By far the best Falafel I've eaten in the whole of Bangalore
Was craving authentic Mediterranean food and came across Byblos. Wow! I’ve ordered several times and won’t stop any time soon! Keep up the great food!!!
The most authentic Middle Eastern restaurant in Bangalore. The very basic item - Qubz (pita / roti) - are to die for. We bought some extra and ate them the next day and they were soft and every bit as delicious. The Hummus is made from Tahini, it’s the real thing guys, not just ground chickpeas others pass of for Hummus. We went there in February 2020 and alas Corona struck and we haven’t been able to go again. Once things get back to normal, it will be the first place we go to. I wish they did food trucks and delivered outside Indiranagar. If you like Middle Eastern food or want to try it, this place is a must visit. And oh, I forgot to mention, the owner is charming and has his priorities right when it comes to food.
The best authentic Lebanese restaurant in town.. I have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed by any dish..
Must try:
1. Arayes
2. Shish taouk
3. Kebab
4.Hummus
5. Falafel
6. Shawarma
Looking for authentic Lebanese food? Look no further. Byblos has the best Lebanese food. Look out for their buffet you won't regret it.
Good place to grab some authentic Levantine cuisine. We tried the Sambusek, Dejaj Kebab, Hummus & Shawarma; with Baklava platter for dessert. Almost everything was good though I felt that prices were a tad high considering the portion sizes(especially the Baklava). Service was somewhat slow, but not intolerably so.
One of the best place for authentic Arabian food.. Took me back to the golden days of middle-east life. Place is pretty much peaceful and calm.
Bina visa, take a trip to Lebanon and feast on Lebanese fare at Byblos!!
.
.
I am a sucker for Middle Eastern food and especially Lebanese cuisine which is my favourite. I yearn for that taste and rush to every restaurant that claims to serve it only to be disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, they do… but the authentic flavor is still lacking.
.
Yesterday, I dined at Byblos in Bangalore to savour their Lebanese cuisine and was ecstatic to finally find a place that had my taste buds dance with joy.
.
I started with their mezze platter which served Hummus, Mutabbal, Babaganoush (with the olive oil imported from Lebanon floating on it), Falafel, Tabbloulleh and a salad. Everything was delectable, but the Falafel was outstanding... crisp on the outside and soft and spongy within (I wish I could have had more).
.
I was also served meat and chicken seekh with chicken tikkas. As if all this was not enough, interestingly, they also served me with an open Shawarma, with chicken, garlic dip, Arabic pickle, and pita bread.
.
The pita bread left me gobsmacked, I had never before tasted such fluffy and delicious pita. Finally, @ammar.molke71 the executive chef, shared the secret. Their pita is made only with milk and no water. Ufffff!!! No wonder that taste. The seekh thankfully lets you taste the meat and is not overpowered with unnecessary and overwhelming spices.
.
In a nutshell, the food is fresh and hearty much like the hosts and all safe distancing practices are also maintained. Do try it and tag me when you do.
.
Thank you @byblosrestaurant7 for a fabulous lunch. I Can't wait to be back. 😊.

Went here with a couple of teammates last season. Their lunch buffet is the best and very reasonable. A wide variety of Lebanese foods. Authentic and wholesome. Also you have items that are available to order whilst you have the buffet.
It’s been a long time no see.., One of the finest Mediterranean restaurant in town.
The falafa, pita bread and many more dishes no one can beat . Very courteous staff, can’t wait to dine here again.
Tried a different cuisine and was very happy to have tried it. Ambience was cozy, good place for a family. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The stand out for me was the pita bread (not because it's complimentary🙂), it was soft, fluffy and tasted awesome. I could just eat it without any sauce or gravy. Of course, the rest of dishes tasted equally good. Must try.
Excellent Arabic experience place. Only change I would want is a few items which are a little masaledar for our Indian taste buds
This place is simply awesome to try Arabic food. They have really good plate shawarmas falafel mahallabia and bakhlawa. Met their chef who is an Arab and in very professional in the work he does. So far the best authentic restaurant to try Arabian food. Staffs are courteous and service is quick.
