Great ambience, very courteous staffs and amazing authentic Vietnamese cuisine food. The atmosphere is very serene and I absolutely fell in love with it. I don't like to revisit places but this one can be easily counted as an exception. Place is too good for a romantic date or just finding your inner peace, though it will be a bit heavy on your pockets đ . MUST VISIT!!

We went there for dinner as we were staying at the hotel. We went with the vegetarian tasting menu. Most of the dishes were good, there were some misses as well. Quantity of the food was so much and we couldnât do justice to all the dishes. Main course and dessert were the best of the lot, especially the dessert. And not to mention, there were some celebrities sitting in the table next to us and it added to our experience. There is Ginger bar next door and the music form there was very loud.

Had been to Blue Ginger in the last week of November and the experience was amazing.
Loved the way they welcomed us with the Garlands and the traditional kunkum(bindi), the location where the restaurant is situated is lovely and romantic.
Since we opted for set course menu, we saved a lot of time deciding on the dishes and the food was very delicious aswell, not a single dish was disappointing. I especially loved the veg soup and the desserts(guess it was lemon grass ice cream and water chestnut kheer).
The chef dropped by to say Hi, the customer reps tending to our table were very attentive and their service is very appreciative! CHEERS GUYS.
Overall, a great experience and would definitely visit again.
I understand it is a 5 star restaurant but the price.of the food was incredibly high for the food served. That is my only complain. Other wise loved everything about the place. The staff, ambience, service, location. It is a beautiful restaurant to say the least. We ordered the bento box. I don't think you would get this anywhere else in Bangalore. The food was well made. Quality was good. Taste was decent. Although I have not had vietnamese food before, I felt like I have eaten similar flavors before. Special mention for the desert. Had lemon grass flavored ice cream with cake and chocolate. It was delicious.
The only place in Bengaluru that serves Vietnamese cuisine. Although Iâm not a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine but i was just so impressed with the Vietnamese cuisine here. The PHO was fantastic. Service and ambience were great. The bar serves pretty good cocktails as well. Well if you are in the city and looking for some Vietnamese then this place wonât disappoint you for sure.
We visited the place to celebrate my wifeâs birthday. The staff went out of their way to make it more special. The ambience was beautiful and food was yum especially loved the chicken and corn soup.

We went there for a leisurely lunch and boy, we had the whole place to ourselves since it was a weekday. The ambiance is so beautiful and the place so peaceful, it didn't feel like we were in the hustle and bustle of a city. We took a set / tasting meal - both veg and non-veg meat and poultry. I still distinctly remember the way my fiance devoured the lamb chops. One of the best! The only item which could have been more local to Vietnamese is the dessert. They even arranged for a birthday cake for my birthday boy :) Definitely a nice place for a very special occasion.

Vietnenese Waterchestnut Ricepaper rolls:These are full on flavour which exuberates a breath of freshness from iceberg,rola,robu lettuce and canned waterchestnuts boiled and with boiled vermicili sauted in satay sauce and served with peanut hoisin sauce dip.Dont break it,eat the whole thing together.
Veg red vietnamese curry:(Ca re chay):Made with silken tofu,broccoli and medley of vegetables.Star anise a popular spice is used in most vietnemese food.Cinnamon hint comes in the middle.This has a blend of the whole spices which are made into curry powder,added with redchilli powder,lemongrass,coconut milk and finished with butter.Rich yet comforting,Smooth and clean flavours.Dipping the baguette in it adds a new dimension.

Hands down, one of the finest fine dining restaurants in Bangalore. The Vietnamese cuisine stood out. Each dish perfectly crafted and beautifully seasoned. Loved every bit of it. Don't miss the saigon sauce based curry, since it was a pure delight. All the dishes were very good. The staff were very courteous, accommodated to our needs pretty well. The ambience was quite romantic, really loved it. All in all, a great dining atmosphere. Definitely a must visit.

