Who don't like a place with great tea , kachoris and some light stuff for perfect mornings . A good normal place to have some chill and relax .
It has become a ritual in Amritsar ... if u r going out early morning either for walk orr cycling ... stopover at Giani tea stall is must . From ages they are serving best flavoured tea in Amritsar . They serve the best Kachori in Amritsar.. I love the taste of tangy chutney served with Kachori. Option of breakfast is there - omelette bread , samosa etc . If u visit this place early morning , you will see so many small benches lying on the roadside & people r enjoying tea & mini breakfast there .
Subah ki chai orr Gupshup 👍
This is one of the best places to have TEA in Amritsar. We had kachori also. Many options for vegetarians. It has a great variety of food. If you visit Amritsar make sure you visit Giani Tea Stall
It's a morning bliss . Nice place to have morning tea with some mouth watering snacks like kachori and famous bread butter.
Trip to Amritsar is incomplete withqout having "Badaam Pista Vali Chai" At Giani Tea Stall, Amritsar. The tea is worth drooling. It's loaded With Milk Foam On Top & Lots Of Almonds n Elaichi !
Also try their omelette, bread maska and their kachori. The food is delicious.😋
You will find the place crowded but it is worth the wait.

A famous place for tea lovers, which serves good tea and snacks
I ordered tea, bread butter toast and samosa. The samosa had that real taste of the crust and filling served with fantastic chutney. Bread butter toast is toasted bread pieces with a complete slice of butter . Very basic and amazing. Good crowd around. Value for money. This has a very basic seating, if you are looking for upmarket coffee shop, this is not the space
Loved the tea from Giani Tea Stall, it's a very small joint but it's super crowded from morning till evening. I loved the tea over there, kachori was super good and the filling inside was very different. Butter toast was total yumm ☺️. One can order bread omlette and fried egg also. Limited menu but it's super tasty. Seating is normal and not at all fancy. Quick service.
This place along with gian di lassi are on of my favourite outlets in Amritsar, for tea and lassi respectively.
The crowd gathering here was also large in the evening, and services was super fast. If anyone wants to have desi kadak kulhad chai, head to this spot!
It’s my favourite place. They make the best tea and kachori in Amritsar! I’ve been here many times.
Kachori gets over really fast so you really have to reach very early in the morning.
Here the people after morning walk get together for morning tea and breakfast.
Must visit
We were suggested to visit this tea stall by a local can driver and trust me I am still thankful to him for it. Literally visited this place all 3 days of our stay in Amritsar. The tea is matchless and beyond words. Just the right amount of sugar, milk and tea leaves. Bread butter is delicious. Samosa chaat is yummy, bread omelette was delicious too. The kachori was delicious and extremely tasty, stuffing was just the right amount of spices. The way they serve tea is great too. I wish we could have one outlet in Delhi.
Great place for breakfast.Should be in list of all tourists.
Opens really early, which is a plus point.
Kachori is heavenly.
Go for normal chai.Don't get tempted for that special 50Rs a cup chai.It is NOT good.
Great ambience.
Quick service.
Parking is not an issue.
Overall an awesome Breakfast point.
When we think of the famous food places of Amritsar, Giani Tea Stall definitely comes to our mind. Located on Cooper Road, this is a decades old shop that serves a variety of teas and a few snacks.
I have been to this shop thrice, not because of their famous tea (which is indeed very good in taste), but for their insanely delicious butter toast. Their toast are crisp and have loads of yellow butter inside. The amount of butter is so much that if youbare health conscious, you will faint after just taking a look at it but it tastes so delicious that if you take a bite of it, you will definitely finish that toast and most probably will order one more toast.
If you are in Amritsar, do not miss out on eating butter toast here. However, the attitude of it's owner is not great so i'll deduct one star from their rating.
Visited this place on the trip to Amritsar
Must say:this place serves really great tea✅
Worth the hype created🔥
Tea has a strong flavour of elaichi and is bit on sweeter side🤘🏻
They serve omlette, samoses along with tea😍
Both the food items are lip smacking as well🙌🏻
Worth every penny👍🏻

A good place to have a cuppa of tea and samosa or toast!!
Toast comes with a dollop of butter inside..so not for the health conscious!!Samosa was reasonably good!!
The place is in a crowded place so plan it on a Sunday else parking will be pain or else use a public transport!!
I really don't know what the hype is all about. It is just like any other tea stall in the city which opens up early in the mornings, catering to early morning joggers or sundowners. This place also serves good omelets.
I never had tea in my life still I visited this tea stall, heard alot about its kachori and I must tell you that they are preparing the best kachories it's crisp and it melts as soon as it goes in your mouth.
Highly recommended !
Must visit place whenever your visit Amritsar.
Starts in the morning with Kachori and chutney.. Kachori is very soft and tasty.. full day you can have tea, samosa, bread butter, omelette. I must say that it has something in his tea which makes his tea best in the town.. now uncle don’t make the tea.. but the employee doing it also have a good experience of making the tea..
What a fabulous way to kickstart your mornings with desi cha!
Loved the tea and generous buttered toast but it was the crispy well stuffed kachori that stole the show for me!
Never had something alike nowhere in Delhi atleast!
Super fast and efficient service is another plus.
Duly recommended for the sheer fun and memorable must do morning experience.

