Best place for having dinner. I just loved the food. No doubt. If you are a visitor for the first time, must try this place. Highly Recommended!
Bhrawan da dhaba, mist visit restaurant in amritsar. Must try paneer bhurji and sarso da saag with makki di roti..
Haven't tried a better punjabi cuisine than this.
A must try place whomsoever visiting amritsar
Amritsar boasts of the best food Punjab has to offer, for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. So I went in the winters. What's winters without Makki di Roti and Sarso da Saag. The best eveer! YOU GUYS HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!
Had heard a lot about this place. Visited them. Ordered their dal, saag, paneer, phirni and gulab jamun with garlic paratha, churi kulcha.
Paneer was finished in a jiffy. Thei signature dal was not that great along with phirni. The saag was very very good. Over all good quick and good service.
One of the finest food available in Amritsar. Located at heart of the city so convenient to reach. Service was good. Food served was fresh and delicious. Loved the kulcha and chole. Definitely recommended
This is one of the most famous restaurant of Amritsar ,Very close to Golden Temple , Always full of crowd always difficult to get a table , tasty food ,prices are not of dhaba but of an expensive hospital
We went for lunch. The first thing one must keep in mind when coming here for a meal is that the servings are really sumptuous. We ordered special thali for each one of us with lachha parathas and were politely told that it would too much for us. We then mixed our orders and shared. The food is awesome, particularly the chole and paneer. The lachha parathas drip with ghee, so are the other items. Who is complaining?? Lassi is just out of this world. The staff is very friendly and service is superb. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Dhaba is located just close to Golden temple, food is good, specially palak paneer and phirni.. service is fast but price is little bit high...
My husband has visited Amritsar a couple of times. Every time that he’s back, he can’t stop speaking of the awesome food at bharwaan... so when we visited here, the expectations were very high. And we were absolutely not disappointed. Everything on the table was lip smacking delicious... paneer tikka, aloo kulcha, paneer kulcha, Hari mirch ka kulcha, chole, baingan ka bharta, dal makhani, sarson da saag, makki di roti, raita... special mention for the lassi, chaas and phirni... the only thing that disappointed us here was the man how soup (guess our mistake to order Chinese at an authentic punjabi dhaba)... so if you’re in Amritsar and looking for veg punjabi place, a must visit place
Bharawan da Dhaba is a restaurant nearby Harminder Sahib. The menu upholds variety of North Indian, Asian, Chinese,South Indian, fast food and Mediterranean delicacies, thus creating an aura for the people to enjoy the food.During the visit I ordered Yellow Dal, Sarson da Saag & Makka Roti, Amritsari Chur Chur Naan,Paneer Lababdar, Dal Makhni and Dosa along with a few Soft Drinks. The food was amazing, Great taste Courteous service, what else is needed for a perfect dining.
Masala papad was too much tangy in taste, didn't like it much. Also we ordered paneer tikka masala and yello daal with different kind of breads. Paneer tikka masala was spicey and paneer peices were quite hard. The place is always crowded. Service was quite slow due to that.
They serve the absolute lip smacking treats out here since a very long time... There's a lot of hustle bustle in the restaurant... The place is easily accessible...i had their special choor choor naan for breakfast... Their paratha thali for lunch and their chole Kulcha for dinner along worth kheer and firni and all of it was heavenly. A must visit place.
This is one of the most famous dhabas in amritsar, the locals even give directions by name of this shop!
Just like kesar, they are extremely popular, and my personal favorite!
We tried->
Shahi Paneer
Paneer Bhurji
Dal Makhani
Mirchi Paratha
Laccha Paratha
Firni and Special Kheer
Overall the taste was really nice and clean, not heavy on the palate!
You must visit this place, near Golden Temple!
I had heard so much about Brothers Dhaba and Bharwan Da Dhaba that I came here immediately after getting off my train. Following summarizes my review-:
Ambiance- The ambiance is very spacious but not a very attractive one or something. It can fit in large joint families. Nothing bad but nothing extraordinary. 3/5
Service- Service is fast. Polite staff. 4/5
Food- We tried the following-:
Aloo Kulcha thali- It consisted of two Aloo Kulchas dripping in butter/clarified butter. It was yummy nevertheless. The chole served wasn't too great but the Kulcha with dahi was perfect. 4.5/5
Will I come here again? I would also like to try Brothers Dhaba right next to it. This was great and does deserve to be visited for sure.
