GOOD FOOD GOOD PACKING AND GOOD DELIVERY OVER ALL VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE ZOMATO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK IT WAS AS HOT JUST SERVE RIGHT FROM THE PAN
In Ahmedabad what I miss the most being a bong is Kolkata biriyani. And yes royal Bengal is the right place to give you Kolkata biriyani feel.other Bengali food I never tried here so no idea but their biriyani is really good. But being a regular biriyani customer I found 2times that their biriyani is not at all as per their standard once I found very salty and once I really didn't enjoyed their biriyani as I do generally.May be for the chef absence I guess..but Royal Bengal should take care of that.
Otherwise yes for authentic Kolkata biriyani, this is the right place in Ahmedabad.
The food which I ordered was delicious 👌 with good quantity and it was delivered on time. Chicken Malai Tikka masala was awesome, something different and sweetish in taste. It comprised of 3 butter naan and 6 pieces of chicken along with gravy, a good quantity in just Rs280 price. Quantity along with quality is justified. I have been there before, the restaurant ambience and serving is also good.
Really liked the taste of food. Ordered Biriyani, Egg roll from this restaurant and it was really good. A very good option for Bengali food lovers. Price is little bit on higher side but please consider this kind of food available in Ahmadabad.
Adequate quantity (portion per plate), tasty food
Food was delicious, butter chicken was superb tandoori chicken & loly pop are also very good chicken tawa was average.
Overall nice experience we are enjoying there....
Have been here several hundred times since I came to Ahmedabad. It's our favorite food joint whenever there's time to eat outside, for all kinds of Bengali delicacies starting from Sukkto to mishti doi or any other Bengali platter one could think of. Highly recommended dishes are Tel koi, Pabda macher shorshe jhal, luchi alurdom, of course another signature dish is their Kolkata style Biriyani. You can finish your meal with some of the famous Bengali sweets/ desserts available like mishti doi or nolen gurer sandesh or rasogolla. A big thumbs up for this reastaurant 👍👍
When you encounter a food speciality of Eastern part of India into the Western part of India! You are pleasantly surprised!
Hosted by a friend, this place in #ahmedabad serves superb offerings of the #delicious #bengali #cuisine
The #egg #chicken #kathi #roll & the #cutlets was what we had! Marinated with the right amount of #spices to mesmerise you these are a must-have!
Must Visit Place if you are genuinely interested in some authentic Bengali Cuisine.
The only con of this place is that it takes too much time to serve the food. Delivery is pretty slow i must say.
The items that i would recommend is Bengali Fried Rice( Pulao) and Kosha Mangsho. The pulao is enough for one serving and is cooked really well. It is not too moist, has the perfect blend of spices and goes well with the Kosha Mangso(Mutton Curry) which can serve 2 people also. The Mutton is soft, with a thick gravy, filled in spices. Quite Rich in Taste. The Luchi( Puri) and Misti Doi are worth trying too.
The ambience is pretty simple, nothing very extraordinary.
Awesome is a very under stated word fr the food they serve, authentic bengali taste to savour ur taste buds, misti doi ,sondesh and aamer chatni were sweet and sour surprises to finish off the great rendezvous with taste.
The egg chicken roll and fish chop costing a total of under 200 were enough for a hearty meal. However, my friend from Kolkata did not find the biryani and chicken rezala up to authentic Bengali flavor standards. For people who want to experience Bengali cuisine and are not too particular about replication of flavors from West Bengal can surely give this place a try. The menu is expansive and offers a variety for both veg and non veg lovers. The service is a little slow which can be worked on. Also, the ambiance is a little too dull and can be brightened for a more enjoyable and vibrant dining experience.
This is a must go place for every bong in Ahmedabad. I would say the only great place to relish some great Bengali cuisine in Ahmedabad. The only issue is price of all dishes r way too high. but overall it's great.
I had ordered bhetki paturi which was awesome, though not made and served in banana leaf( bhetki paturi is steamed after wrapping in banana leaf) the taste was good.
