Sublime lives up to its billings. Culinary skills assume an art form in this quaint restaurant. Dishes are presented in a manner apt for royal lineage. It is just wow in every sense of the word.
A-mazing, was blown away with the simple yet so many complex textures in the food prepped here. The watermelon and feta salad was not something you talk about but the nicely balanced simple dish definitely was my highlight among others. the ambience is great and nestled in a old porto goan house they make the experience very serene.. must visit if you are in goa!
We went there for desserts. The interiors are cool. Ordered three desserts and all were excellent. The warm cookie dessert was my favourite. It wasn't as modern as others, but it was very comforting and tasty. Highly recommend the place.
Great location and food!
We have been to Goa many many times but never tried Sublime. We came here for a "survival brunch" party after a wedding couple years ago. We had a lovely time on the beach which is 2 min from the restaurant (beachfront) and then we sat down to have some lunch.
We tried many dishes from raw tuna, beef carpacio, kingfish carpacio, salads, steak, and their grand dessert ensemble which was delicious! Would definitely return back to this place. Kudos!
I visited Goa for the first time a few years back and went to Sublime based on a recommendation from a friend. Now every time I visit Goa, I make it a point to have a meal there during my stay.
Sublime is the perfect example of fusion cuisine that has been done well. The myriads of flavor pallets, textures, and spices, are perfectly blended without overpowering each other to create a new cuisine of its own. It's a well designed mix of formal gourmet styles with hints of inspiration from across Asia and Goa.
The focus is on the fresh and organic ingredients which create a lasting impression. The first time I visited the restaurant it was located on the beach which created a relaxing ambience that made you feel like you were truly on vacation. It has now shifted to Assagao where they have recreated the same ambience but with a different aesthetic. The vibe is still very romantic with dim lighting, candles, beautiful furniture, it creates more of a polished look than a laid back one as you are eating surrounded by the vivid architecture of the classic Portugese style villa.
Both times I have gone there for dinner but I know that their menu varies through the seasons and also through the different times of day offering lighter courses during lunch hours and more heavier and decadent ones during the evenings.
This particular evening we decided to order the following dishes:
1. Asian Style Chicken Salad Cups; with mint, tamarind, and fried garlic: Rating: 3.5/5
The salad cups looked great presentation wise. The lettuce was crisp and juicy which gave you a nice crunch every time you bit into it. The chicken was also cooked well, not too dry. The only thing that stood out to me was that the marinade was a bit too tangy. It could possibly have had too much tamarind. I felt it needed more of the peanut sauce to balance it out.
2. Dynamite Prawns: Rating 5/5
The prawns were amazing. Perfectly crunchy and fiery in every bite. The sauce was not too overpowering as they had coated the prawns with just the right amount of it. They were also cooked extremely well, soft on the inside and a bit of a crisp on the outside.
3. Sous Vide Cooked Belly of Pork; with chinese five spice, elephant food yam, carrot puree, green beans, red wine reduction demi glaze and crispy onion rings. Rating 5/5
Usually I avoid pork belly as it is extremely heavy but this was anything but. There was an earthiness flavor created from the red wine reduction which was absorbed into the meat making it soft and tender. The belly practically melted in your mouth and was paired with crunchy onion rings to balance the texture of this dish.
4. Emperors Balls with Salted Caramel and Sesame: Rating 6/5
DELICIOUS! Crunchy on the outside and chewy and creamy on the inside. You would never think salted caramel and sesame would go together but they actually the pair up quite nicely. This desert is not too sweet or salty, well balanced in flavor and texture.
Overall I had a wonderful meal and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Goa!
This place is setup in an old Portuguese house. The ambiance is really nice and the food is awesome. The staff and service is good. The place has a very relaxed vibe.
True to its name! After a few too many beer-and-chip lunches at the beach, we decided it was time for some "real" food by candlelight. The encrusted portobello mushroom with pumpkin cream, potato gratin, pesto and garlic crostini was a sensuous explosion of flavors. Sublime also gets brownie points for its wonderful staff, super-friendly resident German shepherds and craft cocktails.
Amazing place ambience service an specially food is just delicious must visit for all in goa this place has grt vibes everyone plz visit soon
Chef Chris Saleem has it all to create magic on a plate.. Meritoriously the winner of times award for the best fusion food for 3 consecutive years!! It was a burst of beautiful flavours in my mouth.. Kudos to this wonder chef, that we tried almost everything in the menu and nothing went waste.. 😊👍🏻 ambience is earthy. Presentation is on point. Taste is 10/10.
Been here with friends after reading the rave reviews about this place. This hidden gem for food lovers has won the best restaurant in fusion food by Times Food awards for 3 consecutive years. Chef Chris Saleem has the true magic in his culinary skills. From the plating to the variety of meat, it’s bang on. If you have ever dreamt of eating or tasting the food plated on Masterchef Australia in your TV, well you may have found a place to make the dream into reality.. you may select anything on the menu n no food will go wasted.