Overall, one star low for high price
Price 4/5
Quality 5/5. No doubt
Presentation 5/5
Staff 5/5
Without question, the most authentic Arabian restaurant I've been to, not just in Bangalore but in India. The weekend buffet has a good number of options at a reasonable price. The chef is also very warm and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if you want to know what authentic Arabian food tastes like.
Celebrating first afternoon of a new year with a well spread out Mediterranean buffet at Byblos Indiranagar. Non-veg lovers get soft well cooked whole Lamb in oriental rice and roast Turkey in Kabsa rice among the mains. Vegetarians are never left behind in Mediterranean cuisine. Also when we checked for vegan members of our party, it was vegan friendly.
We visited byblos for their Christmas buffet dinner. And had a wonderful time. The spread was quite huge, with so many varieties of dips breads, desserts. This is was not your normal buffet experience. The food had an authentic Lebanese taste. We met the chef who was kind enough to take us through the process of making the buffet. Would definitely visit this place again.
I felt it to be overly priced.
Good restaurant fro having Lebanese food.
Lebanese food are not much spicy so you have taste proper meat flavor around the food.
They serve Lebanese food. Food here is almost close to the food we get in middle eastern countries. Price is on the higher side.
This is one place I go to when I miss having Shawarma. Being a person born and brought up in UAE, that is one of the many things I missed when I came to India. So glad that I came across this restaurant.
The best and authentic Lebanese food in town. The shawarma platter, hummus and loads of free bread served on the table to go with it is simply awesome. Try the chicken wings as well. They are delicious.
One of the best Babaganoush served here. The mixed grill's meat dishes were mild but tasty.Another mixed platter of fried dishes like samboosa etcwas also delicately made.Visit only if u like mildly spicy but tasty food.
Be it the sophisticated mezze samplers at Fava that pleasantly surprise on more than one occasion or the hearty, traditional offerings at our local favourite, Saara's, all my foodventures for Middle Eastern fare in this city have proved extremely rewarding thus far.
But amidst my undulating praise for these relatively newer places, I found myself receiving a number of messages and comments from friends and blog readers about the place that started and continues to helm Bangalore's little epicurean affair with all things Arabic- Byblos.
Needless to say, a trip had to be made!
For more details on our meal there, check out the blog link below!
One of the very few places in Bangalore that served authentic Lebanese food. Love the hummus and fresh Pita Bread, and they have an array of delicious items to order from! Must visit!
Here’s one restaurant that stands out for its delicious cuisine, and is a star of Bangalore.
Byblos has been my go to place for years, for warm Pita Bread, delicious Hummus and fresh Falafel. Never disappoints! I’ve lived on vegetarian Lebanese cuisine during my years in Paris, and Lebanese places were comforting to me even in Switzerland, because of the vegetarian options. I was delighted that Byblos’ food comes very close in taste and quality.
My last meal there consisted of Tomato Soup, Potato Kibbeh, Cheese Sambusek and Byblos’ signature Hummus. I loved everything, especially the Cheese Sambusek. My only grouse is that the food could have had a bit more spice, but then again, it’s not a dealbreaker. It felt like eating Middle Eastern food in Europe again!
The service is friendly and efficient. The prices are reasonable too, so is the quantity of food offered. This is a unique restaurant in Bangalore, and I’m so glad it’s in my neighbourhood!
We visited the restaurant for sunday afternoon lunch. by far it is the most authentic restaurant for arabic food in Bangalore. I have tried n number of shawarma from different places but nothing has come close to this. we ordered mix grill platter, hummus and shawarma. The taste of everything we ordered was really good and very close to what we have in the Arab countries.. I would highly recommend this place who have a taste for Mediterranean cuisine.
The best middle eastern food i had from Bangalore.hats off to the chef 👨🍳
Every dish is excellent
If you are a spicy 🌶 lover dont go there.if you are missing middle eastern food 🥘 its a must visit👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎊👍
Pita bread and hummus. I love pita bread and this place had the best pita bread. Their platters are a must try and on weekend, they have lunch buffet as well. I liked their mannakesh too
Had been to this place for dinner. Loved the ambience, food and friendly staff who helped us in placing the order. We were told that buffet option is available only during lunch times and not for dinner.
