As I stepped into ZAYKA DARBAR I felt like i have entered a premium place and based on the price it was very good.
The locality around is not as good as the restaurant inside.
It's often visited by families and decent crowd.
My personal favorite is Malai Tikka Seek
MUST TRY: Kepsa, Chicken Seekh and Mutton Seekh, Fried rice.
The service was quite better than expected. To say bluntly it was a bit above average.
Food: 4/5
Service: 3.5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Come back is a relative answer based on if you like mughlai food, and yes the locality is not good
Zaika darbar is one the best in south mumbai. Ambience is good, staff is very friendly.
Chicken reshmi seekh & tikka is very awesome with tandoori naan. Best tandoori naan served in south mumbai.
A Nice Place to Enjoy Mughlai, Afghani Restaurant. Great Dining Styles, if you want to Experience Great Dining Style, then go towards the Upper Floor of this Restaurant. Chicken Barra went on my Favourite Dish with Naan. And Achari Tikka too. And These went on my Favourite Dishes, and I think that there are other Mighty Dishes too. So go Check out this Place now..
Heaven for tandoori lovers I wanted to visit this hotel from so many days & finally I done it
That chicken tandoori with melted cheese and meyo 😋😋😋 deadly combination must visit place ambience is ok but the taste & price worthit
Best Place for Mughalai and Afghan dishes, I love to go at this Place when I'm Hungry in my Free time. There are some Compartments in this Restaurant in which the Table is at little distance from the Ground, so people's can eat in Mughlai Etiquettes.Whenever I go at this Place, I usually order Chicken Barra Cream, Achari Tikka. And sometimes Custard too. I think so there many more Delicious dishes which i haven't tried till now. But whatever i have tasted those are the Best. So go now and try this Restaurant you too would love it.
Dastarkhwan is here...!!!
Enjoyed alot at my friend's birthday party arranged at Zaika Darbaar witha decent ambience.
#chicken barra
#chicken kadai
#chicken malai
We order Malai Kabab & Zaika Darbar Special. It was absolutely worth. Rotis they make here are fluffy, soft & big. If you are around byculla, mazgao, grant road then this place is must visit for pocket friendly amazing food
Been here thrice with my friends and loved the aghani malai tikka at this place. A non vegetarian must try this dish once,it will make u addict automatically. This dish is so rich, creamy and outstanding in taste that it made me travel 800 kms just to have this dish one more time.
Been there with my bunch of friends & family. It has dastarkhan seating like the Delhi Zaika. It is near around 15-20 min from grant road stations. The place is good for non-veg lovers.First we order chicken starters it was good & in main course the butter chicken taste was very authentic.Must try chicken barrah it very delightful & juicy. Ambiance- It is a good place to dine out with family & friends. I like the seating arrangement very well. Service - was quite good but they were not very responsive you have to tell them 2-3 times same thing. Taste- The taste of every dish that we ordered was good . Value for money- Yes its a place that gives you a good amount of food that had good taste with a reasonable rate
Located opposite another similarly named restaurant, Zaika Darbar is a great place for mutton lovers. We had ordered mutton kaju keema, chicken changezi, seekh kebabs and tandoori roti to go with it. Coming to the gravy dishes, the mutton keema was moderately spicy, tasted excellent but a bit on the oily side. Chicken changezi is a tried and tested dish over here - no complaints! The food quantity was good enough for 2 people for each of the gravy dishes. Seekh kebabs were served in a plate with creamy gravy and it was delicious.Â
As far as the ambience goes, we sat in a kind of a small dastarkhan - that is available on the upper storey, the cleanliness was okay, semi-private space. Two-wheeler parking was not an issue at all - it was a weekday. The price is affordable and the food you get is value for money.
Food 5/5
Ambience 3.5/5
Go here for the great food!
The most authentic malai chicken I have ever had. Nothing beats this one. I am a foodie and have this in so many places but this one is to die for
We had ordered Chicken barra cream qtr which was very delicious the chicken was very tender as well juicy and there was hefty amount of cream with the right amount of spices making it super tasty the CHICKEN RESHMI KEBABS were exceptionally good where in the kebabs were super tender along with being juicy not any all dry which in most casses the kebabs are and they were smoothered with ample of butter and spices which did nothing but complimented the kebab in a pleasant way making them THE BEST KEBAB you could ever find the CREAM TAVA gravy was slightly tangy and went perfectly well with the slightly sour khameere roti and rumali roti as well.
