Amazing people and food is the best
Wonderful experience. Loved the ambience and soothing music. Chicken liver pate was great... wish they served more bread. Pizza was fabulous - would love to try more options. The menu is concise - so its easy to pick what you want rather than agonize over lengthy menus as is the scene in most Italian restaurants. Prices are reasonable given the portion size and quality of ingredients. The restaurant was 40% occupied and I found service to be quite scattered.
Overall, it was a nice meal and I'd gladly return!
Best Morzella cheese I’ve ever had
Amaazzzing food! Absolutely yummy. Must visit if in Goa. Personal touch by the owner was very nice to see. We ordered veg pizza and days special pasta. It was authentic Italian.
Ciao Bella has the most authentic Italian dining experience I have had in India. It is awesome, wholesome comfort food for the soul. Great food by a food lover from Florence! ! A must try if you are in GOA.
One of the best Italian places I've been to. Their service was so good, especially for Goa. The ambience is very nice and romantic. The food and wine we had was superb. Overall it's a must visit if you go to Goa and live Italian food!
It’s an amazing vibe here. So relaxed & comfortable. It’s got super delicious food. I am so happy with the authenticity of the dishes prepared, its very Italian. I am gonna stop by and try all the dishes, coz I absolutely love it.
The food is amazing ... loved the ambience! MUST TRY
Nice little Italian experience in Goa. The owner is kind elder man who’s willing to tell everyone what’s fresh and good in the kitchen and about all the ingredients from italy.
The vibe here was really nice.
The starters were all super yummy will order everything again.
Favorite pasta dish the seafood risotto 🤟🏾
This is a seasonal place.
Serves some killer pizza , thin crust , wood oven pizzas , just the way I like it.
This Italian place serves carpaccio, and their carpaccio is soooo good. It simply melts in your mouth.
The panacotta undoubtedly needs to be mentioned, it simply was a star
Looking for good #italianfood in #goa the place is @ciaobellarestaurant.goa amazing Italian food. Never had so fresh BURRATA #burrata #burratacheese . Roast watermelon thinly sliced with arugula leaves and nuts.. it was just amazing. The charcoal pizza was ok , I think over powered charcoal cut down the other flavours of pizza. But on the whole we had amazing dinner. .
Beautiful little Italian place.....perfect ambience. We had the fish in orange and mustard sauce which was just heavenly. The black pasta was not as good though. The pork ribs we tried were amazing too. Best part of the meal- the absolutely perfectly flavoured Creme Brûlée. It’s a must try place for not just its food but the overall hospitality experience 💕
A cute little Italian place. As authentic as it gets in Goa. Run by an Italian, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air in Goa, where one is bombarded from all sides by places serving the same kind of food. Make no mistake, I am a huge fan of Goan cuisine and I love seafood, but this was a nice change of flavours.
Food was great. Service could improve. We were a group of 15, and when there was some confusion regarding what to order, we noticed that some of the staff reeked of condescension.
All in all a wonderful place for Italian food, run by a very passionate Italian.
Been to Ciao Bella over a dozen times and this is hands down the best Italian food you will get in Goa. Personally I don’t think I have eaten better Italian in the country at all.
Maria is a gracious host and his wife runs an efficient kitchen.
A big Italian menu with authentic choices but not all quality. On a one off we were told to go there to try Italian cuisine. What stood out was the guest greeting experience, their owner definitely takes time to explain the menu and what's special there. This helps in cases where we had specific choices of how and what we would like to have. Plus an owner taking time out to greet each customer just gets a good feeling.
Apart from that the ravioli we ordered was average with a lot of oil floating about. Their staff is a bit shy and stand in corner, guess when the service and FOH staff is led by the owner we felt the staff takes a back seat. Their seating has a mix of outdoor and indoor feel under the shed. We were nestled in a quiet corner and it was a plus to have dinner with friends without being seated in the busy section of the restaurant.
The rest of our friends had a decent experience but given more choices I wonder how they will fare in taste and authenticity.
Ciao Bella ... one of the best #Italian food I’ve eaten in india.
Great place , nice food and friendly staff and located right near my house )))
I’d score this a 4.5 but sadly Zomato doesn’t have a .5 rating. Lovely ambience, good food and fantastic music. Small charming restaurant serving authentic Italian food. The staff are prompt and efficient. The owner personally comes over to every table to check on the food. Taking feedback which is so important and shows that he takes personal attention to the food being sent out. We ordered the crostini and a pizza. Both of these were delicious. The crostini could have done with some Parmesan but I didn’t miss it nonetheless. What made the evening spectacular was the musician who was simply excellent. He played some very good music. Great voice. I can’t stop praising him enough. It was one of our nicest evenings in Goa. A must visit. The only area of improvement are the wash rooms which were quite filthy and hence my lower rating.
