A rooftop location with a lake-view and decent ambience overall.
Once I went to Maruti restaurant with friends and it's going to take time as it was weekend.
After waiting for some time, we decided to go to some other place but it was already late so we have look some place which is nearby. At that moment we noticed that on the same floor is another restaurant which is City lake.
We were hungry and tried so we thought let's give it a try. We went inside the restaurant and it was a rooftop location from where you can see a nice view of the vastrapur lake. As it was too cold we went inside the restaurant. The ambience is also good and there was not much crowd there hence not much noise either.
As we all were fed up we didn't see the menu and asked the waiter is there any fixed dinner in the menu? To which he replied, Yes! we do! We ordered the same. After some time, the dish came was served and without wasting a moment we attacked the meal.
Talking about taste, we found the taste was pretty good and the quantity was for an average individual. There was 2 sabji, 3 naans, 1 buttermilk, salad, jeera rice and daal.
Food and service are not excellent but definitely above average. Also, the price was affordable. A good pick for dinner with a group of friends & family!

Amazing experience.
Starting with ambience, it was very appreciative and beautiful as it is a rooftop facing Vastrapur Lake, this in itself adds a li'l something to the place.
Moving on to food, it was average. We had an unlimited dinner course which constituted of soup, starter, main course and dessert.
The starter in form of harabhara kabab were good but macroni with pineapple was disappointing.
Main course had paneer butter masala which was quite average and naan that were not too soft, but dal tadka and jeera rice were good.
Dessert was a choice of icecream which was satisfying.
Service was ok, not upto the mark.

It was Sunday evening. Bt almost empty restaurant.
We choose for unlimited dinner.
And its was good.
All food item, soup to desert was good.

It was a great eve for the party.. I took a risk for this restaurant as ratings were less in Zomato. But yeah it turned out to be a very good one. Starting with sweet corn soup nicely prepared with vegetables, in starter we ordered veg crispy seriously it was mouth watering and tempting too. Then main course with Butter Naan, Paneer Butter Masala very rich flavor and made me astonished. At last jeera rice & Daal Tadka it was so perfectly prepared this made me remind of Dhaba style flavor. A good experience overall. Open terrace restaurant with an amazing view of Vastrapur. I went there few day back and its become my one of favourite place nice ambience soft light .but there few things which have to change. Like service is bit slow . And according to the price food quantity is less its not up to the mark. Hope u guys make some work on it .

Food is average and the staff is a tad lazy as most of the time they are empty and over the weekends pretty crowded! The prices are low as compared to any other food joint which could be considered Pocket Friendly and the quantity is convincing ! Decent option for a quite lunch or an eventful dinner with people in huge numbers.

it was warm welcome by the waiter on the entry of restaurant on the 5th Floor. Amazed to see the view of Lake from the Terrace of restaurant. I have ordered for Noodles and Punjabi Dishes ( Paneer Tikka Masala,Veg Jaipuri, Dal Tadka). All items were delicious.
The rates are very low compared to the ambiance and food. I would like to visit again.
Best thing is you can spend your time with family on the terrace after your food.
Amazing authentic Punjabi food. It's been over a decade since I'm coming here and the taste is still pretty much the same. The place has been renovated and all but the essence is untampered.

The place is at really good location..at the centre of vastrapur lake area..n the view is just fab. Out of 3.5, 0.5 is purely for sitting on the terrace n chill out enjoying the view :)
Come to the food, I loved the Bake Marconi..even more when I know it costs ridiculously low I.e. 160 bucks ! The subzis were decent though they do not seem to segregate gravies as almost all 3 subzis v had tasted similar, handi biryani was spiced up(as ordered) and it was just fab :)
This place looks good..though food & service are not as in top class..bt considering the price tags they carry..this place is worth a visit :)
Terrace restaurant.. Not specifically but some what.. They have kept some chairs to seat before and after lunch or dinner.. for dining different area is their.. unlimited Punjabi food is good offer here as they give it at Rs. 200 per person and I guess Rs. 230 per person with macroni.. food quality and quantity is good.. must try once..
City lake restaurant is a nice place, decent fine dine with decent prices. The rooftop faces towards vastrapur lake. And also the terrace is quite big. The food is nice. But the service is quite poor. You surely can give it a try, nice for family outings.

After drink HARIYALI PANEER TIKKA, then CHEESY BABY NAAN with some sort of dip after that PASTA IN WHITE SAUCE - all were unique in taste. Presentation of food was nice. Quantity is also good.

Went there to eat Punjabi food on a weekday evening. The ambience is really nice. They also have good view from terrace.. The food is simply amazing. It's a bit cheaper compared to others. The service is good and the staff is nice. Recommend it to others who are ready to spend on some good food and nice dining experience.

Let me tell you guyz the food is as awesome as its ambience for candle light dinner. You must try starter ummm.. yeah veg. Crispy its a really mouth watering spicy dish with green chutney.. and all the main courses are very fine. In a budget hotel you can go with this kind of properties in ahmedabad.
We had also arranged a great b'day party for my friend and the staff of their had managed it very well. Quick response makes us happy for any service.

