Went back to Udupi Vaibhav today after over four years and it was as good I remember it. We ordered the Mangalore buns, idly vada and chow chow bhaat and they didn't disappoint.
The place is quite busy and there are decent parking spaces for an eatery in Bangalore.
Going back for seconds? Yes.
Udupi Vaibhav is a very popular south Indian restaurant located at Kothanur. The junction used to be sleepy pre 2021, but is now bustling with traffic and Udupi Vaibhav is the most popular restaurant at the junction. It's got an AC seating area plus a regular non AC sit down and standing tables.
Th
Tea, Good food offered tried North Indian meals and roti curry tastes good
Masala dosa was not that great
Service is quick
Must improve
Service hall smells bad and suffocation
Seating arrangements should be made more
Cost should be reduced should me made affordable for all
Serves tasty breakfast items.. ghee masala dosa was yummy , so was the vada. Khara bath could have been better. Kesari bath lived upto it’s expectations of being a savoury dish.
It is a family dining restaurant. The south Indian cuisines taste really good here. There is chaat section as well. The service here is quite quick. Hospitality of the staff is fine. It is a regular place where you can get all you can eat.
Good Ambience, Good service, Tasty South and North Indian cuisine, reasonable price, With parking facility... Must place to visit if you are with your loved ones
Stopped at Udupi Vaibhav for breakfast. Here goes my review.
Udupi is a pure vegetarian restaurant.
For breakfast I took rice bath, vada and tea.
Rice bath: Methi rice was good. It was a little spicy. The portion was less.
Vada: Vada was big and good. Sambar was good.
Tea: Tea was good.
Always crowded. Food is good though.
Tried masale dose, masale Puri, idly sambar and coffee
All were good.
Finding parking is bit difficult. Can park on the opposite side of the road
I had an opportunity to have breakfast at this place and was very satisfied with the food quality and facilities. They have a parking in the front. You have to pay and get your food like a fast food place. The food quality was excellent and very economical.
Breakfast at this place was tasty! Idli sambar and chutney was just perfect. The sambar and vada made up a great combination. Masala dosa was bit roasted but was fine. The food was warm. The place is really really crowded as it was sunday.
Kothanur's one-stop South Indian restaurant!
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or just a cup of tea/coffee - drop in @ Udupi Vaibhav and let your stomach do the talking.
Visited this place nearly 6-7 times. Food is delicious - esp the chaats, dosa, coffee, etc. South meals could be improved a bit in taste
Pictures speak for themselves, uploaded
The food and service is good here. Plenty of sitting in both self service and table service area. The place is generally very crowded on weekends and one has to wait for few mins to get a table.
This is one of few udupi style restaurants where table service is available. Althought it is 20-30% cost
The food quality and taste is good, it's pretty standard and consistent with other Udupi Vaibhav restaurants. Car parking is difficult to find during peak hours but the parking management is good. They can improve on their hygiene and cleanliness of the place and their staff.
UDIPI VAIBHAV - a saviour to this upcoming Kothanur area for vegetarian food. Decent food.
Pros- Normal and AC rooms are available. Service is only in the AC rooms. Both have decent space in the peak hours too. Vareity of food options.
Cons- renovating the hotel quiet often as a result repeatedly
Loved the masala Cheese Dosa! It has become one of my favourites. Their sambar is unique and tasty. The only negative thing is the crowd. So you won't have a place to sit at rush times.
Nice place for vegetarian. Food was tasty.. was a little crowded cause of small space. The staff are quick and nice.
