Amazing food. Authentic punjabi cusine. Sarson da sag, makkai and bajra roti are extremely delicious and a must try. The cheese masala papad is crunchy and very tasty
We visited J's Pranthas during our recent visit to Ahemdabad for some authentic punjabi food. We visited there twice. On our first visit We tried Sarson Saag and Makki Roti served with jaggery, and Bajra roti with baigan bharta. Both Makki roti and bajra roti were soft. we asked for more of them. Baigan bhartha was not at all oily as in other places . Sarson saag was ofcourse the highlight.
On our second visit we tried pudina bhatura served with chhole, dal makhani, rajma, jeera rice, jeera and pudina chaas, fresh lime soda and ordered for bajra rotis again as we loved them. All these dishes were delicious. I was impressed with the hygiene they maintained and was informed that they won the award for most hygienic restaurant in Ahemdabad. The food here is delicious, hygienic, healthy and authentic punjabi taste.
Paranthas shop....Ordered peas, paneer,aloo parnatha
neat and clean
Appropriate oil
Enough quantity for 1
Served with dahi, tomato sauce and green chutney
Always makes me happy with consistency
As always, great food! Ordered cholle masala and paneer do pyaza, which was lip smacking! The ultimate & most authentic vegetarian punjabi joint.
It is cosy here, when you want to escape to a quiet comforting place amidst the hullabaloo of the city. With nice music playing this place is heaven for punjabi food lovers.😋
Very very delicious food. If you really test typical Panjabi food than visit here. Daal makhani, stuff Paratha and lachcha Paratha are the best
It is best place to have authenticate Punjabi paratha. Love the food #love the place. I recommend to people go and to hve best paratha at J's parathas.
Excellent food and speciality in Punjabi dish
My family is like very much requested to please visit once and try kulchas famous Punjabi dish
Amazing place, ambience is good, service is excellent, Food was amazing. One of the best place to have Punjabi food
Highly recommended. Must try....
I hear about JS PRANTHS and its wonderful taste. I also want to go with my family but sorry to say its Rate is very high and its not affordable for me. ......... I know that its my problem ...... Maybe if the price will low I would have been able to take advantage of you too.
This restaurant serves you one of the most authentic Punjabi cuisines in the city. This is a very small place with seating capacity of around 8-10 tables, but food is really tasty. They also provide most of the online payment and loyalty scheme's like reelo, etc. They have varied range of parathas and specialize in kulchas served with chhole and dahi. If you want to taste traditional stuff, try their baigan bharta, bhindi do pyaza and dal makhani, really yumm. A must visit place if you would like to enjoy tasty Punjabi food. This place is a managed by a very sweet and decent Punjabi family, which reflects in their food as well. 👍
It's been like more then 5 years now this place is my family's and mine fav. Place to have dinner , lunch, brunch. The food is super amazing and yummy. The owner of the restaurant is the most humble person you will see.The staff is very polite and the food is worth every penny. Go and must try their delicious food.
Loved the part, but when it compared to my last order from another place. It slightly low in expactation.
excellent quality, satisfying everytime.

Best place for authentic north Indian food, especially I recommend kulchay choley ,dal makhani ,prathay and off course all north Indian Curry's and and roti how I can forget to recommend. Right from the peaceful and quite ambience, the lighting, the ever so courteous staff and their greetings ;to the last moresel.Everything is just awesome.Thankyou for homely food
A bit of reduction in the quantity of oil put in the food would be welcomed.
If you stay alone & you need good homely well cooked food then this is the best restaurant in area to order food.
I have been ordering food at this place since 4 months & I was never disappointed!
Also the lassi which they serve is the best!!!!
If you guys wanna try a pure Punjabi food then J's Pranthas is the best outlet in Motera & Chandkheda.
Nice restaurant to visit also.
Jordar bajrani roti ... series good and time to time delivery and jabar dust continue supper dupper veri nyc and etc money vachul second time Oder
This place was bookmarked.
I ordered chole bhature plain and paneer kulcha.
