This place is one of the best finds in Goa for authentic Goan food, if you want to taste Goan thali, along with other fish items then this place is just the right place for you. I ordered local cocktail Peru Meru (guava juice with feni), stuffed crab (crispy outside and juicy crab meat inside) and clamps sukka with Poi and Solkadhi (the best I've ever had). At first thought this would be too much for me to finish it alone but I proved myself wrong, as every bite of the crab n clamps was a new experience to me. The food was an art of taste and I made sure I ate it like an artist with respect and love. You can see it in the pic. I left this place with my heart full of pride for my find and satisfaction with food. More visits coming up, as many more items to be tasted.

Service was attentive and available. Vegetarian curry was very average. Paneer raechado was very good. Drinks / atmosphere was nice. Parking available just outside. Disable access for wheelchair via long winding steps.

Avos kitchen was a recommendation from my AirBnB host and it definitely didn't disappoint. The ambience is very open with natural lighting, earthy feels and as if you're in one big family gathering and the food is home made. The service was prompt and the waiters kept a close eye in case we needed anything. Now the food was amazing, I had the Cafreal Prawns which was really delicious especially the extra gravy they gave. But the highlight dish there was the Fish Thali, traditional to the core and so tasty to every bone. I've never had muscles before but I enjoyed every bit of it the way it was cooked. Not a single item on the thali felt it wasn't needed and was super tasty! Definitely one of the best places to have an authentic Goan Fish Thali!

The place is very good for authentic goan food. We ordered motails:kokumito and spicy passion. For starters: prawns rissois, mackrel cutlets and mains:prawns bhiryani and for dessert we ordered serradura. Their star of the dish was prawns rissois which was very delicious. However bhiryani was a letdown for me, too much butter overpowered the dish. One should go for their goan cuisine.

Good Goan food paired with fantastic service. Yet to get this level of thoughtful service anywhere in goa. Perfect place for families to sit in a comfortable open and airy place with excellent fans and air coolers.

Went there for the thali, it was just like at all other places, though. Nothing different or outstanding. Tandoori pomfret was also average. The chicken dishes were good.

Visit this restaurant in the small village of Assagao for delicious Goan cuisine, a pleasant ambiance, courteous service, and light music. And, as the name suggests, it's grandmother's kitchen, so you'll feel like you're eating at home. Stuffed Crabs, Prawn Forminhas, Kismoor (Dried Prawns), Goan Fish Thali, Prawn Curry, and Serradura are all must-tries. To beat the heat in Goa, try their feni cocktails. There is also plenty of parking and this place is wheelchair accessible.
