I recently visited this place in Ahmedabad and was craving for a good noodles because was very hungry. I decided to visit this place and ordered chilli garlic noodles.They were served hot and fresh and the taste was amazing the service was good , the ambiance is quite peaceful.
The food quality is pretty good. The rates are comparatively less and so its a low budget restaurant and considering the prices its worth visiting.
One of the old and Best restuarants in Ahmedabad. Their experience is reflected in the food they serve. Ordered Fix Lunch, the Subzi were perfectly blended neither more masala nor very less, perfectly balanced, gulab jamuns were amazing, and the dal was quite unique and delicious, never had a delicious dal like this.

Ordered Wonton, Dal Makkhani and Paneer Tikka. The ambience is good, so does the staaf there, they are very quick at their services... Food served was quite average.. Because the dal makkhani had nothing like a dal makkhani in it, it was just plain udad rajma mix.

On a crwody weekends all the restaurants are over crowded and waiting at every place with cheap service and ok food. But in this restaurant you will get a good service with great taste and low waiting or no waiting even on Sunday.
It will always be in my limited choice list for ever if I'm confused what to eat and where to go.
I have my childhood memories attached with this eatery, but lets not get all nostalgic here!
The restaurant introduced me to real Punjabi cuisine more than a decade ago and had since been consistently maintaining its authentic taste and regal quality of food. The well-lit atmosphere, typical restaurant instrumental music which I notify is not something that everyone would like, courteous staff and wooden furniture make it a real family restaurant. It is one such eatery where you would love to take your grandparents because you know you can trust the quality of food blindly. Thought it's not a pocket-friendly meal, it's still one of the most beloved family restaurants in Ahmedabad.
I know 5* is something beyond what there is nothing! But this is my perspective. This place is very close to my heart since more than a decade. It's a wonder that even though being such a small place it provides absolute privacy. It is warm and cozy too! Attendents are so sweet, ready to do anything to make you feel happy! They also customizi their menu for you if you feel happy doing it. Cuisines are cooked keeping healthy balance of oil, butter and salt. Tandoori accompaniments are well cooked and a joy for your teeth and tongue. If you like to enjoy a meal over an intimate talk or a family get together, you must visit this place!

This place must be given a life time achievement award for its consistency in food & taste. Since decades this place serves north indian cusine.
We ordered
1) Cheese tomato soup – mild tasted regular tomato soup topped with cheese.
2) Wonton soup – wonton dumpling in a Chinese style soup. A must try at this place.
3) Veg. crispy – crispy vegetables tossed in chilli & soya sauce. This one is oily side.
4) Harabhara kabab – veg. palak kabab’s served with mint chutney & onion salad (a starter for mild taste lovers).
5) Paneer Balti – cottage cheese served in a creamy tomato gravy. The flavours were blended so wel to give a perfect north indian taste.
6) Veg. kadai – vegetables served in brown gravy. This one was on spicy side.
7) Veg. cheese sizzler – a combination of indian & continental flavours. Can’t deside what starter to have ? this one would have you sorted.
Overall a family restaurant to sit and dine in calm ambience. Also a pocket friendly place for corporate meetings over lunch & dinner.
The interior has a seprate place with capacity of around 10-15 people to dine in for a celebration.
Quantity is really good. More popular for its loyal regular customers as its the oldest one there. Ambience and services good too. Didnt try many things but cottage cheese paneer chilly and cream onion tomato soup, french fries are good.
Good food, great in taste just one complain a little oily. Have been eating here since 3years same taste everytime. Love its baked macroni with pineapple
Restaurant since ages has same taste, what has changed is interior and exterior. They have peaceful environment inside with calm service. No one is in hurry and it is perfect on holiday .... it makes eating comfortable... price is okey... nothing special in food but all in all peaceful dinning
Highly under rated! I love the place primarily because it's not crowded anytime you go here. Although I feel Ala Carte is not the right choice for this restaurant, go to Jahnvee for its fixed meals and unlimited meals, value for money, and the chapatis are made fresh and warm... I love to go here for a normal lunch at times for a meeting or just to chill
Family restaurant. Peaceful location. lovely ambience. Food quality is exceptionally well. We went there suddenly just to take dinner in the rain and the ambience was so wonderful as it has glass doors and glass Windows so you can actually see what's happening outside the restaurant. Must have cuisine for any food lover.