I did not like paneer kulcha much cause stuffing was having tangy taste and overpowering amchur taste. The stuffing was in good amount.
My mother liked chhole.
For me, I would prefer my canteen Chhole. Pocket-friendly and tasty.
I can recommend as my family liked the food.
Values for money: 3/5
I always go alone for dinner here. Staff was pretty decent and the ambience is also quite calm with punjab vibes. i ordered for their all-in-one paratha.
Paratha was pretty delicious but more flavours would have been more better. It was slightly less on masalas, apart from that it was worth eating : 3.5/5
I have also had their chhole puri. Its super delicious with amazing and soft puri. Best place to have chhole-puri : 4.5/5
If you are at chandkheda and want to eat Punjabi food then its Nice place for it.
Sitting--- okay
Taste--- nice
Service---- fast
Staff ---- friendly
Most authentic and delicious Punjabi Food
We had a great enjoy on my birthday lunch today, "it so Laziz food" there was a soft music played, great sirf by viator, n fresh food available
If you are around chandkheda looking to have authentic punjabi veg delicacies though a small restraunt might not be a problem, J's Pranthas is the one. My personal favourite pick of their menu is Aloo pyaz prantha(as they sound), J's Special prantha, Dal fry tadka(if you love garlic) & Sarso da Saag(Winter menu).
Very tasty and excellent food. Best service cooperative staff. Must try j's ka tadka sabji and dal tadka. Good ambience and best restaurant in chandkheda.
We ordered Aloo Kulcha, Gobi Onion Kulcha, Aamras and Plain Lassi. The Kulchas were great in taste, specially the Chhole served along, it was just amazing. The Lassi was also good in taste, could've been thicker. The Aamras tasted more like it was made of syrup, had to leave it in middle. A good punjabi experience.
Best place for authentic Punjabi food, especially the variety of Pranthas. The owner is a great guy. The ambience is cool. Great value for money
The very best Authentic restaurant to have the taste of home made Prantha's. The place is nice with mild lights and the music to go along with the flavour of the day. One should also try the Kulcha's as they are just the one's that you've eaten in Punjab and not like any other restaurant serving one. The daal makhni is just out of the world. You can top all of this with the lassi which is just the rite tonic to go with it. Another best part bout J's is that they serve really good seasonal food, as during winters one must try the Makai kee roti with sarso kaa saag. Not to forget the Tall gentleman who runs the show at J's comes across as a very nice host to the delicious menu that awaits you. All in all a very nice place to visit the taste of Punjab in its very own way!!!!!
Me and my friend yesterday evening it's pales very good food and more varAti of Partha. staff was nice service was also good ambience nice prize not much then other places
J's pranthas finally i.visit this place i heared alot about this place but i am littile satisfied with the service time but food was average not according to my expectation.

While returning from Adalaj Stepwell & on the way to Sabarmati Ashram we found this place specialising in Parathas. We a family of 5 stopped here to fill our tummies with Parathas.
Taste: 3.0/5.0
We ordered a assortment of Parathas.
Cheese Capsicum Paratha 108rs.
Paratha stuffed with lot of capsicum & less of cheese. A disappointing Paratha.
Paneer Onion Paratha 102rs
This was a good one..nicely cooked paneer & onion stuffing. Balance of taste perfect.
Paneer Palak Paratha 102rs
Unfortunately bland. Flat flavours.
Aloo Garlic Paratha 96rs
My fav of all the lot. Perfect amount of garlic. I was in love with garlicky stuffing.
We called in a repeat order for this one.
Recommended!
Aloo Pudina Paratha 94rs
A okay okay Paratha. If you like aloo Parathas.. go for Aloo Garlic rather than trying other combinations.
Butter 12rs per Amul cube
If you wish to grease your Parathas with butter you will have to shell out 12 bucks for a Amul cube of butter..they serve it separately.
All Parathas are served with Yoghurt, Chutney & Pickle.
