Its been a long time since I was planing to pen down the review of this restaurant. I happen to go there with other bloggers friends in the month of March, after that, ordered for home delivery also many a times. It is basically a Punjabi restaurant, Specially the Kulchas.
So here it goes
Ambiance:
The restaurant is located in a commercial complex named Sardar Complex, near to Vastrapur lake. the complex has some other popular food joints also, like Havmore, Jassi de Parathe. The iron Staircase will take you to this place, which is just above the Jassi de Parathe. Its a casual dining facility with hardly 4 tables. The interior is simple and is maintained well. They have these Spring attached lights over each table, which you can pull down and adjust the lighting. Their Kitchen is well equipped with Tandoor and all equipments necessary for a scrumptious Punjabi Meal. Their main focus is on delivery and takeaway
Service:
Service was overall satisfactory, however the only person serving is sometimes seemed little disoriented, when we are asking for Water or Someone else asked for Cutlery. cannot say if it was only for that day.
Food:
The food was the reason you should visit the place or order from them. Their kulchas are accompanied with a small bowl of Dal Makhani or Amritsari Choley (whatever is your choice), Green Chutney. We tried quite a few items, and they are,
Aloo Garlic Kulcha: The stuffing of this kulcha tasted better than the previous one, soft and perfectly cooked kulcha with delicious
The Kulcha pizzas are the favourites here, a must try. You may have tried variety of fusion foods, but this one is one of the best I have tried till date. They have come up with two options,
1. BBQ Paneer
2. Cheesy Capsicum
Both the pizzas are made using stuffed kulcha for base and then topped with the flavours, sauces and Cheese.
Though both the options were great, my personal favourite was the Cheesy Capsicum one.
Others:Apart from the above they also have Butter Rotis, Butter Parathas to go with their Main vegetables dishes like, Butter Paneer, Kadhai Paneer, Mix vegetables etc. Lassi was also one of the favourites topped with dry fruits.
Final Verdict: The restaurant deserves a thumbs up and a rating of 3.5/5 for its no fuss, simple Good quality food, Pricing . is also reasonble
A must visit place for all north Indian food lovers. Not much of a place when it comes to ambience and seating but it is quite comfortable. And whatever they lag in the furnishings, they more than make up for in the food that they sèrve.
They have the regular kulchas which are a delight but the USP are the kulcha pizzas. Now I know that s fusion food and not many people would be willing to help that in a go when they hear about that but trust me, if you are your scruples aside for a minute, you'll really love the idea. Stuffed kulchas that have pizza toppings on top! Loved them every bit! The dal makhani and the chhole were exquisite and its not even that heavy on the pocket! What more do we want? What a wonderful addition to the city's food scene.
only point if qty for 2 kulchas shd have enough gravy/chana...
good food, the kulchas were different than expected, but overall it was good.
Real Tastey food, hygienic packing and super cost effective. would love to reorder
Nice food, nice packing too.
Excellent food good packing suoerb enjoy
Had ordered the weekend special for Rs. 59! And the quality was surprisingly amazing. The pack contained one paneer garlic kulcha + chole + curd + chutney + pickle.
-The stuffing of paneer garlic kulch was just perfect and the taste was amazing.
-The chole were well cooked however the gravy could have been a bit better but the taste of kulch just balanced it out.
All in all an amazing experience :)
Variety of kulchas with huge stuffings, also one can get pizza kulchas.. a must try for kulcha lover
F.Y.I- tasty chhole served with kulchas which is of a top- notch taste...
Our visit to Kulchas and more did not disappoint us because we had an amzing time. It is located just above Jassi De Paratha which is very famous in Ahmedabad but honestly food over here is far more better and cheaper. We tried:
Paneer garlic kulcha-
Found it to be bit salty. Wasn’t a good taste after all.
Aloo garlic kulcha-
The taste still lingers but would have been a super hit if it had a little more of amount of potato stuffing.
The kulchas are served with an option of dal makhni/ chole and so we tried both. We had such an amazing dal makhni after a really long time. It was cooked very well and it was not too salty or spicy. It tasted perfect. Chole were not so great for us not because they werent cooked very well pr so but they lacked flavour in the gravy. This can be a miss from our end.
Ever heard of a kulcha pizza? We tried this innovative dish and we absolutely loved this cheesy capsicum kulcha pizza out of all the dishes which were served to us. Stuffed kulcha at the base and tomatos, onions, capsicums with loads of cheese topped over kulcha gave a cheesy taste. Kulcha as base was crispy and not soft which was the best part. While eating the kulcha pizza, it was so aptly filled that the excess was not coming out of the kulcha.
This fusion dish is indeed a must try.
Bbq paneer kulcha pizza -
If you love paneer then try this bbq paneer kulcha pizza. It wont disappoint you.
Paneer lawabdaar-
We loved this subji. It was little bit oily but the gravy was cooked very well and paneer was also very soft.
Butter lachcha parathas-
Very soft and huge lachcha parathas.