I have been visiting bharawan da dhaba since my childhood.... They are very good at their work... Food is always fresh n well made... My favourite dish is mix vegetables.. I guess they made the best mix vegetables ever...
Best for breakfast.
Famous dhaba in Amritsar
Decent ambience and polite staff
Food i tried was:
-Special Lassi
-Chola bhatura
-Aalo ka prantha
Overall it was delicious.
Some places are so legendary, that they become landmarks, and must visit places in a city. This is true for Bhrawan Da Dhaba, a legendary place for some great eats.
A vegetarian only place, famous for their kulchas, paranthas, lassi and what not.
Quite recently when i visited amritsar i had their:
Aloo Kulcha: Amritsar's famous kulcha stuffed with potato and o ion filling and served with chickpeas, amazing combo and a droolworthy one too.
Vegetarian Thali: A thali which consisted of Dal, Paneer, Raita preparation, along with papad, rice and onions on the side, a simple, tasty and just so amazing dish.
Legendary places dish out amazing food, that's what makes them what they are !
It is near golden temple. Ambience is ok. But the quality of food is good. We have ordered the Amritsar naan. They serve it with Chana plus bindi rayta and sliced onion. The naan was fully stuffed and heavy also.
But I am not satisfied by there price. We give 120 rs only for one piece of naan, which is of normal size. Its not worth, when you are in punjab where you can get naans on nominal price.
You can here by cash and by card also.
Was very excited to visit this place after all the hype amongst tourists. Food was definitely simple yet awesome (the way I like it).. But the service is pathetic. One would have to wait for long time after placing the order.
Been dere on my trip to golden temple.. Location was good as it is on plaza Only ..AC Was Chiller.. Waiting time was not an issue for me coz The tasty and stunning food was worth waiting which was 15 minutes max in my case ..dal makhni garlic naan and paneer tikka masalA was love with pineapple Raita.
Well before I got here, a whole lot of people told me that I could skip Bharawan da dhaba. I am one who does go by referrals but I didnt understand what the fuss was about.
I ordered the paneer kulcha combo which was served with raita, Chole and onions. It was delicious. Again, the customer journey for me in a service oriented industry begins with customer experience. The host who looked after me was very pleasant although I was visiting late in the afternoon. I am glad I didnt go by people's reviews that this place is overrated.
Ordered Spl Choor Choor Naan, Aloo Onion Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha and Lassi. The Paneer Kulcha and Choor Choor Naan are excellent - a must try. Avoid the Aloo Kulcha. Lassi is decent. Bette than the one given at Haveli in Saragarhi Sarai. The service was excellent.
Been to this place with my family during our visit to Amritsar for dinner. We had ordered paneer makhanwala, butter rotis, dal tadka, jeera rice, paneer thali and jain thali. Food was good. Service was decent. However the place was over crowded. Turned out to be bit noisy. Ambience was okay. Management could have been made better when there is such an overwhelming crowd
Visited this place for lunch today....food was good in taste.....makhani daal had that total dhaba flavor....i ordered kadhai paneer, dal makhani, phirni, veg raita, kheer, masala dosa n butter naan. Everything was tasty. 4star because the service was slow. Overall place is good n affordable.
Great food. Decent ambience. Very close to Golden Temple. We had Veg Biryani and raita which tasted awesome and was very filling. Kulcha Thali was also nice, but wasn't what was expected. Garlic naan and malai kofta made a great combination and was very tasty. Manchurian and fried rice, like any other dish, in any place in Punjab, was a little too much in quantity. One of the best places around the Golden Temple.
Bharawan Da Dhaba's food undoubtedly delicious. There flavours are unique and give significant vibe of proper punjabi meal.
Environment and service was very warm and its a very nice place to start your meal.
If you're planning to visit amritsar do visit Bharawan Da dhaba.
Best Place for Breakfast & Lunch, Close to Golden Temple.
Service was bit slow, but good was excellent, Must Visit Place if u want to have best local food.
Great service, got a table with a great view, amazing service, super clean and hygienic and above all fantastic food! What can one ask for! We ordered for laccha paratha, aloo paratha, pakora Kadi, Baingan bharta and it was simply delicious! Can't find one negative. Full of flavors, made with pure ghee and probably lots of love that's the only way to describe the food. I still can't get over the lassi though, it was nothing like I have ever had in my life and one of the best so it's a must try! The surprise element was the Chinese that my little nephew ordered. He ordered for mushroom chilly and chowmin and he went bizzare, he loved it and loved it is probably an understatement. He cleared the plate so much so that they probably wouldn't need to wash them again! Price wise too this place is super affordable and one can enjoy a nice walk in and around the golden temple post a fantastic meal!
