Bombil fry was perfectly cooked and was not so watery. malwani, goan and south Indian sea food delicacies on the menu. perfect for family. bit higher on budget side but I can pay for such a good food.
Jai Hind lunch home is a coastal food restaurant which is specialised in sea food. Amazing range of fresh seafood preparations made according to your preferences. Bhareli bombil, bhangda pulimunji, clams sukka and prawns butter garlic are some among them. I frequently visit here with my family and friends.

If you love fish and prawns. Jai Hind Lunch Home is the place to be. The surmai fry and basa fry are the best. The fish curry can be savaged with some Neer Dosa's. You will never regret this combination. They even serve some solkadi. Delicious is an understatement since they are located in the prime location. Somedays the place gets crowded and that's what I can say. For the love of good food and fishes. People will definitely go that extra mile.
Decent and good place for family dinner
Awesome seafood good service and very homely polite and friendly staff.
Excellent and super fast service given here.

Tried it for the first time and really enjoyed the spread. Had the surmai thali. The surmai fry piece was quiet big. Staff is courteous. Ambience clean and neat. Sol kadi is preservative based (I presume). Overall very nice experience and taste wise very good. Will surely recommend to others to try their delicacies.
My first time at Jai Hind,
Very prompt service by the very friendly staff! :)
Loved the bombil fry and surmai fry a lot
Will surely visit again.
Thank you very much for the yummy food and great service đ
Good place to have seafood... Pomfret tandoori fry is dam tasty. Nice ambiance. Short of space. Hence que and need to wait for our turn. Nice place to visit with family for seafood lovers..
This place serves amazing, delicious non veg food. So If u r craving for sea food this is the best place for all seafood lovers. We had ordered Surmai thali, Surmai fry, Prawns fry n Bombil Fry. All the dishes were well cooked n fresh. Even the mint chutney served along with these was also really tasty. Loved its Solkadhi which was thick n tasty. All in all a great place to visit. Best malvani n goan food u can get over here.
What to say. Amazing malvani food served with love. Crab& surmai thali was simply lipsmaking. I ended up finishing my friends plate as well. This is a very small joint hence expect waiting. Value for money with great service. Waiting for another opportunity to get feasted.
This place serves amazing non-veg food, especially seafood (Malwani cuisune). I am a regular at this place and whenever I come here I always order Bombil Sandwich, Prawns Thali, Tandoor Pomfret and Sol Kadhi.Â
1. Bombil Sandwich consists of prawns, onions, green masala sandwiched between 2 layers of bombil and it is one of the best starters on the menu.Â
2. Prawns Thali consists of chapatis (You also have the option of bhakri or neer dosa), prawns masala (Or Prawns sukka), dry fish with masala, rice, papad, one bowl each of fish curry and sol kadhi. The prawns masala contains the right amount spices which just gives it the perfect malwani taste.
3. Sol Kadhi is the perfect drink to have with any type of seafood. It combines well with other menu items.
4. Tandoor Pomfret was very juicy, tender and full of taste. Hands down one of the best dishes ever.
This place is a must visit for any seafood lover.
Of it is fish it has to bee this place the tiger prawns and the chicken kebab
The best is the chutney they serve it with
Amazing
I still remember hopping on this place during my college days when we friends used to visit mount Mary and honestly I wasnât a die hard fan of Malwani cuisine back then so we usually used to order starters, solkadhi.
Visited this place almost after 5 years with pure intention of trying out only seafood served over here as jaihind is very known for its fish thali and malwani cuisines.
Weekends are Extremely crowded but the staff is pretty quick so donât worry about the waiting saga.
Neat and clean restaurant, very hygienic and courteous staff.
Parking definitely is an issue so better to come by cab.
What we tried:
đ´ Prawn sukka thali - Fresh medium sized prawns cooked to perfection with fresh cocconut based masala extremely delicious and highly recommended đ
đ´Surmai fry thali - fried big slice of surmai which could have been a bit more spicy and crispy but fish was very fresh.
đ´Prawn stuffed Bombil starter - Star of the entire showđ
Small prawn prepared in mild masalas stuffed inside bombil and rolled into tubes, coated in rawa and some spices and deep fried until nice and crisp. Itâs amazing. We repeated our order for this particular dish. Itâs that goodđ
đ´Neer dosa - Extremly thin, soft piping hot and divine.
đ´Solkadhi - Though I find it a bit tangy then usual but was very refreshing.
All thalis mentioned above was served along with a bowl of dry prawns sabji, solkadhi, fish gravy, a portion of steam rice, onion and spicy rice papad.
You have option of ordering your thali either with chapati or bhakri and if you want to replace it with beer dosa then you have to additionally pay 30âš per plate.
Overall we had a great experience and definitely going to visit again to try out their other delicacies .

