there. We have grown up seeing RONAK family preparing the delicious stuff as they are our neighbour.
But let me analyze this Fry centre as a true devotee of Tounge and Stomach.
A very mediocre place by all standard, in a very crowded road of Jamalpur. They are trying to keep it very Hyginic but.......it do lack heavily.
Difficult to take family at such place but go for the love of food and taste as take the food away. For take away, you may not experience the same taste once the food becomes less hot.
U get all non veg items including the fry and the gravy one over here. Best of the lot is the Bheja fry and ROSH (mutton with gravy) also do try the Bhaji Gosht ( mutton cooked in palak with some gravy), Best of the fried item from Tava is DARBARI which is a combination of all the available items like gurda, bheja, chaanp, etc in a single plate.
You get one of the best TANDOORI CHICKEN (@ 180). Please go for the tanduri chicken with double masal. Very tasty. It sells like hot cake i that area and RONAK has mastery in it.
For rice lovers, you have Kheema khichdi (Awesome), Gurda Khichdi, etc as per your choice.
They have ready made chapati . Staff is very average.
SO for the taste of food, do give a visit, u may become addict to the taste as many i see there who are frequent flyer at ronak................

If it would have not been for the sheer love of non vegetarian food, I wouldn't be found anywhere close to Ronak. Definitely not a comfortable place for family (not even the family room; though my family was sport enough), its best to grab a take away from this place in case you are squeamish about the not so hygienic surroundings.
But the food...god bless the guy on the Tava!! It makes you forget about the place and people around you and takes you on a gastronomic adventure to meatland. Over two visits, I have tried the Bheja Fry, Chicken tandoori, Chap Fry, Boti Masala, Gurda Masala, Saaki Mutton, Palak Mutton and the Kheema Pulao. Each dish though assembled on the same tava, had a distinct delicious gravy. The bheja was a little heavy on oil, but the Kheema pulao was a perfect balance of meat and flavorsome rice. Saaki Mutton(I guess that's how its spelled) was a big bonny mutton piece in a light non spicy gravy. Gurda Masala had the tastiest gravy with hints of well fried onions and the flavor of the meat unmistakably stood out, two plates quickly mopped up with the thin rotis.
Clearly a place meant for no fuss non vegetarians delights; either eaten with the entire focus on food alone or there's always the take away option for the weak hearted.
Tava food is irreplaceable. Dirty place, rushed service, sweaty conditions but irreplaceable food. Go for it if you're a hardcore authentic non veg lover.