Great parathas served with a load of makkan made my day. If you are near Golden Temple please do visit this place and try the various parathas served by them. Lassi was amazing
Service - 3/5
food - 5/5
Value for money 5/5
Waiter was very polite and helpful, ordered a paneer bhurji for breakfast and it was great albeit different from the Mumbai style. Got a Lassi because why not it was as imagined as well.
You cannot complete your food trip in Amritsar without visiting Bharawan Da Dhaba. It is quite famous over here. We ordered Dal Makhani, Masala Chole and Shahi Paneer. Along with this we had Garlic Naan and Laccha Parantha. The garlic naan was quite crispy and I was expecting a softer one.
Our recommendation - Shahi Paneer, Masala Chole and Laccha Parantha.
And yes, do not forget to order their Mango Lassi if you happen to be there during the season! Highly recommended!!
Visited the Dhaba with friends while we were visiting the Darbar Sahib, we had there favourite Amritsari Aloo Kulcha Thali and Lassi. Really loved the food. Nice place, A must visit place for food lovers.
Decor on point. Food was very delicious. The paneer kulcha thali was great with the boondi raita. The mix veg also tasted very nice. The service is a little slow, but a memorable one.
One of the most hyped dhaba in Amritsar is Bharwan Da Dhaba located opposite The Partition Museum. Because of being so famous, we struggled for few mins to find sittings as it was jam-packed. The service was quite slow as the waiter came to take our order after good 30 mins but it was okay since it was overloaded with people. We ordered one Aaloo kulcha with chana and curd, one veg thali, kadhai paneer, Dal makhni, butter naan and jeera rice. The food was absolutely stunning in presentation and so yummy in taste. My personal favourite being aaloo kulcha. The combination with chana sabzi and curd was awesome. The main course food was amazing as well. I absolutely loved the spices and taste was heavenly.
The service could be a little quick. Otherwise, must must pay a visit here. ❤️
Rating-4/5
Ordered thali with kulchas. We asked them to replace dal with chana which they did. Kulchas were filled with ghee. Dal was also full of Desi ghee. Also got curd with this thali.
2nd item was chowmin. Chowmin was delicious too. Soft noodles we wanted to eat more and more.
However thali was on a heavier side. Because creamy lassi was making everything heavy for us.
Phirni was not available. Would love to try when in Amritsar again.
Absolutely Top Notch food AND service! Most dhabas fair poorly when it comes to the service, but not this one. Their Kulchas and chur chur naan were the best we had in all of Amritsar, better than even Kesar by a margin!
Order delux thali from zamoto, super yummy , I like the packing so much , every one love the food . Specially dal is so amazing. It’s quantity was so good that two people can easily eat one thali .
This restaurant is one of the well known restaurants in Amritsar. Situated on the way to Golden Temple it serves very good quality food here. Ambience is also okay.
Best veg restaurant in the town i must say
I never had such tasty parathas and kadai paneer.
Last but not the least the meethi lassi is out of the world.
It tasted heavenly.

Bharawan da dhaba as the name suggests they definitely treat you like their own brother. Staff is very polite. Tried their DELUXE THALI and it was totally different and mouth watering😍😍. I think there is something unique in water of Amritsar that wherever i tried something new it was totally delicious.
Highly Recommended✅. I’ll definitely go to this place whenever i visit Amritsar Again.
I had shortlisted this place as soon as I had booked my vacation tickets. Located around 250 meters from the Golden Temple. Just super. The places was fully packed when I entered with my family. Had to wait for around 10 mins to get a place. But trust me. The wait was just worth it when I had their Aloo Kulcha, Palak Paneer amd Dal Makhani. I must try if you visit Amritsar.
The Food of Bharawan Da Dhaba truly touches your soul.... This was my First trip to Amritsar and the First place i visited for Dinner....
You don’t have to choose from the menu because anything you order here tastes like out of this World 🌎....
We ordered the Aloo Kulcha Thali
Sarson Da Saag and Makki Di Roti
Followed by Desserts like Phirni and Kheer....