We visited this restaurant for a Friday lunch. With lots of people waiting to relish food, be there before time as waiting is obvious for this place.
To talk about food you can try any of their thalis. We being group of 8 people tried Surmai fry, Bombil fry, Tisrya masala thali along with either Wade, Bhakari or Chapati. We took sol kadhi seperately, so it's a whole glass of sol kadhi to relish upon. Thali was scrumptious, and would crave you to have more.
Surmai tawa fry, Rawas fry, Bombil fry, sol kadhi is a must have. Crab flesh tossed with garlic and buttter was amazing.
Advantage to go with a bigger group, you get to try so many dishes. â¤ď¸ Surly do visit I'm sure a core sea food lover gonna relish their meal.
If you want to have complete fish or any non vegetarian meal then this place is one of the best. We had surmai thali, prawns fry thali and chicken thali and we shared it. We tried it with bhakri which was well prepared and hot. And chicken was with kombdi wade, tasty but little oily. Both the fish thalis were served with fish curry. Prawns and surmai were crispy fried, chicken was tasty and spicy.
All three thalis were served with kokam kadhi, poha papad and mirchi thecha. It was a fulfilling meal. At the end we had caramel custard to have a perfect end.
The hotel not spacious, it's a well moderate place and crowded during meal times. The staff was very courteous and they served with warmth. Service was quick
It is situated at western express highway so easy to locate at Bandra.
And must go with empty stomach!
This small eatery is unlike other fish places which strongly stink of fish all over. The food is prepared fresh so you might have to wait a bit especially over the weekends. Portions are small but the quality is very good. I tried bombay duck stuffed with prawns. Will try more stuff next time.
THANKYOU for such an amazing experience!!!!
Mr. Jay Singh Desai gave lovely suggestions which we didn't regret, he definitely deserves a tap on his backâşď¸
Also talking about the food it was delicious
This has to be one of my favorite places to fulfill my fishy cravings,
We had the Basa Fry and The (Overload) Chicken Platter
With Murgh Tikka Gravy And ShellFish Biryani overall it was mouth watering â¤ď¸
Also the staff was very kind and friendly
Would definitely go back as I'm in love with this place and the food đ
I big thumbs up to this place. So guys if you are craving for some authentic fish thali do visit this place. I ordered 1 surmai thali and prawns fry. To my surprise, surmai fry in the thali was considerable huge and tasty. Also the mint chutney along with prawns fry was a delicious combination. Thank you Jai Hind for making this a memorable experience.
I know the menu of my favorite seafood restaurant by heart! I've visited 3 of their restaurants and they are more or less the same, only I find my self visiting the Bandra East outlet very often because it's really close to home!
I have tried almost every dish from their sea food section and each one is better than the other. If I had to pick my favorite combination it would be prawns hirva masala with neer dosa. The seafood thalis, that come with your choice of fish, are usually served with some gravy, sol kadi, papad, thecha, jawala, chapati/bhakri/neer dosa and rice. Bombil fry and stuffed Bombil are just yum yum. Oh, they have live crabs too. I've tried that, once tandoori and once butter garlic. Both perfect but a tad bit expensive.
Over all Jai Hind Lunch Home is a fabulous restaurant. The sea food is always fresh, it's not very expensive (unless you go for live crabs or the big catch), the staff is very polite and attentive.
The restaurant is not very big, tables are set close and it can get really crowded. But then again, with such delicious food, the restaurant sure is a crowd puller!
This Restaurant Serves Amazing Food!!Highly Recommendedâ¤ď¸

