A great place to have authentic Italian food.. their pizzas are nice and wildfires oven baked.. Pasta had a good variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options.

Pizza was average. Must have the tiramisu. Fried Sardines were nice done. Minestrone soup is worth a try. Friendly service

Run by an Italian lady,Basilico serves amazing Italian food. The staff is very friendly and the service is really good. The seafood pizza and pasta are their specialities. Also their signature tiramisu is really good.
High recommended for all you foodies out there.

Have been visiting this for last 4 years. Opens in the month of October and closes in March. I love theirs pizza's, lasagna and salads. We were here on 17th March 2016 with couple of my friends. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The tables were all full, which is always a good sign. The service was very helpful and friendly too.
I was pleasantly surprised with the number of really good options on the menu. The best Pizza crust with the freshest ingredients, the yummy salads and the brilliant desserts allied with an easy going environment.
Ordered for a chicken lasagna, sardine salad, butter garlic calamari and few pizzas. The chicken lasagna was full of flavors, right amount of ricotta cheese, and the spaghetti sauce at the bottom and cream cheese, and mozzarella cheese and chicken and perfectly baked. The salads were fresh and the brown bread was baked at the restaurant. I didn't eat the pizza, but i am sure my friends finished in no time and they loved it.
As I'm writing this review it says the current rating of this place is 3.5. I have no idea how that is even possible. This place definitely is in the top 3 of my favorite restaurants in Goa to dine. Is this quite little place tucked in one corner of the street, which so so easy to miss but believe me, it's a real gem. We had ordered the liver pate which is hands down the best liver pate I have ever had. The pizza which the waiter is only sufficient for one turned out to be enormous, more than enough for two, and very tasty. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a quite dine up north!

I am feeling really excited about writing my review for this place.
For almost all the foodies there are certain places which they always want to revisit and are always happy to have their meal. Basilico goa is one of that place for me.
The love for basilico started for me four years back and at that time there was no Zomato to review this place. The first time I visited basilico I still remember I have ordered veg spaghetti arabiata pasta and I was bowled over by the food they served to me.
With good old house converted in a restaurant basilico is my favorite place to visit near anjuna beach.
It is operated by lady named sussana and the hospitality she gives to the customers is simply remarkable. A good 5 star from me for the service they provide to the visitors.
In terms of food they serve freshly made in-house pizza which are really awesome to try accompanied by a glass of wine.

Apart from pizzas one can get nice pasta options and many other food options which one must try.
I am really shocked to see such less reviews for such a good place.
Place like this is a hidden gem which every Italian foodie should visit.
This is by far a longest review written by me for any place.
In my opinion the best place to visit in north Goa for authentic Italian meal.

Ask Susanna to recommend what you should eat - just her talking to you makes you feel special & hungry. The mozzarella is the best we've tried in Goa, and the prawns crespelle is superb.Aditi Surana

One of my favorite place in Anjuna.. It was a surprise visit to Basilica.. My friend was searching for a good place for an Italian food near anjuna.. When we reached the place it felt like home in outskirt. The ambience was overwhelming... We ordered thin crest pizza and dessert of tiramisu and vanilla cream brule.. Dining at Basilico was one of my first experiences of exposure to truly Italian food dating way back in years 1999 to 2000, during my stay of 1.5 yrs in Anjuna while executing construction of personal residence for a client....
Was inspired by the salads and the delectable pizzas which personally never felt could be made as thin as in Basilico. The cozy seating was enhanced further by the personal touches provided by the owners....
Then due to my travels was not being able to experience the place, as unfortunately could not visit it again during their functional times. But let me mention that this quest made me inclined to try cooking the Italian dishes devoured here and always looking out from my experience had there in the past.
But during my visit to Anjuna in Mid November this year was delighted that it was opening for the first time this season and corresponding to my stay. Happily told my wife Amruta about it expressing my desire to dine there with the full family.. she managed to speak with Suzzane and book the table for our dinner on 21st November 2020. Was thrilled and delighted to meet the owners and thanks to Suzzane, she relived the dinning experience had at her eatery more than 20 years back. To top up our dinning experience the graceful Suzzane offered us 2 complimentary desserts. The Panna Cotta and Creme Brulee were absolutely delectable and summed our dinner.
Thank you Basilico for making our evening so special and making me travel back in time zone of 20 years back. It still stays true to its tradition and service making it the most remarkable place for families
To start with. What a tiramisu. Just loved it, till now best in goa. Pasta sauce was quite nice and pizza was good well. It's outside seating with nice green environment. Would love to come here again. New 2019 review- my second visit. I am giving 4 stars because I would be happy to see if they improve on their service. I waited almost 40 mins for my food later to find out that they missed one of my order, had to wait again for my remaining food . Rest food was good
A red house in the forest, nice atmosphere. Pasta is fresh, made a few minutes before being served, i got gnocchi and they taste exactly as home made gnocchi in Italy, recommended. Fritto misto is delicious too. It's a shame this place doesn't show up on Google maps when searching for "Italian restaurants" Super-sayan level good. Classy.
Cosy garden restaurant. Great pizza and looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! Nice friendly service. A little difficult to find (could be my eyesight in the dark and/or Google), but worth the hunt. Now, it's time for dessert....

From the ambience to the polite staff, the delicious food, the owners homemade Limoncello at the end, PERFECTION is the word!!!
Everything we ate was just so good and made with the best ingredients, outstanding quality and service.
As dessert we had the Pannacotta and the Tiramisu and I can't remember having a better one anywhere else in the world, not even in Italy itself🙏❤️

Best Italian food in North goa
Real Italian good, high quality products, very tasty. Great atmosphere, excellent staff. I had the calzone and the spinach filled chicken breast with mashed potato, both above expectations. Also tiramisu and espresso are how they should be. A little bit of Italy in Goa, warmly recommended.

Some of the best Italian food i have tasted. Enjoyed every bite. The tangyness in the red sauce pasta to the garlic oil seasoning on the snapper to the salt and caramel ice cream, everything was spot on and i enjoyed every bit of it.

The Italian lady is very accommodation and even ready to serve Italian dishes not mentioned in the menu.
She also very generous and offered complimentary Limoncello and chocolate mousse.
The best Italian food in Anjuna or India for that matter. Basilico has a rustic charm and the owners, Selwyn and Susanna are gracious hosts and make you feel very welcome. Excellent service! Great for a romantic date or a lovely celebratory dinner. The Goan sausage pizza, lasagna and pretty much anything you try is delicious! Can't wait to come back!
Everything about this place is divine. The service is fantastic from the time you enter until the time you leave. We had the blue cheese, pear and rucola salad which was delish alongside the vegetarian pizza with extra olive oil, herbs and spice which was also lip smacking. The dessert was sublime - the creme brulee is the best I've tasted with the perfect measure of ingredients and the mini mousse was rich and creamy and all one could consume without the dish being overwhelming. Say yes to Basilico!

Excellent food, friendly owners, nice music. Don't think twice its alright to go there with closed eyes, the quality is constant. Cute place, looks like a Trattoria in Goa.
Great food, with attention to details. Nice ambience, pristine bathroom (with individually folded flannels to dry your hands!), tasty food, and the owner/chef was available to ask questions regarding the food. All within the same price range as other local restaurants, but far superior. Complimentary limoncello!

But we wanted to try ourselves and guess what ... Excellent is an understated work for the most delicious pizzas and starters they offer and that too vegetarian ...