This is the only restaurant where i could experience the authentic Arabian touch so far in Bangalore.
Love their ambiance, pita bread, starter Arabian platter.
Must try if you are a Arabian cuisine lover.
Wow. This place bought back memories of my childhood(we used to stay in Dubai).
Amazing foood. Everything was just perfect.
There is food, there is good food, there is a great food. And then there is food which takes you back to a different place in a different time.
I’ll be definitely going back for more.
Very good Lebanese food. Mostly famous for non vegetarian food, which is made by professional chef and hygienic and tasty.
We also tried vegetarian food like Falafel balls served with hummus and mayonese dip. We also ordered with pizza with cottage cheese and zaatar (sesame seed and Middle Eastern herbs). It was very delicious and light on stomach.
Overall as authentic experience with very prompt staff.
A fantastic Lebanese restaurant in Indiranagar. By far one of the most authentic in the city. The place gets quite full so that in itself should be testament to how good the food is.
Ambience: (3.5/5)
The space is clearly a functional space. But there are nice red design elements around. They have also tried to include things to ensure that it feels more comfortable. The music adds to the overall feel of the place. The service is really good as the team there is very proactive and ensures that all the tables are serviced quickly.
Food: (5/5)
The food was really good. The hummus was brilliant and one of the best I have had in Bangalore. The mutton kebab was also fantastic. Had a really nice spicy flavour to it and went very well with the bread. The salad too was good. They have a couple options, either from the menu or the buffet. If you are hungry, I strongly recommend the buffet as the selection is brilliant. A wonderful variety of dishes as well as multiple types of hummus. The buffet is served up-stairs. I believe the same is only there on the weekends.
Summary: (4/5)
Great Lebanese food in bangalore and is a must try for anyone looking for great hummus.
Authentic Arabic food, the bread is fresh and made in store, Overall had a great meal and will recommend..
Parking is a problem in this place... Will visit again. Thanks
I had been to this place along with my friends for dinner on a Sunday evening. This place serves authentic Arabian cuisine. The buffet included a wide spread of salad's, authentic Arabian sauce's and fresh food being refilled very quickly. The dessert's tasted average. I loved the ambience of the restaurant and the service staff were very courteous and kind. Cleanliness is maintained very well.
One of the best restaurants which serve Lebanese cuisine , you won't be disappointed ! Though it is a little expensive, the food tastes great !! I always go for the buffet which is around 1350+ exclusive of taxes and the buffet is the best part cause you get to taste everything and the desserts are muahhhhhh 😂❤️
Came here for lunch on Sunday. The ambiance is pretty nice and so is the service. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.
Between 4 people we ordered:
1 Hummus
1 Labneh & Zaatar Manakeesh
1 Meat Arayes
1 Meat Kabab Kheshkesh
and Khubus (Arabic Pita)
The Hummus was extremely good, great flavour and texture, portion was small though for the price.
The Labneh and Zaatar Manakeesh was great, the taste was out of the world but their base was a little hard. It was more pizza-like and less Manakeesh, which was my only concern.
The Meat Arayes was amazing, hands down the best dish I ordered today. Served with a side of Fries and Garlic Paste, it was just amazing. The flavour of the meat was just delicious. This dish is a must try at Byblos!
The Kebab Kheshkesh was really great too. The meat was extremely tender and flavourful and so was the tomato based gravy.
All in all, Byblos is a really amazing place and undoubtedly serves the best Lebanese food I've had in India. Must try if you're in the mood for the same. Highly recommended!
There was a craving to eat some Lebanese food and we decided to go here again after many years.
Food- ****
This place is know for their authentic Lebanese and Arabian food. We tried the veg platter Costing around 1300 and it was worth the price. We had the veg pizza recommended by the staff. It as a half and half pizza. I did not like the cheese pizza, may be it’s an acquired taste. We had the potatobatata which was also good. Coming to the pita bread that was different and nice.
Service ****
The service was quick and the recommendations was good as well.
Ambiance ***
Simple, nothing sofisticated that stood out. Would have loved it if they had more of an Arabian and Lebanese decor and feel. It would have complicated the food.
Price***
It is not that expensive and if you order the dishes correctly you will not have to spend much.