This is a perfect place to enjoy some delicious fish dishes on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
The fish thali was too good.
The piece of Surmai fry was cooked to perfection and so were the prawns.
The pomfret was nice and tender and most importantly fresh. For all the fish lovers this place is a must visit.
The restaurant is very small. But the taste is really good. It's the best place to have lunch after endless shopping on bandra road. The fish thali is really taste, cooked in coconut style curry. Also the chiken sukka is very yummy. At the end do try the caramel custard. It is so well made that I had to force myself to wat two. Staff is co operative too
Nice Malvani Food. Sea Food is Damn good. Seating is also nice and the waiters were well mannered and understanding treating customers as guests. I had Surmai Thali. Loved the taste. Totally worth it.
The place is must go for seafood lovers. Great place for testing authentic seafood dishes. Dish recommendation would be Prawns and Tisrya Thali. Located near Bandra East highway.

We had an office lunch and was considering all options available nearby... one of our collegues suggested Jaihind.. We went reluctantly as none of us had been there earlier..
But what an excellent choice.. All of us ordered Surumai Thali.. We also ordered a Pomfret fry..
While waiting for our food we had Kokum sarbat..
The surumai Thali had a huge bowl of Surumai curry. The Surumai was very fresh.. the gravy was full of flavour and consistent.. They give Bhakri and rice alongwith the Thali.. there was a small bowl of kokum in the Thali.. and a two accompanyments.. one dried shrimp crushed chutney and second second a green chilly and shallot(? ) chutney..
The pomfret fry was so big that six of found it difficult to finish it..
The food was extremely good.. fresh authentic.. service was also goid and quick..
Iam sorry that i forgot to take any pictures as i was busy eating..
I strongly recommend this eatery to anyone who likes good coastal food..
The place is amazing for seafood i had a fish like surmai tawa fry
The surmai tawa fry is resonable and very tasty

Located on service road Besides Western Expree Highway and slightly ahead than Highway Gomantak restaurant is a hidden gem for non veg lovers.Ambience suits for family centric guest no fancy stuffs but at the same time elegant. We ordered deep fried stuffed bombil which they call as "Barlela Bombil"-u get 2 pieces of prawns Masala wrapped around bombil fry.Something different than normal fish fry.Definately worth a try.For main course we had Mutton kheema which was one of the best Mutton kheema I ever had. Also we ordered Chicken Sagoti which was disappointing. We then moved on to Chicken Tikka Biryani which I can say for sure is one of the unique chicken biryani I ever had.And we ended with Sol kadi which was refreshing after the delicious lunch.definitely worth a try and worth visiting again
Jai Hind Lunch Home a very well known place for its seafood dishes. And i must say they have finest seafood dishes with resonable rates. Best place to be for all the seafood lovers, finger licking delight. They have fresh fishes and well cooked which is what every seafood lover looks for. As they have many branches i would suggest to all non vegetarian foodies to visit this place. Must try is Crab and Bombil Thali but yes even others dishes are good.

I have eaten at Jai Hind atleast 15-20 times (either at the restaurant or through home delivery). The quality of the food both in terms of taste and portion size is of the highest level.
Particularly recommend the Prawns Malvani Masala, Surmai Goan Curry and the Chicken Sagoti for the first time diners.
For another round, do order the Chicken Gassi + Neer Dosa and Prawns Pulimunchi.
Reservations are required especially on the weekend. The food is definitely worth the wait.

