This place is cool to visit as on a regular basis there is not much luxury in the restaurant but you can find a good quality of Punjabi food over there like in talli this place is excellent for those peoples who are looking for traditional Punjabi food with light spices
Best place if you visit Amritsar. When every I visit Amritsar this is the place to spend time with family. Food is always fresh.
Had heard good reviews about this dhaba from the locals so decided to give it a try. Tried their Paneer Kulcha, veg thali, dal makhni and Lassi. Everything came with generous amount of butter and ghee, if you are a non Punjabi, pls have a rough idea before placing the order, it's impossible to eat such portions of meals. Coming to the ambience of restaurant everything seemed dusty and oily, staff appeared to be some what confused as they jumbled up certain orders from neighbor tables
Nice place for food.... More cosmopolitan. If you are looking for rustic food, not the place
One of the most well-known Dhaba around the Golden temple, Brother’s Dhaba is famous for its lip-smacking Parathas. So we decided to head to this Dhaba for our lunch.
THE FOOD :
Paneer Kulcha with Dal makhani & Salad – The Kulcha was nice and crisp from the outside & the paneer stuffing was very delicious. Dal Makhani had the perfect earthy flavor to it and went really well with the Kulcha. We also really liked the flavoured onions served along with it.
Stuffed Kulcha with Curd and special Chana – This was our most favorite. The stuffing of the Kulcha was simple yet amazing. Also the Chana served along with it was spot on. Must Try
Mango Lassi & Sweet Lassi – The Lassis were good and the quantity was nice.
For the main course we had Dal Tadka, Paneer Tikka Masala, Tawa Paneer along with Laccha Paratha, Mint Paratha & Naan. Dal could have been butter but the gravies and Parathas were good. Must Try the Mint Paratha.
Best friendly and fast service. Food quality is very good. Numerous types of cusines are available here. But if you want to eat indian cuisine, this is the best place where you can eat.
Visited i ❤️ brothers on my recent trip to Amritsar. An amazing place. Loved the special amritsari kulcha. We had this for our breakfast and were so full that we skipped our lunch. The best kulcha i ate in Amritsar. A must try
Brothers have been known for their paratha and lassi. When I visited Amritsar I was recommended to taste their lassi by a lot of many people and I must say that I was cherished after tasting their lassi. If you are visiting the golden temple then you must try and give it a shot.
Brother's is best for some amritsari food. Thero food is very tasty. Waiters are really very polite. Their amritsari kulcha was very tasty. And being a dhaba they also serve the best chinese.
Amritsari Aalu Kulcha @ Brothers' Amritsari Dhaba, Town Hall, Amritsar
Taste - 5, Quantity - 5, Quality - 4, Hygiene - 4, Service - 4, Ambiance - 4, Price - Decent
Verdict - Must Eat This
These are two brothers running adjacent eatereis with name - Brothers' Amritsari Dhaba & Bhrawan Da Dhaba (again meaning Brothers' Dhaba) each claiming the ethnic lineage to the iconic name. Since, our rickshaw man recommended that this one is original and tastier, we went here. The place has chic punjabi vibes with a truck mask & cycle rickshaw as part of interior.
We ordered an Amritsari Aalu Kulch Thali which had an Aalu Kulcha (a bread baked in clay oven with potato based stuffing) along with a Channa Sabzi, curd & fresh pickle. Everything went so well together. The Kulcha was hot, crispy & delicious. But more importantly, it was indeed topped with lots of butter. If you are in Amritsar, go there!

If you are in Amritsar do do visit the Brothers Dhaba and cafe. We ordered The famous amritsari Kulcha that was mind blowing the kulchas were nicely cooked and moist and they also serve Chhole and tamarind onion, the chhole was so flavorful and soft. We also ordered kaddhi rice which was also nice but I would say Amritsari chhole kulche is a must if you come here and lastly we ordered Phirni which was so so good not too sweet and the quantity for the price was good as well. The ambience is good too and the staffs are courteous. Would love to come here again.
Brothers Dhaba has been awarded No.1 Dhaba of Amritsar by Dainik Jagran for the year 2007-08 in Dhaba and Restaurant category. This huge eatery is located very conveniently at a prime junction in Amritsar and very prominently visible as you return after an elated visit to the Golden Temple from the Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) side.
You can boast it to be the best and most authentic original Punjabi food joint. Brothers Dhaba specialities are Sarson ka saag and Makke di roti, Amritsari Kulcha and chhole and Special Punjabi Thali that includes Makhani dal and parathas. The Brothers’ also offers vast varieties in food under one roof that include Chinese, South Indian, Pizza, Burger, Chat, Ice Cream- Sundaes, Shakes etc.
Located right outside the Golden Temple, this dhaba is an amazing place for a family dinner after a hectic day. I personally recommend the Paneer Paratha with Dal Makhni.
The staff was very responsive as I asked for spoon and got spoon from two different staff.. Hhahaha😂... And more over best salted Lassi I had here.. Guys you must try it once
Super and best shop I like this restaurant .