This little restaurant shaped like a steamer was often referred to as 'Titanic restaurant' after the runaway success of the movie. Jahanvee has stood the test of time and come out as a clean, quick and efficient service, sit down restaurant. Located on the busy university road, as you climb the couple of steps into the small garden, it leads you to the main door beyond which the only noise you hear is that of happy diners conversing and an occasional light instrumental music in the background. Within the modestly spaced area, multiple levels give a semblance of space and exclusivity. Most visits here have been pleasurable with quality and hygiene standards well maintained. The rotis and naans are perfectly cooked, never burnt or under done. The vegetables give an aroma that comes from cooking with freshly ground spices and the taste is delectable. I've always limited myself to the Punjabi cuisine here and maybe a few baked dishes or soups. Never ventured much to the Chinese / continental cuisine also on offer.

Tantalised treat of taste buds after a long long tine... A fresh & welcoming appeal. One of the most chaotic road but when you step in to the boundary of premises you will see some nice and green plants blocking our vision to dining room with mild lighting through transparent glass curtains.
This place is very neatly decorated too. No jazzy furniture, not much show-off, everything found just up to the mark. According to me its a perfect place for casual dine ins with family...
We had couple of starters, Chinese sizzler, paneer and veg curry with assorted rotis, all were just perfectly cooked. The best hara bhara kabab of my recent foodiiii experience, fried rice in sizzler were awesome, paneer curry was excellently balanced not much spicy not too light too. Except naan which was a bitt thick from edges I enjoyed every bite of dinner... I was fortunate enough to had one of the best green chutney of my life...

One of the most underrated restaurants in Ahmedabad, I must say. We've been hanging around it for a good 2 years now, but it never crossed our minds to go eat there, and do we regret it!
Despite being a weekend, the food was great, both in terms of quality and quantity. We ordered one veg balls in hot garlic sauce, one veg jalfreizy, 6 rotis, 1 Jeera rice, and 1 Dal Makhani. Just this much between four people. And we were stuffed. Everything was amazing, from the hot garlic sauce to the veg jalfreizy to the dal makhani, especially the dal makhani. And Jeera Rice were out of the world - never have I ever liked plain rice before, here is the first time I loved just the Jeera rice, without the dal. Overall a superb eating experience.
Not only that, even the pricing is also pretty decent. And given the quantity they serve, I would say that it borders on cheap. Great value for money. Not complaining about a single rupee spent.
The service was great. Despite the weekend, no waiting queues. As soon as we entered, we got a table. Within minutes of getting the table, the waiter was there suggesting what to order. He had our order finalised in less than 5 minutes, and brought about the food in another 10 minutes. Prompt service, no delay. Extremely well mannered and soft spoken staff.
The ambience was decent - a quite setting, neither too bright neither too cozy - just the perfect equilibrium. Soft unintelligible music playing in the background.
Still looking for a flaw to bitch about, will probably have to go there a few more times to find one...

We were there countless times. its old timer Punjabi food serving restaurant when non of newly joints got established during last 5 years. Good thing there is hygienic food, same taste for years in a row, well mannered staff, over all well maintained decor & yes quite economical dishes with simple names on Menu. Service quite prompt too. There is every reason to go there at least once in 1/2 months.
Ambience was cool. Pure family restaurant with classic food. Stuffed paratha was marvelous. Located at a prime location and a bit difficult to spot. Otherwise food is good.