âĄď¸Prawns koliwada
.
Jai Hind Lunch Home has 3 branches in Bandra, 1 in Lower Parel & 1 in Dadar.
.They had pretty good ambience
Prawns very well marinated with spices and was properly cooked
They specialize in Seafood frm various parts like Mangalore, Goa, Maharashtra, etc...
.
.
Make sure you reach there well before time, orelse you will have to wait outside, and you can enjoy only one thing till then is the aroma. Taste is awesome. Try squids in butter garlic sauce with neer dosas.
One of those few restaurants where I have tasted best textured and soft butter naaans.
Had ordered for chicken tikka biryani . on time , fresh and delicious . I am very happy to say that the quality was much better then the one we generally eat from lucky briyani.Â
Jai Hindi Team good work
Their specialty in" MATKA " is the best â¤, I really love the MATKA paneer kebab and MATKA Briyani, it's really worth a try.
The only thing is that the process to make food is quite slow, we had to wait 20-45 mins almost. But it was worth it, it was delicious and mouth watering!!
So after a long time I was out for a dinner date with someone who gave me a funny shock on my first date. So after planning for a couple of days, we decided to go for a gomantak style restaurant and we landed at Jai Hind Lunch Home.
Here's what we ordered
1. Mutton Sagoti Thali
2. Tisriya Thali (not available said the staff)
3. Prawns Masala Thali (not available said the staff once again)
4. Prawns Sukkha Thali (yes it's available he said with a smile)
5. Stuffed bombil with prawns.
6. Neer dosa
7. Caramel custard
Since we caught up after a long time, we got tired of eating as we were simply chatting and chatting
The taste : Mutton Pieces in the Thali were good and generous
Prawns was fresh and masala was very well done
Stuffed bombil was one of the best I've ever tried. Well prepared.
Caramel custard too was fresh.
All in all a good visit and will definitely visit again to try more items
Total damage including taxes 1254 to be precise.
All in all
Used to go to the Lower Parel outlet regularly when I was working there. Now after several years went to Jaihind only for the Egg Biryani. Can say that the taste has not changed one bit. Same as before, just awesome. Loved it so much that I took a parcel as well. Go for it, its totally worth it.
This restaurant is damm amazing. The food is serve within some minutes. These restaurant is also near from highway. This restaurant is serving the best food of exceleent quality
Went many times to this outlet with family. Awesome food especially chicken matka biryani. Also had Prawns thali. Solkadhi was very nice. Thanks.
Pomfret, bombil, crabs on your mind? Look no further. My colleagues gave up their home made food to enjoy seafood đ For starters they ordered bombil, it was ok. Next was silver pomfret, huge portion and delocious. Three of them couldnt finish it. There is quite a few options for vegeterians too for starters we opted for paneer matka kebab, it was fantastic. For main course my friends ordered mutton curry, anda masala with neer dosa and seetiwali sabzi for veg again with neer dosa. Food was fingerlicking good. Caramel custard for dessert. Soulful sonkadi and rice papads added more flavors to our wholesome meal.

âJai Hind Lunch Homeâ one of the popular sea food joint which has approx. 5 outlets in Mumbai.
This brand is one of my favourite place to go for when I crave for sea food. As i work in Lower Parel area, I have tried Lower Parel outlet many times but recently visited its BKC outlet for tasting.
Ambience:- This outlet is spacious compare to other Jai Hind outlets and it has full AC section.
Menu:- It offers amazing options for the non-vegetarians, specially the sea food lovers.
Started out meal with Surmai Fry, big piece of fish which was well marinated and fried. Totally loved it.
After that I tried out the Stuffed Crab, the crab sell was stuffed with crab meat cooked with spices. Must try one for the crab lovers.
Prawns Pulimunchi, itâs tasty with spicy touch and goes well with the Neer Dosa. One of the best dish on the menu.
Pomfret Thali, which includes Fish Fry, Fish Curry, Sol Kadi, Papad, Rice, Neer Dosa. Itâs a complete meal for one person.
Recommendations:- Surmai Fry, Stuffed Crab, Prawns Pulimunchi, Pomfret Thali.
Service:- Great. Staff deserve full mark for that.
Point to Note:- During rush time they follow sharing table concept. So you need to be ready to do that.
Experience:- Overall fantastic experience as always. Surely going to visit again as still a lot on the menu to try out. Itâs must visit place for the sea food lovers.
Note:- Visit to this place was on Invitation but above review is based on personals experience.

