Best and most authentic mughlai food in town at the most reasonable rates. I have had Butter chicken, bhuna gosht and just cant get over it. Also the ambience is so calm that makes it perfect for a fine dine!!

This is easily the best Mughlai cuisine restaurant in the city. Come here for the delectable dishes and a hospitable staff. It is situated in the heart of Civil Lines area, and is easy to reach as well.
I had lunch at this restaurant on a lazy afternoon at around 2 PM and upon entering I found that they were not ready as the furniture was not in place , however their hospitality was good and they allowed me, the only guest at that time. I ordered Chicken rara which was nice but could have been better because the chicken they used was old and dry. Although their preparations were really good, I also had a glass of cold coffee which was average too. Overall, it's a decent restaurant and looking at other reviews I can say it might be better at dinner time but only a fair restaurant during lunch.
This restraunt in allahabad located in civil lines next to biba showroom is paradise for doz who love non veg dine in is a great here outside der is an ice cream parlour not serving variety yet manage to be called as ice cream parlour food is tasty not just spicy usually people add alot of spices in order to make it tasty which is foolish dey have taste and proper blend of spices which engage ur taste buds in an enormous wow flavour

Kohinoor, heavily under-rated, ambience is good, but the place is a little under-staffed, but that doesn't bother me.
I have rated them 5/5 because of the wizardry that happens inside the kitchen, every dish these guys churn out is perfect to the T. I have noticed the owner always supervising the kitchen himself which shows that food is of utmost importance here! This place is particularly brilliant when it comes to typical Indian-Mughlai non-vegetarian preparations.
Every dish on the menu is separately cooked, every dish has a very varied taste and this isn't a mass-production kind of restaurant where tandoori chicken is added to roughly every chicken offering on the menu.
My favourite is Murgh Rara, a superb chicken preparation, cooked with minced mutton and a superb blend of spices. One can not write much about Murgh Rara, this has to experienced!
Kadhai Murgh, again is in a league of its own. Rich, creamy and wholesome.
Butter Chicken is as close to the real butter chicken as its gets, I can vouch for this because I have been to the place where butter chicken was actually invented/created(Moti Mahal, Darya Ganj, Delhi!).
Though I am not much of a mutton eater, Bhuna Gosht is a regular order in our take away or home delivery package(my father is fond of mutton!), I have tasted it and found it to be really well cooked and tasty!
Tandoori Murgh is well cooked and never dry.
Perfect roomali rotis to go with most delicacies on offer!Dum Biryani, cooked in the Awadhi style, very high quality rice cooked to perfection with pieces of mutton or chicken. Very high in flavours but a little low in quantity.Quantity is not a problem with any of the dishes on the menu, except the Biryani and Bhuna Gosht!
Kohinoor serves Chinese food too, Indian-ised of course, but have never wanted to try it here.
***Caution, one meal at this place means you gain a few thousand calories, easily. The food is very rich, but that's the thing about good food, you really wouldn't have the thoughts to count calories, I guarantee.

The cuisine here is fabulous and finger licking, the aroma of the dishes is so good in the air, the cleanliness is on another level, the service of an older aged uncle was very nice to be honest.