.,..............................................................................................
Everything about the place is good. We love eating from brothers. Thanks for making people smile with your delicious food and the quantity. Keep serving like this.
Amazing place to visit here. Opens at 8am in the morning. Tried Cheesy Naan with Dal Makhani at this place, located at walking distance from Jallianwala Bagh.
Lassi was outstanding it was so thicklious that the straw was upright from the kitchen to our table. Ordered kulcha which was amazing. The food overall was pretty darn good. The staff were witty but efficient. Only was the ambiance which i was not very happy about. But for the food i can go anytime.
Had been here on my trip to Amritsar. This place was highly recommended by all the locals.
On entering the place the instant smell of kulchas was very welcoming. I had the traditional rajma chaval, kulcha chole here. Both the dishes over exceeded the expectations. The food was extremely delicious.
For desserts I had phirni and matka kulfi. Both the sweets were mouth watering. Not too sweet but satisfying enough for my sweet tooth.
This place has a very homely feel to it. The staff is courteous too and the service is fast. I couldn’t stop myself from going here twice during my visit.
I would be definitely re visiting this place on my next visit.
Had a quick lunch here yesterday afternoon. Ordered the Spl.Veg Thali, Rajma Chawal, Kulcha & a nice Phirni to round off the meal.
It was all FINGER LICKING GOOD ! Our server was a very nice, helpful chap who helped us order the right food and the service was also quick. Please do visit this joint at the earliest !
When i visited Amritsar, this place was my favourite breakfast and lunch place
Absolutely loved the ambience and the staff is also very polite.
Plus the food i tried was:
Special Amritsari kulcha (4/5)
Rajma Chawal (3/5)
When in and around amritsari, do visit this famous place
So you want to eat the authentic punjabi dishes as well as some western food also head straight to this 50+ years old dhaba...
We ordered kulcha for our breakfast which was good healthy but from the price to quantity point of view it was little bit pricy but hey you are eating kulcha sitting comfortaly on chairs and having AC air...
The main dish that i crave for, is the dreamboat
I mean it is nirvana for icecream lovers
A boat shaped cup with three different types of ice cream scoops, over the top some sprinkled roasted nuts and raisins with waffles on the top... Just shaped like a pirate ship.
Just try it once.
A perfect brunch before visiting the golden temple. Visited the place as it was recommended by the locals and wasn't disappointed. The place has female waiters who are very polite and nice. The kulchas were authentic and delicious. A must visit.
The place is beautiful and well managed interior. The food is yummy and awesome service by the staff. They are quit cooperarive and polite. I love the place and always prefer in amritsar. The price is little bit expensive.
Amazing food!!! Tried Brothers Dhaba on last day of our Amritsar trip and we immediately regretted why didn't we come to this place earlier.
The best place in Amritsar where u Will get food with proper tastes n one can easily enjoy a meal with family at affordable prices
Service is also very good
A regular goer when I come to Amritsar to this place ! Love the amazing stuffed amritsari kulchas ! However the service was a bit slow but the food was worth drooling over !
Though got rave reviews for this place, we, being hard-core non vegetarians were initially apprehensive of visiting this outlet. N since we were shopping nearby only, finally decided to give it a shot. And we were not at all disappointed of our choice. Kulchha, what the city is famous for, were so soft that it almost melts in your mouth. Hot kulchhas were served with dollops of butter, salad, rajma, raita and salad. We also ordered Butter Naan, Daal makhni and Khadai Paneer. We all have tried all these dishes, but coming here makes u distinguish the authentic taste. Recommended even for all non vegetarians, to get the authentic taste of all the dishes we r so familiar with, but never did they taste anything close to this.
Amritsar never ceases to amaze us with It’s hearty food. It is a perfect example of how good the food can be when you cook it with a lot of love. It was 11 in the night, we completed our evening darshan and were looking for a place to dine on. Majority of the places near the temple area shut at 9-10pm. The ones open are subway, McDonalds etc which we were not keen on at all. Luckily we ran into this joint right in the middle of town hall. I guess we were the last customers of the night so he entertained us. We ordered the usual - Alu wala kulcha. It was by far the best we’ve had in the entire trip to Amritsar. It came with chole but you could eat the whole kulcha without it also, it was that good. I am salivating while typing this review. Yum yum..must must visit!
An amazing experience of authentic Punjabi food. We ordered Veg thali special... And it was unbelievably tasty. I have never had such wonderful Punjabi treat before. This lunch will be always in our memories of Amritsar visit
Best Thali, But place is too much crowded.........
One of the best place for thali, We had Veg Special Thali..............................
Food 4/5
Service 4/5
Ambience 3/5
Amazing mini thali and delicious paneer - however loads !!!! of people on a Friday evening which results in necessity to share tables. Restaurant is still worth the experience;)
Great place to eat with family and friends. One of the best dhabas nearby. I only got to try their breakfast menu (available before 12pm) and ordered parantha with chana, dahi and salad. It was delicious and so fulfilling that I ate nothing else till evening that day. Food quality is great. Only issue is serving time increases when there is a rush.