I happened to visit this place when i was in Bandra with my friends . We were feeling very hungry late in the afternoon and thought to go and visit Jai Hind Lunch Home. Jai hind lunch home satisfied our hunger and even served very authentic food. We enjoyed our time there.
The ambiance is also good. Staff is also very professional. They knows the menu well what they are serving. Infact they will also help you to decide what will be the best as per your taste.

I am a seafood fan, particularly a Prawns lover, and had been hearing rave reviews about this place! I finally got a chance to visit over here and let me tell you, the reviews which I had heard of, were completely on point!
Full Review Coming Soon!
One of my favourite seafood places in Mumbai. Had a humble beginning at their Parel Restaurant and they have now grown to become a multi location restaurant. I still go to the Parel place whenever I am on town.
If you are a seafood lover and enjoy the local Maharashtrian, Manglorean cuisine then yes, this place is a must visit.
They do serve Punjabi food and tandoori stuff, but then for that, there are others.
Fish served here is fresh and same day catch.
We ordered the Pomfret Thaali, which comes with a combo of Chapati and Rice, we chose to go only rice as it goes well with the fish the gravy.
We also for Mutton Sukha thali, Surmai or Spanish Mackerel thali , Crispy squids and Clams Masala or Tisriya Masala as it's on the menu.
We definitely stuffed out bellies with an amazing meal.
Lunch can get busy, even on weekdays duenyo local office crowd and may have waiting up to 30 minutes, depending on when you arrive.
They have a display of the fresh catch in their shopfront and also have live Crabs on display.
Eating crabs Is something I wanna try here next!

They have 5 outlets in Mumbai. This place never disappointed. Proper place to visit with family and friends.
What we had?
Bombil Sandwich: One large Bombil (Bombay Duck) cut in middle, stuffed with prawns and shallow fried to perfection. Goes very well with chutney. Tasted so yummy and crisp. Must Try.
Prawns Fry: It was so delicious. Absolutely recommended. Approx 14-15 middle sized prawns deep fried to perfection.
Basa Tawa: Soft and delicate basa fish fillets cooked with minimal fuss and batter fried, It was so aromatic and tasted good.
Chicken Sagoti Vade: Traditional malwani style chicken curry in a yummy spicy gravy, it was very flavorful and very delicious. Really tasted well. Though Vade was bit oily but quite manageable.
Pomfret Fry Thali: This thali consists of Pomfret Fry, Pomfret Gravy along with your choice of Chapati/ Vade/ Neer Dosa. We have to make it simple, so opted chapati. Loved it. It was worth every second of the wait. Highly recommended.
Solkadhi: Delicious and very fresh sol kadhi. Amazing!!!
Overall pricing is not too expensive, super value food with generous portions. All the reasons to get hooked.

We spent the last review of 2018 dining at a true spectacle - Jai hind Lunch Home. This has always been sort of a jewel in the sea food loverâs world. Itâs a small place with all the necessary amenities, is kept really neat and tidy and has very quick and efficient service.
They serve seafood in all kinds of styles. Before visiting I assumed this was focusing on Malvani cuisine but thatâs not true. They serve Malvani, South Indian as well as Goan cuisine. Essentially picking up the best of seafood from across India.
We tried the below food:
1. Prawns Koliwada - a must have on my list. The batter was light and airy and the prawns were fresh. This accompanied with the green groundnut chutney at the table was just great.
2. Khichya Papad - Iâm listing this out as a dish coz this is a must try. A huge stack of fried papas is the perfect accompaniment to everything they serve.
3. Pomfret Hirwa Masala - the Hirwa masala was made of a base of onion and coconut along with lots of Coriander for the colour and freshness. I assumed this would be very spicy but this was just about right for the palate.
4. Surmai Pollichattu: this is a South Indian speciality traditionally cooked in banana leaves. It was a delicate spicy and tangy masala which was my ultimate favourite here. This one Iâll most definitely recommend everyone to try.
5. Pomfret Goan Curry: The Goan curry was good and the fish was fresh.
This was all wiped out with Neer dosa which was thin and velvety.
We finished off with the caramel custard and solkadi. The joint is priced extremely well. Itâs right for the stomach, tongue and the wallet - a rare combination to have!
I would definitely recommend this to any seafood lover.
Jaihind lunch home
Jaihind lunch home as the name suggests is a lunch home so it has it's specified timings during lunch and dinner and not open at odd hours of the day.
Here we get typical maharashtrain , kokani style nonvegetarian food.
It is 5mins from the Bandra East Kalanagar signal.
Here the food items we ordered were as follows.
Lemon juice- I require.
Bombil sandwich- which has Bombil as well as Prawns in it and shallow fried , just yummy it was
Fried prawns- well fried
Paplet Suka Thali - my all time favorite, well fried.
Kombdi Vada - it was good, good quantity.
Sol Kadhi glass- it was great.
The taste was typical maharashtrain, konkani, so being a maharashtrain enjoyed it.
The place is little small but good.
Do try it out.