All in all the food here was exceptionally good and gives a jist of the flavours of DELHI the ambience is super awesome thourougly recommended for all the chicken lovers out there who want to taste the authentic flavours of Delhi mughlai cuisine in Mumbai
Best part is theres NO GST 👌👌
Chicken changezi is awesome i love it awesome tastes and delicious food good to have such tasty food in nearby areas and tandoori roti quite to tasty
Excellent chicken barrah cream and chicken malai tikka cream ,the seekh kebabs are also a must as well as the rottis are soft fluffy and delicious must try once by people who love delicate creamy and buttery dishes, not recommended for people who are on diet😜😜
Nice place offers dastarkhan seating but the Ambiance is not at all appealing. It is a close competitor of Delhi Zaika in terms of food and slightly lower pricing. The staff is very courteous and friendly.
Must try the Afgani Malai Tikka along with the roomali roti to complete the lipsmacking butter and cream gravy.
Half portion of any gravy will do for 4 people.
Also try the custard for desserts a decent end to a typical delhi meal.
People generally don't recommend this place, but once you have been here, you will surely bring more people back.
Ambience : Perfect for your low budget Dine out. Come in with family or friends the place suits all.
Service : Super quick service. We got our order within 7-10 mins.
Taste : You got to taste it to believe it. 5/5
Value for Money : 5/5
This is the best part of the whole Meal.
You order, you taste some amazing food and then the bill gets you to smile wider. It is hard to believe one can get such tasty food at such phenomenal prices.
We had ordered Cream Tava Chicken half handi, Chicken barra and the rotis, cost us some 900 rupees.
Recommendation : Cream Tava Chicken is a must try.
This is a good place to be.....cheap on pocket and yummy as well at the same time.....chicken barra was something new and good for me along malai chicken......their roti is quality as well......
Do try this place......totally worth it...
Went here with a bunch of friends for the first time and ordered quite much things amongst them I liked chicken tandoori, in main course mutton nihari was superb n In sweets firni was to die for. Liked their food n service n even their Ambience is cool.. Will surely visit next time..
We was there twice in a week
Chicken sheekh was too delicious and chicken barra or chicken barra with cream was tasty
Can't go with family, we can enjoy food with friends
Visited this place late at night few days before & here's my review -
Ambiance or the place in appearance didn't look good for a family friendly outing
Anyway, we went up the stairs & there was a seating arrangement like that you see in most hukkah parlors
Ordered Malai Chicken, Barra Chicken, Nihari, etc.
And the order came
Everything tasted delicious & was really really very good
The rotis were soft as well
In short had a fulfilling dinner
Service wasn't upto the mark & a lot of improvements can be done in that part plus the looks
Quality was okay & the price was reasonable
Compare to the taste every penny was worth
The food is delicious.
Very very oily so weight watches ought to look out
The choice of food is amazing and wide
I wished to try the baida roti but it was not available :(
Decent ambiance but prefer takeaway.
Really good Chicken cream tawa gravy and chicken zaika darbar special here!
they have traditional dastarkhaans here which adds to the ambiance.
Awesome food........ It really provides you the taste of delhi food..... Excellent service..... Co oprative staff....... This place is a must for food lovers!!
This place is the most frequently visited restaurant by me very good food the cream this is one of the best to try services quite good I would say rather average but the food scores the rest
Excellent malai chicken but worst butter tawa chicken... Dnt evr evr evr try it... A place to visit for staeters... Dastar Khan nt upto the mark
Chicken cream barra's taste still I can feel in my mouth. Adequate quantity and nominal rates. Not a great ambience to be with family.
'Take away' always preferable. The starters served are definitely worth try.

+4.5
It was Ramadan time and food is always there on my mind. We four friends visited like at 1am at midnight to Zaika Darbar. Being pocket friendly, it has some lip-smacking starters and creamy main course dishes. A must try for NON VEG eaters.