Had amritsari kulcha thali and stuffed tawa paratha
Very courteous staff and amazing food.
Loved it absolutely
Cahanne were well cooked
Near golden temple. Must visit place
Visit Partition Museum in Town Hall and then head to this place which is right opposite it. We went here for lunch. Not so crowded. Staff is helpful.
We were served within 10 minutes of putting the order of -
Tawa Paneer (Brother's special)
Butter Naan
King Lassi
Naan cam get you full. Subji was perfect for two. Lassi was buttery and sweet.
Overall good experience !
This is not only Amritsar's No 1 Dhaba it's India's No 1 Dhaba. I don't have more stars to give you this is more than 5 stars. Everything of here is more tastier than I assume
Great quality of this restaurant .i visit many times for this and order from zomato love this great job done by restraunt owner and all staff.
We were staying at Ramada Amritsar and this was this 10 mins walking from that place. And trust me the breakfast we had here was 10 times better then what we had in the hotel buffet. Full on calories but mouth watering. Too good to not taste it!
They offer the best kulchas in the town! Don't forget to try the special amritsari kulchas.. this place is pocket friendly as well as offers quality food!
Amritsar is famous for kulcha's & paratha's but this palce serves you extremely good kulcha & paratha. Recently been at golden temple & heard about this place. Place is located in market near golden temple. We had kulcha, paratha & lassi all dishes are good in taste. If you are in amritsar nr golden temple than this is the place for your cravings for punjabi food.
Lassi is the best,Do try that. Staff is little slow.Otherwise one of the best restaurants near the Golden Temple.Punjabi dishes are delicious.
If you are a die hard Indian food lover or heavy eater this place is a good choice for you.
I personally can’t eat much of thali or heavy duty food, so it was average for me.
❇️As a family dining place seems like a good option.
❇️location- prime (they have many other outlets in different locations)
❇️ speciality-
☑️Special kulcha thali (stuffed kulcha, daal, butter, raita/curd) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
☑️Lachha paratha ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
☑️Amritsari thali ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
☑️Kadhi chawal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
☑️Paneer items ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
☑️ lassi ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Overall food is descent
❇️quantity is good (i could eat only half my meal)
So order less initially, then move on to order further.
🚫i asked for plain boiled yellow daal for my baby- for which they charge 120₹ ❌ wasn’t happy about it. ❌
The Brother's Amristari Dhaba is a family restaurant, famous for the Amristari Kulcha and Punjabi food, serving only vegetarian food.
Tasty was full of flavor, specifically pleasant. Must Try: Tea, Kulcha.
The rate is reasonable (approx 200 to 400 per person), and the food waiting time is approx 5 min.
The restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
They have sitting arrangements for large groups of people.
Awesome place. We ordered Amritsari kulcha with chana, pulao, Kadhai paneer.
The amritsari kulche was awsome, properly cooked & crisp to eat in short “majje hi aagye😍😍”. Best place to eat kulche.
Ajit at the brothers served us. He was very polite, humble and gave some good food recommendations.
This restaurant is usually crowded. But it's worth waiting.
All the food items we ordered were super delicious. And yeah don't forget to have the ferni in desert. It is served chilled in earthen plate.
Rates are also nominal. Only thing they need to work upon is their service and the condition of washrooms. Rest everything is fine.
This eatery is on first floor. Accessible by a small staircase. Lots more can be done for cleanliness both of the venue as well as for the restrooms. Food is ok. Service is also somewhat quick. Venue is nearer to the Jallianwala Bagh and hence does not need the full walk down the Heritage Street to cross Ranjit Singh Circle, Ambedkar Circle and then get to the more prominent Brothers Dhaba. For the price, I would say some of the other options would be better.
Located near to the Golden temple at a walkable distance, Pure veg only Punjabi dhaba serves you almost all types of veg recipes.. will be difficult to find your seats during lunch time...Most of the items were served without much delay..
Thali items will serve two adults..
Our recommendations - Sweet lassi, Rajma Chaval, Lacha paratha, Shahi Paneer butter, Dal Makhani
Food is super awesome. Must have aloo paratha, Amritsar paratha and yes, Tea, you will find it very tasty.
Service is 5/5 even though there were so many crowds. Kudos to Nisha for this.
The place is near the Golden Temple.
First of all, don’t get confused this with “Brothers Ka Dhaba” because that one is about 6KM from here.
This one is Brother’s Amritsari Dhaba. It’s located in Golden Temple street market. It’s a good place to eat food.
We had food here multiple times and it’s not very expensive too.
Visited this place recently and tried their Dal Makhani and I really have to admit that it was the best I ever had. The service is really good, cleanliness and ambience is completely Punjabi Dhaba style. Will definitely visit again!
Very good place close to the golden temple. Quick service and polite behaviour of staff. A lady who was running around I feel she should be rewarded timely as she was making it alone for some 5/6 tables. Taste was goood