Review according to my taste, knowledge and experience, you may have a different experience altogether.
Had to try the Malwani cuisine so visited this place. Was really an amazing experience having food here.Had ordered thali and a side dish was really good and would like to visit again.
The price is really reasonable and have a good variety in terms of menu they offer.
My first visit to this place. We ordered basa meen gassi, prawns ajano, neer dosa, bombil, sol kadi. The food was flavorful. Though, coming from Hyderabad, I find the quantity doesn't justify the price e.g the basa meen gassi had 4-5 small pieces and fish. I loved the sol kadi the most. All in all, a check mark for another eating joint in Mumbai
Been to the lower parel and bandra outlet as well. It's a no frills seafood place. We ordered tisrya masala. It was absolutely finger licking delicious. Surmai fry and surmai Curry of one big surmai was great too. Bombil fry was okayish. More batter and less bombil. Sol kadhi was chilled and refreshing. Dessert of caramel pudding was good. All in all great experience and would most definitely visit again.
This was the first time I went to Jai hind lunch home and omg how I regret that I haven't been to this place earlier.. Ordered bombil fry, tandoori prawns, and chicken biryani.. All of them were superb.. Relished each and every bite of all the dishes.. Will visit soon to try out other dishes as well..
Well this was my first experience at Jai Hind Lunch Home (which I know is way late for a Mumbai foodie but better late than never) and Iâm so glad to have chosen this place for my Saturday lunch date. Itâs a tiny restaurant located near Bandra East Highway and may be a little difficult to locate without google maps but the food here is to die for if you are a hardcore non-vegetarian. It is the best when it comes to seafood and be it a thali or main dish with indian breads, your tastebuds will surely have a gala time. So we ordered prawn meen gassi, bheja masala with kulcha and chapati and oh my god, we truly relished each bite and got the perfect south indian & north indian combo. The prawn meen gassi had the right spicy and tangy flavors and bheja masala left us speechless to be honest. The pricing is very pocket friendly so I definitely will be visiting it more often to satisfy my seafood cravings.
Came here for lunch today. Itâs a decent looking place, but the food in here is fabulous. Try out the prawn fry, simply amazing, and also try out the surmai fry, it was well cooked and tasty. In the main course Pomfret Pulimunchi was outstanding, it was my favourite dish out of all, have it with neer dosa. In the dessert the caramel custard was phenomenal, it wasnât too sweet and the texture was really good. The service was quick, had my lunch within half an hour. Iâm giving this place a 4.5/5.:D:):-)
Best Regards

