The taste was really amazing and also the crust was really good. And yes the one thing I didn't like was they didn't provide oregano and chilly flicks.

First of all great ambiance and great service.
Coming to point, I ordered Mocktails and shakes. Blue Lagoon was quite impressive but mango shake was not so good. Then I ordered Penne Arrabbiata Pasta which was so yummy and delicious.

The food of El Chico is so satisfying. Specially burger, paneer tikka, soups,kadai panneer is best in vegetarian dishes. The only thing is at the restaurant they told that every variant of noodles contains egg. While in app it doesn't mention that. It's very confusing for pure vegetarians. Substracting a star for this reason.

This is one of the best restaurants to visit when you’re in Allahabad. Whether with family or friends, parking can be bit tricky if going in prime time.
The ambience is great, staff is courteous and service is quick. They have quiet a variety, mostly it’s continental with an Indian twist. I would suggest trying out their pasta with white sauce. There chicken tikka pizza, and cheesy chilli toast is also something to try out.

Perfection, thy name is elchico. We went there for lunch a couple of days back and the food was simply superb. I have to mention the Mango Mojito and the Shami Kabab, absolutely amazing. The Chicken Biryani was good and the Palak Corn Baked dish is my eternal favorite. To top it all the seasonal special Mango dessert with fresh mangoes, icecream and Malai was just fabulous. When ever I am in Allahabad, a meal at El Chico is a must!!!
I’ll fall short of words to describe my memories since my childhood with this legendary place, visited a zillion times and still can’t have enough of it and rightly so, Baled fish and Tomato 🍅 Fish 🐟 still happen to be my absolute favourites paired with FruitPunch it’s a concoction of Paradise
El Chico is one of the oldest restaurants in Prayagraj and personally it has been my favourite.
I have tried almost all dishes here and all of them turned out to be very good.
On my last visit I ordered Butter Chicken,Butter Naan,Chilli Chicken, Chicken Noodles, Mango Mojito and chocolate brownie with ice cream.
Butter Chicken, Chilli Chicken and noodles were delicious however naan was not very satisfactory as it was slightly hard.
Was utterly disappointed by the mango mojito as it din’t taste good.
Chocolate brownie with ice-cream was fine.
The staff is very polite,courteous,trained and friendly.
Service is good.
After renovation the ambience looks beautiful.

Heard a lot about it being Allahabad's one of the oldest restaurant...gave it a try, and was not at all disappointed. The ambience is elite, very catchy indeed. Even being a weekday the place was packed. We ordered Chilly paneer, Veg chowmein and Veg American Chopsuey.
The paneer and chowmein were 5 Star dishes, must try. Whereas the Chopsuey was a little tangy than my liking. Service was tad slow but overall would love to try this place again. Cheers !
On asking around people for a good place to eat in Allahabad - El chico was on top of recommendation. And it did not disappoint.The biriyani was well cooked and very tasty.So was the lassi! The ambience was great and the service was prompt and courteous. Within our 3 days of stay, we visited this place twice. Will go again whenever I visit Allahabad next

It's always been my go-to place since childhood. Perfect food options and their commitment to quality food is what makes them the perfect choice. Their service is also good and makes you feel right at home.
It is nice and cozy place. Delicious food served. The ambience of the restaurant was great. Bit expensive but quality of the food was maintained.
It was good experience with El Chico one of the oldest property of Allahabad and good place for fine dining and they are more into continental,Indian and Mughlai.Service part is also good but if you are koi for this place for dining then you have to pre booked your table without pre booking you will face waiting problem over there.

We were in Pryagraj for Kumbh and were looking for a nice place to eat, few people we inquired from recommended El Chico. This is a nice very cozy family restaurant. We had to wait for 15 minuets to get a table. Sitting is comfortable and cozy. Menu is elaborate offering Indian, Chinese, Continental dishes. Order of Chicken Chilly Garlic Kebab, Mutton Shahi Korma, Sookhi Subzi with assorted breads were just perfect. Meal was finished with hot gulab jamun and some vanilla ice cream. Would highly recommend for people visiting Allahabad.
One of the best and classy restaurant in prayag. Food is mildly spiced which is thums up for me. Every waiter is so decent. Both days during my stay I went there and Mr nizam served us with politeness and smile. Would definitely visit again whenever I will go to prayag.

It was a short trip in allahabad in 2017 my friend suggested me for El Chico . I ordered hear Roasted Chicken and A gravy Dish and I was amazed by The taste, That was Good and Authentic . Being a lucknowite i am the great lover non-veg . After my visit in allahabad i can say El Chico is a great Place to visit.
One of the first restaurants in Allahabad I had ever been too. A great and common place to meet up for lunch, situated in the hub of Civil Lines.
The food took some time to be prepared, and the service was not quite as quick as it usually was. The food was average, with our favourite being the pineapple raita.
Overall experience would be average, a little less than satisfactory.

The best thing about this place is that they don't compromise with quality of food. The prices are a little high but you can be absolutely sure that you will be getting your money's worth. Very high quality and very tasty food.
Great food and service. El Chico never disappoints. Be it the Indian, continental or Chinese the food has always been consistently good. The dessert are also great. The apple pie with vanilla ice cream is a must.

The food specially sizzler was great. The interior is not as good as that of the cafe upstairs but the food is far better than the latter. Overall it's great.

