Hotel Janatha in Malleshwaram is a true gem that has managed to retain its old-world charm, making it a unique and nostalgic dining experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was transported back in time, and the ambiance was a delightful throwback to the past. The culinary offerings at Hotel Janatha are nothing short of outstanding. The vada, chutney, and sambar were reminiscent of the flavors I remember from my childhood. They truly captured the essence of traditional South Indian cuisine. The benne masala dosa was a showstopper - crispy, golden, and oozing with deliciousness. It was evident that the chefs at Janatha take great pride in crafting each dosa to perfection. And let's not forget the coffee; it was a comforting and aromatic delight that rounded off the meal splendidly. The attentive and courteous service only added to the overall experience. Hotel Janatha is a testament to the enduring allure of old-school South Indian eateries. If you're in Malleshwaram and yearning for a taste of nostalgia paired with exceptional food, this place is a must-visit. It truly is a culinary time machine that delivers on every front.

One of the most oldest restaurants in the Malleshwaram area stands out for its limited yet exceptional menu offerings. Renowned for its quality dishes, this eatery features an array of delectable choices, including Masala dosa, Open dosa, Pudi dosa, set dosa, Idli vada, Pulav, and Chow Chow bath. Whenever I visit, I never miss the opportunity to savor their irresistibly crispy and delicious Vada. Located on 8th Main, this place bustles with customers on weekends, and finding nearby parking can be quite a challenge.

It’s a very old hotel, nowadays people don’t patronise the place as much. We had breakfast today, the service was quick. The tables were neat and clean. The vada was crisp and tasty. The masala dosa was yummy and delicious. The sambhar was tasty and hot. I urge people to start visiting this place too, it needs patronage. I am sure with more people they will improve. The taste remains and I would beg to differ with others about this as we ate there ourselves. Do visit and enjoy your favourite food here.

For me - this is the ULTIMATE Masala Dose[a] place! The taste and crispiness of the Dose here is legendary; I have never tasted this anywhere else, ever. It's one of those BLR joints that have been there for ever. I simply love it! It's on a crowded street, it's popular and parking is a challenge. But you must definitely try it.

This hotel is located in one of the busiest streets of Bengaluru, 8th cross Malleshwaram. We tried Masale dose, Goli Baje and coffee. Masala dosa served here was Mysuru masala dosa coated with red chutney internally and prepared with lots of ghee. Potatoes in aloo palya were well smashed. Goli baje (4 per plate) tasted good. Same chatni is served for Dose and Goli baje. Coffee tasted really good and was far better than eating any desert. Our total bill was 180 Rupees. Hotels like Janata, CTR have managed to keep the "hale Bengaluru" charm alive. So a big thank you to these restaurants.

Times have changed so the level of service. Now janata hotel encourages people to take home parcel than eat there. Very few seats and servers are left now. But the chutney, sambar and Dosa remains class apart. People still flock and enjoy breakfast here. Coffee was also strong and authentic. Wada sambar dip is a must try, and masala dosa is not to be missed.

I personally love this restaurant. I've gone to many breakfast places in my life and this is the best one yet. I visit this place mostly for the vada but the Dosa here is also really good. The atmosphere is not as calming, but the service is good. Very organised. I 100% recommend.

In the hustle and bustle of the Malleshwaram market lies this unassuming , rather lethargic restaurant which reminds us of old Bengaluru. Seating and ambience very much like old Bengaluru, this places serves some amazing breakfast. Dishes to try : Masala dosa, Vada sambhar , goli bhajji This places gives a good feel for the 80’s