I had ordered veg biryani from Jai hind lunch home it was too good. I got my ordered delivered in 30 mins which is fair. The food quality is good.
A quick stop at this awesome place for lunch completely satiated us.....
Lucky to get ourselves a seat at this restaurant as it is usually packed ...
The service was attentive and the servers informative ...
The food is just great.... and seafood lovers, this is a 'must go to place'. You for sure will not be disappointed...
Came here for quick afternoon lunch. Brilliant food and ambience. The staff were very polite. Food equals the price. Overall a wonderful experience.
Seafood lovers must visit this place. We had a pompret Thali and surmai thali. Generous portion of fish fry in the Thali. Tasty sol Kadi and fish curry. We took chapati in one thali and Wada in the other. They also have thecha and dry shrimp mixture in the thali. On the side we order Malvani masala thisre and stuffed bombil. Both totally delicious. A satisfying lunch indeed. Attentive good service. Must must visit
This place is quite famous amongst sea food lovers in Mumbai. It's a small place with limited seating arrangement and bright lights with konkan and malwani spices as their speciality to compliment the seafood. The best part about this outlet is its super quick service and courteous staff. We tried out
1. Stuffed crabs: soft juicy and tasty
2.pomfret: it was a little blunt in terms of taste
3. Prawn sukka thali: it was delicious, non spicy and wholesome.
4. Chicken Tikka biryani: randomly ordered this but this was amazing!
This outlet is easy to locate and serves pocket friendly and tasty options.
Regular visitor to this place .. never disappoints! Good food, decent ambiance and friendly staff that make you feel welcome. Most of their fish fries are good, I would specially recommend agree masala fry .. very different and delicious than regular rawa fry. Kombdi wade also recommended. Chicken saguti also good. Must try their delicious caramel custard..I could never stop at one.
Looking forward to my next visit!

Hey you all seafood lovers, you donât want miss out on this one! We have heard a lot of SEAFOOD buzz about this chain of restaurants, spread all over Mumbai and we were excited to try some heavenly seafood dishes.
Located at different places in Mumbai, we decided to visit the one in Gandhi Nagar, Bandra East. The place is quite small but the dĂŠcor is smartly designed by putting huge mirror walls making the place look spacious and modern. We opted for this branch of Bandra because it has AC as the Pali Hill one is small and also Non-AC. You might get parking easily here on weekdays but weekend seems to be tough and also has waiting. Ambience here is pleasant, relaxed, neat and comforting. Service is fast and friendly, taking good care of their customerâs requirements. Now talking about the highlight of the place, i.e. FOOOOOD!!
Okay we are an avid fish eater but this place serves some serious delicious fresh fish daily. We ordered their hot selling spicy red looking TANDOORI POMFRET, which we must say was finger licking good. For the main course we ordered SURMAI PULIMUNCHI with NEER DOSA. And to end our meal with the showstopper was PRAWNS FRY.
We must mention that our experience about this place was exceptionally good as they donât compromise on the quality of food. The place is little expensive but we promise you wont regret spending. The food will not only fill your tummy but also your soul. Highly recommend this place to all the sea food lovers and Marathi style non-veg food seekers. Donât miss out on their hot GULAB JAMUNS on a sweet note.

Enjoyed this lunch home. Good food was provided. The waiters were very polite and helpfull. Good ambience. Pocket friendly. Nice place to hangout ... Loved it
This place promises you quick service and delicious food. Went a few months back and had the best seafood ever. The prawn curry and the muscles were simply to die for. The location too is good and pretty easy to spot. Extremely pocket friendly yet doesn't compromise on the quality of the food they have to serve. Didn't get a chance to click photos because well, we were busy hogging out there.