Good place for a lovely evening in Allahabad!
The place has a beautiful vibe and atmosphere and was splendidly decorated for Christmas when we went there. I visited the place on Christmas eve and the staff was very polite and courteous to us.
🍜 Chicken and tomato basil soup with Spaghetti
The soup was absolutely delicious though very low in quantity. Wish it was at least a little more as per the price being charged.
🐟 Fish Amritsari
The Fish was soft and succulent and well cooked, but again, too low on quantity and presentation was super shabby as well. They really need to make sure the presentation of the dishes is better than this.
🍢 Red Chilli Chicken
The chilli chicken was delicious and we loved it. The tanginess of the sauces and the veggies in the gravy made it simply superb.
🍚🍗 Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani and Nawab's Veg Biryani
These were the highlight of the meal I must say! Absolutely loved the Biryanis to the core. They served each of these with Raita and salad and the biryani was beautiful in its aroma and supreme in taste. Enjoyed it to the core I must say. This is a MUST TRY when visiting El Chico for sure.
Overall, the place and staff is good and the food is great, but the price is steep for the low quantity and the food also needs better presentation.

What's better than a hot scrumptious lava cake in the heart of Autumn. El Chico Restaurant , has always been my personal favorite when it comes to desserts. They redefine quality in their own way, and what a way it is. The staff is as good as the food that they serve. The lava cake is freshly baked with a very appropriate blend of all the ingredients, and the lack of any peculiar aftertaste proves the fact. The price is more nominal as and when compared to that of other famous places. Highly recommended.

One of the oldest restaurants in the city, this place has been around for half a century and is an institution. The food is great and everyone who comes back home to Allahabad has this place on their agenda. Though the quality of service has deteriorated in the past few years, the quality of food still remains top notch.
Description:
1. Pina Colada, Virgin Mojito and Cream of Tomato Soup: The drinks were refreshing and the soup was extremely rich.
2. Fish Fingers: Though served fresh, the coating could have been crispier. The dish was decent.
3. Great Cottage Cheese Steak Sizzler and Grilled Minced Chicken Sizzlers- Both the sizzlers were equally good. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and the sauce was delicious. The protein in both the chicken/cottage cheese was also tasty and well cooked. Must try!
4. Chocolate Indulgence- The dessert was a hit! Must try! Just a tiny qualm with the brownie was that it had turned a little hard when it was served.
5. Mixed Meat Fried Rice- This is another dish which we highly recommend. The dish had chicken, mutton and eggs as suggested by the name. Personally, felt that the dish was on the blander side, but mostly because the fried rice was plain and did not have any added sauces.
This place also offers complimentary breadsticks and dinner rolls. Take note!

El chico is the main attraction of the city for the lover of food they serve Indian , Continental , Chinese .
Close to Allahabad Junction & Allahabad Bus Stand .
You had Maa k haath ki Roti. You had Dhaabe de naal di Roti. You had all sorts of Roti. But nothing will stand in front of El Chico's Roti. This one item, overshadows every other lacuna they have. The taste of Roti, where you get to enjoy each an every bit of cereal in it. Aptly cooked. Neither burned nor uncooked. This one item simplely makes me give the extra star.
This is a very old restaurant located on 1st floor in Civil Lines area of Allahabad. An Indian version has also cropped on the ground floor but this review is about the one on the first floor. The decor is unusual and inviting. They serve typical European style dishes and within reasonable price. One has to though wait a bit longer because they make from scratch but the wait is worth it.

Have been there for the meetup with some old. Clg friend. I think Elchico is one the oldest and best cafe in the Allahabad . They are recently renovated its seating.Price are very budget friendly in the menu and Cappuccino and Kitkat shakes was also good. I will suggest if anyone is in Allahabad come here and try his cuisien.

Like each time, the food was exceptionally good. The sizzler was as good as in the bestest diner anywhere. The biryani, dal, rotis, noodles, virtually all popular types of cuisine were ordered. And each was awesome. One area where I think they might want to improve in: they should train their waiters to be more professional. I have no complaints though, as they were quite polite.

This is one of the oldest and finest restaurants in allahabad. Undoubtedly, El Chico is a bit overrated in matter of its price. It has a classy ambience with a good crowd as and offcourse some taste.
We are regular customers of El chico for the past 18 years and seen this place evolve beautifully. You get best quality of bakery n cakes n all other related things in the whole town. I just love this place.

Beautiful interiors and Lovely ambience and classy vibes. Coming to staff they are extremely friendly and will take good care of you. I love the fact that one old uncle is still there who knows me well since childhood afterall he is there since 30 years. Even the owner will be on his toes to make sure that you are having a pleasant experience. Now coming to food, so if you are someone pure Allahabadi you will definitely feel a change in taste as it doesn't meet up to the previous standards specially the Chinese but if you are newbie in town or not a frequent visitor you might find it good. El Chico has a legacy and me as a customer looks forward to same old taste and nostalgia.

Tried their bakery section. One of the best in the city and probably among the best in our country. The variety of bakeries they provide and the quality they maintain is astonishing. Choco lava cake the favourite till now for me.
Their dining section serves one of the best non veg foods in Prayagraj ( I haven't tried veg options but are expected to be good). Must tries are the different sizzlers ( special recommended Fish sizzler with grilled sole fish). Mutton biryani is delicious. The usual roti and indian curries are also good.

Amazing place, although i tried bakery items only.. But they were actually good. Rich flavor and high baking skills could be observed.. Staff is professional but cooperative - not easy to find. The restaurant and terrace are also quite decent. Overall i loved visiting here and will be back again..
