We went for early dinner so we got seats very easily but it is always packed with people. Service was quick and staffs are decent. Must try: butter garlic king fish and xacuti prawns. Very cool ambience. Large parking space.
The place is very much hyped up for their food and I must say it's always crowded. There's usually a queue and you might have to wait longer depending on the group of people. The food was good and it had a wide variety of options. However the service could definitely be better. I had to wait for over half an hour for my order to be taken eventhough i had found my table. They also serve in different locations.
I recently dined at "Fat Fish" in Goa, a renowned seafood destination, and my experience was a bit average. The restaurant is popular for its seafood, and although the food lived up to its reputation, there were some drawbacks.
Firstly, the wait time was quite frustrating. I had to wait for up to half an hour just to get a table, and once seated, it took another 15 minutes for the server to take our order. This long wait was a downside as it affected the overall dining experience.
Unfortunately, I couldn't order the fish thali, which was one of the items I had been looking forward to, as I arrived slightly late for the lunch hour. This was a bit disappointing, but it's understandable that popular dishes may run out during peak hours.
On a positive note, the restaurant's ambience was quite pleasant. The coastal decor added to the overall dining experience, making it a comfortable and enjoyable setting.
The waiter who attended to our table was friendly and polite. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made some helpful recommendations. His service added a touch of warmth to an otherwise average experience.
Fat Fish is indeed a go-to seafood spot in Goa with good food, a welcoming ambience, and polite staff. However, the extended wait times for a table and order, coupled with the unavailability of certain dishes during peak hours, did impact my overall enjoyment. I would recommend visiting during non-peak hours to avoid the long wait times and to have a more satisfying dining experience.
Nice ambience and rush. This is one of the restaurants which attracts a crowd more. Plenty of food varieties available. I can say this is dhaba. Families and guests were also occupied with friends and family. I enjoyed the food well. I recommend it if you want to have a decent diet veg or non veg you can choose this. Near Baga beach.
Our most recent meal at the popular seafood restaurant "Fat Fish" in Goa was decent, not outstanding.
First of all, the wait was really annoying. I had to wait over an hour to secure a table ( probably as it was Sunday, October 22), but after we were seated, the waiter took an additional 15 mins to take our orders. The whole dinner experience was hampered by this lengthy wait.
The orders were served with a significant delay. We had to wait for an hour to get some dishes. They gave about ten to fifteen minutes between each appetizer serving. That's not how food is served, particularly in a group with 3-4 kids.
On a positive note, the food was top notch no doubt. I loved each item we ordered.

Fat Fish is a well-known seafood restaurant in Goa with excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and courteous service. But my overall satisfaction was impacted by the long waits for a table and an order, as well as the absence of some meals during busy hours.
To avoid long waiting time and to have a more enjoyable dining experience, I would advise going during off-peak hours.
The restaurant is great in every dish they serve. Their service is good but you will have to wait a little as it is always crowded due to their absolute great tasting dishes. The atmosphere is stunning and is conveniently located. The seafood continental dishes are remarkable. Highly recommended for all people visiting Goa.
Food is good and the service is super, special thanks to Deepak our server for helping us order. Absolutely loved this place.
Fat Fish is one of the best seafood restaurant and Bar. We were there just before 1pm and found a place to sit, after 1pm you will have to wait at least half an hour to 45 minutes for a seat.
A must visit.
Beauty means quality. Such a tasty special meal though lot of rush. They are managing very well. Nice vibe. Should have Goa meals at least once from here.
Food was excellent.. specially try the fish biryani, pomphret fry which was the best. The location is excellent.. but be prepared for some amount of waiting. Overall a good experience of the ambience, parking facility, seating and the vibe of the place.
Visited Goa just before Christmas and place was quite crowded ,waiting time was about 45 minutes to an hour depends on when you choose to visit .
Staff is polite, ambience is also nice and though it is crowded service is fast on table seeing how busy restaurant is
If you want to have their special fish thali or chicken thali go between 12-1:30 mostly after that time they don’t serve fish thali
We visited without knowing that and had to visit again on next day after confirming time form manager.
Lots of variety in sea food, vegetarian options also available but only few items to pick .Tasty is good but slightly costly menu
We ordered:
fish and chicken thali
prawns curry
paneer tikka masala
butter naan
Taste is awesome worth waiting time .
Not much photos of food to post but trust me worth a visit .
Car parking is available