Lassi-
It was too sweet for us and more because we are not a fan of sweet lassi. People who love lassi should definitely give it a try as it is topped with nuts.
Rating:
Food- 4/5
Ambience- 3.5/5
Pricing- 4/5
Overall rating- 4/5

Kulchas and More is conveniently located in one of the most popular shopping complexes in Vastrapur, almost the centre of West Ahmedabad. Sardar Complex houses numerous other popular food joints like Havmor, Jassi De Parathe, etc. It is located on the first floor, right above Jassi De Parathe. Although the staircase seems a little shaky, the watchman assured me that it would easily take the weight of 20 people like me.
food is really really awesome....
othentic panjabi food limited menu but good actually..kulcha is really awesome and dal mkhani is really awesome actually.. love the food nice service also...
I have visited twice this place. They are located in same the complex with Jassi de parathe. They have basic ambiance. Coming to the food, honestly, at first visit I did not like the food but good part was owner took detailed feedback. After hearing good things from other bloggers, today I visited them again...
Competition really matters and the fact that this outlet is located right above Jassi De Parathe they have been loosing out on customers due to the similarity of items served on the menu. It is rather sad, as Jassi De Parathe at Vastrapur is not even close to good and if only people would keep aside their brand loyalty I can vouch that this place has decent food.
Visited this place twice, noticed a slight consistency variation but overall there wasn't too much to complaint about.
Kulcha:
Cheese Capsicum Kulcha was soft and cheesy loaded with capsicum and spices so incase if you are hoping to eat a maida based kulcha then a slight notice for you that they specialise in wheat based kulcha that taste similar to parathas.
Paneer Garlic Kulcha had a rather salty stuffing if not for that aspect the kulcha was good.
Aloo Garlic Kulcha consisted of huge garlic pieces that add the flavour to the kulcha and make it taste better.
They served Dal Makhani/Cholle, Curd and Green Chutney with every Kulcha. Dal Makhani is creamy and is one of the few good ones I have had in the city. The cholla could have been less oily if not for that they were good.
BBQ Paneer Kulcha Pizza tasted different on both the occasions it was perfect during my first visit but the next time the Paneer lacked the smoky flavour of BBQ which was a major disappointment.
Cheesy Capsicum Kulcha Pizza tasted 100% like a Pizza with the sauces in place and the cheese grated in top. These kulcha are stuffed from inside and topped like a Pizza which adds a different fusion to the dish.
Paneer Lababdar and Butter Laccha Paratha full filling combo for a heavy meal the parathas are pretty huge and the paneer again seemed a little too salty and oily if that works out better the combo is hands down my favourite.
Lassi was a tad too sweet for me but the consistency was perfect and it was presented well with gulab syrup on the inside of the glass and sprinkled with nuts on top perfect for Summer lunch.
Everything on the menu is heavy and one item is filling for one person with a regular appetite mostly you have to take the leftover home and the service could be fast so that people do not have to wait long. Also, the prices are affordable and it is superior to all the alternative places serving same or similar cuisine when value for money is considered.
new concepts
tastes is good
buttermilk is nice
green Charney is ok
kulcha is nice but its looks like same as paratha
if u want to try new than must go
improve waiting time for food come to table
Food was tasty.. but service was very slow.. Need to improve service for serving the food. One more thing we ordered sweet lassi which was not cool. Thats why the taste of lassi was not that much good.
Your food were very delicious and I will come in ur out let many more times. Specialy ur kulachas and ur dal makhni are very nice.i am suggest In my friends circle and any more pepoles
If you are craving for kulchas and opt this place then you'll surely be disheartened as they serve you parathas instead of kulchas.. The parathas they served was good but as per the name i was disappointed.
Love it men..!!!
Want to try kulchas for a long time and today is the day where we finalize to go here..!!
New place in town.. Small place.. Reasonably good..!!
We have ordered BBQ Paneer Kulcha & THE KULCHA LARGE BOX..!!! They don't have sweet in large box so that they served Lassi to us..!! Such a brave heart.. Respect..!! Lachedar paratha is show stopper in the menu..!!
Overdose ho gaya mere pyare readers..!!
Just GO for it...Must try place.. Being a food lover one can not miss it.They are serving a good meal that will make anyone smile.Just love the concept of "Kulcha nu pizza bna diya" , its for them who are looking for something new and rich in taste too. staff and service is also good.
I had to take my wife out to a vegetarian restaurant. After all she had come to meet me so far . So I decided to try something new. Had a couple of options. She likes Kulchas apparently. So this restaurant was quite a surprise. A nice place and Ordered a Mushroom cheese Kulcha which was nice topped off with a lassi. Prompt service and a no frills place where I could have a good evening..
One word !!! Awesome !!! Don't go by the appreciations , a must try place to understand the authenticity of the place !!! All the best guys !!!
Located Just above Jassi da Paratha, I love the taste of the food they prepare and serve here, Kulchas are always been my favorite dish here. We ordered Gobi Mutter Kulcha and Cheesy Paneer Kulcha. Loved the chhole. If you're one of the Punjabi food junkie, than you must visit this place once. Highly recommended to visit at least once.
