The food is just amazing & the atmosphere is great as well, it’s perfect for family dinners or lunch, Or you can enjoy a nice hearty meal with your best buddies. And it’s a good place were you can take your date for dinner or lunch. It’s good value for money, they are well known for their Steaks:) yummy!! People from all walks of life come to eat at The Only Place restaurant. If I can describe the restaurant in on word, that word would be ‘Legendary’.
From an Australians point of view, possibly the best steak house I've ever been to. Steaks are amazing, customer service is wonderful and decor & presentation is superb. The menu range is good with non beef products on offer also. Try and make room to sample their apple pie....WOW!

I visited this place some months back. Ambience wise it has the look of Goan houses... The very first look of this place gave me a very welcoming feel. I tried their chicken steak it just melted my heart away. The chicken was so well cooked and properly spiced that the taste keeps on lingering for sometime. If you happen to visit this place do try their chicken steak.

Visited this place on christmas 2019. Though they were packed the staff was very courteous and gave us a table quite early with minimal wait period. The food was very nice and delicious. The people serving us were also quite friendly and helped us with their specials for the day. Their strawberry pie was exceptionally good and is a must try. Would definitely visit again and recommend to family and friends. :)
The only Place is one of the oldest places in Bangalore for steaks and it was great to see that they still maintain their authentic flavours and style. The ambience is absolutely old school with no fancy stuff. Focus is on the food. Order your favourite steak and you won't be disappointed. Happy place to be!
Heard good things about this place. It did not disappoint. Headed there just as they were closing the kitchen but the staff were very courteous and helped us choose out some of their popular dishes.
The lamb whopper burger were just yum. The flavours were balanced and the meat was so juicy and full of flavour.
Their steaks are what they are know for and we were thoroughly enjoying every bite of it. The were well cooked and so succulent.

Went here for a team dinner. I've been hearing about their steaks for quite some time and decided to give it a go. And I must say, one of the best I've ever had.
It's kind of an open seating arrangement, very utilitarian. Average decor.
For starters we had BBQ chicken wings and chilli beef. Delicious, both of them. Reordered the wings.
Then the steak. Chateaubriand Supreme. Huge and obviously very filling. And so tender and delicious. If money and cholestrol weren't real, I'd have this steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
One of my colleagues ordered a chicken steak and I had a little. That was good too.
Very courteous staff too.
I'm revisiting this whenever I'm in the area.

Their steak is one of the most tender red meats I have tasted in India. I had the Chateaubriand Supreme & can strongly recommend that to any beef lover. It comes with garlic bread, mash & veggies; so it’s a filling meal. Only nitpick is that the steak would have been nicer with some of any of the classic steak sauces drizzled over it, it got a little dry near the end. Also, don’t miss the apple pie. It’s served hot, full of apple chunks & is probably the best I have had in Bangalore.

The Double Filet Mignon is an absolute treat... top it up with a runny egg and some barbecue sauce and you will be in steak heaven.

Back in the day, it was THE only place. Not anymore. Let me say that there was nothing wrong overall but in those days, if you wanted a good steak no other place crossed one’s mind other than that peaceful corner of Brigade Road, where Mota Arcade now stands. Nowadays there are options that are equally good if not better.
We were a party of 10. And we ordered about 7 different steaks - I can’t say any one of them stood out. And I dare say the portion sizes are not what they used to be. Remembering the old days, I advised the gang not to order starters - may be we should have. The only one that reminiscent of the old days was the Mini Whopper burger - it was no mini, it was a whopper.
For those who are going for the first time and are looking for a recommendation, I would personally suggest the chateaubriand (medium).
But the Apple Pie - always so good. And you can have it ordered and picked up - returnable aluminium plate and all. That with cream or ice cream will make your meal good.

As the name suggests it is indeed the "only place" for all your steak cravings. I have ordered charcoal broiled beef steak which was outstanding. The food leaves you feeling full yet not stuffy. Never forget to try there pies.