A must visit if you are in northern part of Goa.
Have been visiting #Sublime ever since it was first set up at Morning, at every yearly visit to Goa. Now it's moved to a beautiful Portuguese villa in Assagaon and the good news is it will be open year round! Started with perfectly cooked beef; medium rare starter along with a fig and strawberry mixed salad. Had the very interesting Chorizo crusted sea bass and pork belly for main course. Had some lovely white wine Really wanted to try a dessert but was bursting and unfortunately had to skip. Really good time! Always look forward to my next visit.
Yummy food enjoyed a lot .chicken dimsums were good. We also ordered salmon pancakes and sea bass fillet they were also equally delicious .calamari fries were the best ones i had here compared to many other places
Fantastic food and service. Very high quality ingredients and clever and beautiful preparation. Bira on tap and great cocktails, and a bunch of tables in the sand. Perfect place to spend an afternoon.
Fabulous food, plated like an artwork, tasted divine and super happy staff. I got introduced to this special place as a dinner treat. Such fun!
Also, they have the funkiest lamps ever. Ask for their stories when you visit : )
Truly sublime! Best seafood I ve had in a long time. Chicken dim sum was delicious and so was the baked camembert salad. The vegetarian mains (lentil stuffed zucchini and the grilled mushroom with potato gratin) was super tasty and on point. We also tried the Chinese five spice Sous Vide pork belly which was disappointing. The pork was tough and over-cooked. Another thing that bothered me was the lack of ventilation. At lunch time it was about 30 degrees C and the table we got was located in one of the corners (no where near the fans). It was super hot and this made it very difficult for us to just relax and enjoy our meal... But all the other dishes were so good that it made up for that one bad dish and the lack of ventilation.
It was a long way to go and eat for us but overall worth it. There wasn't much of an ambience as not many people Service was decent but staff looked scruffy with ill fitting uniforms. Also inside kitchen you could see chefs walking around in vests and cooking. Not really a pleasant sight.
Nevertheless food by itself was very good. The prawn tempura was light and well cooked. The baked Camembert with salad was excellent The tuna tartare was also tasty and so was the Arabic mezze. The Bloody Mary was well made and the desserts of chocolate and fried ice cream and bananas was divine. Best part. They served decent coffee. So for quality of food. Top marks.
Dishes out fantastic sea food. The prawn tempura is a must!! And not to forget the excellent spread of deserts. Its pretty clean. However, getting there is a bit challenging.
They call him the celebrity chef Christopher saleem agha
The all day dining restaurant is very nice serving fusion food which is very light
The blue cheese stuffed beef like I had the same at Jamie's but here it was even better
The vegetarian salads are nice and fresh
Calamari was outstanding

Nice place. Little difficult to locate and quite crowded. They serve very different lightly flavoured stuff which is really nice. But the their variety for vegetarians is quite less.
Goa has a huge number of restaurants I feel like from all of them one of them I really feel stands out is sublime.. Not to impressed with the ambience exacept for the fact that your on the beach.. But the food has always been unique and creative.. As long as you have the chef in the kitchen.. On other days it could be a gamble.. Beside that a must visit
Like being invited to a private garden dinner!
So beautiful, the decor. Food is fantastic. Served eloquently and like art!
I hear there's a new chef now.. I hope quality isn't sacrificed!
See you soon!
Ok, so I've been to sublime a few times now, but I'm still waiting for that perfect meal. Chris (the owner) has a great passion for his place and that comes through by his good networking with all his customers, but he's somewhat let down by the staff. Example - on my last visit, I ordered the clams with goan chorizo, but was instead given an assortment of seafood and shellfish curry. Alright, it wasn't bad and it was their last trading day of the season, but that's no excuse for getting an order wrong, especially as they write down the orders. I would go again, purely for its location, but I really think the food needs to step up.
One of the best places to have European food in Goa! The place maybe a little difficult to locate but once you do, you're in for a great time! The place provides a great view and it is located right on the beach! Apparently the owner sleeps on this lofty perch in the restaurant with a view of the beach and sea. Coming to the food we ordered mushroom soup which was excellent with an assortment of breads. We also ordered Mediterranean seafood bowl which had clams prawns and a gamut of other seafood things but it all tasted good with a great balance and all this to go with wine! We also ordered fish and prawn pancakes which received kind of mixed reviews among us 4 but still great nonetheless. All in all a great time was had by big foodies looking for " hidden gems" in Goa!
Ps: we got know about this place because it was featured in one of the India today articles. :)
Serene atmosphere. An unconventional dining experience in Goa. High quality stuff. Brilliant salads, appetizers restricted to mostly seafood but still very good. Both the mains we ordered were fabulous. This place is a must try.
Love this place... The lemon grass martini... the cinnamon apple martini... taste that i find hard to get out of my mind, even months after my holiday. For a true bred non-vegetarian I have to say even their veg is outstanding. Now, to be fair to the menu, I have to point out the stand outs... but then would I be fair the the other dishes. So let me not bias you and just put it simply, this is one place you have to try... forget Laplague... and from what I hear the owner worked in a Michelin star kitchen, and it does show in the flavour.