The purest Desi Ghee used in all the dishes....
I ate their everyday till i left....
And My kids who are not a fan of spicy food also loved the food cos they made it non spicy for them....
I would recommend you to visit this amazing food joint....
Bharawan Da dhaba is owned by the younger brother of the famous 2 brothers dhaba which is a legend in Amritsar.
A lot of people had suggested us to visit Bharawan Da Dhaba without fail whilst our stay in this wonderful city which is full of good food!
All the hype is totally worth it. The food here is superb and its highly recommended.
It's a pretty spacious place but it gets full in no time as big groups visit here for pocket friendly thalis.
Though it is old, the restaurant is pretty neat and tidy.
We had ordered separate items from the menu.
1) Paneer makhanwala - a good tasting Punjabi Vegetable. Good portion size.
2) Amritsari chole - There's something really different and special about the chole here and it's something I will always remember.
3) Amritsari kulcha - Traditional kulcha stuffed with aloo and spices, this is one of the best kulchas I have had. So yummy and filling!
All in all, this place is a gem which you have to treat yourself with! Loved it! Highly recommended!
Awesome restaurant. Have had a meal here everytime i have been to amritsar. Though the brothers seem to have now separated and a new brothers restaurant has come up besides the old one. Food is as good as it was the first time i had it.
Pronounced as " Praa - waan " Again, one of the Popular Food Joints in Amritsar. So this time we Chose "Bharawan Da Dhaba" for Dinner on our First Day in Amritsar.
It is Located at Walking distance from Golden Temple and it quite Famous Amongst Tourists and Travellers.
We ordered
1️⃣ Amritsari Kulcha
Every Bite of Lip Smacking Amritsari Kulcha's tickled our Taste Buds.
The thing which Disappointed me the Most was that after we were done with the Billing, the waiter came to Us asking " Sir Kharcha Paani Do". The Management has No control Over This.
While in Amritsar you should not miss going here. I had amritsari kulcha here and it was amazing. The ambience was decent but good taste for sure.
The food is great. Ordered makki ki roti and saraon ka saag. Loved it. The saag was mouth watering. It is a must have. The staff was also nice. The place is huge so lots of place to sit and eat especially if in a larger group.
Food - 5/5
Service - 4.5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Amazing food! Value for money! A must-visit place if you're in Amritsar.
This place serves varieties of mouth-watering Amritsari kulchas along with delicious "chhole ki sabzi" and "boondi ka raita". People who love authentic Punjabi food must visit.
Everything was so delicious that you just can't stop before you're too full. From the yummy Kulche-chhole, raita, makke-di-roti with sarso-da-saag to the mouth-watering sweet "phirni", it was all so heavenly!
Would love to come here when I visit Amritsar again! *_*
I tried their Amritsari Kulcha Thali. The taste was awesome.Crisp and tasty. They serve it with curd and Cholle. They too have pyaaz wali chutney.Do ask them if you visit.
Thought of an oder through Zomato from Bharwan da dhaba as we were tired since it was around 9.30 pm but I must admit the delivery spped and food prepared very quickly..
Food delivery within 15 mins
Ordered famous Amritsari kulcha with curd and Chana/chole
Food was okaish though nothing spectacular
Order was delivered on time however Salad given by restaurant with packing was missing on zomato delivery. Delivery boy should take care of it.
Melt in the mouth paneer parantha😋. The best north Indian food I've had ever! Ghee dripping food and mouth watering taste. Perfect combination.
Located close to Golden Temple, this place is a must visit. If you are looking for some lip smacking food, this is the place to be. After having eaten at a number of places across Amritsar craving for that one place where you can't just stop eating, our search finally came to an end with this place.
Unlike the usual picture that one would have about a dhaba, this place was like a proper restaurant that was extremely crowded. We managed to get a table quickly and ordered for the following:
1. Chur Chur naan that did absolute justice to its name. It was served with chole that was just too good!
2. Garlic naan - yumm as well
3. Paneer tikka masala - delicious
4. Dal makhani - well cooked and scrumptious
5. Aloo paratha - stuffed with enough aloo and melt in the mouth.
Finally we had some badam kheer and I couldn't have asked for a better way to end our meal!
P.s: the food was so delicious that we completely ignored the dirty floors in the dhaba
It is a much talked place in Amritsar for Veg food lovers and certainly ticks all the boxes for its popularity.