I loved t he chicken BHarrah cream here it's one of the most delicious delicacy I had in Mumbai and their kulcha is a must try also their nihari
Amazing food. Visited many times.
Need some privacy ,try the seating upstairs wit Indian baithak n all - privacy space for each table. Though if u go late nights downstairs is quiet empty too.
Have tried bheja gurda fry ,chicken changezi, chicken zaika darbar special ,bheja gurda fry..
Lip smacking food...I'm definetly going back again..very soon ;)
Its always a late night eatout for me @ zaikadarbar.
Grrr..forgot to take pics ..once the food is in front of me I forget everything n start eating :D lol
Next time I'll make sure I manage clicking a few pics.
Clean place. Ordered for chicken changezi. Good portions. Use of salt a little liberal. Staff attentive to regulars. Would rate Delhi Zaiqa a bit more than these guys. Would still want to give it another try.
Located opposite to delhi zaika this restaurant gets a miss by most people.
i liked this place as much as Delhi zaika.
Whatever we ordered we simply liked it.
There prices and service is good.
Sitting is comfortable.
We loved chicken tandoori and reshmi kebab.
Their biryani is nice!
Even the chatni given with onions was very tasty.
Enjoyed a lot with friends..(khozema,Burhan,Idris,Fakhri.G,Fakhri.L,Moiz,(Two friends engagement treat at Night in a separate block) quality of food is too good/////
It's Really One Of The Best Hotel for Non-Veg Food in Mumbai..!!!
Zaika Special is Really very Awesome Dish..!!!
Butter Roti's are The Best..!!!
Service is also Good..!!!
And the Best Part About It, It's a Value for Money Restaurant...Reasonable Rates..!!! :)
One of the best restaurant in grant road which lies unexplored also not very well located but serves great non veg food..
They serve great Roti's here , you'll never find such Roti's anywhere in Mumbai so just check it out..
Although they lack variety of both veg n non veg dishes still its worth something..
Afghani malai tikka is the first thing to order n for vegetarians paneer changezi is the only choice as other dishes are not dat good..
Inspite of these drawbacks dis place is worth a shot as
Good food
Good ambience (they also have dasterkhan here)
Good service..
Awesome food
Its not very well located, but food is really great. Awesome Barra and tawa dishes. Had it been located in Colaba or Fort, it would have been the most prospering in South Mumbai
Another restaurant in Grant Road Area (East) which really got me crazy for it's Finger Licking, Lip Smacking Food..This restaurant is unknown to most since it's location is in a secluded area, opposite to Delhi Zaika, just a few minutes away from Jaffer Bhai's DD..
The Ambience is not so very good..The walls have wallpapers of Monuments in Delhi..(Maybe to support their tagline "The Taste Of Delhi")..
I was rather observing the place a little bit..The Chairs are wooden, just like the ones in a dining hall of a bungalow..Tables for 4 each..Seems spacious enough for seating..2 Live Tawa counters on the entrance (Just the same way as Sardar Pav Bhaji) & a Live Tandoor..!! Only difference? Less crowd here..This one's not so popular just yet..
A thorough look at the Menu & I found so many items which got my mouth watering..I suggest people to take recommendations from the Captain, since most of the dishes are not available on specific days..
-:STARTERS:-
The Amazing thing is, that there are 3 types of quantities for a few starters (Quarter, Half & Full)..If there are 2 or 3 people, even a Quarter portion would easily suffice the needs..More people? Not to worry, the Half suffices 4-5 & Full can be consumed by a group of 7 easily..
CHICKEN LEG BARRA (4/5): An Arabic style dish where in 2 Tandoori Leg pieces are cut into 4 portions, served on a plate of melted Butter & sprinkled with some tangy chat masala powder..Definitely not a dish for someone who's on Diet..The overall taste of the dish is completely dependent on the Butter..If it doesn't really matter someone, it's in my MUST-TRY list!
CREAM CHICKEN BARRA (4.5/5): Too Creamy & Buttery..Tandoori Chicken served in a pool of Cream & Butter..A hint of chat masala & Black Pepper sprinkled over the top..! OH! TOO MUCH CALORIES! But still I'd add it to my MUST-TRY list!