Overall a must visit place for anyone who likes authentic Lebanese and Arabian food
If there is one place I head to for some good, authentic Lebanese food, it is Byblos.
Ambience: The restaurant is on two floors, with an old world feel to it and Turkish music playing in the back ground.
Food: We had the Aryan (Lebanese buttermilk) and Orange juice to wet our palates. For starters, we ordered the Mini hot cold Mezze platter, which had two pieces each of Hummus, Muttabal, Falafel, cheese sambusek & spinach fatayer, served with pita bread. Since we weren't very hungry, we ordered the Fattoush salad and the Shish Taouk sandwich, served with Fries and Cole slaw. And finally, we had the Creme caramel for dessert. Everything that we had was delectable and screamed Lebanese. The meat in the sandwich was juicy and soft.
The creme caramel was lovely with a generous helping of liquid caramel on top.
Service: Good, attentive and prompt staff.
Would love to go back for some yummy food again. I have previously had their Lunch buffet as well and that is also a good option to get a wide variety.
Lots of options for vegetarians (buffet). All the vegetarian salads and varieties of hummus were amazing. Falafels were perfectly done as was Babaganouj (eggplant dish). Ambience was great and all in all my Sunday afternoon lunch was worth the money spent.
Had the best Lebanese food in India probably. It reminded me of Home taste! The Exe. Chef Had some really tasty and original food put up on the buffet. The ambience and service was Excellent. It was worth having because it’s rare to find something original.
The experience at byblos was fabulous. The experience was curated by taste affairs and was featured by LBB Bangalore. The food was very much authentic and can guarantee you to have an amazing overall experience.
Food: 5/5
Ambience: 4.5/5
Service: 5/5
Pricing: 4.5/5
Overall: 4.7/5 ♥️
BYBLOS....One of the finest places to dine in Indiranagar amidst the many competitive restaurants surrounding it. As we entered we were greeted with a warm welcome by a beautiful girl and was then assisted to our table.
Coming to the wide range of variety of food, it was very fresh and tasty especially the chicken and potato gravy. The desserts were delicious and the watermelon was so fresh.
The staff was very polite, helpful and courteous and attended to all our needs and brought everything in a snap of a finger. The head chef Ammar Molki at Byblos was very hospitable and interacted with the guest and told us the things used in preparation of the delicious and sumptious buffet.
First of all I would like to Thank and Appreciate the initiative taken by Byblos also Taste Affaire for hosting mouthwatering dinner feast at Byblos. Food and staff was an awesome combination I have seen here. The staff was very humble and ready to serve you at any point. The organisers were very approachable. The food was worthy and healthy. The buffet was not so clumpsy with much food. Whatever was there it was healthy and soothing for the palate. Must try restaurant. Good luck to the entire team.
Taste Affaire hosted a great dinner at Byblos.
It's tough to review this feast and the staffs here. The welcoming was smooth by a young lady standing there with a great smile.. The organiser made us comfortable and again welcomed us by clicking photographs. A feast without great food is not worthy but here it was worthy. The chicken with potato and vegetable Biryani was a yummy for a big tummy. The chef and the staffs were very hospitable.. Good luck.. keep it up..
Starting with the welcoming, a gorgeous, cute girl welcome in a very pleasant manner. The sitting arrangement and the interior is dam cool... The staff and the chefs are very polite and well behaved. When comes to the food, the food is delicious and health conscious, as they have used olive oil. So,I will recommand all of you to visit Byblos and experience the authentic taste of LEBANESE cuisine.
Fantastic ambience and very interactive management, starting From the welcoming till the farewell all requirements were well attended to and the labanese chef is awesome and interacted with all the guests, to conclude the place is worth visiting for a fantastic experience.
Taste Affaire organised a good dinner feast at Byblos..
Starting with welcoming a beautiful girl who welcomed us with a great smile which gave us the worth to come here. Now talking about the staff, they are courteous, Hospitalable, ready to provide you with all things you need. The food was awesome specially the Chicken with Potato and Vegetable Biriyani.. Loved the ambience. Must come to try there Lebanese cuisine too...