Excellent authentic food. Everything we order here is excellence ! Pizzas were amazing especially the truffle oil pizza and yes that was vegetarian. We enjoy the food ambience
BUONGIORNO, MIO CARO!
What a fabulous Italian restaurant this one is. But do ask the manager "why the rooster on the logo?"😋 (since there is no such dish really inspired by chicken, one or 2 maybe)
As it opens its doors with a warm welcoming embrace, you sense that your nose and your stomach telling you that your Italian cuisine cravings are most definately going to be satisfied today.
With the unique toppings on pizzas u will never find anywhere in the surrounding or the quality of pasta which is unmatched from anywhere around, This is a must go destination for a variation in cuisine in Goa.
AMBIENCE & THE REST:
It has a nice simple and a clean vibe running. Everything looked spick and span clean.
The staff is polite to a fault, helpful, knowledgeable with the dishes available and on point with recommendations it truly feels that they love to host people.
It has a designated smoking area so everyone can enjoy a smoke free table while enjoying your food.
Good to do a booking even during an off season.
MY CHACHINGG!! DISHES:
1) BEEF CARPACCIO is really good here
If you have never tried this dish before do give it a try because it is a trip by itself.
2) PIZZAS here are really great.
3) PASTAS are top quality too.
4) COCCOLI PROSCIUTTO & BOCCONCINI MOZZARELLA dont get intimidated or get discouraged by the name if it's available it's always a good bet. It was on their 'Specials' and it was awesome. The PROSCIUTTO ham was really great and the bocconcini were too cute. It's a ham, pizza bread & a mozzarella baby balls dish u got to try it to experience it.
NO NO:
Didn't find a fault here.
WASHROOM: CLEAN
P.S.: If you finish all the food u order and not waste it, enjoy yourself while at it and interact with the staff. You may find yourself lucky enough to receive their signature chocolate liquorish shot on the house as you exit which is yummm.😋👍 Happy Munching!
Sunday just done right!!!! I had booked marked this place since a very long time but finally happened to visit last eve. They staff was so polite, sweet and helpful. Welcoming and friendly owner just add the personal touch. THey were so helpful with the Jain options as as well. This place has the best pizza- definitely not a miss if you visit Goa, thin crust and cheese that melts in your mouth. The pasta and crostini was amazing too. We had a great time
Went there around 8:30 p.m, with a craving for good Italian food. Must say, I wasn't disappointed.
The host, the food and the ambience were all amazing. Ordered Bruschetta, Spaghetti Pomodoro(which isn't on the menu, but be sure to ask the waiter) and a 'black' pizza with mushroom and Italian Ham.
Have to say, I haven't eaten such good Italian food anywhere in India yet. The food was fresh and well spiced, plus the service was prompt .
Although the location is a tad bit far from the more 'popular' places in Calangute and Baga, the food definitely makes up for the 10 minutes extra you'll spend reaching there.
Cosy Italian establishment. Lovely decor and a comfortable environment. The pizzas were a tad crispy but tasted fantastic. A must try when in Vagator.
A cute restaurant, with some authentic Italian food. This is definitely one of my top favourites for casual dinners and celebrations. The pizzas are divine - you must try the one with truffle oil (DIVINE). Go with the recommendations by the host who comes by and explains the menu and what's good for the day, and you will not be disappointed. However, the 1 star lower is for the host who also seems to get extremely upset if you want to edit food as per your palate and don’t take kindly to issues you may have with their food. Success gotten to them? Maybe!
But, that wouldn’t stop you from enjoying a fab meal, right?!?
Very nice place. will definitely come back for the pizzas. Loved the dough. we also tried the ravioli and gnocchi and both were simple and delicious. it is a perfect place for diner
Ciao Bella is a beautiful, cozy set up with an elaborate authentic Italian menu. The host is very friendly and gives really good suggestions especially from the specials for the day. The staff is quick and efficient too. We had the iced tea, potato wedges, seafood spaghetti, pesto spaghetti and fried chicken platter. Everything on the table was scrumptious. A must visit for an Italian lover!
If you want authentic Italian, Ciao Bella is the place to go.
Do try the Gnocchi, Truffle Pizza and Ravioli. My personal favorite was the tomato sauce served with the Gnocchi , just the right amount of seasoning and great flavor.
Must visit on every Goa trip !
