Tucked in a quaint corner in Alibaug is this rustic gem of a private diner. Homely fare cooked by local women , checks all the culinary boxes. Open dining area in a rustic setting. Book before you go as they cook based on pre order.
So this is very unique/different for a person who's expecting rush rush fast service. This is a place run by a mother daughter duo, peacefully making delicious food. Things will take their time and it's all worth it. The atmosphere is airy and open, food is light and tasty. Coolers are refreshing.
Must visit if you would like to stretch out your lunch experience in terms of time as everything here is prepared from scratch and fresh for you.
It would be something to experience this again with rain pouring all around. Thank you and we will definitely visit again.
Loved the food here. Everything was freshly prepared. The stuffed pompret and crab masala along with ukadiche modak was the highlight for me. Make sure you book a table in advance whenever you plan to visit.
Delicious is what comes to my mind when I think about paisley.
Okay we came across paisley’s Instagram page while scrolling for food to eat in Alibaug.
And the summer menu attracted us to instantly give the place a try.
Also we saw that booking was mandatory you can’t just walk in here because they make fresh food for you and serve limited people for better service. So we booked a 3.30 slot, they guide us what we can eat.
As we enter the place is huge with bricks architectural structure, as we entered we were greeted with a smile from Dhani.
She seemed approachable and guided us, we expressed our will to try the summer menu with mango being the centre of all the dishes.
The ambience of the place is nice quaint has 2-3 swings and we could see that the bhakri was made fresh which made us hungry even more.
Dhani told us that lunch will be served in 15 min.
The veg thali had 3 veggies and one dal mango Ras spl kadhi rice
Very delicious and the non veg chicken thali was also awesome chicken was soft and fresh.
Loved the mango Chilli achar.
Plus point :-It’s pet friendly
Veg thali was for 500 and chicken thali 600 absolutely worth the price.
Totally recommend this place.
Authentic traditional food, great service and ambience. Overall a great experience!!
The food and service was excellent. Cosy seafood spot with home cooking style. Dhani was very hospitable to us. I would recommend to call/text to see the menu and order prior arrival.
Great experience, owner was very friendly and approachable, she even gave some good suggestions regarding the food. The place itself is unique, we had mostly veg food and it was delicious, unique local preparations that we had not sampled before. Overall it is 100% recommended
Very good food . Make sure that you call them in advance and order as this is not a typical hotel. We had a non veg thali and a veg thali.
Good tasty fried fish, chicken curry quantity was very less. Rice bhakari was good, with Modak as a traditional dessert, not available at many restaurants
Really good food and vibe must try sea food thali
It’s a small rustic setup near Mandwa. You have to place order a day in advance as they serve their food absolutely fresh . Food is made in authentic maharashtrian style and served absolutely fresh . Must visit for delicious homelike food . It’s a small
Kitchen so be patient while waiting for your food but boy the wait if so worth it !Enjoy Kokam and papad in the meanwhile .
A quiet rustic place in the beautiful surrounds of Dokhawade, lots of greenery, gentle breeze.
The food was just delicious, super yummy served with great service
Highly recommended and Dhani the owner goes over and beyond to ensure you have an amazing experience. Thanks Dhani and aunty
The Paisley Kitchen
I don’t know where to start with The Paisley Kitchen. I’ve heard about their home-made and authentic Somvanshi Kshatriya Pathare (SKP) food and was always planning to go for their thali’s but never really got to do that.
Every morsel, every grain – Perfection!
This place is located exactly at Dhokawade village. From Mandwa jetty the place is at 10 minutes’ drive. Google maps must have needed to search this place. They have made the entire décor, sitting arrangements everything from the scrap material. Also, they have small seating arrangement as well as they serve tiffin.
About the food, they usually serve thali. The thali consists of Pomfret Fry, Surmai Masala, Chicken Sukka, Kokam Saar, Prawns Pulao and Rice Bhakri followed by Ananaschi Aamati (Pineaaple Aamati).
In desserts we had freshly prepared steamed Modak and Laapshi. The food was amazing and all the flavors worked in harmony and we were thoroughly satisfied with the food.
Overall, I loved the experience.
See you soon, cheers!!!
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Décor: 5/5
Value for Money: 5/5
P.S: The review is strictly depending on my personal experience.
The food was lovely, the spices were mild not overpowering and preserved the inherent flavor of seafood and mutton. Does not contain too much flavor of coconut. Ordered a mutton thali and a non veg thali. Loved the dessert
Truly an experience! Quite location, warm host, quality food and value for money. What else can one ask for on a vacation? I applaud the mother daughter duo and the team of Paisley Experience for such warm and unforgettable hospitality :)
One of a kind place that has heirloom and rare dishes; vegetarian and non-vegetarian, that you ought to try! You need to make a reservation and pre-order if you are a larger group for a better dining experience for sure!
All items are made-to-order and fresh.
I feel the spiciness and heat could be more sharp tastewise. But that is my personal opinion.
There are a lot of items that I wish to try and will be back for more!