The ambience of this place is superb. The place has a nice energy in it, with Vietnamese style written all over it! Was here for dinner and the place was lit up with nice fire lamps! For food we kept it simple with a soup starter and a main course. For soup we had an asparagus and haricot soup. For appetiser we orders vegetables in Saigon sauce and lemon grass. And for main course we ordered broccoli,bamboo shoots,water chestnuts and vegetables in Saigon sauce accompanied with rice. All the 3 dishes were mild in spices with fresh vegetables and aromatic fragrance! Over all decent food and good ambience with nice staff! Price is quite expensive since itâs a five star hotel.

Noticed an event happening and decided to walk in(booked the table in advance). It was 4 course Viatnamese meal set menu(menu posted) at 5600 plus taxes.
Started our meal with lemon grass soup and it was a. Clear soup served with baby corn, mushrooms citrus leaf, ginger and red chilli. Soup was appetising and flavourful. Loved the hints of tang, chilli and ginger spice. It was a perfect blend of flavours.
After relishing the soup we were quickly offered 4 course starter which included Raw mango salad, grilled tofu, peanut dip, summer rolls and Sauteed tofu. Salad was very refreshing. Loved how the hint of soya sauce with sugar complimented the mango flavour. Then we had rice spring rolls which were great. Grilled tofu was sipped in a thick and velvetty soya dip which was sweet. We were also given raw papaya salad which was equally yumiilicious đ
after a shirt break we were given lemon grass sorbet to cleanse our palate. That was boring đ so we squeezed a dash of lemon and slurped it off đ
Main course was just mind boggling. First dish was broccoli and asparagus served in with white sauce. It was so smooth and silky and loved every bit of it. Second dish was asparagus and onion sautĂŠed in soy and peanut sauce which tasted so rich and flavourful. Third dish was shiitake, button and fungus mushrooms served in thick sauce. That dish was a standout in the menu. Loved every but of it. Sticky rice was paired with these dishes. thick viatnamese curry was served with french baguette which confused me a little but we were told that the french colonisation influenced them to include bread in the menu and i was quite amused by the pairing. Baguette did complement the think gravy đ every bit was good until here.
When we asked warm water to be reserved water smelled of fish which was a put off for a vegetarian like me. But i dint want my dessert love to be stumped so calmly hot my glass changed. Dessert menu was comprised of water chestnut in jelly and coconut milk, lemon grads icecream and chocolate moose. Honestly desserts were dull and did not do justice to the meal. Overall it was a good experience đ

One of my most awaited restaurant visits so here goes~
The ambience was serene and picturesque as it's rightly famous for, although for first impressions, the buzzing adjacent Blue Bar did make the restaurant look far less enchanting than what it should have.
Coming to the food, loved the Prawn Lemongrass Chili Soup- a clear soup packed with flavour, though the small size of the bowl did make things a little difficult out there. For appetisers, the Fried Prawns with Sesame on Sticks- a quintessential crispy Asian appetiser- was a crowd pleaser, and the Grilled chicken with Basil & Five Spice was a winner too with its unique flavour. As for mains, we had the Crispy Fried Fish with Chili and Basil Sauce, and Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Prawns, both of which tasted pretty good. Also, the staff was kind enough to bring us a complimentary birthday cake for the occasion of the night.
The service was warm,polite and attentive, but my only complain is that the servers cleared the plates before we were even done eating without asking us if they could do so, and that turned out to be a bit of a dampener. But on the whole, the experience left me quiet satisfied. Would I be back? Why not!

Awarded The Best restaurant in Bangalore... And our experience today was a testimony to that. Wow is a word too little for it. The Ambience with its wooden decor, Vietnamese styling, and well dressed staff was a soothing change from run of the mill type. The food was simply awesome. We tried their Chestnut burnt garlic & Lotus stem in Butter Garlic and the taste of Lotus stem is still lingering in the mouth ( no pun intended). The mocktail was OK but my daughter loved it. The chef & staff were super nice and the service standards were definitely worth returning for.
Been here so many times and it doesnât fail to dazzle! Great food, fabulous service! My only pet peeve is they charge a fortune for bottled water here! They even go out of the way to do something for kids when they are around! Worth the spend!