CHICKEN TIKKA (2.5/5): Well, I thought that atleast this starter would come in without any butter usage..But I was rather mistaken..Big Tikka pieces in a pool..Again??! Not recommended since the butter here plays a spoilsport..
CHICKEN KALIMIRI TIKKA (4.5/5): Big Chicken pieces tossed in Cream with Black pepper & a little Chat Masala Sprinkled, in a buttery plate..MUST-TRY!!
CHICKEN ACHARI TIKKA (4.5/5): Big pieces of Chicken tossed in with Pickle (Achar) & served in a creamy plate with chat masala sprinkled..A MUST TRY!(
-:MAIN COURSE:-
Just like the Starters, the gravies too have portion..A Quarter plate is served in a big Handi & can be consumed by 2-3..Half for 5-6 & Full portion for I guess for 8-9..Amazing isn't it? So anyone on budget can give a big Party Bash..
CHICKEN CHANGEZI (4.5/5): Another suggestion from the Captain..According to what I've heard, this is supposedly a famous dish from Delhi..A total Tomato based gravy with loads of butter (again??!!)..It definitely beats the Butter content we usually find in a Butter Chicken gravy..It was Sweet & little Tangy too due to the Tomatoes..
ZAIKA DARBAR SPECIAL CHICKEN (3.5/5): The overall taste was good..The Chicken pieces were with bones, so they looked big..Again the Butter content was on the higher side..Sometimes the taste of the gravy is Inconsistent..So I wouldn't say that it's in my list of MUST TRY's..
There are only 4 options in the Indian Breads section which was rather a disappointment..Tandoori Rotis, Naans, Laccha Parathas & Roomali Rotis..All made of Maida..They need to add a healthier options...
CHICKEN BIRYANI (3/5): Very dry rice to be honest..The taste of the masala is still good but inconsistent again..The day I tried ordering, it was good in taste but dry..When I personally visited, it turned out bad..
-:DESSERTS:-
No proper options in this section at all..The Menu only has Matka Radbi, Caramel Custard, Firni & Shahi Tukda..That too they never have Firni & Shahi Tukda available..
MATKA RADBI (5/5): Simply the Best I've had..No stall on even Mumbai's Chowpatty could make Radbi such delectable experience!! Lip-smacking!! MUST-TRY!!
I personally suggest the restaurant to reduce the butter & cream contents in every dish..Or rather keep some options for starters & main course which don't include butter/cream..The food's taste is dependent on these two ingredients..Make the masala more tasty & you'll have more people who would love to frequently visit...
The service has consistently gone down in terms of Serving, behaviour & knowledge..The waiters aren't attentive lately & we have to ask them continuously for providing proper service..
In short, theFood Tastes Great, but the service is so bad, that if a person who can't adjust comes in, they're never ever gonna come back..
AMBIENCE: 2.5/5
FOOD: 4.5/5
SERVICE: 1.5/5
VALUE-FOR-MONEY: 4.5/5
OVERALL: 3.5/5
Really good
And afordable too m loving ittttt.....
A big hug really ....awesome
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
Best mughlai cuisine point in south mumbai... enjoyed
Tasty food at a reasonable price. While ordering any dish just order half quantity when 2-3 people visiting. Half quantity is more then enough for 2-3 people and the rates are also very reasonable.
Zaika special handi one of the must try dishes at this place.
Late night restaurant near Murali Deora hospital. It is open till 2am. Delicious food they serve.
Friendly helpful staff - it had just reopened after being refurbished when we went (Feb 23) so everything was brand new and clean. We ordered vegetarian and it was delicious. Fresh curries and kebabs cooking at the front of the restaurant look inviting.
Delicious food they serve. And service also improved. Must eat malai tikka and hariyali tikka
Excellent food quality..good service..
Food is good and service also good you must go and try
Looking for Desi flavours of nonveg food"
Just give it a try
Best Dinning experience...!Addicted😄 to ck.Barra & malai seekh😘

Food is good, ambience and crowd is poor.