It has got simple ambience & quick service. If you are looking for good vegetarian food in Amritsar, it’s a must place to visit. We tried Dal Makhni, Paneer Tikka masala and both the items were really yummy.
We just had dal makhani and naan which was tasty but nothing exceptional. Didn't try much so didn't get the hype!
Service was a little slow.
Hello travellers, I am a fellow traveller from Hyderabad and I write reviews to make your travel easier, you can follow me for more reviews in the area you are travelling
Pros
- Walking distance from Golden Temple and partition Museum
- Can take Rs. 10 sharing tuk tuk
- Aloo Kulcha Thali is undoubtedly the best you can have here
Cons
- No ambiance
- Lack of cleanliness
- The other dishes are not worth trying. It will fill you. I tried Dal makhani, jeera rice and paneer kulcha
Bharwan the dhaba is one of the famous pure veg dhaba in Amritsar serving kulchas , parathas and authentic Punjabi food .
This restaurant was opened in 1912 as a tent and now transformed into a full-fledged dining restaurant.
The food is fresh and not very spicy . Taste is good and the cost is nominal , At an average it will cost approximately 500/600 for 2 people .
Location - it's near the partition museum on a heritage street walk . The Golden temple is also walkable .
Overall a nice option if you are looking for a pure veg restaurant in Amritsar near Golden Temple.
They took their special thaali that includes cholle, paneer, special dal makhani, sabji and raita. But instead had 2 different thalis in place which were very good too.
Maybe they bring back that jumbo thalli.
Desserts were just mouth watering tasty.
Gulab jamun, phirni on point.
My all time favourite was dal makhani point blank period.
Aloo kulcha also tasted phenomenally scrumptious.
Wonderful place …..Food was Lovely …..Everyday a lot of footfall is witnessed here . I just love this place . Firni was one of my favourite sweet dish . If you are visiting Amritsar go for this option for your food . It is nearby Golden Temple (between Railway station and Golden temple ) infront of Partition Museum .

Authentic Punjabi food and good service is all that you need. Super taste of all the dishes we had. It's a must visit place if you are in Amritsar!!
If you are in Amritsar please try the foods of any dhaba. I visited Bharwan da Dhaba. The food is really awesome and especially Paneer kulcha thali. Must try it. I also tried Makki ki Roti and Sarso da Saag and the taste is okayish. But the price of the food is on the higher side. And it is a complete veg restaurant. If you are the punjabi food lover then this is the heaven for you.
This place started as a dhaba in 1912. Now the place has turned into a restaurant with delicious food made in ghee. Visit this place in the afternoon for lunch as during the evening or night you might have to wait for 30-60 mins to have a seat. Must try amritsari aalu kulcha thali and rajma chawal. We had ordered and forgot to click the pictures, but luckily clicked before finishing the food. Talking about the service, it's not as good as the name of the restaurant. They'll take a lot of time taking your order and then again some more time serving you. Also must try firni and kheer of this place. The pricing is quite average, will not burn holes in your pockets.
We heard a lot about this amazing place so thought of giving it a try. Generally there are places which are over hyped by influencers. But trust me this one is amazing! It was very crowded but the sitting area is huge as well. A lot of staff is also there. We had to wait in the queue for our turn.
Food is amazing. Dal makhni was too good. The way the flavour infuses in your mouth is just.. I can’t explain in words. My mouth is watering🤤 even when I’m writing this review thinking of that dal. 😛 Paneer and other all dishes are too good. Nice and Air conditioned. Staff and service is quick as well. Toilets and washing area could improve. Totally recommended. Please do give a like if you found my review helpful! 👍 Thank you!
You'll love the taste of Kulchas and curries here! We had Pannee tikka masala with Aloo kulchas. They were really tasty! Do take some time out to visit and have food here. Service was prompt and staffs were welcoming and even give good suggestions of what you can have!
We ordered Special Delux Thali and Paneer Thali. They have comfortable seating, food was delicious and in my opinion Dal Malkhani was the star of the show. They have quite a few options for deserts too. We ordered Phirni which was great.

The location was nice.
The taste was ok, not much.
But the price was quite on the higher side, small chenna masala cost around 300 rupees and hardly 1.5 people can share.
Most amazing dish I tried was sweet Lassi and Palak Paneer and Dal Makhni, it was so much tast. Restaurant staff was also quite active. Ultimately it was nice place to visit with family and friends.
