Very soothing environment with a carom board and a guitar for the Guest to kill there time while awaiting there orders. Of course one can play even after they are done with there food course๐ Serves authentic northeast Indian food. I loved most of there food, worth mentioning is the pork thali serving steam rice, blanch veggies, king chilli chutney, 2 different types of pork preparation, mashed potatoes. Itโs an whole meal. Price โpocket friendlyโ. Have visit this place if you want to try some authentic north-east Indian food. And yes, they are planning for live band very soon, so keep following there sites.

I don't know what gotten into me, but I was yearning for Naga cuisine. Searched in zomato and this restaurant along with few others were revealed. Chose this one because it was quite cheap and the ratings were good. A quaint little restaurant with murals of Naga culture and soft light filament lamps. Ordered a fish Thali, pork dry fry (recommendation by the waiter), pork akhuni (self recommendation) and the famous rice beer. Rice beer and pork dry fry were served first. The rice beer was sweet, sour. It was just like a toddy but the consistency was thick. The pork dry fry was bomb; well fried and seasoned pork pieces sauted with onions, chillies, garlic and some spices. Next came the fish meal, which was a disappointment. I don't know if it's their authentic cuisine or my palate didn't suit the taste, I hardly liked it. It consisted of a bowl of rice, Naga dal (mashed potato and some Naga spices, thin in consistency) boiled veggies (just plain boiled cabbage pieces) fish fry (crisp fried rohu fish served in bed of onions), mashed potato and some chutney. Again, not sure if my palate was lacking taste buds, I couldn't like it. The Thali was priced at INR 230, which I feel is over priced and not worth for the money. Ordered smoked pork akhuni fry (smoked pork sauted with chillies and fermented bean paste) , it was okay. Kind of wet, I was expecting a dry one.
Overall, it was a new experience trying an exotic (atleast for me) cuisine. Few dishes were amazing and few were disappointing. Their prices could be little low for the quality of food provided there. And also I would suggest the management to take care of the pungent odour which emanates through the restaurant.
Love this place, this was my first visit and I'm surely gonna visit often. Tried the Naga chili pork and pork with anishi. Totally recommended it.

I ordered a Naga styled pork curry, which came with very generous chunks of pork. The curry itself was done with bamboo shoots. The pork was very nicely cooked and had an equal distribution of meat and fat. However, though the food was tasty, it didn't leave a wow feeling. Maybe one day it will!

I used to order food from this restaurant. One of best restaurant where you will get good Pork cuisines. I have tried almost all the Pork dishes and few chicken and fish cuisines. They servers good thali. I liked fresh pork thali. Also another favourite is Naga Pork both dry and gravy. Folks can give it a try. Only suggestion for the restaurant is it will be awesome if they can increase the quantity a little. Just a suggestion . Prices are reasonable too

Been here a couple of times, with friends, the place was quite good, OK lets come to the point.
1. Ambience :- it was quite good decor with a naga Traditional .5/5
2. Service :-its just OK compared to other naga restaurant in Bangalore. 4/5
3. Taste:- I'm a naga so obviously I like the taste of the food. 5/5

It is hilarious to see people giving it a low rating because they did not like the cuisine. I guess these same people will go to China and expect noodles with curry leaves (like the ones they get in Bangalore).ย
If you want to experience good (authentic) Naga food this is the right place. If you go there expecting Chinese food (the ones with curry leave) then you will be disappointed.ย
Ordered from this place few days back. I had asked for Smoked Pork with Mustard leaves curry. It was really good. It is authentic Naga food. The pork was actually smoked (believe me this is difficult to get in Bangalore) and not just burnt on the fire before cooking. Their cooking style is how people back in Nagaland cooks.ย
Unfortunate part is that since most people do not know about Naga (or north-eastern) cuisine, they are trying to measure this place on their personal scale. That is why there are complaints about rice beer at room temperature, food not having too much flavor, otherwise it is too spicy, etc. BTW, the food is not spicy. People in north-east do not eat spicy food, however they are (chilli) hot. So in case you cannot eat chillis and want curry that has garam masala, this is not the place for you.ย
Overall, if you can leave behind your scale of Indian cuisine (masala dar) and want to experience a new cuisine with an open mind, try this place. Believe me, right now (2018 October) it is the best Naga restaurant in Bangalore.
My all time favourite naga restaurant. The amount they give is so satisfying for me, thats the best part about it. I ordered from here more than 6 times for dinner cause i stay in pg. And every single time Iโve ordered it, it tasted exactly how i imagine it to be while i crave for naga pork. In this picture the pork is from this restaurant other rice and dal are from my hotel. The pork I ordered was smoked naga curry (fresh) ive tried every pork i can, and my favourite is this one. Second favourite is the akhuni pork. Idk about how others who isnt northeastern will find the taste but as a northeastern, the taste is exactly like home made food. The spice and flavours with bamboo shoots ugh yummm. Definitely order from here. Ive never eaten there so cant talk about the ambience but food 10/10

The food is delicious and authentic. The naga thali and chicken thali is what I usually prefer eating here. The thali consists of steamed rice, kidney beans daal, king chilli chutney, fried pork/chicken, pork/chicken curry, veggies and mashed potatoes. A big thumbs up for their food and service. The price is reasonable. Also, try out the rice beer. So freaking good.