An amazing evening here at the taste affairs in this restaurant... Experienced an amazing mouthful delight... The chef was so knowledgeable and experienced. The conversation here in this arena was magical with the magical presence of all the flavours. I would love to come here at least once a month..
Byblos offers a lot more tahn a meal.. It gave me an experience to share for life. Thanks to chef ammar molki to give me the most exceptional dinner
I usually go there often for the weekend buffet. There are some good middle eastern dishes and the chef is also from the middle east. I like middle eastern food because its not too much gravy but unfortunately the so called Arabian restaurants in Bangalore have a modified set of middle eastern dishes which I don't like that much. Here you can experience some cool Mediterranean dishes with authentic flavor and setting. Be it Pita bread, hummus, shawarma, samosa(not potato) or Fish Harra. You will see a difference in everything. They have good parking facilities and service is prompt, courteous and professional. The buffet is upstairs and is not usually crowded(another thing I hate about restaurants like Empire or Nandini) and the tables are well spaced and the place has lovely Arabic music of Nancy Ajram in the background. I do not know about A-La-Carte but if you want to eat healthy food for buffet and you like salads, hummus and other Mediterranean dishes, with cool music and people not pushing and thumping on your table during lunch this is definitely the place to be in Bangalore for the weekend.
I visited the place twice. I am in love with the food specially peta bread served here. Just checked the Online Menu. There are certain mistakes in Mezzah part. Dishes with lamb meat are pointed with green sign. Kindly make the necessary corrections. For vegetarians like me are very particular and sceptical about these kind of mistakes.
Original taste of Lebanese and Arabic food. Good amount of quantity and taste. You certainly get different taste of different world
Decent ambience
Loved the experience of having Lebanese food.
We ordered Hummus with Shawarma, Shish Taouk and Baklava.
Baklava is amazing. Loved the texture of the pastry, and the filling. It's a must try!
Pita bread was good too.
Although the ambience was okay, food will not disappoint you.
I also felt that the quantity was less considering the price except Baklava which was a solid 10/10.
Amazing food and Ambience... This was the first time that I have tried Lebanese food and was not at all disappointed... The food is really different from other cuisine... The pita bread with the garlic dip was mouth watering. Sharing pictures of the food we ordered, cannot name the dishes as I am not too familiar with the names as it was my first visit... Good place for a get together...
one of the tastiest and sumptuous Lebanese Food I have eaten. there is just too many choices of Lebanese Food highlighted in the menu. A must go restaurant with family and friends. Did witness people across different age group and different walks of life coming over to taste this food and the chief himself coming table to table to welcome the guests with a broad smile.
It's really a great place .. if you love Lebanese food.(it depends on your taste). you have to try it.. I loved all items I ordered.. 👌👌👌we had shwarma , mezza . Great taste and great food and is sure to fill your mouth palate tingling..I would really love to come here again. Service was fast. And al together a great experience. Added some photos for u
It's truly Lebanese, I didn't expect that one day I'll find the authentic food of great Lebanon in India.
Place is good.
Service is nice.
Waiters are affable and professional.
I liked it very much.
Ordered Take away in this Mediterranean Lebanese restaurant on the 18th Dec 20 afternoon at 3 Pm for 4 people. The order consists of
1) 2 portions of Baba Ghanaouj ( chopped grilled smoked eggplant mixed with tomato onions parsely, capsicum lemon juice and olive oil)
2) one portion of Hummus veg
3) one portion of Hummus beiruty(boiled chickpeas puree blended with sesame paste garlic, lemon juice mixed with boiled Garenzo beans, chopped parsely, topped with olive oils and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil)
4) Falafel 2 portions ( each portion 7 pieces)
5) Falafel wrap ( falafel wrapped with vegetables and parsely)
6) Zatar with tomato and onion ( mixture of wild thyme bread with seasme seeds and olive oil)
7) pita bread etc 4 pieces ( the above food includes 8 pita bread)
The total cost was Rs 2900 which includes 5% packing charges before the taxes amounting to Rs 130. I wanted order Baklava the sweet but he told me they would give minium 250 grams and will have about 20 pieces , I said I dont want as it will be too much , but the waiter said he will speak to chef and he gave 5 pieces complimentary
The restaurant didn't have many people when I went and they have kept santizer at the entrance
The food came in 20 minutes and this was for our dinner which we took at 7 pm . The food was fresh and it had compliments of pickled vegetables and hung curd and packed nicely. The falafel may be too much as 14 pieces is too many
On whole the food was very good
Value for money . Being a vegetarian choices are plenty and humus falafel babaghonsh and spread of sale . variety of sweets and good orange custard. The qulairy of service good ambience and Lebanese songs on the back ground . on the whole excellent spread for buffet lunch on a Sunday . really value for money at Rs 800 all inclusive is very economical.
