The food at little banana was homely, fresh and lip-smackingly delicious!

My fiancée and I really wanted to try home made Goan food. The owner of little banana restaurant Francisco and the delicious food cooked by his mother made sure that we went back to Mumbai with our palates completely satisfied.
The little banana special Thali had everything we hoped for and more. The perfectly cooked prawns had an authentic tangy flavour. The succulent modso fish in rawa masala was cooked to perfection. The fish curry for which this restaurant is famous, was well worth the hype. The clams were served in a mild coconut gravy which added a perfect balance to the thali. The dudhi and fish sukka (pickle) which was crisp were a great addition to the flavours of the thali.
Add a perfectly flavoured and cooked beef chilli fry to the order and you have a MUST-VISIT on your hands.

The owner Francisco is a gem of a person! He is proud to be the cook, cleaner, driver, server all rolled in one. And also a big time Liverpool fan. The fish thalis here are amazing. The solkadhi is fantastic. You can order many side dishes like pork chilly which are cooked in authentic Goan style and will not disappoint. You cannot miss the hospitality here!

One of the best Goan Thali I had from South Goa. It’s a small quite place run by a family. They have different types of Thali options. Fish was fresh and tasty and their prawn curry rice option was also really good.

A must have fish thali! There were so many varieties and everything tasted good. It is an outdoor seating restaurant with a good amount of tables. The only feedback would be to make the ambot thik a little more flavourful and less watery. Everything else was great.

It’s a Goan family run restaurant by Francis..soft spoken and gem of a person. The Goan fish thali - kingfish, prawn and more is their specialist. You want to get a taste of Goan home made food, this is “the place” to the visit. I tried Kishfish thali, kokum sharbad, different fish rava fry, everything was yummy and reasonably priced. I think I found “my Goan home food”, thanks Francis

The combination of tender fish and flavorful prawns can indeed make for a delightful dining experience. The freshness of the seafood must have played a role. Indeed an amazing experience!! Will be back soon!

Had dinner at this restaurant last night. Tried their Little Banana Special Thali and it was worth it. Had small portions of different fishes in rava fry( King Fish, Sardines, Prawns , Bombil etc) . Best item on the thali was Crab curry. Also included Clamps, veg currries, Goan curry with rice and complemented with delicious custard. Host was very welcoming .Also very reasonablerates, spent 350 rs per thali. Parking is on the road side and we found some space next to the restaurant. Will visit again if time permits.

Lovely little restaurant. Francisco the owner is such a nice genuine guy. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Now the fish dishes were excellent, my partner and I have wanted to try the thali for some time, and it was great, loved it. Based just off a busy road. Off street parking area. Worth a visit, I don't think you will be disappointed. 🙂 Happy eating 😎

This restaurant is a gem. Good food, good service, great hospitality and reasonable pricing...what more is required! We had both lunch and dinner from this restaurant while in Benaulim. We had chicken thali, pork chilli, pork green, beef chilli and beef fry. Their thalis are the best.

If you want to have a truly delicious home cooked style meal. This is the place for you. Every corner of this place has simplicity and uniqueness. The owner is this chatty fellow named Fransisco who is the head chef and waiter and cleaner. He loves to talk and so do we, so our meals were fun and enjoyable. We ate here for multiple days and everything was amazing. Do try their pork chilly and fish thali. And the fish curry was to die for. Amazing food which will not hurt your pockets.