Great new restro for a very pocket friendly price...if you guyz wanna enjoy and try different flavours of authentic kulchas...this is the place to visit...
Ambiance and feel
The facade is not very fancy or gaudy; it is simple yet classy and elegant. Even the interiors are quite bright and well lit. Despite being a small place, the tables are quiet fanned out and even the chairs are quite comfortable. The cutlery is also simple, nothing very fancy. One thing that I liked the best about the ambiance are the height adjustable lights over the table - you could easily pull the lights down and again send them up without an effort - and adjust the lighting to your liking.
The service
We were a group of 7 people and the servers were careful enough to attend everyone. It may have happened once or twice that they didn't pay regard to someone when they were trying to draw their attention or ask for something, say, water or cutlery - which was slightly disappointing, given the overall quality of service. The attendants were polite and courteous and were familiar with the menu and the dishes they were serving.
Finally, food!
Paneer garlic kulcha
The kulchas here are usually served with either dal makhani or Amritsari chhole. The paneer garlic kulcha tasted great, albeit a tad bit on the drier side. It was quite difficult to eat it after it cools down, because it kept on falling apart because of the dryness of the filling. Also, the paneer garlic filling could have been a less salty - I personally like food with salt on the lower end of the spectrum - so most people may find it completely normal.
Aloo garlic kulcha
The aloo garlic kulcha tasted a lot better than the paneer garlic kulcha owing to the fact that I like potato a lot more than paneer. To me, garlic tastes better with potato than with paneer. Moreover, I didn't think it was either salty or dry like the paneer garlic kulcha.
Bbq paneer kulcha pizza and cheesy capsicum kulcha pizza
Probably the most innovative dishes I've tried in Ahmedabad - and great ones at that. Most fusion food that I've tried in Ahmedabad turns out being not that great owing to several factors - but these pizzas were fabulous! Way better than the normal pizzas and kulchas available in most places in Ahmedabad. Both the pizzas were made using a stuffed kulcha for a base. The kulchas tasted awesome and so did the toppings - although I liked the cheesy capsicum pizza a lot more than the bbq paneer pizza. If, like us, even your heart doesn't stop at this much fusion, then try topping off the pizzas with dal makhani - it may sound weird, but it did taste delectable.
Paneer lababdaar
By the time I finished the portions kulchas and the pizza, I felt so fulfilled, that I wouldn't have eaten another morsel but the aroma emanating from the bowl of paneer lababdaar was damn tempting that I decided to try a bit anyway. And I wasn't disappointed at all. I'd say this is easily amongst the top places to have proper authentic (not exactly but quite close) Punjabi food in Ahmedabad.
Butter lachcha parathas
I loved even the laccha parathas - these were a proper laccha paratha - most other places just serve normal parathas in the name of lachcha paratha which is quite disappointing.
Sweet lassi
The lassi was also delicious - if you are a lassi fan, do give it a try - although, I'd have loved it all the more had it been a tad less sweeter.
Overall, I'd say it's a superb place to grab lunch or dinner with family or friends if you don't want to spend exorbitant sums of money and still eat great food.
Located Just above Jassi da Paratha, I love the taste of the food they prepare and serve here, Kulchas are always been my favorite dish here. We ordered Gobi Mutter Kulcha and Cheesy Paneer Kulcha. They have tasty and great type of kulchas available over here and so I had tried out variety of kulchas with my friends. Me and my friends came to inorbit for shopping and then we had the kulchas and they were all awesome to taste.
The ambience is minimal but the food is good . Their kulcha pizza is a great fushion attempt. The Dal makhani is yummy but avoid the chole . Dahi is thick and creamy. Overall it's a decent place for good kulchas
Vegetable jaipuri and paneer Amritsari these two curries were tried out by me and with these had tried the mix paratha too and that too was awesome. The paratha was soft and tasty and the curries too were thick and great to taste.
There are variety of kulcha available over here and I had the Gobi matar kulcha and that was great to taste. The kulcha was stuffed well with Gobi and that was great to taste. There are many more kulcha to try out from here. The kulcha was soft and tasty.
After shopping for long, me and my mom were extremely tired and at the same time were hungry and so we had decided to have some tasty Indian food from here and so we had the rajma chawal combo and also had kulcha combo and these were great to taste.
Kulchas when stuffed with different ingredients taste really awesome and this I had experience from here while I had different stuffed kulcha and all these kulchas were great to taste and I had enjoyed alot having these kulchas from here.
From here, paneer kadhai combo is my favourite and so whenever I come to this mall, I have this combo only and in this the paneer kadhai curry was great to taste and with that had the jeera rice and that rice too was very tasty.
Cheese capsicum kulcha, this kulcha was great with a good taste of cheese and capsicum inside it and also with this amazing kulcha , had the aloo jeera kulcha and these were tasty too and worth to try out.
kulcha was soft and it was stuffed with aloo and also chopped onion and it was great to taste....
Food is not that tasty but yes afcorse of acceptable standards.