I have been eating at this place for almost 15 years. The food quality has remained consistent throughout. I think that alone makes this place remarkable. People revisit restaurants for many reasons but it is the taste and the flavours that give you the most satisfaction.
The restaurant has gone through lots of changes with regards to the interior space, ambience, menu etc. But the taste is still as good as it was all those years ago.
If you haven't been here, i would recommend hot and sour soup, palak Paneer, Paneer chilli fried and cheese nan. Over the years these are some of the items that keep calling me back to visit this place again and again.
Have been to this place may be more than 50 times.. From the owner of the restaurant to the waiters are so humble in their services and the food quality and tastes are awesome all time... Feels like home. . Raja Kabab is a must try.. !!! Cheers.. :)

Today let me bring you the sumptuous-looking review of "Jahnvee Restaurant" which I, along with my parents, brother and wife, visited yesterday @ dinner time.
This place holds a special place in my heart, so dad rounded upon this restaurant for my farewell party.
First thing first, one fact which always baffles me @ every visit to this place; I can see only 50-60% of occupancy. Why baffling? 'Coz this places serves one of the best quality in town @ a reasonable rate.
Coming to the menu, we ordered minestrone soup & florentine with vegetables; soup was not too thick and nor runny, in a way with perfect thickness, texture too it and not too bland or spicy with right amount of herbs.
Florentine: One of the best which I had tasted in recent times. Vegetables weren't over cooked (generally, this is the scene with almost all restaurants) + the cheese was also sufficient (not less not more).
Then, we proceeeded to "Vegetable Jalfrazi", "some paneer dish in spicy green gravy" (I was busy with talking so didn't paid attention when this was beeing ordered) & "Dal Tadka"; with "Lachedaar Paratha".
After reading the recent review from "Best Zomato Connosiuer" of our city, it would be a disrespect if I am detailing the taste of the main course.
In a summary, I can say this was the "Best Food" after a long time.

I have no idea why going to Jahanvee restaurant has never happened for me inspite of having spent long evenings for 2-3 years almost everyday at Nescafe outlet just next to it. But I do know for sure that this place has been on my wishlist for the longest of time. And finally I did go to Jahanvee to be assured that I had missed out on a good food experience all this while. And the best part, we got a place without any waiting on a Sunday evening!
Jahanvee is known to be among one of those restaurants standing a long test of time. But from outside it looks quite new! I am sure they give proper attention to maintaining the place. The feeling inside is the same. Its clean and fresh. A little crowded in arrangement though. The place speaks of being a family restaurant in the look and feel. And thats what made up the other guests here when we had gone. We felt like a group of friends having lost their way to this place. However, we made ourselves a family to feel in place.. Wonton soup was a good variety among the other regular soups. Spring rolls being the best bet among starters. It was the filling of the spring roll with balance of well shredded veggies and not a cabbage spree that I liked. We tried paneer nawabi and baby corn butter masala both of which were prepared well. Biryani tasted delectable and the vegetables were not were cooked enough not to feel mashed instead of cooked. Macroni with pineapple was yum.
The portions of food were generous. Decently priced. Polite staff. Had to wait for food little longer but the TV made up for waiting. I would say it is a decently fancy place - typically traditional yet splendid amidst all the swanky, themed restaurants that have come up in the city.
In case it has happened that you havent been to this place somehow, make it a point to go. Worthwhile overall experience.

Very underrated cafe majority of the people don't know about this cafe bt it is very best in area. Peaceful place. Their food is so yummy and delicious and also affordable. Staff is so nice. They provid pravite cabin for birthday or any celebration. Perfect place for isolationist people.

I am a customer of Jahanvee Restaurant since childhood . They are having super hygiene kitchen. Being religious they even store food over night and always serves fresh. Run by a family and treating all customers also as a family. Majority are repeat customers since years.

Great place for Punjabi food. I have known this place for 10 years. I like palak paneer, paneer chili and cheese naan the most. Their paneer chili is just wow. I also like masala papad. My whole family likes this restaurant. The place is good for the family. The service is also good. If you ever visit, don't miss palak paneer and paneer chili.