Tried their Jhaag Wali Chai. It was very unique as it was loaded with milk foam on top and served with lots of elaichi, almonds and pistachios. The taste was normal. I think everyone should must try once. 😊
One of the most famous tea stalls in whole of Amritsar. Went there on a cold morning of Feb with lots of hopes and I must say my hopes were almost met. Had a cup of Tea along with Kachori here and I must say the Kachori had quite a different taste in which I was not been able to ascertain the ingredients used. It was quite distinct and awesome of all types of Kachoris I had eaten ever.
Downside was I could not get the Tea with Froth and Spices as you see in most of the pics. I just ordered Tea and got the one which was quite good for the morning to start with but not sure if I needed to ask for that kind of Tea specifically which has froth and spices.
A good place to start your day with if you are staying around in the Amritsar.
Mouth Watering Kachori is there most famous breakfast don’t miss them if you visit Amritsar , Bread Toast were better than any toast i had and overall 4 star because the Dry Fruit Chai was just a hype , taste was not as expected but had a nice presentation.
P.S. Don’t Forget you can only enjoy the Kachori here in early hours of morning as it gets stock out early.
This place is surely incredible! The taste and service here is so quick and serves one of the best breakfast you’ll have in Amritsar or moreover in india!
The badam chai is speciality of this place. It’s something unique and surely a heaven for tea lovers!
The kachori’s are surely mouthwatering and the green chatni served with it is what provides the icing on the cake!!
Bread omelette is okaish- had better
And sadly the samosas were out of stock!
But yes a must visit for food lovers!!
Tried this joint during my visit to Amritsar, It was in my bookmarks and had heard good reviews about this place. Visit this place before 8 AM to try their Kachoris along with the Special Tea. The Kachoris get over by 8.
The Special tea had lot and lots of elaichi, it was more than 5 in 1 cup of tea. Milk froth was added on top of the cup and crushed almonds were sprinkled over. Costed around 50₹ but felt overpriced alwith respect to the quantity. Kachoris taste was okay, but what made it special was the chutney along with it.
Dry fruit tea with bread toast was killer (awesome). Had great experience with tasty and refreshing tea in early morning while punjab visit.
Must try in early morning.
This is one of those places where locals go for a cup of tea and quick snacks esp after morning walks. The huge Sunday morning rush reminded me of FC road Pune. The tea here is overrated but kachori was great. But you should go there to feel pulse of the Amritsar.
This place serves one of the best milk tea specially punjabi style . They serve kachori , bread butter and Omelate in the morning and trend of amritsar city is that lot of people specially business man come here for tea after their morning walk
typical tea stall/ dhaba style ... limited options but excellent service ... the special tea is made with pure milk and dry fruits are added as garnishing ... amazingly refreshing taste
SHARE to someone whose day is incomplete without #TEA!
This one is from the iconic Giani Tea Stall #Amritsar. Nice place for morning tea and some light food & snacks. This is the real Indian chai and people call this golden chai of Amritsar. But no parking available.

