- Dal makhani - the creamiest and smoothest dal makhani. They do complete justice to the name.
- Butter garlic naan, small minced garlic takes up the whole naan and since I love garlic, I didn’t mind it at all.
For desserts I ordered the kulfi, although I don’t have any complaints about the flavour the portion was too small.

Took my team for dinner , wanting to showcase an old Bangalore favourite. They did not disappoint. Excellent service by Mr Rajashekar and team. The non veg crowd in my team absolutely loved the food and more than decent veg fare as well. Service was fast and outstanding for a 20 member crowd. It still commands the price , you have to factor the service and the old world charm into the experience . Thank you for the fabulous fun !
This is a place for an upmarket lunch or dinner. Ideally to be visited in large groups. The portion sizes are big and the ambience is quite elegant. The food items are fresh and similar to other fine dining restaurants in the city. It's location is quite strategic being on the MG Road itself.
Tandoor..Has always been our Go-to restaurant when you think about an elite dinner..The Tandoor Garlic prawns and The Mutton raan..is like feast on your palette...But yesterday was my first group event at Tandoor and it was a Fantabulous experience and Mr.Colin made the party a great success..The food menu that he customised for us and to the service of his staff..was exceptional...the taste of every item on the menu..From start to finish..we could not decide which one was the best...Masala Papad..Chicken Kalmi..Fish tikka..Lamb Sheek..Makhani Dhal..Butter chicken and the melting Lacha Paratha...yuummmm!!!!!

Tandoor is a good fine dining restaurant . The breads served here like roti ,naan ,etc are very tasty so are the side dishes. I really liked the mushroom kalimirchi and paneer butter masala. The masala buttermilk is a must try . Overall top quality place . Worth every visit.

Located on MG Road, this is one of the older restaurants of Bangalore and still manages to retain the old world charm and the good taste. A combination of kababs (chicken + mutton), daal makhni and breads is recommended. Their mutton biriyani is very good and can be tried too.

Superb ambience. All the staff were courteous and well informed about dishes. Recommendations were also good. The lamb chops starters which is the the raan barrah kebab is the best I have had. Prices are reasonable and the experience guarantees mutilple visits.

Classic old school old bangalore's restaurant famous for its dal makhni. It's still the same after more than about 12 years since I visited. But it still thrills you with the royal ambience. One of the oldest Indian restaurants in the city & the overall experience was good-ish. There were few exceptional dishes ( sheek kabab ) and the Mutton Rogan Josh were bloody brilliant.

One of the best restaurant in the MG road of Bangalore, hospitality of the staff is incredible. The way of serving the food is in very disciplined. Food is available in lot varieties. Had an amazing experience in Tandoor with my colleagues last night. With it's elegant rajasthani interior, Tandoor offers a great ambience and a brilliant variety of Indian dishes in it's menu. We ordered for tandoori bharva mushrooms, tandoori raan and jhinga for appetizers which were delicious. For me, the mushrooms was the star for the evening. Their prepartion and taste of maincourse is very different from other Indian restaurants in the city. We tried the dal makhani, paneer lababdar and butter chicken with some assorted breads. The dal makhani has a unique taste which made it the best offering for the evening. Butter chicken was an average but the lababdaar was good in taste. Definitely a go to place to try out Indian food. Special kudos to the hostess Ovin for helping us with her suggestions and great service.
Great food with great ambience! The service was great and I loved the starters. The Tandoori Mashroom and Raan were amazing. The Daal is great and goes along with the selection of breads provided. The Butter Chicken was not my liking and main courses were somewhat lackluster, but overall I must say my overall experience was great! Shoutout to the staff for being awsome!!
One of the midscale Indian restaurant in town which will not only ensure great food and service but also live music. Now in today's world who plays live music in an Indian set up. The ambiance is perfect, it gives you the rich Indian feel. I took my international clients for dinner and everyone loved the place. Service is great and staff is extremely friendly. The only thing which could improve is the taste of vegetarian North Indian food, though expecting good north Indian food in Bangalore, I am expecting a little too much here. Overall good experience especially if you wish to take your expats friends and clients for an Indian experience, this place will not disappoint.
Heard a lot about this place. Went there on a Saturday for dinner with family. The decor gives a royal feeling, Servuce is quick. My mother in law was on strict rule of no onion ginger garlic, so we asked the chef for something special, they did make a paneer prep for her. The taste is okay not something extraordinary. it is bit high on pocket but.

The food is rich and tasty, and tastes authentic. The service has always been spot on!

I went to this restaurant for our team lunch after hearing some good reviews and as it was centrally located (on MG Road).
Ambience: The interiors are akin to the setup of a palace. Antique furniture and grand chandeliers make up the appearance of this place. It takes you back to the ancient era!
Food: We ordered an entire four course lunch comprising soups, starters, main course, and desserts. The tomato soup was on expected lines, while the mushroom soup was bit bland. However, the mutton yakhni soup was top notch. Starters like the Mahi Mahi Tikka (fish) and veg mini samosas were really good. The non veg main course of chicken badami and mutton seekh Curry was delicious. The veg dishes like chane da paneer and veg falguni were good, but could have been better. We rounded up our lunch with kulfi and badami kheer.
Price: Definitely on the higher side. Lunch or dinner for two people will easily be Rs 2000 without alcohol. However, it is slightly cheaper if one goes as a group.
Overall, a good place to go for occasional lunch or dinner.

Tandoori is an authentic Indian restaurant. The food served here tastes delicious but the ambience is a bit old fashioned with a damp kind of odour which you smell once you enter the restaurant. The staff is very helpful though.

Tandoor a rich looking place, loved the ambience 😍 it's looks like palace, first floor is decorated with chandeliers. They have a live music🎤🎼🎹🎶 waiting room was so comfortable for waiting 😂 but staff is too slow.

They have reservations for others.. but somehow they managed to give us seat for 4. Food was good starters were okay.
Food is delicious, especially the garlic prawns and the mutton. The garlic naan is a must-try as well! We have visited twice within our one-week stay and each time the staff would recommend dishes according to our preferences and the food has never failed our expectations. The staff are also very friendly and would take initiative to chat with us, as well as offer assistance whenever they feel we need it. Communication is not a problem for us as everyone speaks English here.

Tandoor is a truly enriching experience. It gives you a vista into the yesteryear ways of dining. If you're looking for a place to relax and have a decent conversation, while enjoying delectable tandoor items, this is a definite place to pay a visit. The music is just at the right volume where it doesn't play the protagonist. It is a great place to take your family too! The intricate paintings and the chandeliers are absolutely wonderful.
Nice service and cuisine. One disappointment when I learnt they don’t serve soups any more at this restaurant… really!!!!!

One of the oldest North west frontier / Punjab cuisine places in Bangalore . Went back there recently after many years . The decor is maintained well , staff is mostly the same , same endearing faces and chat , relaxed service ( perfect for long conversations!) . Food is very nice and feels authentic - more than decent options for vegetarians but I think the non vegetarian folks should love the place . Valet parking is available . Expensive ( always has been ) - go for the old world charm and a relaxed lunch or dining experience. Visited in Sep 2022 - was nice to see that it still has good patronage . Desserts while nice , were sweeter than what people usually eat these days .

We went for lunch to Tandoor. The Ambience was beautiful. ACs were working good. We ordered Chicken starters and main course. The Garlic naan was really gooood.... Also all the starters and main course were delicious and were well cooked.
We went on a weekday, so staff was less and the service was a little slow.
But it is a really nice restaurant and you should give it a try.
