Restaurant near Baga beach on riverfront and part of Hotel Acron Waterfront. The menu is quite good for breakfast and for the dinner go for La carte. The staff is courteous and the service is quick. They have an outdoor as well as indoor seating arrangements. Try local delicacies which are made well by their chef.
This place has an amazing set of à la carte option.
The mushroom ravioli is simply finger licking good. The beef tenderloin is a little chewy but the gravy and the caramelized potatoes and yum.
In dessert Spice Dark Chocolate is something that you need to try.
Did visit here for the breakfast and it was worth the money.
Extremely good service as compared to the other Goan restaurants.
Pocket friendly too.
Do try

One of the best place i have visited. Awesome food.. Great location... Friendly and helpful staff.. Live music...breakfast and dinner buffet with great variety everyday..Everything was just too perfect especially when I was travelling with my baby for his 1st birthday. And this place made it really a special memory.
We were staying in this hotel and would definitely recommend as one of the descent, classy and serene place to stay.
Thanku team Acron for making our stay comfortable and memorable. U deserve all the appreciation.
Nice place. Full marks for the ambience, location (next to the river) and live music in the evenings. Food was great too. We stayed on the property but even if you are not and need a break from the usual hustle bustle places, drop by for sure. We were staying on the property though which was pretty cool. A huge shout out to the staff. Especially Nirmala & Gautam who go out of their way to make you comfortable and put you at ease.
Recommend buffet dinner here.
We had Dinner at this place several times, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food there. I have put a list of items below, which we enjoyed the most.
- Akoori with Goan Poi (Loved the local Goan bread (Poi) with the parsi scrambled egg specialty) (Must try during breakfast)
- Malai Brocolli
- Penne with Pesto, roasted bell peppers, and caramelized onions
- Dum Veg Biryani
- Fish Recheado
- Chicken Afghani
- Spaghetti pasta and other plates of pasta
- Goan mixed sea-food curry
- Goan chilly and garlic chicken
- Vegetable money bags
- Kalakand
- Lemon chicken
and many more dishes...
We did not stay at the property, but just visited the restaurant for dinner. The setting is lovely, overlooking the river. We reached when it was dark already - so missed some stunning vistas. But well, we will see those another time. We sat outdoors comfortably - especially because it started pouring & the temperature cooled down significantly.
Since we were not very hungry, we jumped straight to main-course & ordered a Vegetable Xacuti. It was served with a generous portion of rice. There were a lot of vegetables in it as promised. The flavour was good too.
The dessert was a surprise - we were excited to try the Goan Coconut Pancake. Our excitement was worth it - the pancake was yummy! Would order it again.
The ambiance was good - there was a singer performing - often indulging guests with their requests. A happy vibe!
This restaurant is too beautiful, we wanted to sit by Riverside but it was only for the hotel members I guess. But the indoor sitting was also good.. well let's start with the food we ordered crab meat salad, chicken noodle salad, non veg platter, martini, guava spiced, watermelon mocktails. The salad were fresh in taste, but the quantity in nonveg platter was less, as we told them to replace lamb meat by chicken or seafood. Even then the quantity was less, taste was good though. In main course we decided to have some Indian food like roti sabji, we first order Murgh Malai Tikka, which was so delicious, still remember the taste of that beautiful dish. Secondly we order Butter chicken which the gravy was too watery, also was not that good compare to our first dish. Let's talk about the service now, I've Never seen anyone having such wonderful hospitality, Rajesh helped us in ordering our menu and Harish was serving us, both were really likable, specially Harish, who was very munificent. Would love to visit again.
If you want some tasty food and a splendid coffee to go with it. I don't see a place better than this.
With a view to kill for this place is truly amazing be it service or presentation.
If you happen to be here during lunch or dinner do not miss their biryani.
For breakfast I definitely recommend the egg Benedicts and parathas.

Very good restaurant, nice food, very warm n welcoming staff and the rates are very reasonable.
Location is good, live music, clean and we'll maintained ambience.
Bang On !! Be it Ambiance , Food , Service.
Riverside seating with beautiful views of the Baga River and the Arabian Sea at a distance.
Efficient Service , prompt to attend and attentive to needs. Staff is polite and courteous.
Live Music , what else do we need.
Big name like Cyrus Todiwala never lets u down, taste portion and presentation were all perfect and made long lasting impression on the taste buds.