Went there for a birthday treat, the ambience of the place is really good. But I was disappointed by the quality and taste of the main course. Soup was also okayish. Starters were good though.
Decor n theme of restaurant is something new and different. Decent place to hang out n to chill out with some good starters, main course and desert. Mouth watering North Indian food. I had it while ago but can't forget the taste of curries and lassi.

food was pretty good.. We ordered cheese nachos and manchurian dry for starters.. cheese nachos were just amazing the cheese sauce was so good and even tomato salsa was good with it... it was better than what qwiches serves with cheese nachos... manchurian was also good, minestrone soup was good.. and main course was also awesome..
Now according to me the service was not up to the mark.. it was slow it might be because of rush on that day or i don't know the exact reason...
But overall the experience was good..

city lake restaurant is situated on the roof of the building and the view from there is just awesome if you dine outside.. food is good and the interior is also nice. economic rate. nice responsive staff. its good for those who want have dinner with their loved ones as this restaurant mostly never over crowded in week days..
i must say give it a try but only at night to enjoy the food with the view.

Visited this place in rainy noon for lunch. It's perfect place to have a peaceful meal in city! They served us with a decent soup and starter. Main course seemed to be perfectly cooked and blended.
Though menu had lesser options, but they were good. I would like to visit this place again for Punjabi food once again.
Also it seemed to great place to organize a small party or get-together. Added top view of Vastrapur Lake is cherry on cake!!

Roof top party - can't think any other restaurant provides you the ambiance and quality food within your budget, which Citylake does. The interior and exterior has been changed from my last visit. Seems refreshing. Taste seems to be the same every time i visit, which puts it in the most preferred restaurant. Best part is you can tell the chef to prepare the vegetable he likes and he will dish out a dish which though is not in the menu will thrill you for the different taste.

I am regularly visitor at City Lake Restaurant. The location of the restaurant is awesome it is just opposite to Vastrapur lake. The restaurant maintains the high standard of quality of food as well as the taste. One more interesting thing about this restaurant is they organize candle light dinner on every Thursday. I love this place, its ambiance and food. Pls make sure to visit this place on your next outing for dinner, preferable on Thursday with your spouse.
Perfect place to date and dine on Thursday. Above from crowded Vastrapur on the Terrace and well built place. Food is awesome and place has been creatively decorated. Can find good crowd , nice musci and minimum distraction. Punjabi is delicious. Service seems to be good. Overall performance is excellent.
City Lake is very Good option for Punjabi taste, it has also option of Open Terrace Dine. I and my Wife visited there for Candle Light dinner. Staff is very friendly and it Value for Money. Keep it up the service and Special thanks to Management team for the arrangements.

A colleague's birthday and she decides to treat us at City Lake. I have heard about this place many times but never got chance to visit there. The restaurant is on the 5th Floor but when you reach there then you can feel the cold breeze where you feel relaxation. The place is so friendly that we wanted to hang out on their terrace till late. The staff is so nice that they arrange special things for us even after closing hours. That was really appreciable.
When we reached that time we had to wait for a few minutes for a table. By then we decided our order for the meal. Soups are the first to be ticked out. Then a favorite sizzler with blue lagoon was ordered. I was so happy with the taste and services so far. But I was eager to taste their Panjabi food as I have heard a lot about that.
Once my dish was served with Paneer Labadar and Cheese Butter Masals both were too good. The people who appreciated City lake food are really true in their thoughts. Also the Lassi which was served lastly was better.
Over all my first experience to City Lake has really made me great fan of this restaurant food, staff, services and breezing view.
You can try this once.
Didn't know about this place but recently saw their ad on Zomato at the bottom so thought I could try it out once..Although skeptical I wanted to try something new hence, came here..To my surprise it was better than I expected..the ambiance...food...overall feel of the restaurant..it would surely make you want to come here again... The Indian food served here is amazing...better than most places which people generally visit...the ambiance is simply fantastic!! the view of Vastrapur Lake at that moment is to die for! Also, the cost of the food for that quality is cheap...really makes it worth going up 5 floors :D

It is good to enjoy the candle light dinner here on the open terrace. Music is really light and service is appreciable.
The good thing is they don't charge extra for the Candle Light Dinner. You can surf the same Menu for the restaurant as well as for the Terrace Candle light Dinner.

Really like the cooking factory at 5th floor. More is nice view of Vastrapur Lake.
Considered this place every time I visited vastrapur lake, but always ended up at any of ground floor eateries. This time I planned to visit this place. I closed my eyes to ground floor outlets and directly went to the place.
One has to walk through a open space (terrace) to enter the restaurant and can get a view of the lake and alpha one+hyatt, but no view while inside the restaurant. It has very simple gray and off-white colored interior. Although it doesn't have colorful illuminating feel, I like sober and peaceful environment of the place.
When we enter the place at 8pm, the place was empty, not even single guest (It was Friday). Few people came later, may be 12-15 in total. So the place was very peaceful and free of noise-agitation you feel at ground floor outlet. Food was delicious and service was good like any good restaurant. And yes, very economical, about 400 for 2. Worth to visit.

It is really Wow feeling here. Ambiance is really good and especially like the concept of Terrace party. Best thing here is you can spend maximum time with your friends and family before and after dine. Not like other restaurants where you have to quickly vacant the table after food.

I have been the newly renovated CityLake and I found awesome ambiance. I am frequent visitor of CityLake from past 7 yrs but food quality is maintained till now.
Terrace party is really affordable and no one can replace this.
That area having much traffic at night.. But it is very good shopping center here is shop like dungee dums, smoke, lock up, the kalupur commercial bank, atm, creamery lounge, shriji vadapav, jay bhole mobile shop, magic sports, the godfather etc..
This is the second time I was there. Once again I wanted to try their menus. But this time I am certainly disappointed because the quality of starters were not like as before. But the main course was as awesome as before. One time visit is must because you will get your private time there.