Ciao Bella is the new Best thing in Goa. If you want to treat your taste buds to some authentic, tasty Italian food, then this place is a must visit ! Top ranking are the pizza’s and pasta’s , but what scored the most with me was the Salmon in Saffaron sauce with the spinach on the side. A very unique dish with taste to Match. They have some amazing desserts too. Prompt service. Its owned by a very amicable Italian and the Indian Manager too speaks fluent Italian, over all a very good experience 👍
Cooking is an art! The chef Simone (not sure if I'm spelling the name right), weaves magic out of her kitchen! I have never ever had such an amazing Pizza neither have I had a pasta so heavenly.
Next time I'm in Goa, I'm having at least two meals here!
Excellent authentic Italian food. Everything we order here is par excellence !
So grateful to have this little corner of Utaly in Goa, we enjoy the food ambience , conversations with chef/owner Mario and the service
Located inside the lanes of Vagator is Ciao Bella, a quaint and beautiful restaurant! Which visitor would know?
The ambiance is so lovely with all its lights and seating that you cannot stop falling head over heels for it. The owner of Ciao Bella was warm and explained us everything that was served on the menu that night.
That night's special was antipasti platter which had salad, zucchini, hard cheese, olives, and more which were served with chips. I really enjoyed the subtle flavour of cheese and the zucchini, plus it was my first all-authentic Italian meal.
We ordered Minestrone soup, which tasted entirely different from all the Minestrones I've had before. This one was thick, had more veggies. Tasted good!
I don't remember the pizza we've tried here, I guess it was garden fresh. But it tasted amazing! Easily one of the best pizzas I had. It beat everything I had in Goa.
So if you're visiting Goa, make sure to add Ciao Bella to your list. Just not worth missing out on!
Located,15mins off vagator, in a seemingly undisturbed and peaceful location, I fell in love with the ambience of this place straight away! Loved the play of fairy lights and white curtains around the private sitting. Very clean and spacious, enveloped in an aura of grandeur and simplicity.
The owner was extremely sweet and helpful with the menu in terms of the authentic Italian delicacies so that we could order a dish that suited our palate the most. The staff is helpful and courteous, too!
We ordered -
•Mashed Potatoes - heavenly!! Served with delicately grated cheese. Must try
•Spaghetti Aglio Olio - This dish is basically cooked solely in olive oil. Loved it!
•Spaghetti Ubriachi - On translation, it means 'drunken spaghetti'. It is cooked in a bath of red wine. Very flavourful and palatable. A must try for red wine lovers.
•Bolognese Ravioli with Mascarpone - Amazing is the word. A perfect treat to the tastebuds.
Amazing experience! I highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Goa and is looking for a lovely italian experience.
Interesting authentic Italian place at Vagator. Pizzas were amazing especially the truffle oil pizza and yes that was vegetarian. The salami pizza wasn't too exciting but my friends liked it. Please have their bolognese ravioli with mascarpone. Totally worth it. Desserts weren't as amazing as their presentation. You can give that the miss. The ambience however was straight out of a fairy tale!
Lovely and Elegant place. I totally fell in love with the ambience and the variety of different lamps.
The food tastes great and the owner is a sweet heart. Lovely place for a romantic eve!
Lovely Place, Great Owner and Heartwarming Food is what you can expect when you go to Ciao Bella. Located in a quiet location , this italian restaurant was a recommendation from a friend. And what a perfect dinner we had at this place. We were in a big group and ordered quite a splendid dinner. I personally loved the Ravioli in Butter and Sage sauce, the Veg Lasagna, The thin crust Pizza and the Bailey's Chocolate dessert.
It's one of the finest italian restaurants in Goa, a must visit for all foodies. Run by an Italian couple, expect some personal recommendations from the owner.
Awesome food, Been there everytime when I am in vagator/assagaon area, Very good italian food. Loved Gnoochi with spinach and ricotta cheese!
What a fantastic place with authentic food. Very polite owner who gave us great suggestions on what to order.
Spaghetti with squid ink is a must try. Baileys dessert was just wow.
Very good pricing too...
Beautiful quaint ambience. Warm hospitality. Extremely yummy & fresh food. The service was great as well . A must go for all Italian food lovers.

+3.5
A quaint yet elegant place about 5 minutes off the main road. It serves one of the best Italian food I've ever had. The owner is very friendly and will help you with order. We ordered the chicken cooked in white wine and the prosciutto pizza. The chicken was delicious; it was so flavourful!. The pizza was well prepared with generous portions of the ham. For dessert we ordered the chocolate gelato biscotto which is homemade ice cream sandwiched between two biscuits. The biscuits weren't that impressive so you might as well order the pain scoop of ice cream. Staff were knowledgeable about the menu and service was prompt. The menu is a bit limited but the dishes are unique and I haven't come across these combinations at other Italian restaurants.