We chose this place for our anniversary dinner n we are completely in awe of the food ambience n the hospitality of the staff.. we will surely visit this place again whenever we visit Goa the next time n I will definitely suggest this place to my friends..
Chef George take a bow. Chef Cyrus you have trained your guys well.
Had a lovely meal completely on chef's recommendation and the flavors were just right.
My wife and daughter are vegetarians and I am a non vegetarian - fact which didn't make a difference to chef. His recommendations were spot on and food was heavenly.
Sea food broth, Goan fish Curry and rice with a side of Rava fish and chocolate mousse.
Clear veg soup, paneer grilled with vegetables, gulab jamun and rabri.
Also had lunch here a couple of times (as we were staying at the resort) and the regular Menu also scores a 3.5-4.0/5.
Ask the team for recommendations and the chefs are always ready to come chat as well.
Ambience - super! Riverside seating with beautiful views of the Baga River and the Arabian Sea at a distance.
Service - efficient, prompt to attend and attentive to needs. Staff is polite and courteous. The FNB Manager Mr. Sudesh and his team do a great job. Authentic local as well North Indian food

Since we were staying with Acron.. Decided to try out the appealing dishes in menu one fine day..
The BBQ pork spare ribs were cooked to perfection and super yummy
I loved The prawns caldin with rice.. Perfect blend of flavours
The chocolate mousse was creamy and lip smacking..
Day 2... We were too tired to go out for dinner so again ordered from room menu..
One was Macrel Parmesan dusted to start of which was crispy yummy
Mains was pulled assado of pork with Goan rice - was wonderful spicy
King prawns with coucous was fingerlicicious..
Days 3 we tried the beetroot Rasam soup which was too too yummy... One of signature dish
Aling with mutton rolls for starters was tastefully done..
Sweet temptylucious was Chocklate warm cake with chocolate ice-cream..
Every time we ate here... Every single items was prepared to perfection 😊
Ambience - super! Riverside seating with beautiful views of the Baga River and the Arabian Sea at a distance.
Service - efficient, prompt to attend and attentive to needs. Staff is polite and courteous. The FNB Manager Mr. Sudesh and his team do a great job!
Food - is where the big name like Cyrus Todiwala lets you down. Portions are big. Presentation is creative. Taste takes a big beating. Apart from noteworthy mentions like Amritsari Fish, Grilled Tiger Prawns Chermoula, Beef Samboosa, others fail to make a lasting impression on the taste buds. If only the high price point and excellent service was backed by finger licking food, this was a sure shot five stars!
Price - expensive averaging 2000-2500 per head with a glass of wine.
Alas, if you're reading this Mr. Dodiwala - celebrity status can carry you only a short distance without the food actually tasting that good!!
This restaurant has everything going for it - Great location, Awesome service and some lip smacking cuisine...Sudesh Shetty and his boys Satya, Suraj and Mehboob have taken service at a diff level...And Cyrus Todiwala does magic with his cuisine...Be it the pork chops, beef tenderloin, chicken cafereal, Egyptian style grilled prawns, the Goan pancakes, the grilled red snapper...Whatever you try it comes out lip smackingly good...
Excellent food set in an idyllic location on the Baga confluence with the Arabian sea. The sea food dishes are delectable and each of the dishes will leave a distinct lingering taste on your taste buds. I have tried several fish dishes while I was staying here and each one was prepared to perfection. The prices are also very reasonable. A must try if you are in the Baga area.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the resort for 3 days and we were very keen to try out the restaurant after reading and hearing so much about it on various sites. Considering we are both foodies but we don't like it when food is served in way too much per person, this place seemed near perfect at that point. The staff is so friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to advise you about what to try. Looking for authentic goan sea food to exotic Portuguese cuisine it's all there! Special mention to them for that. Not forgetting the must try coconut rasam soup. OMG I'm not usually a fan of coconut but this was delicious. Foodgasm right there! 😛 defo would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to eat around Baga. Oh well and they have pretty amazing lighting! All in all 4.5
Stayed at the resort.
The breakfast is served piping hot and fresh. I had a bit of a tummy upset from the roadside food I was hogging. . I must say the restaurant prepared fresh upma for me and it was just yum that I ordered one more portion. Also the waiter named Chinmay offered my some lime water it was super for my tummy.