Oh man oh man i am in love with this place. I always face the problem while having tea from stalls, sometimes i got too much sugar in tea. But @ giani you'll get the perfect tea with perfect amount of sugar. And the samosa was perfect... But kachori was too oily, on the other hand kachori was too soft and crispy... Probably they use semolina in it... If you don't like elaichi never eber try special giani tea...
Value for money 5/5
Service 6/5
Taste 4/5
This place opens up at 430 in the morning and has a constant rush through the morning. The experience is fun. Had I been a local I would have been a regular at this place for sure. Had the very famous special Badam Pista Chai at Giani Tea Stall. They serve bread omelette, bread butter and a very delicious kachori. As far as the tea is concerned, it was good but not the best I would say. I love Kachoris and this one was worth the walk early morning in Amritsar. Went to Giani Tea Stall for chai and kachori. I would rate their Kachoris higher than their tea. This kachori was quite soft from the outside. (Reminded me of Balu Shahi and gave rise to another craving that day 😂😂) On the inside it had some potatoes and a very soft stuffing which was definitely not the usual dal pithi which we find.
The Masala Chai is one of it's kind in whole north India. The presentation of the Chai is enough to get you the feel of Desiness. The price is quite high but it's okay to try for once.
PS: You'll get some amazing pictures for your food blog, if you're writing about Amritsari food 😉
We visited Amritsar in the month of February and had heard so much about this place. After so much hype we had to go there to try their special tea. We ordered 2 cups of tea and were surprised to see the size of tea glasses. It was quit big. Taste of tea was just awesome. Couldn't taste their kachori as we went their around 8 and it was their closing time. This place is highly recommend for all tea lovers.
The tea served here is well known, and I dropped in for it and a snack on the first day of my visit to Amritsar. Very rustic feel to the place, and everything is basic. The tea did live up to its reputation.
We had some chai here. The ambience was no frills but still good. Mainly college people and some old locals came. It is a great conversation place. The samose are decent too.
After a morning walk in company bagh i went solo to giani tea stall..
Had heard a lot about this place..
So took thei tea, breAd butter. The place was good as you could see so many people having morning tea, gossiping after their walk. The tea was not extra ordinarily good as heard but it was good.
Ambience of a tea stall couldnt be expected to be of richness but it was good enough
Would suggest
a famous amritsari restraunt for tea and kachori especially... you need to wake up early to have kachori nearly 8:00 am its over... and it's super tasty...
After having our chaats at Brijwasi Chat, we walked to Giani Tea Stall, it's just on d opp side. Very very old and popular shop, just come near company bagh n ask anybody.
Find a place to sit, waiter comes almost immediately. They make Chai, samosa, bread maska and omelette.
We ordered d best combination of Chai n Samosa. Yummy. Chai is made fresh n served. We ended up having two plates of Samosa 😍😍😍
Wen in Amritsar, Giani is a MUST!!!
One of the must visit place in Amritsar. Do not expect a fancy ambience as most of the places in Amritsar do not pay attention to ambience. But they have awesome food. This place serves special badam elachi tea, samosa, panner pakoda, toast and omelette. Tried their tea and it was really nice. Special mention to the staff, they were very polite and humble.
It's a place u will hear a lot about but it's just a normal tea with normal omlette bread nothing extra ordinary n is a bit over hyped n over priced outlet
Food is good but little overpriced. There samosas, kachire and bread omelette are a must try. Bread butter is overpriced. All the best thanks 😊
This place is epic. If u don't mind the old rusty dirty ambiance, it's an ideal place for breakfast. Serving good tea and bf for decades. The samosas and bread omelette are awesome.
Food: awesome, 4/5
Ambiance : dirty, old, 2/5
Service: prompt , 4/5
Cost : approx 200/2, 5/5
If you are a Chai lover, you can't miss this place.
Chai is good and so is there Kachori & Samosa.Early morning tea scenes are not be missed here as people have their morning tea, outside the shop.
Very good tea and Kachori.
Their kachori is totally different in taste unlike regular kachoris, it’s soft, crunchy and fully loaded with masalas. Very tasty.
Gianni's tea is famous for his Badam Pista tea but according to me it is so so.
Nrml Tea - 30
Badam Pista - 60
Kachori - 35
Varieties of tea. Especially their dry fruits tea is out of the world. Maska bread is awesome.
Super place for Tea lovers. Must visit if you are in Amritsar. We ordered Dryfruit tea and Panner Pakoda. Aah.. haa.. aaaah... It was Ultimate...
The famous place of Amritsar known for Chai (Tea) and snacks served with Imly Chatni which includes Kachori, Samosa, Omelette etc. This place is located near by Amritsar Railway Station and a must try for tea lovers, they have seating space at their shop.
I had Bread Omelette (40₹), Masala Chai (30₹) and Giani's Special Tea (50₹) topped with milk froth & Badam Elaichi at this place.
Omelette was well cooked & tasted great with the Chatni. Masala tea was amazing but Special tea was ok just famous for that extra topping which is for presentation only not add any extra taste to the tea. So, i suggest to go for simple Masala Chai at this place.
Special Mention - It's a Cash Only Place, they are not accepting any kind of digital payments.
Wow !! Worth the hype.
Amazing tea, paneer pakoda is a must try.
Samosa & Bread butter is also very good.
They also have omelette bread.
The besy chai or aka tea ever 👍 you can recommend the way you would like to have whether strong or mild or with ginger without ginger etc etc etc. It has yummazing samosas and paneer pakode too. It's a small and cozy place to sit with fast service.
One of the best chai stalls in Amritsar! Wonderfully spicy tea - a wonderful experience watching the chai wallah carefully prepare, mix the spices and taste the tea. Their masala omelette and chai is a perfect way to start the day!
must try chai... like the chai is just the normal chai... what makes it different is the milk foam and dry fruits on top... and its a big glass of chai so u can order one and relax their
Amritsar, with its vibrant food culture, offers a range of culinary delights, and Giani Tea Stall seems to have carved its own niche in the city's tea scene. The large glass of tea served at the stall is likely a unique and distinguishing feature, providing a generous portion of flavorful tea that satisfies the taste buds of tea enthusiasts.
If you find yourself in Amritsar and in the mood for a steaming cup of tea, Giani Tea Stall might be the perfect place to visit. Whether you prefer a traditional chai or a specialty tea, the stall is sure to offer a variety of options to suit different tastes. Don't forget to pair your tea with some local snacks or treats for a complete experience.
I am tea ☕️ lover and being in Amritsar this is a must to visit place and have a cutting chai with bun Maska. This was immediately after the 4am visit to Golden Temple. It did refresh my morning. Tea was perfect 😍. No parking available and staff is quite friendly

The tea stall visited by stars from all walks of life like cinema , politics and sports.
Famous for their tea, the quality was great with the right amount of ginger.
They charge ₹30 for a cup ( as of October 2022)
Cleanliness can be better but the tea is worth all the hype
