probably the best place to eat and relax at kasar devi... amazing location...amazing food...Uma aunty and baba ji are both hospitable and their naughty lil one Nittya( not quite sure of the spelling)is just tooo cute...the best thing(for me) is that there's a guitar available XD..i dont think anyone can get amazing cakes , amazing chai, and amazing view at the same time anywhere else...even if they do...they can't get the feeling of kasar devi with it :P..
Awesome place indeed.. Babaji and Uma are indeed a powerhouse in the kitchen and churn out the most delicious food.. Be it cakes, breakfast or anything else.. The whole place is brought alive by their cute little daughter and their dogs.. You must go here if you're around.. Not a place to miss! <3

Baba and his family are very old Almora/Matena. They are wonderful people. This is one of the last places to get any real Indian food in the area.
The only problem which has arisen in recent years would be the Indian tourists with their endless cigarette smoking, rudely blasting their own music, which is the only reason I typically don’t visit here any longer.
Nice place to sit and interact with new people.
Cakes and waffles are just delicious and baba tries his best to cater to your demands.
Prices are reasonable in comparison to other places in Kasar.
If you happen to be around kasar Devi then must visit Baba cake . He serves amazing food . I had sandwich which is served with bun .it was so yummy specially the green chutney on top of the world.

A beautiful little eatery where vibe is everything. Their menu too describes the place as having "Good food. Great Vibes". It's a great place to chill while you are in Kasardevi. A true Hippie stop over, considering it is situated on the Kasar Hippie Hill. Baba ji, the owner and his lovely French wife Uma Devi Nath and their truly adorable daughter try to give you the best time there with all their love and compassion. Lucky to see the entire family together this time. Known for its epic, scrumptious Apple Crumble and Bannoffie Pies. Their sandwiches are very delicious and appetizing too - specially cheese tuna. I usually spend 3-4 hours at this place on any given day in Kasardevi. Have their Ginger lemon honey and the natural Himalayan herb drinks for a good flushing of your body. The tea they serve is one of the best, most balanced tea I have had in a long long time. Never seen an owner before who regulates the functioning of a place and the operating timings according to the wish of the people chilling there. Yes, there is no fixed opening-closing time, it'll be open untill you want to chill there. Fabulous hospitality!!!

I have awesome brownie cake on order. It was our anniversary and ordered the cake a day before and got such an awesome cake delivered. I will recommend this place.
Story of this place is unique. Also can try brownie and cakes ofcourse. someday the taste is different other day is different 😅

This place has the best Apple crumble pie. The place is off the main road but not difficult to find.
Food in general is good and pocket friendly. The apple crumble pie, cheesecake, pancakes are great.
They make great masala tea too, just too sweet for my taste so one must ask them to adjust the sugar as per one's taste.

This is the spot where everyone in kasar devi likes to hang out. If you want to meet new people and make new friends you should definitely go. Also the owner was once a Renunciated baba who later came back to normal lifestyle and now runs this cafe.