Been there month back with family on weekdays, place was not much crowded only few people were seeting there maybe because of weekdays. The ambiance was perfectly fine with nature. We order chicken pho, vietnami noodles,crispy fish, two soup and few drinks. All food was pretty good in teast and quality. The person was serving us he have well knowledge in there product. Only thing we were disappointed with there timeline to making food. We wait more than 40 minute to get crispy fish. We not expect delayed service from Taj specialy from Taj west end. Over all experience was perfect.
The ambience of this place is something to experience. Itâs lush with greenery and gives a very peaceful vibe. The service is commendable and holds up the taj brand. The food is also very good and delicious. The raw papaya salad is something you must try. You can taste the quality right away. The bar and wine selection is good too. I would definitely recommend going here.

My love for Taj hotels continues.. This is the best Taj in the city...If you are wanting to take your beloved out for a date away from Bangalores frustrating traffic and bustle, this is the place...We took the Chef's tasting menu.
The starters and salad was carefully selected and tastefully presented... The twist to vermicelli was fantastic - spring onions in sauce with sunflower petals..
Choose the Blue Ginger cocktails. I went for the one with Tequila since very few places offer good tequila based cocktails. This one won my heart - Tequila with saffron cinnamon, Mango. The homestyle bread and fish Vietnamese curry will seal the deal... Sorbet as a pallette cleanser is nice twist as well ..

20 acres, lush greenery, baried Flora and fauna, exquisite restaurants, chariot rides, golf carts, cycles to view the place and brilliant hospitality, this defines The Taj West end in short. We have stayed here twice. Once in 2012 and once in 2018. There's no better experience we have had, at any other luxiry hotel across the world, like we have had at Taj. When we checked in to the hotel, it was raining. The staff is very courteous and finishes all their checking regulations quickly. There is a large waiting area in case you want to sit around. The front office staff then guided us to our room, and arranged for a good cart to take us to the room, as it was raining. The room we had was beautiful with a balcony. Absolutely stunning. A very large room, with seating space, a pretty big wardrobe which is almost a walk-in, and a luxurious bathroom. The toiletries and the towels placed prom and proper. We got fresh and then headed out to take a look at the property. It was already evening so a short walk around the hotel and we headed out to the blue bar for a quick drink. We had booked at table at the Blue ginger restaurant for dinner.

A stunning place. With ambience that would do justice to a romantic dinner, a family get-together, a corporate meeting or just about any occasion. The restaurant is quite big, and although the hotel is right in the middle of the city, you almost get the feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle here. With fire pedestals beaming away flames at various corners and a light setting, the restaurant has a unique charm. The service at our table was prompt, polite and professional. They have a tasting menu section that is priced at about rs 2400/- for vegetarian and rs 3500/- and rs 4500/- for non vegetarian options. The ala-carte is what we opted for. We ordered wok tossed lemon grass and chilli, Raw papaya and mango salad (they were kind enough to mix both for us), asparagus and bamboo shoots lemon grass soup and pan fried noodles with choice of vegetables. Their salads are a must try. You almost get the MasterChef vibe while eating their salads. The soups have the right amount of thickness. The noodles are perfectly cooked and seasoned. We also spoke to a few other diners and they were raving about their lobsters and seafood delicacies. Best part? It was actually light on the pocket with this combination of food that we ordered. A restaurant that we will definitely visit again, and again.

The next day, we woke up early morning and took the cycles that they have for us to be able to ride around the vast 20 acre property. The cycle ride was amazing. Through the lawns, tennis court, 2 swimming pools, art arena, cycling by the villas and various other parts of this property was almost like going on a light trek.
The breakfast which was part of our package was served at the mynt. From continental, English breakfast options, fruits, dry fruits, cereals, meat, dosa and egg options to choose from, you are in for a treat.
The checkout was hassle free and we can't wait to get back to this vast expanse of greenery bang in the middle of Bengaluru soon!