Food was not that up to mark/expectation, but I used to order from ur restaurant everytime. If quantity is less then quality should be awesome. Further, once I ordered fish curry & fried pork, but instead of fish & pork curries, I received only two different pork curries. I was really disappointed. Please be careful when u pack the order, & most of all, should check t customer's order carefully before packing in order to avoid sending wrong item. I'm giving 4 โญs for the delivery service.

According to our culture as a Naga restaurant food should be little more spicy. Seafood spicy is perfect which we really enjoy and the Rice beer is little bit sour and chutney is not spicy at all which is suppose to be spicy. supper ambiance and coming back to service is amazing specially I wanna thanks to Miss.Rebecca thank you for your prompt service and politeness and thanks to team keep it up definitely will visit again keep it up guys ๐

Authentic naga food , reminds me of northeast . Had rice beer with chicken thali , chicken thali consisted of mashed potato , naga dal , chicken dry , chicken with fresh bamboo shoot , vegetable boil , tomato and kingchilli chutney . Ambience was good with football around .

Else everything is superb!

We had Naga chilly pork and naga chicken fry for starters, which tasted really good and could relish the characteristic flavour of naga food. We ordered fresh pork thalli + dry fish(additional) and and smoked pork thali + akhuni (additional) And the naga rice beer Zutho.
The meals include :
1. Rice (was too much to finish, but they have no meal sharing policy so couldn't help)
2. Boiled vegies : cabbage, carrot, beans and bamboo shoots
3. Pork curry (alternates are chicken/fish/veg) : hot spicy, soupy and yum. We added akhuni (optional) and it tasted amazing and the hype about bad odour didn't feel to be true (borderline disappointed there ๐ #justkidding). Both the curries of fresh pork and smoked pork was good. But if you gotta choose only one, try smoked pork. They tasted like a typical north eastern curry with bamboo shoot. (All the non veg preparations are with bones, if one is strict about boneless pieces, they might not enjoy)
4. Naga chilly pork (alternates are chicken/fish/veg) : we already had them for starters and it's the reason we went ahead with meals.
5. Mashed potato with dry fish : tasted a little too salty but it is natural as dry fish can't exist without salt.
6. Chutney : made from egg plants, but quite unique in taste compared to the version common elsewhere.
7. Boiled dal : boiled pulses with salt, quite bland and complements the spicy hot dishes extremely well.
The hospitality was good.
Though intially locating the place was a little difficult, but overall worth a try for experimenting with tastes.
PS : I had someone with me who doesn't like pork and never tried Akhuni, and they came out liking both.
I'm not from North East, South Indian, likes to try out new cuisine. Went to Smokey restaurant. Spoke to other customers who are from North East, they said it's really authentic Naga taste. Food taste is good. Should are slightly different taste from other places. Pork dishes are really good but the pork may is cut into very small pieces and also little hard to chew.
Wow I love it. Far away from home I just feel my home feel home today visiting this restaurant. Sadly smokey Axone was not there my bed luck but I enjoy a lot that pork with dry bamboo shoots. After lunch the owner Mr. X (sorry bro that I didn't ask your name) and we had a great time together chatting for some 10 minutes. Thanks for your friendly and homily welcome. Definitely it is a place to visit. Prize are very reasonable with good quality meals. Surely will visit again.

Not the first time here. Wanted to eat the smoked pork treats here. Unfortunately they didn't have any dishes with smoked pork due to availability. But guess what, everything else was spicy, tasty and finger licking good. Will be back again for sure ๐

This is quite a simple establishment offering simple Naga food at honest prices. The decor isn't anything to write home about. In fact it is a little camp. Service however is super friendly.
If you're dining alone, or this is your first tryst with Naga food, make sure to order the Smoked Pork Thali (or the Fresh Pork Thali if Smoked Pork isn't available). It comes with a bland potato and lentil dal/soup that works as a perfect counterpoint to the spicy 'chutney' and spicy, fatty Pork curry. The small portion of potato mash is incredibly flavourful and the Pork fry is divine. If you haven't had enough Pork yet, order the Crispy Fried Pork. It is divine. Luckily the Thali comes with a generous portion of steamed vegetables to... make it a 'balanced meal'.
Someday I am going to get past the Thali and order a-la-carte. I wish the restaurant survives. They're in the same building as Zingron, Koramangala's oldest Naga joint.