A must visit place for people get to try out Lebanese dish. We ordered baba ghanouj, cheese rolls, chicken wings, shawarma manakeesh and Caesar salad. Loved to taste the pita bread which was complementary and the baklava. The ambience and look and feel was good. The dish was presented beautifully. There staff was quiet friendly. The price is a little steep though. Verdict: loved the food.
Nice ambience, good food.. Close to what I have had outside India. Liked the veg starter platter. Falafel wraps were also very good. The vegetable stew was a little disappointing as they made it very sweet.. Overall a nice new option discovered for us. Another advantage is that they have valet parking which let's you take your vehicle. Its also not very far from the Indiranagar metro station, a few hundred meters walk away.
A good place to try Lebanese food, they have both buffet and alacat options through the week.
They have huge options in salads both vegetarian and non vegetarian options, the salad's are very tasty indeed.
They also have starters for both vegetarian and non vegetarian.
The taste of food is on the bland side and needs to mixed with souces.
Soup's are served on the table, the service was good.
.
First afternoon of a new year! Awesome Mediterranean buffet at Byblos. Don't let the whole Lamb in oriental rice and Turkey roast in Kabsa rice throw you off about veg varieties on the table. Veg options were too many to keep track and also as far as we checked for two members of our party, vegan friendly.
Authentic Lebanese and so close to the best Arabic food I’ve tasted. Three of us tried the hummus and buns, ordered mix grilled platter and everything was perfectly made. The hummus is among the best I’ve eaten and we even saw the Chef sitting in front us and he knows his stuff.
Visited Indiranagar for some work and had lunch at Byblos, as I'd recently had some Arabic food at another place and had really liked it.
The place provides Valet parking. Ambience is warm and bright, and there's soothing Arabic music in the background.
The soup was done well, Portion size was decent and it set up the mood for the subsequent dishes.
Hommus is one of the trademark Lebanese dishes and the version served here did justice to the hype. I felt this was a little on the spicier side. The pita bread was simply amazing. It was soft and fluffy and quite flavorful by itself.
Fattouch was dressed in a sour dressing of lemon and olive oil. It went well with the Hommus and pita bread.Vine Leaf ia a must try dish. Other specialities are Manakeesh, Zaara and Labneh.
Overall really good food.
Loved the buffet.. found it to be a bit pricey. But overall the experience was good. The food provided was mild spicy and tasted very good. My Valentine's Day with food went well 😍
This could be your go to place for a falafel or other Mediterranean stuff. The Pita was soft as it should be, falafels were crunchy and tabbouleh( salad from parsley) was fresh.
However, babaghanouj(grilled and smoked egg plant dip) could have been better, it lacked the smoked flavour.
I would definitely recommend you to visit this place if you are craving for Mediterranean food. The food should satisfy your cravings but do not expect a very up scale ambience.
Must try.
It was all together a diffrent experience trying Lebanise food.. being a vegetrain I still found a good dish for myself..
An avg. dish price +₹250 which fine. One can try visitng this restarunt once. Nice and quite place with friendly staff.
Recommeded
The restaurant is total new experience for those who haven't tried Lebanese .Like they serve authentic lebanese over there . There's chef from Beirut who helps you out and takes feedback and stuff which is pretty great ! The service is good and of course it's worth spending . Food over there is great like ..go for a buffet in that place if you could build that kind of appetite. Over all it was a great experience we had . Person I would like to visit this place again if possible .
The best Lebanese cuisine if you are willing to try ding in here.
But make sure to book a table as it will be too crowdy during weekends.