Every once in a while, there comes a time that stands spectacularly out, in a collection of food related memories. I've had 2 such moments in the past 4 years and just had the 3rd, that too in a surprise dinner at the beautiful Blue Ginger at Taj West End.
I do not recall any moment where I have read about this restaurant. The more possible scenario is that I'd have came to know about it but never gave it a thought on putting on a wish-list, as it was..well, a part of a Taj Hotel. Not one for my pockets. Yet, there I was on a post-rain Sunday night, for a romantic dinner set up by my loving wife as my this year's birthday gift.
I couldn't stop grinning as we walked in to this place, with happiness and excitement for getting to try Vietnamese cuisine for the first time. The restaurant, even though is set right beside a busy road, seemed to be set deep inside a jungle, in the night. The quiet and calm ambiance is much welcoming. The place is beautifully set with plenty of tables for all types of diners. We were given a table by the side of a pond which had a fire pedestal. The flames illuminating the thick foliage next to it was a beautiful and relaxing sight. Our table though was awkwardly tilted on top but it didn't affect our dining experience. Only downside was there was no soothing music to the setting. The 'Blue Bar' was right next to the restaurant and the electro-beat music overflowing from there doesn't add well to ambiance of the restaurant.
The service at our table was apt, polite and professional. It took a lot of time for us to decide on the food and drinks as there was this tempting option of tasting menus of Vegetarian, Meat and Poultry, Seafood varieties and Ala Carte. Since we didn't want the hassle of choosing items for each course, we decided to try the Vegetarian and Meat and Poultry tasting menu. As for the drinks, we went for Singapore Sling and Blue Ginger Cocktails.
The Cocktails were okay-ish but dint felt any special. As for the food, let me start...
It was spectacular. The chicken and corn soup looked just like any other but it tasted perfect. The appetizers included Roasted duck Rice paper roll, Lime Leaf flavored Grilled Chicken and Raw Papaya Salad. They were served on a special plate with some soft noodles and sauces. It was a bit difficult to cut the food in those plates. All of these items make an explosion of tastes in the tongue. It had flavors that were difficult to comprehend and I stopped analyzing and started just enjoying it. A cute little palate cleanser was served after the appetizers.
The Main course included the famous South Asian Red Curry (chicken), Steamed Jasmine rice, Stir Fried Lamb, Stir Fried Greens and Vietnamese soft noddles. The Stir fried vegetables are just there being good, but does not excel in taste. The Lamb and noodles however were simply superb. Perfect in texture and with a whole lot of tastes that cycles. As for the red curry and steamed rice, nothing would describe the satisfaction of my tasting the red curry that night. Coconut milk does magic to dishes. I wished I had a bigger stomach to have more of it.
For a grand finale, the dessert sample consisted of Pandan leaf flavor Ice-cream, Chocolate Cream and a Butter cake. The Butter cake could have been a bit more soft. The Ice-cream and chocolate were a very welcome finishers.
(The entire course is quite heavy on the stomach too. Be well prepared if you are going to try it.)
After finishing the meal, we just sat there contemplating the worth of having such a beautifully crafted meal once in a while. It was a delightful and satisfying experience. Sure its heavy on the pockets, but its worth every buck. This is a place for special occasions, Beautiful setting and great food. Loved it.

Excellent Vietnamese cuisine. The fish was absolutely outstanding - simple yet packed with flavour. The soft noodles were excellent as well with a hint of burnt garlic. Wonderful ambience. The service could have been a little better (had to reconfirm our drinks order several times) and mosquitoes were a problem.
Very rarely does an experience stay with you for years to come, but the 'Blue Ginger experience' has been with me for sometime now. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. The decor is simply lovely, blending in perfectly with the gorgeous garden that overlooks the restaurant. The lighting almost highlights the flavours which are authentic & memorable. This remains my favourite dining experience in the city, till date!
We went to the Blue Ginger for our anniversary dinner and boy were we glad v did! :) Firstly its beautiful breezy outdoor ambience, with lovely lanterns and greenery all around you makes it totally romantic! Add to that the service team that goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time. But the most important thing is that the food is outstanding! Aromatic, flavourful and oh so light-perfect trademarks of good Asian food! And as a vegetarian, I was absolutely not disappointed! :) Their cocktails too are amazing. Overall a perfect place for date nights!