Gobi Onion Kulcha 140rs
The manager there suggested us to try a Kulcha. We opted for Gobi Onion Kulcha. Kulcha is served with Chhole, Yoghurt, Chutney & Pickle. Kulcha tasted good with the Chhole.
Buttermilk Jeera 45rs
I actually hate to drink buttermilk. I just tasted this one on insistence of my family. A lot of jeera..maybe a subtle jeera flavour can do good to the buttermilk.
Buttermilk Pudina 45rs
A no no for this one. When you take a sip you feel as if you are drinking Pudina Chutney.
Service: 3.5/5.0
Service is good. They take time to get your order..so place it asap.
Ambience: 3.0/5.0
Simple. Little Punjabi figurines on the wall. Dim lights.
The table we sat on had a place to keep your belongings like purse, camera etc.
Value for money: 4.0/5.0
Total bill 941rs for 5 persons including taxes.
Totally value for money.
RECOMMENDED: Aloo Garlic Paratha
Food quality : Average
Staff : Courteous
Serving time: was made to wait, 20-30 minutes.
Suggestions: When you suggest customers for some extra dish, do tell the price as well, so that the charges are not eye-popping.
Lastly, better alternatives are available for their prices.
My carvings to Punjabi food always pulls me to J's Parathas.. Good small place with courteous services.. Chholey and Rajma Masala is a must try with Aloo Paratha.. Menu has many options but few key items are really good and a must try.. Go for any paratha with Curd and it will be awsome at J's Paratha Chandkheda
North Indian Cuisine is what they offer and almost all the dishes out there are delicious. Butter Masala Rajma Chawal was the winner and garma garam Aloo Paratha with Dahi was stuffed well and soft. A good place for family dinners at affordable rates!

Very average restaurant in Chandkheda. Went around 12 and we were the only one. Paranthas were nice but Chole Bhature were below par. J's lassi was decent though. Parking is another issue at this place.
I came to know about this place from one of my foodie friends and I fell in love with its food instantaneously. This place serves pure vegetarian food and is known for its wide range of soft, succulent and melt in your mouth Kulchas. You can order paneer-onion kulcha, cheese n onion kulcha, alloo kulcha, alloo onion kulcha, mushroom-onion kulcha and so on; this is just an indicative list and not exhaustive. They serve their Kulchas with mouth watering Kabuli chana (Chole) stirred in with a dollop of fresh cream. Other accompaniments they serve with their Kulchas are Green Chutney (mint & coriander) and mixed pickle. While they charge for extra Chole, their Chutney and pickle are unlimited. The food, out and out, resembles home made food. It's okay even if you over eat; it won't hurt you in anyways.
On the same lines, they also serve awesome paranthas with curd. One of my favourites is their "Mittha Parantha" stuffed with melted jaggery and coconut. Seasonal specialities include "Makke di roti" and "sarson ka saag" which I am looking forward to try during the ensuing winters.
They have an array of creamy butter-milk also; jeera, masala, mint, plain and mix.
Though their USP is Punjabi food they also have a small section of their menu dedicated to Chinese cuisine. Haven't tried their Chinese but I am sure that it won't be disappointing.
Only catch here is that, they serve Kulchas and tandoori items only in the evenings from Monday to Saturday and whole day, only on Sundays.
But if you happen to visit on any weekday even for lunch, trust me, you won't leave disappointed since you can try their paranthas.
Coming to ambience and service - the waiters are warm, cordial, eager to help and explain the menu items. Average turn around time is 10-15 mins. Ambience resembles that of a small food joint with 10-12 tables. It's an air-conditioned food joint with average lighting, but gives a cosy feeling.
You can make it your routine weekend getaway.
Just osm you try any thing at this place and you got just amazing food like never before must recommend and you feel great experience very good service
Found this place nearby. I was a regular paratha eater during my college days in kolkata, So decided to visit this place.
Ordered aloo gobhi paratha and their special amritsari paratha stuffed with Onion paneer and Capsicum. All parathas are well stuffed.