Ideal place for sea food lovers... You MUST try the Bombil and the garlic butter prawns... It's finger licking good. It's a small place by the highway and as expected the space for parking is limited. Do try to reach early and enjoy your meal.
Tasty Food. I ordered Crab Thali and Surmai tawa fry. Was yummy.. will definitely go next time to try different dishes.. Loved sea food.. Surely recommend this place to others.
Jai Hind has always been a great spot for seafood. We've frequented the Lower Parel branch before but the most recent visit was to the Bandra East outlet. This location was previously a Keralite eatery called Rice Boat and had great food.
The staff is very patient and helpful. There is parking available outside the restaurant but that depends on the restaurant traffic. On weekends, your car may not find a snoozing spot.
Our order at Jai Hind was Prawn Agri Tawa, Bombil Fry, Neer Dosas and Prawn Gassi. We never miss to order the Sol Kadi which was mildly spicy but rather appetising. The food is a little expensive but that way seafood is generally costly compared to meat.
Fast delivery. Food was nice. Chicken dishes were cooked perfectly.
Tasty Maharastrain food
Pure Goan Experience.
Loved it!
Try the fish dishes all are awesome.
Visit anytime for your love towards fish thalis
Itâs not monsoon not not having crab ? Should try crab Thali .. usually we need cutter to eat crab but these guys have cooked so well .. delicious prawns đ
A Memorable Fish Feast at Jai Hind Home, Bandra East
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jai Hind Home in Bandra East, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's speciality in fish cuisine truly stood out. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner.
The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the fish dishes. Each bite was a burst of flavors, showcasing the freshness and expertise of the chef. The variety of fish dishes offered was impressive, catering to every palate. From delicate appetizers to hearty mains, every dish was a testament to the culinary mastery at Jai Hind Home.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members who were knowledgeable about the menu and ready to offer recommendations. The overall dining experience was elevated by their friendly and prompt service.
If you're a seafood enthusiast, Jai Hind Home is a must-visit. The restaurant's dedication to serving high-quality fish dishes, coupled with its inviting ambiance and excellent service, ensures a memorable dining experience. I can't wait to visit again and indulge in their delicious fish offerings.
This place was formerly called Rice Boat restaurant. The place is packed on Weekend nights because of nonveg lovers. I myself have tried
Paneer Makhanwala and Butter Roti
Paneer Tikka .
The ambience is good. Large mirrors and two giant fish tanks make the place look bigger than it is. Service is timely as fresh food takes some time to get cooked. Food was tasty, fresh and hot. Yummy fresh food that does not let you down ! Looking forward to try more items from their menu here.
FINAL VERDICT:
AMBIENCE:4/5
FOOD :4 5/5
VFM: 4/5
My favourite place to try some amazing sea food; They are very well priced and have good options available.
I will recommend you to try their classic thali and order some side dishes;
You'll get indulged in their mind blowing features.
Really best restaurant to try for Chicken kebab , fish is very fresh to eat, food is really tasty go n just try really amazing food, on Weekends people stand in queue to eat delicious food so everyone must visit restaurant atleast once go n try you will keep going there
One of the superb restaurant for seafood đŚ, we had Bombay duck, suramai fish, crab đŚ big one, and a lot other items. Kaushik Jee was brilliant at customer care.
Went to this place for a dinner outing. I have been a regular to Jai Hind branches for couple of decades now.
This time I had Malabari Prawns in starters and honestly we were expected something as dry masala but instead we got prawns coated and fried. Was a let down. That's all.
We had Solkadi and the taste was as usual good.
Then we had Prawns Pulimonchi with Neer Dosa a Prawns Sukha Thali and Pomfret Thali.
The Thalis were really tasty and the gravy given with it was very tasty too. The Prawns sukha was amazing in taste too.
Sadly Pulimonchi was average. Too tangy in taste so was weird on my tongue. Neer Dosa was soft no doubt. The papad served with thali had gone soggy and we asked for replacement and they obliged immediately.
We ordered Caramel custard too and it was quite tastyđŤśđź
It was my second visit to Mumbai and someone suggested me this place. I ordered Bombil thali. It is the best thali I've ever had. The taste of every single item was so perfect that with every bite I had a big smile on my face. Thanks to the chef and staff for being so brilliant. Will be visiting again whenever I'm in Mumbai â¤ď¸đ
We visited this place on a friday at 12.30pm. The place was pretty empty when we settled. The ambiance is decent. We tried the Prawns Agri Tawa which was AMAZING also had Chicken Pahadi Kebabs which were perfect.
We also tried their Sukka Chicken Thali, Surmai Thali and Prawns Masala Thali. Each Thali came with a common fish gravy, thecha, jawal, solkadhi, rice and a choice of Bhakri/Chapati/Wade along with the choice of fish or chicken. I wasnât a fan of the Prawn Masala but the rest were amazing. The Surmai was huge. Service is quick and efficient. They got real busy as soon as our food arrived so maybe go around 12.30 to avoid waiting in long queues.
Absolutely in love with the food.
Definitely recommended!
Best place for fish loving people. Excellent taste. Spices used within Limited manner. Authentic test.
One of the best place for seafood lovers with Lot of variation and choices.