The rice served quantity wise is very less
Mutton kosha was again a hit.
I did not like the prawn malaikari much.
Next time I would like to try the Kolkata style biriyani and also kebabs.
Visited the Royal Bengal Tandoori Hut for lunch this week. A nice decor and ambience and there was a light music being played on the background. Food quality was good! Service was quick and responsive! A must try for Bengali food lovers!
Chicken and fish item are very good. As usual we are visit this place very frequently chicken curry, biryani, pomfret fry are good. Staff is decent
Absolutely loved the food. All veg and non veg preparations are delightful. Service is a bit slow, otherwise food is great, ambience is calming and mostly very economical.

The restaurant hasn't disappointed me in terms of its taste factor yet I am not completely satisfied.
Ambience- 6/10
Price- 5/10
Quality- 8/10
Quantity- 6/10
Menu spread- 7/10
The menu range under the category of Calcutta special including biriyani, fish chop, chicken chop, chicken cutlet....are amazing no doubt. The Basanti polao is perfect. Flaw I see is in mughlai Paratha- too crisp, tiny, inauthentic. Chicken chap is too oily for anyone's liking and the pieces are huge but entirely bony. The Hilsa fish fry availability is appreciated but such tiny pieces at such elevated price will make u regret your order instantly. Do I recommend? Yes I do but limit yourself only to the dishes under Kolkata special section for real good experience.
PS: I had seen a tiny cockroach on the table... I dint complain but changed the table eventually.
Had radhaballavi, Aloodum and Chicken Biriyani. Like to see they tried to keep that authentic Bengali feelings in their dishes. Taste was ok. Prices are little on the higher side. A thumb's up 👍
I’m a regular from this joint, ordered multiple times. This is go to my place in Ahmedabad being a Bengali. I love their Kolkata chicken or mutton biriyani. I have also ordered authentic vegetable dishes - the amount of oil is tad bit more. However was disappointed with the fish they served, wasn’t nice at all. Absolutely love the mutton Kosha. Have mixed feelings and hence end up ordering the biriyani always. Also, if the min order could be brought down from 300, it helps. Thanks for serving Bengali cuisine
Our go to place in Ahmedabad for some awesome Bengali food. This place is a heaven for Bengalis! From biryanis to rolls to fish fry and fish curry they have everything and it all tastes amazing. Have visited this place many times and have never been disappointed. Their fish curries are fresh and well cooked and remind me of home. They are happy to customise the dish as per your specifications as well. Staff is friendly and service is good. Don't forget to try their mishti doi, Sandesh or chutney! Hindol Mukherjee
The main main main thing about a restaurant is its food. So first talking about the food, I ordered the special Kolkata style non veg dum biryanis and to my surprise, it tasted as good as biryanis in Kolkata. We also order North Indian Chicken Tawa Masala- which was a mild spicy preparation with boneless chicken pieces- again it was amazinnngg. Now came the time they took for serving the order. They took 1 hour or even more, to serve these things which is generally the time taken for home deliveries. Can you imagine yourself waiting in the restaurant for 1 hour looking at people eating all around you? I can't. So if you are someone like me, I'd suggest you not to go there on the weekends. The place remains choked. If you really wanna try out the food there, which you definitely should, you can go on the weekdays.
About the interior and ambience, it is quite average. The tables are closely placed which may cause a bit of discomfort. Overall 3.5/5 :)
Awesome place to have non veg ...its like heaven on earth for Chkn lovers.. Guys work on your price part.. Pls lower it down or else u will be in trouble for comming time.
I have been there couple of year back but Ever since i have started eating Non veg, Yesterday i decided to visit this place once again. And again, This place has not disappointed me.
I ordered Chicken Tawa Masala, Butter Naan and I must say Pieces, Quantity and Quality of Food was excellent and at this rate, You dont find better than this.
I would love to visit again & again as this is something i was always looking for.