Good service. Curd served with both parathas and obviously pickle and dhaniya chutney also served.
Tasted very good.
Nice place to have kulchas. The kulchas are nice big and really heavily stuffed served with Chole and curd . 1 is enough but Punjabi's like me can eat 2 . they also serve some Punjabi delicacy like rasma , chole . So being in a Punjabi neighbood the Punjabi food with be always there. Nice small cozy place to have some great Punjabi food.
Be it their aloo kulcha or paneer kulcha, it is all simply amazing. Lipsmacking if I must! The place is small but really power packed when it comes to the taste. After all that's what really matters. Loved their food. The seating is good and so is the ambience. Wasn't that crowded when I visited. Loved the food. I know I am repeating myself but it's worth the mention. Kudos to the chef.
Ambience was ok ok,quality of food is grt but quantity was low,if money is not your problem
Then it worth a single try
Place is very congested but seats r nicely spaced
Delicious Food. Peacefull ambience. Good and decent staff. Very Economical and Affordable. A perfect restaurant to have Punjabi/ North Indian food. Do Visit it once.
I have been eating in Eat Punjab, near to J's Pranthas for over 2 years now. However i was never interested in going to this place as i am not a big fan of Paranthas, until last month.
This place is conveniently located on New CG Road. And being on the road side it is easily accessible too. The interiors are a little dark, the place is small. However these things does not affect the quality of the food that they serve here.
I have tried almost 4 and 5 types of Paranthas till now and i am somewhat satisfied. My favorite is the one with Tomato, Onion and Cheese in it(its called the Tangy Parantha) and also the Aloo and Gobhi paranthas are a treat. Apart from that i even tried the Sweet jaggery parantha and it was pretty good for those who like sweet stuff.
Overall i was able to sate my appetite each time i have been here or have ordered at home. One thing that i didn't liked is the vegetable sabjis which can be improved a bit. Also do try kulchas as they are awesome. And if you live in this area, try Zomato food delivery cause the restaurants delivers really fast.
Interior/Ambiance - 3/5
Food Quality - 4/5
Price on Pocket- 3/5
Service- 4/5
Avg- 3.5/5
1 am deducting for ambience and other things. It's a small restaurant but food is nice, I like their menu of ghar ke type ka khana, you can get makke di roti sarso ka saag and bajre ki roti. If someday you feel lazy to cook for yourself, visit them they will serve you yummy food. Don't expect too much from ambience and all.
A great place. Not so big a hype.. But really awesome when it comes to parathas... In my college days I tasted it's complete menu.. And nearly every one of them was awesome
Known for there authentic punjabi cuisine and its purity. This place is small and not always over crowded and has peaceful atmosphere. We have ordered J's Special Fix meal and the taste, quality and quantity was absolutely up to the mark.
I would suggest to the owner that to make this place brighter, they better should install some lights.
Earlier taste was good but need to maintain the same. Not satisfied on the last visit.
Overall good restaurant & will try once again.
Lets see.
Punjab paratha point is a good place to have a really testy paranthas near Swastik char rasta. This place has a great variety of paranthas made with proper hygiene with affordable rates. We tried Aloo cheese garlic online & Paneer onion garlic paranthas.
Both paranthas were crispy and stuffing inside parantha was enough as well. Paranthas were delicious and was going so well with Garlic chutney. Seating arrangement at this place was bit uncomfortable as all tables are placed next to each other. At peak hours it might not be family friendly place due to all type of crowd coming to this place.
Best place to have paratha. Punjab Paratha has wide range of varieties in paratha and it's simple snd mango flavour Lassi is awesome. Amazing food taste and service is also Great. Would recommend to visit once for sure for tasty Parathas
If you are looking for a place to eat then this is a good place you will get delicious food here the staff is also very nice and this is a famous restaurant
Very affordable prices of paratha. Just love 💗
Super amazing food, cheap and affordable with perfect quality. I gave it 4 stars because the staff is not professional...
Very good 😊 testy Paratha and lassi