For lunch we decided to get to my fav restaurant and surely we were not disappointed, egg plant with tofu in black bean sauce was awesome, soft shell crab could have been a tad bit better & the prawn & egg fried rice was really good. We ordered for summer coolers and the staff helped us with a cool one.... great hospitality again. Until we c u next time......
Thereâs nothing about this place that I donât like because I do, I uncontrollably loved this place. The green papaya salad was out of the world. The food was awesome and so was the ambience. They were quite courteous and nice. We stayed in for a longer duration and the place is not very crowded. Bit pricey for obvious reasons but worth every bit of it.
Vietnamese cuisine. The first one in our country but now I guess more have opened. Warm hospitality. As we are vegetarian we ordered their sample set menu which was like a 4 course meal .... its called the tasting menu
We went their for our anniversary dinner. The ambience is phenomenal and the staff are very friendly. We ordered the veg and meat/poultry set menus. The quality of the food was generally very high, except for a bit too much chilli in a couple of the veg starters. Overall, well worth a visit
one thing to bear in mind is that this is an expensive place, as is apparent from the menu. Whether the expense is justified depends on your own preferences. The overall experience was well worth it for us but if one were to judge purely on the food, the conclusion would be less clear cut
We had visited Blue Ginger to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were given a special place to sit and the hostess was very warm. The food was good...the ambience was better and the service was the best..

The place was not completely booked. The front of house staff was extremely courteous and dressed in Vietnamese attire. The ambience was beautiful and typical of a taj. We ordered the vegetarian tasting menu.
Boy wasnât it elaborate. The bamboo shoot lemon grass and spicy mushroom soup was flavourful and delicious. The vegetables in the soup was cooked to perfection to retain their taste. The broth was super tasty.
The starters included a rice paper roll with water chestnuts and thin noodles, butter garlic lotus stem and mushroom n vegetable salad served in a purple cabbage cup. The presentation was beautiful with some peanut flavoured sauce by the side. This was followed by a pineapple sorbet to clean out palate of any residual flavours. The main course included jasmine rice, veg yellow cari and vegetable noodles with tofu n okra in black bean sauce as well as stir fry veggies. The yellow cari and was delicious with every vegetable absorbing all the flavour from the curry. The noodles was ok. The tofu was delicious.
If that was not enough they served some bread for the yellow cari and some papaddum like fried fryms. The dessert included banana caramel ice cream and water chestnuts with coconut cream. The ice cream was sinful and yummy. Overall, a royal experience.
Amazing food , lovely ambience for a lazy Sunday lunch , we went for a 3 course set meal and must say it kept getting better with every course . The sorbet served in between meals was very refreshing .
Chef Sukumar was courteous enough to attend us during the meal.

Been there on New Yearâs Eve. It has a very nice ambience, specially for a romantic fun filled evening. You can go there with ur friends or with ur family.
Coming to food, I really liked the grilled prawns. Paneer tikka was equally delicious. Had red and white wine along with it to compliment the food and we were set for the evening.
Service was a little slow but I wouldnât complain considering the ambience.

This restaurant is kind of open through the sides and can remind you of Goan shacks or poolside bars of Maldives. Lovey ambiance with water bodies and glowing flames.

Excellent choice for trying out Vietnamese cuisine.
With a calm atmosphere and Sombre music your food becomes even more enjoyable. The lighting is brilliant. The ambience is something of a wonder in itself. Though it might seem a bit expensive, but to dine here is an experience in itself.

Amazing Experience!
I went there on a Saturday night, the ambiance is suitable for a romantic evening or even a family gathering.Its got a gazebo setting, with a small waterfall and lots of greenery.The washrooms are clean, top notch as expected.
Coming to the service - it was exquisite, the servers were very polite and their suggestions were on point.Thank you Mr. Sarvanan!
We started our dinner with Classical Hanoi grilled fish, i wasn't too pleased with it.I did not like the choice of fish used. After that we tried the Raw mango salad, you could go for it if you like tangy flavour , it has a very strong pungent flavouring.I gradually started enjoying the salad.It had a nice asian vibe to it.
Then came the pineapple sorbet - which was a pleasant surprise given to us as a palette cleanser.
Then for main course, we had the server's recommendation Rice,Baguette & prawn curry.The prawn curry was coconut milk based and tasted exquisite.I loved the flavour and the consistency of the gravy.
For desserts we had the caramel walnut Pie accompanied with caramelised banana which was sooooo good.I usually don't prefer this fruit but the way it was combined with the pie and caramel was mind blowing.
Overall,I had an amazing night!! I hope i get to visit again during the day time to take advantage of the lush green ambience and the beautiful colonial architecture.