I recently dined at the best fine dining restaurant in North Goa, and it was an exquisite experience. The specially curated cuisine, paired with a selection of fine wines, created a delightful culinary journey. The atmosphere was truly enchanting, with candlelight, spacious seating, and impeccable lighting setting the perfect mood for a romantic evening with a loved one.
The staff was not only polite but also attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. This restaurant stands out as the best place in North Goa, offering a perfect blend of delectable dishes, warm service, and a charming ambiance. Highly recommended for those seeking an unforgettable dining experience in this vibrant coastal region.
Amazing dinner , the fresh tuna with avocado foam was divine , special dishes of different types of ceviche with multi layers flavors , amazing atmosphere and one great chef Chris who made our experience very special , a must visit restaurant!!!
Step into Sublime, where the essence of truly sublime dining experience comes to life. Nestled within a veranda adorned with lush tropical plants, the restaurant welcomes you with its comfortable and cosy seating arrangement. The interior boasts high-roofed ceilings, marrying modernist design elements with a touch of sophistication.
What truly sets Sublime apart is its unwavering commitment to the best ingredients. The eggplant carpaccio, for instance, stood out as a testament to this philosophy - each bite was a symphony of silkiness and delightful flavors. The pork chops, an epitome of culinary brilliance, were prepared to perfection. The meticulous attention to detail extended to the sides and plating, elevating the entire dining experience.
A standout creation was the homemade sausage with polenta. The dish was not just food; it was art deconstructed onto the plate. The apricot dessert, a burst of juiciness, provided a sweet crescendo to the meal. And who could forget the dark chocolate truffle, a harmonious blend of complex flavors and inviting textures.
Sublime's dedication to using top-notch ingredients justifies the dining experience's price. It's not just a meal; it's a journey through the finest culinary craftsmanship. From the first bite to the last, Sublime leaves an indelible mark, making it a true fine dining haven that lives up to its name.
Sublime is a delightful restaurant with beautiful decor. The food is excellent and of high quality, the service is very friendly and quick. The owner in particular is an extraordinary personality with a lot of friendliness. He is very accommodating and speaks German fluently. The restaurant has the level of a European star restaurant in terms of cleanliness and quality of food. A visit is highly recommended.
Unreal experience , lip smacking dishes. Tuna, sea bass very very tasty !
Sublime exceeded my already high expectations from the minute we walked in. A beautiful setting in a classic old Goan house. Superb service from highly attentive staff. The menu was very diverse and extremely interesting. My sea bass was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The highlight of this experience was Chris, the chef/owner who was so eager to please and so passionate about everything on the menu. This was a fine dining experience that was easily comparable to any of the top restaurants in New York.
A decent, ambient space that offers great food, drinks and organic salads. It’s situated at Assagaon and has guests coming all over while visiting. The food is great and ambience is also nice. I found the manager to be a bit annoying but overall it’s a decent place to be.
By far one of the best restaurants in Goa. Chris is an absolute gem of a guy and a brilliant chef. He makes magic with his ingredients, especially fish and meats. Last night we were a table of 12 people and each person had the most amazing experience. If anyone tells you otherwise, they don't know food!!

Sublime is a combination of elegance but value in food. Chris has years of experience that flies off the plate that leaves us feeling satisfied every single time! OK there is one exception in the 100 times we have visited in that we were laughing so hard we were hardly able to try a few plates of his delectable dishes, and this must be credited to his regulars and relaxing atmosphere ;)
Take time to enjoy Sublime it's amazing;)
I’ve a holiday home in goa and whenever I’m here I make it a point to never miss a meal at sublime. It is the highlight of my visit. Chris is a gifted chef and a wonderful warm human being. The food is a delight to the eye as well as the palate. The tacos the red pepper Parmesan cream the fresh fish delicately seasoned and the beef cooked to medium rare perfection are all my go tos. And a cuddle with max Chris s gentle German shepherd is the icing on the cake !
Truly Sublime. Good atmosphere fabulous food. Love being welcomed by Max a gorgeous German shepherd. The special was perfectly cooked and presented and the apricot desert really yummy
Actually just one salad has turned the rating. But it is a fabulous food place. Please don't expect any music dance drama. Its a dining experience. Do go. Have the Rissoto. Avoid the dynamite. Thank You Sublime
Everything is perfect! Design, food, service ⭐️ Try all the menu, every dish is a brilliant. Maybe I want more mocktails here... some interesting juices mix. But pineapple with basil is my love ❤️ So just come into this place. To have perfect lunch or romantic dinner... best place here
This is an incredible restaurant. The owner Chris is a warm and welcoming host who takes time to explain the menu.
We had a fabulous dining experience here
Dinner was not simply sublime, it was magnificently sublime. Chris catered to all of my special needs/requests with a smile. I just hope he will open Sublime Too in the USA!
