Jamun Goa not only impresses with its ambiance, location, and service but also offers a personalized music experience. Picture this: talented musicians coming to your table, serenading you with dedicated songs, adding an extra layer of charm to your dining venture. While already a notable choice, these unique musical touches make the restaurant truly exceptional. Yet, a bit of enhancement in the flavor department could further elevate the overall dining experience.
Exceptional cuisine, a picturesque location, and a diverse menu are the standout features. We relished every dish, and none failed to impress, making it the most satisfying food experience in Goa. The root vegetable curry, raw mango curry, and Malabar parota stole the show. The cocktails were equally amazing, with standout desserts like coffee creme caramel and Jamun sorbet.
However, some drawbacks included Bollywood music, which didn't quite match the ambiance, delayed service, and a significant crowd. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this place for its outstanding culinary experience and the charming ambiance reminiscent of old Goa.
Jamun Goa is a renowned restaurant nestled in the vibrant culinary scene of Goa, earning its spot in the top 50 restaurants in India for 2023. The allure begins with its picturesque location and inviting ambience, creating an enjoyable environment complemented by the gracious and polite staff.
While the popularity of Jamun adds to its charm, be ready for a potential wait of 30 to 60 minutes during peak lunch and dinner hours, a testament to its widespread appeal. The service is commendable, showcasing a delightful presentation of dishes. However, despite the visual appeal, the taste falls somewhat short of expectations, offering an average dining experience.
In summary, Jamun Goa stands out for its ambiance, location, and service, making it a notable choice for those seeking a captivating dining experience. Yet, improvements in the flavor department could elevate this restaurant to even greater heights.
Loved the food and the ambience. A must visit place for those who do not like loud music and want to spend time talking with each other. The chef was very kind and took our dietary restrictions before suggesting and changing the dishes.

Probably the best cocktail bar and food in the country .. even better than bomras . The jamun cocktail is the best I have ever had .. their staff is super , Shane Diaz was so helpful, tried the local prawn richardo, my vegetarian wife ate the prawn it was so good
One of the best restaurants in goa. The cocktail "jamun" is the best thing I have tasted till date. Must visit for all looking for a different experience. If you have eclectic taste, this is the place to be.
I love this place... authentic, yummy Indian food is served...if you are tired of continental and desperate to have Indian food, then this is the right place for you...paneer makhan masala and pudina laccha parathas are above par here... ambience is just beautiful and lively with jamun based theme....staff is polite, service is quick. Beautiful experience!!
Deserving amongst the top 50 restaurants in India, great menu, excellent taste, good ambience and decent service. Can get very crowded even on a weekday. In addition to the parking area within the restaurant compound, they also have ample parking space within a few metres of the compound. Loved the jamun mocktail, tamatar ki chaat (my goodness, innovative, never tasted one as good as this), poori and Pindi chole (great preparation) and mushroom xacauti.
Overall Rating: 4/5 - Because of a few of the food items which really missed, I'd put Jamun slightly below Gunpowder next door which focuses only on South Indian Food but has never disappointed me in any aspect.
Food:
Good: Kerala Chicken Stew & Dal Makhani
Mediocre: Palamuru Chicken Kebab
Bad: Chakundar & Amaranth Galouti
Ambience: 5/5
Like a lot of the other restaurants in Assagao, this too was located in an old renovated vernacular bungalow and was done up spectacularly with Jamun colored accents all over. It was delightful.
Service: 5/5
Ths place is very nice and planned well view, only price are very high and less quantity like 5 star hotels. No value for money. Jamun drink is full of chaat masala
Absolutely beautiful restaurant, the food was yummy and the staff were very nice. Will definitely visit again when I'm in Goa. Hats off to the owner and the staff for the service they provide.
A pretty decent place to enjoy a hearty meal with your family. The music is soothing to ears and in sync with the Indian theme of the restaurant. We ordered
1. beetroot kebab (rating 2/5) unfortunately I didn't like them since I prefer a bit of crunch in appetizers.
2. Butter chicken (5/5)
My husband could stop praising it.
3. Parsi Dal (5/5)
Too the point in spices.
4. Phulkas, Malabar Paratha, Garlic naan (5/5)
All cooked really well and smeared with ghee / butter
In addition we relished their chilly garlic achaar. It was served with a complimentary papad and couple of other chutneys.
Highly recommended. Just a small improvement could be addition of cushions to the chairs outside.
Stumbled upon this beautifully done Purple themed restaurant set in a goan heritage home featuring a mix of mughlsi, goan, portuguese and North Indian food with amazing in-house cocktails. Do go hungry as this is going to be a hearty scrumptious meal at Jamun. Loved their jamun puree cocktail, the chorizo paratha was OMG yummm, the beef cutlets with grated radish and warm aloo chat was soo good - perfect for a lazy rainy afternoon meal
Definitely going back here on my next visit to Goa.
Normally North Goa is famous for different cuisine restaurants, but if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine then this is THE place. It was our anniversary and being veg, the children selected this one. We had Jamun Butter Chicken, Dhan Ni Dhaar, Basmati Steamed Rice, Tamatar Ki Chaat, Malai Brocolli, Paneer Makhni, Goan Baked Fish Fillet with Camas Merlot and Bg Crucillin wine. The food was absolutely delicious. The children loved non veg dishes. Home Made Kesari Kulfi was too good. It had both indoor n outdoor seating. We preffered indoor due to rainy season. A bungalow has been beautifully converted in to restaurant. Being in Goa the ambience was very casual and decor was simple but nice. Beside food another highlight was its excellent service. Sumeet and Krishnakant were very warm and friendly. They really took great care of us. Don't miss it...
Loved the north meets south vibe in the flavours of their food.. Signature jamun cocktail absolutely refreshing and the thoroughly enjoyed pappadam served with different kinds of chutneys.. must visit place in Goa if you want to try some new mouth watering flavours
Increíble food and really nice spot!
Spend two weeks in India. And for me is the best restaurant by far. Super cozy terrace and really helpful staff. The place is not cheap but really worth it!!
This is my favourite place to visit when in Assagao.
Love the place and the vibe.
Love how they serve food in copper kinda plates and the staff is very friendly.
Must try- Seekh Kabab, Goan chilly fry with chorizo and poi 🌺
Visited Jamun this month and was very displeased with the quantity being served. And the pomfret was charged 2k for a very small fish which was way too much. Very disappointing and sad to say this about the restaurant I loved visiting every year.
The food serving plates have become smaller and the price is higher
To convey that a hotel is good in a review, you can highlight positive aspects such as excellent service, comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, and any standout amenities. Share specific experiences that made your stay enjoyable and mention if the hotel exceeded your expectations. Providing details can help other potential guests understand why you found the hotel to be good.
Jamun's vibe and food both are great. Everything on the menu is very well done!
The only reason why I have given four stars is because our waiter was quite impatient and seemed like he wanted is to leave quickly. Even after telling him multiple times to wait, he brought in the main course before we were done with starters and we had to send the main course back .