The place is fab and the service good. Found the food ok-ok, neither too here nor there- had dinner there last week yet despite trying out over 15 items only remember the lemon grass ice cream and Vietnamese raw mango and prawn curry, both of which is highly recommended although chilli flavor for the latter seemed to be based solely on readymade red curry paste and just a tad too much coconut cream. Tasted good though just not wow.
Excellent location, setup and service. Totally top notch. The menu is vast and most of the dishes we ordered turned out to be excellent.
We started with soft shell crab in butter garlic (4/5 - just a tad bit too buttery), fried prawns with sesame on stick (4.5/5 - sort of like prawn salt and pepper on a stick) and raw mango salad (5/5).
After the appetisers they offered us a pineapple and mint sorbet as a pallet cleanser ... it was a pleasant surprise and quite exquisite tasting!
For main course we ordered lamb with sate sauce (5/5 - simply awesome), chicken in lemon grass and chilli (4.5/5) and prawns in raw mango cari accompanied by jasmine rice.
We got an assortment of desserts but honestly they were somewhat disappointing. That was the only let down of the evening. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant for the ambience and overall experience as much as the food!

Made a reservation for paradise table on my wedding anniversary. They set up the table very well filled with flowers and candles. Their five course meal with all drinks included was just perfect! Staff were very courteous and making the reservation was a breeze as well.
Ambience and food are well worth the money to spend an evening for dinner here!

Stewards and the staff are friendly and often suggest the best dishes and their signature dishes and help us understand the Vietnamese cuisine.
Things to try out are obviously pho đ˛ which is really cooled to perfection by a Vietnamese chef đ¨âđł on board and also garnished and served in perfect Vietnamese style!!...
Ambience is really great and suits for a romantic dinner with your loved ones and also a good family lunch or an amazing gala time with best buddies. Tables are placed really far from each other so basically all you will not be disturbed even if there is noisy foodie enjoying his meal !!...
Amongst the deserts ( non alcoholic ) must to try on are caramel walnut Pie accompanied with caramelised banana and trust me this is the best desert I have ever had and never knew that even a simple fruit like banana would taste this great !!.... caramelised banana was so amazing that unless you are told that if banana you will mistake it to be an ice cream even after tasting it!!!!Â
And another bomb of a desert is Philadelphia cheese cake and this is also cooked to perfection and garnished and presented in class !!! And tastes really brilliant if you don't like deserts too sweet..... Â

We had been to Blue Ginger in Taj WestEnd. To begin with, this place has very good ambiance. If you like to spend some good time with family with less people around and more feel of flora then we got to go here. Having said this, we have Vietnamese Cuisine here and to honestly say the price is on the higher side. However, the taste is really awesome. Steamed Jasmine Rice[Sticky Rice] with Red Curry[Veg] was simply superb. The Staff there were very good and very courteous. Definitely a place to visit again.
Everything about this place is outstanding apart from food. Taste and quantity is not meeting expectations for it's price. Felt slightly expensive but i can say it's worth for the ambience and service provided.
Food was good, nothing extra ordinary. The ambience is out of the world! No hustle-bustle of the city, situated amidst a green area, with good decor and music. The seating arrangements, lighting, the cutlery, all of it is amazing! The pineapple-mint sorbet that was given on the house was awesome! Easily one of the best sorbets I've had. Some of the appetisers had the same flavour. Desserts were good.
If you are someone who wants a fine dining experience, relaxing and immersing yourself in the ambience, this is the place to be! At Blue Ginger, its all about the ambience.

Ambience is beyond amazing. The decor, setting , music, authenticity, everything is done right. Even if something is not, the staff ensures they do it for you.