My friend and I visited The Only Place on Saturday, August 4, 2019. The ambience of the restaurant, with its closely spaced tables and shrubs enveloping the outer frame of the seating area, reminds you of the restaurants in Goa. However, the shrubs surrounding the seating space invite mosquitoes and so, it’s advisable to sit at a table located in the centre of the seating area rather than outwards.
We ordered the following dishes
• Cream of Mushroom Soup: A sad excuse for Cream of Mushroom Soup and a rather big put-off at the outset. The Soup was barely creamy and a meagre quantity of chewy mushrooms diced into it. The flavour of the soup was that of milk and flour. The only silver lining to this cloud was that the Soup was served with large delicious slices of garlic bread- toasted to a beautiful golden crunch, with the delicate aroma of butter and garlic, it’s a delight!
• Spinach and Mushroom Cannolleni: Served piping hot, drenched in creamy molten cheese, the mere smell of the cheese can make one’s mouth water. What’s incredible is how the fork dunks into the cheese and glides at the cannolleni, whose stuffing- the sour herby Spinach and well combined mushrooms win you over in the first bite!
• Char Grilled Steak (Medium Cooked): The meat itself was juicy and succulent having been cooked to perfection! Its subtle smokiness gave it a unique taste. The portions served were enormous, sufficient to fill me and and some more! It further came with mashed potatoes, boiled vegetables, onions and a salad on the side. The only downside to an otherwise perfect dish was that there was no provision to choose the sides with the steak.
• Apple Pie with Ice Cream: The apple pie with ice cream is a must try at The Only Place! The dish has so many elements: the pie itself, the slices of apples soaked in syrup, the ice cream whose flavours and textures compliment each other so beautifully. The warm sour fruity flavour of the apples plays with the cold creamy vanilla ice cream and crumbs of the fragrant, biscuity pie that you come back for seconds!
Value of Money
We paid about 1200 for the four dishes, one of which was steak! The amount speaks for itself.

This is a good place to try steaks. I had been there for my anniversary and I liked the ambience and food. One star low as it needs more cleanliness. Outside there were many flies and I found it to be unhygienic so was disappointed after food. Overall the food quality flavour and presentation was amazing. Staffs were quick and friendly too. This is a good place for steak lovers.

By far the best restaurant in town. Been visiting this place since childhood and everytime the tastes and vibe of this place amazes you. The Only Place is and will always be a rich part of the city's heritage and pride. Lamb chops, Ice Tea and Special Fish are classics.
An old Bangalore favourite, this is the place to go for steaks once upon a time and even now. The ambience is also a big draw and is a breezy, sunny, happy place. The steaks are still very good because of the cuts. There are probably a few steak places that are better but this 'classic Bangalore' place is a great mix of food, service and price.
Its an old well-known grand-lady of restaurants in Bangalore....a place that generations have been to, with friends & family. We visited this quaint homely cafe with friends, over lunch. Lovely casual ambience, accentuated with red checkered table cloths and a quaint outdoorsy setting.
Ordered steak, pasta, 'steak meal' and their unique Roast beef sandwich with mash & gravy. What is that? Its a roast beef sandwich smothered with a flavorful gravy....pretty good actually and would make a great 'comfort food' kinda meal!
They also specialize in dessert pies. We ordered a Cherry Pie & an Apple Pie....both served with a custardy cream. Whilst the Apple Pie was very good, the Cherry Pie tasted a bit synthetic.
All-in-all, a good experience....and definitely a place I'd recommend to all!

This place is one of Bangalore’s icon . We’ve been going there since small. But I’ve always only loved the lasagne. The best I’ve had in Bangalore . And the taste has always remained consistent. Even after all the turmoil they’ve been through.

The only place is a unique, outdoor seating restaurant located in a calm environment in the 24x7 busy church Street.
They have an excellent seating and some really good dishes. Their chicken mains are highlights, with barbequed chicken and chicken a la crème being my favourites, and they do have really heavy, gourmet burgers with fresh, juicy patties.
Do give this place a try. It's a lovely place to have an amazing dining experience.
Loved this place! The ambience is really nice. The food is great! Ordered iced tea and Chateaubriand Supreme Steak in main course and caramel custard in desserts. The steak was very soft, tender and juicy which made it taste really good.