Thank You Royal Bengal Tandoor Hut for excellent food.
I have visited this restaurant multiple times during my current stay in Ahmedabad. Being a bong obviously each time I ordered for Bengali Cuisines. By far it is the best Bengali restaurant I have tried in Ahmedabad. Most of the dishes are of authentic taste. Though preparation take a bit time(as mentioned in some other reviews also), but that is absolutely understandable. Bengali dishes do need more time to prepare. Mr. Devkumar was very courteous and suggested fresh fish items. Go out here for a great taste of food and it should deserve higher ratings.
Cosy little place. Offers a lot of authentic Bengali cuisine. Tried out the Fish Fry, Malai Kebab and Kolkata Dum Biryani, which had an "aloo" and an egg which reminded me of actual, authentic Kolkata biryani. Food was good, the fish fry could've been better. Service was rather slow, even with few diners when I visited.
Ras Gulla prepared in Jaggery syrup is just awesome. Can't find the same quality of ras gulla anywhere else in Ahmedabad.
Good ambience and service.
Butter chicken was OK...Could have been better...Chicken was a little tough...
chicken rolls were missing chicken...Just a lot of onions....:|.... wit Parvati Srivastava
We went there only to have dessert as a friend took us there. We ordered Rasgullas and Mishti Doi. Both were just superb in taste. One of the best dessert experiences in ahmedabad.
It has a wide variety of cuisine They know how to spice up the food and make it more delicious. A must visit restaurant. The service is also good. The place is cozy and decent. I would recommend that all nonveg lovers must visit the place with family
The place is small. But a food of great taste. Biriyani was amazing . Chicken Champ and mutton Champ was superb. Do not forget to try Mishti Doi, you will miss the heaven. Marked with 4.5 point, must be 5/5. 0.5 marks cut due to small space.
Absolutely delicious Bengali food.
The ambience isn't great. And the service time is slow. Slightly on the expensive side.
But incredibly tasty food. Decent serving size.
Strictly for Bengali cuisine, they make it in a best authentic way. Service is little slow and you might have to wait little more than usual but when you get the food, it will make you forget everything.
Have been here with family 2-3 times very good place have also called for delivery. Desserts are very good as well, mishti doi is a must. Service is decent, food quality is good.
Happen to discover this Bengali restaurant with all those mouthwatering options. Bhapa fish nice, Tawa paratha and mutton kosha truly Bengali style. However they were out of Mishti doi. So next time it should be available otherwise I will be very disappointed.
Had a visit last evening and it was good experience.Food was decent and service was good. One can have the real taste of Veg and Non veg items here.
I accidentally bumped into The Royal Bengal Tandoori Hut and... Its been a joy ever since. Try the Mutton Kasa a genuinely Bengali preparation. The mutton is succulent and the thick curry compliments the rice or the roti.
I will highly recommend the sweet dishes too. Best time to visit is evenings or a lazy Sunday noon. The staff comprising of Debkumar, Abhijit, Sujit are excellent. They have the hypnotic ability to recommend the choicest Bengali Cuisine. And yes they serve with a smile! Visit with you near and dear ones and you wont be disappointed.
Had chicken kasa, mutter paneer, & rice. The food was good, chicken kasa was spicy as told, the paneer was also really good, will try their fish next time. They have really good and fresh chicken.

I tried several non vegetarian dishes. Most of them were good but the prices are really high looking at the quantity and taste of the food. The staff is also not very cooperative.
I went to this place bcoz of my bong friends. Being a vegetarian, I expected it be a disappointment. But to my relief, food was awesome. I ate 3-4 items which had some strange name. I could recall only radhaballavi which is a type of puri and was actually the best puri I ever had. Lastly, I had misty dahi and it was yummilicious.
I'll definitely like to visit this place once in a while accompanying my bong buddies
Good food. Have also been getting desserts from here which are really good, sandesh and Mishti doi are really good. The service is okay but mostly we call for delivery only.