The other people I would like to thank are Sooraj, Mehboob, Raymond, Kalyani everyone and everything about this resort is great.
Have stayed at Acron waterfront resort so obviously got the opportunity to have breakfast, lunch dinner. The breakfast was piping hot, be it Aloo paratha, usal pav, chole puri etc.... Cant forget the yummy taste of muesli.... Now comes the lunch and dinner. Be it starters, north Indian food or goan food or be it a simple home cooked chicken curry .... Everything made to perfection. The best is the chef himself meets the guest and ask them if they want him to cook something different ......overall memorable stay and great food. :)
Amazingly good food specially North Indian. We had some very good vegetarian dishes of okra daal chana etc and their fish and chicken starters are good too. Very pricey though considering other places in Goa
You drive up the road from Candolim towards Baga. The twists and turns and then into the main Baga beach area. Cross the main parking and go towards Baga bridge and you will find the Acron Waterfront Resort at the end of the bridge.
A very nice boutique stay option, I am told it offers people a sea view, river view and a garden view room. All that is good and I am sure we will have a great stay....but what about the food? We were told about Chef Cyrus Toddywalla OBE and his passion to create a different menu, based on some goan themes but further customized to the customers taste. Thus The River restaurant was born.
This is where we decided to head for lunch. A smallish restaurant with a total cover of about 30-35 customers, the ambience is kind of contemporary with greyish painted notes on the decor and this even extends into the restrooms.
Their manager Sudesh does a good job of telling us the reason how this all started and how Cyrus is still busy setting up some restaurants in Northern England. The menu is very inviting and the Chef comes out to help you with choosing your dishes.
Overall the restaurant is a mixed bag. We actually go in with a lot of expectations and maybe while the left hand hits the mark, the right hand kind of wanders away confused. The appetizers of paneer served was fantastic, the tandoori flavors and the sauces pronounced by the freshness of the green chutney that was served. However some of the grilled prawns as well as the chicken dishes kind of announced the taste but did not follow through on the spice hit. I found the paneer good but...would I have found the same tastes elsewhere...of course yes!
Now for the gnocchi....was prepared well however we found the cream and the cheese over powering. We have seen the gnocchi to be very light and a sauce that you could add to enhance the flavor but here it was gnocchi in white sauce almost.
The veg xacuti curry however did not disappoint us. The flavors came through and was a perfect compliment to the goan rice that we ate with it.
For desserts we had a chocolate mousse with mango pieces.....could not go wrong there but the 'jamun' reduction served on the side provided a great acidity and helped cut the sweetness through.
Overall i must say that Acron The River restaurant has all that it takes to charm you into eating 3 meals at that place but Cyrus needs to lend a hand and mentor the menu and the tastes so the restaurant really delivers on the promise of this 'spice man'!!
Very few restaurants in GOA can paint your pallet like they do at the river restaurant! Mr. Sudesh is one of the funnies guy you will meet in Goa! Their Sunday bbq is tasty, must go for couples!
Breakfast was out of the world! A very rich and an amazing experience. The waiters are very patient and cordial. Bircher Muesli is a must-try delicacy. But, hold your horses and have a light breakfast because you don't want to miss out on the scrumptious tailor-made lunch by the chef who's ultra friendly and cooks as you like it. One of the best restaurants I've been to in Goa, located at a place second to none!
Loved staying at the property and enjoy the food through this restaurant.
On our last day we ordered the Goan Veg Thali that was very delicious with different items that we loved and actually asked the waiter for some extra rice and curry and they obliged even though this was a limited thali.
Person the only thing I didn't like was the drink but then you cannot like everything you try right ;)
They have an amazing breakfast buffet options.
Top quality food with very good prices
Astonishing view of the river but mind the mosquitos. Very friendly staff who make a perfect dining experience
Delicious food and best service, very friendly staff. Food quality and taste is amazing
I love the dishes of this restaurant, especially the Western-style dishes. The pork ribs and BBQ Tiger prawns are my favourite dishes. The dessert of mud cake and cheesecake are my husband's favourites. This resturant is highly recommended.
Great dishes we had fish and prawn curry, vegetarian biryani, pomfret grilled, Cesar salad, noodle salad, omelet Masala, Goan coconut pancake and mud cake. We tried to eat out but didn't enjoy the other places as much as this restaurant. Highly recommended!! Thank you to the staff's for taking care of us. Rashell and Paul