With two drinks, two main courses and a dessert, our bill came up to 1.5K
Located in badem, just 200mts away from pub soro. Ask the locals for the peepal tree and it bang opposite ciao bella
Authentic Italian food. Try the specials menu it changes every day. Pizzas on Wednesday and Saturday only
Nice warm ambience
Excellent food. Really fun and relaxed setting. The owner came to check on us multiple times and the food on their specials menu was excellent. Their mascarpone gelato was absolutely wonderful.
I had gone here with friends on a saturday night, the owner of the restaurant was very warm and welcoming he came to our table and told us about the specials. We ordered drinks a pina colada and a mojito and for dinner a pizza and spagetti bolognaise and finally creme brulee for dessert the food was amazing and totally worth it . Lovely ambiance and friendly staff, worth goinh back for !!😊
Ciao Bella is a hidden gem Italian restaurant located in a serene place amongst green all around... The decor is personalized Warm lit.. It opens only in evenings for dinner.. Every day some specials are available in addition to regular menu...
The owner visits your table personally n explains the specials...
We ordered the batter fried calamari n prawns with rosemary n herbs which was perfect in taste... Rock fish on specials in butter orange peel sauce with mash potatoes was awesum n refreshing... Beef chilly ravioli was delicious too...
Lastly the dessert of the day with baileys was lip smacking yummy ..
On the house the guests are served liquor shots choose from liquirice or chocolate... What more perfect way to end a perfect Italian meal.... Come back soon 😊
Owned by an lovely Italian couple(the wife even cooks and oversees the dishes) , it is one of the most authentic Italian places in this part of country. The food is marvelous, the place is gorgeous and so much heart have been put into every minute detail. The cloth napkin, the leaf kind paper used in the menu..it was all immaculate. The owners host you well and describe the dishes. Being big on eco friendliness, all the waste is recycled and its all detailed on the menu. Visit for an experience like no other.
Amazing beef lasagna... Just out of this world. Italian speciality... If you are used to indianized italian food this is not for you. But if you want to experience authentic italian... You've chosen a right restaurant.
Love this place !!! The best Italian meal ! Loved the prosciutto, ravioli and everything about this place . The personal touch , the ambience , the food ! A five star well deserved !
A rustic Italian place on a deserted road in Vagator. The red and black sign with a rooster as the mascot beckons you in to this al fresco place owned by an Italian couple. The husband ferries his ingredients from Italy, Florence. While the wife Simona whips up magical dishes in the kitchen. The lighting is dim and the service is good. You have either a normal table or a low table in the garden where you can put your feet up and relax.
We were with Rocky and Mayur and so the lady of course knowing them came out and took good care of us. However it was not a show for them. She went to every table and spoke to the people.
We started with a bunch of antipasti. The speck ham on sour dough toasted bread and melted mozzarella. What a dish. The light salty taste of the ham, the melted cheese and the crisp bread were singing a melody I won't easily forget. The beef carpaccio was divine. The raw meat was one of the finest beef that I have ever tasted. The Parmesan was fresh - I could smell the sour milk in it. And the rocket leaves were from her garden. The fried calamari was well seasoned but in this the dip was outstanding. I couldn't put my finger on it but there was Mayo, parsley and some pepper. Simple and delicious.
For the mains we went with fish, beef, truffles and some pesto. The fish was in a tomato spicy sauce. The sauce was rich and thick and not watery like everywhere else. The parsley and garlic along with some Italian Chili were going great with the catch of the day. The beef bolognese ravioli filled with melting mozzarella was hearty and by a large margin the star of the meal. The meat was melting on the tongue and the flavours were the right balance of the tastes. The truffles were mixed with fresh mushrooms in a tagliatelle pasta. The taste was as fresh as it could be. The pesto too was pine nut pesto - fresh basil and true to its name and taste.
We couldn't try the pizzas as they serve them only on Wednesday and Saturdays.
We ordered everything on the dessert menu and trust me everything was delicious. The cakes, the panacotta, the creme brûlée all of it. Cakes were rich and dark chocolaty. The panacotta was well made with fresh mango too. There was a amaranth flavoured cake which was slightly strong but overall the dessert was as good as the mains.
I have not eaten better Italian than this in India. Hands down the best I have ever eaten. Better than Hyatt Regency in New Delhi or Trattoria of Bombay or Italia of Bangalore.