If you are looking for high end gastronomy on a special occasion like birthday/anniversary where you wanna make your spouse feel super special, this venue is apt for it. I zeroed in this place for my wife's birthday which brought a big smile on her face. It's ambience is killingly beautiful and on request they gave us the best sitting space. We opted for set menu which was lip smacking, quite innovative and extremely heavy. Although we felt their service was little slow and could have been better but overall it was worth trying this place on a special day.
Everything was better than perfect! The ambience was spectacular, the food was delicious, the music was peaceful, the staff were wonderful. It felt like a holiday in the center of the city! Also, the raw papaya is salad is so tasty, I would keep coming just for that!
Blue ginger offers one the best ambience and an equally good platter in Bangalore. The service was a bit slow and this being a 5 star property, is a serious no no. Honestly speaking,during paying my bill, I actually helped myself to put the pin in the POS machine, ripped the merchant copy and my copy too. Took my copy and left, yet unattended by anyone. This is very shameful and highly unacceptable for a place like Taj. Could've been a 5fer but the place missed that little bit of magic I was expecting, which would've made my date a perfect one.TBH,I felt I paid one fold extra for my experience. Felt cheated. Sorry Blue Ginger team, you've lost my interest and faith.
One of the most romantic places in Bangalore, with the best cutlery ever! (I would go back just to see the gorgeous blue cutlery again).
There is a small stream of water running my the restaurant and which adds to the enamor of the place. The detailed Vietnamese ambiance is set up to be soothing and intimate; a welcome break from busy city life.Â
No matter who you go with, this place is bound to bring a sense of calm into you. The food is attentively prepared and tastes wonderful. Eating at any restaurant at the Taj West end is always a delight; not only do you eat great food, you get to walk through the meticulously tended gorgeous gardens of this legendary hotel.Â
The service is good and the price can be a little steep, but is not higher than what you would pay at any restaurant in a 5-star hotel.

Vietnamese cuisine has always been a preferred choice for me, having lived for a considerably long time in south east Asia. The food is delicate, light and easy on the stomach compared to neighbouring Thai and Malaysian cuisine. Blue Ginger at Taj West End was one such tantalizing experience with its flavours still lingering on my palate! I was fortunate enough to accompany my dear friend Jyotiee Balani an accomplished food writer and consultant who happened to be in town to choreograph a Satya Paul event.
Blue Ginger sports a very cosy seating arrangement with teak decor, candlelights, soothing waterfall and well cushioned rattan chairs.
The dinner course started off with the chicken Pho( vietnamese noodle soup) was very delicately flavored with accompaniments of fresh thai basil, bean sprouts, red peppers, lime and chilly sauce on the side. For the appetizers course we had small portions of the fresh rice paper rolls, grilled chicken with lime leaf and chilly, crisp lotus stem in butter garlic sauce served with hoisin sauce. In between all this we were served a pineapple and mint sorbet to cleanse our palates.
For the main course we had stir fried broccoli water chestnuts and bamboo shoots in Saigon sauce, silken tofu and water chestnuts red kari, stir fry lamb in chilly plum sauce, and warm baguette rolls to dunk into the delicious prawn and mango coconut curry served alongside Jasmine rice.
Cheesecake, chocolate souffle and a lemongrass sorbet for dessert.
Service was attentive and prompt and as we were the early birds we even had the chef come upto our table and help us choose from the menu. The restaurant got really full after 8pm. Very impressive array of food, service and decor. Abhinav Kumar

Great dining experience and ambiance especially if you're visiting late in the evening or later. The food options are great but I felt they're slightly limited for vegetarian side of things.

On the side water, fishes are living. We can offer breads to fishes.
Lovely ambience. We had dinner here and opted for the tasting menus in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian variants. I can safely say that every single item we tried was delicious and the portions perfectly sized. The raw papaya salad with peanuts, and the desserts at the end were absolutely stellar. The mocktails were great too.
If I must nitpick, I'd say that in the evening it can get a little irksome with mosquitoes from the water body nearby. Not much that can be done about it though, I guess.
Would definitely visit again.