Ahhhhh, The Only Place. We've been visiting this restaurant for over 10 years - over 10 years of savoury steaks, succulent boiled vegetables on the side and aromatic garlic bread with it. I have always enjoyed a steak dinner at The Only Place, as it is one of the few places in Bangalore to provide an authentic experience. However, the best part of the meal is ALWAYS the dessert - apple pie with ice cream. We order the same dessert every time we go, and if it's unavailable, we skip dessert. Warm, flavorful apple encrusted in a perfect shell, topped with soft, cold vanilla ice cream - the best apple pie in town, sometimes we came here just for dessert. Of all the things about this place that I hope stay the same, their apple pie definitely tops the list.
The place is a must visit! Its part of the early Bangalore one of the few survivors that reminds you of the yesteryear. The food is just brilliant nothing too fancy, just right. The way it should be, this is probably the Only place in bangalore that gets rare spot on (Steaks). They have an exciting array of food and it is a place that you must visit. I cannot get enough of the cheesy fries from this join.

A great place to have proper western style steaks and burgers . The place can get crowded quite quickly so might've to wait for a while to get a table. Steaks are cooked as per order and are really good . Also the mustard is really strong and good. The waiters are very helpful and the service was quick . This place offers western style burgers and steaks. I visited during Christmas time, when they offer roasted chicken and turkey. But it can be quite crowded during that time entailing long wait times. You can meet the old Bangalore crowd, and appreciate the cultural hues of our historic city. The dishes are excellent but crafted for western palate. Hence, if you prefer Indian taste, ask for the extra spicy well done steak.

Great place to grab the best steaks in Bangalore. Tried their chateaubriand supreme, mini lamb chops and their Boston special steak. The Chateaubriand was okayish, not great. But the Boston special served with cheese really hit a home run.

I would say one of the best places to try steak though it took us 2 hrs to reach there... Bengaluru traffic 😅.
As per the photos we had the following:
Steak Au Poivre : The meat was really tender and delicious. It was very juicy to fill our mouths with every bite we took. The sauce was extraordinary. We loved it. Well it was medium rare cooked.
Boston Special: Again medium rare cooked. There wasn't much of the sauce but to be honest it wasn't required. The meat was tender, juicy and every bite was delicious. It was just like how we watch the food made by top chefs in TV shows (though haven't tasted them yet). But it was really worth the food.
Moussakka - Well it was kind of a pie with minced chicken inside and it was coated with puff and aubergine (baingan) and cheese on top. It tasted really good something different that we had but the quantity was too much for us to finish it. Though we enjoyed eating it but we got tired in the end 😅. But again a must try dish.
Apple pie - Well it is served with or without cream and you also have an option for ice cream (vanilla suggested). The cream won't be the whipped cream, it will be liquid. But for Apple pie, you will enjoy it the most without ice cream and cream. The cinnamon flavour especially gives a good taste with the apple and pastry. It is the perfect dessert to finish a beautiful meal.
Service : Their service was good and quick. Though sometimes it was hard to find someone. But rest it was really good.
The ambience was good but a little kind of dull. You can go with your friends and colleagues to have a meal and gossip.
Important notice - They don't serve Alcohol.
Last but not the least, this place is worth visiting not once but many times...
We ordered the double filet mignon, Philly cheesesteak, onion rings and a milkshake.
The filet mignon was cooked to perfection ... medium rare which is quite difficult to nail.
The Philly cheesesteak was good too except would have been better if there was less bread. The onion rings were good, light batter.
Our friends ordered a BBQ steak (but warning, it's just a steak covered with BBQ sauce.... not a BBQ grilled steak), cherry pie wasn't too great....
Went to try steak, beef steak was good but chicken steak wasn't that good as expected.
Tried Strawberry Pie, that was awesome! That's a must try. Wanted to also try other desserts but it's very difficult to get desserts on weekend... Especially, if you go after 9pm. So go early if u wanna try all desserts.