Kudos to the team!
Located on the Assagaon Badem road in one of the village houses. Ciao Bella has a very positive vibe and a romantic setting. Great place to have quite and a peaceful evening. The seating is split into gazebo style at the entrance and regular that extends into the lawn at the back of the property. It is famous with the locals and tourists, on a Wednesday night the place was buzzing with guests. An odd yet incredible sighting, a cow standing at the entrance blocking entry of the guests. As per the owner, she comes everyday as they feed her on daily basis. She stood there patiently waiting for her order ;) By the end of it, when we were leaving the whole family was waiting outside the restaurant.
The drinks menu has the standard line-up. For Food, on the chef - owners recommendation, ordered Spaghetti all 'induja (spaghetti prepared with special spicy salami sausage), Ravioli Verdi Burro eSalvia, Spaghetti alla Chitarra al frutti di mara (Spaghetti with clams mussels, calamari, scallops) , Caprese (Salad), Pesce alla siciliana (with Fish) and Peposo all imprunetina (Peppered Beef Stew). All the dishes were excellent including the salad. The portion sizes are extremely generous, so if you a small appetite, be careful while ordering.
For desserts, we Panna Cotta (Mango) which was average but the Zuccutto was mind blowing literally. It is a semi frozen, chilled dessert made with brandy, cake and ice-cream. It was devoured in 5 seconds flat, unfortunately could not click a pic of the same, we were too busy gobbling it :)
The service is prompt, staff could do better with some training. If I have rate the place,
Food - 4/5
Quality - 4/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Service - 3.75/5
Price - 4/5
Overall, 4/5, recommended. Please note they serve exquisite coffee liqueur at the end of the meal. Lovely surprise and needless to say, it's on the house.
Truly one of the best places for Italian food in Goa, the dark chocolate with ice cream and the truffle is something one shouldn't miss. The people are very warm and welcoming 😊
The food is really nice very friendly staff the desserts are absolute really amazing should really eat here the end chocolate shot at the end is really good something new
We discovered this place on our way to vagator beach and we loved this place. Really good authentic Italian cooked by Italians as this place is managed by an Italian couple. Nice cosy ambience. Must try in goa
If you want to have the authentic Italian food and experience in Goa, this is the place. The owner and his wife are very friendly and they have daily specials. Desserts are a must try.
A word of advice: If you are in Goa, you MUST find time to dine at Ciao Bella. Mario is a gracious host and the food is absolutely outstanding. Never a dull moment when you sipping on a great selection of wine, over-indulging in the complimentary bread baskets and feasting on everything you can get your hands on. It's best to go with people that are willing to share their food, because you are going to want to try everything that comes to the table!Truly a wonderful experience, especially recommended for those that appreciate traditional and authentic Italian flavours. Not for those that add ketchup and tobasco on their pasta.
Highly Recommend : The truffle pasta, any meal, every meal.
Tough to find this place as its kind of a miss a blink space. Located on the vagator road, this place is quite big from the inside
Run by an Italian couple where the wife cooks and the husband himself takes the orders.
We were quite late to reach and hence it was the last order at 11pm. We quickly ordered for :
Lemon chicken
Fish
Mushroom pasta
Cilantro chicken
Gelato ice cream sandwich
Beers
The food came in one by one. Nearly presented and plated, we began digging in and loved every dish.
Cooked finely and with ingredients imported from Italy, the place is my personal favourite and highly recommended.
The interiors are done up classily and warmly in order to create an extreme cozy dining in experience.
The bill for all this was 2500/- which I feel is very value for money, considering the ambiance, food quality and service.
Kudos to the couple and do tell them a hi as they intend to remember you each time you go there.
A pleasant ambience with really nice Italian food. The pizzas are amazing and the pastas are good too. The owner makes you feel at home and helps you with the menu. What makes this place stand out is their specials menu which they change every day.
I always feel spoiled at Ciao Bella. The owner never fails to greet each guest and explain the specials to me. Food is superb, handcrafted and prices are reasonable. Waiters are efficient and attentive. It's well worth the short drive from Anjuna to Badem.
Good authentic Italian food. Absolutely brilliant and personalized service from the Italian owner. Great ambience, the restaurant is set in a old villa in a small village of North Goa called Assagao. Assagao is emerging as a hot spot for some top quality restaurants. I would go back for the service and quite village environment probably more than the food.
The best croissant I've ever tasted! Wow! Is that how an authentic croissant taste like? Just blown away. I loved the ambiance and the lady who owns the place is just too sweet. A visit to this place for your breakfast will surely make your day.
