Ordered cream pf mushroom soup which was yum plus a grilled fish steak item Must say Fish was super tasty though I am mot s great fan of fish š As the waiters saw my toddler was not letting me eat they brought him books which kept him busy for quite some time .. thanks for that.A great place indeed !
Excellent place, we were at group of 13 so I was concerned about the service. But Nishanth (owner) took our order and made sure we were taken care of really well. Everyone of us loved the food, quality and great quantity. I personally like the chicken steak, the meat was tender and the gravy was so tasty! I highly recommended the lemon pie, made by Mr. Nishanth's wife. And the chocolate mousse, both were a perfect ending for that amazing meal.
I will go back there with my parents.
the food is just absolutely stellar. The people in the kitchen here are really working up magic. It's not a namesake steakhouse, it's a real, proper steak house, so don't forget to bring your bibs!

Well an afternoon well spent. Having a subtle and cosy ambience. Have treated Captain Jack Chicken stake choked with Jack Daniels and the sauce in on the heavier side of the flavours. Mash potato was a bit more creamy to my taste but it perfectly balanced the strong sauce. The veggies were crunchy enough to balance the softness of the other items. But the Zucchini was a bit overcooked, but will not bring down the overall magic. I wanted to try the caramel custard but Covid had other plans. So tried the chocolate mousse. It was good, although not overwhelming. A must visit place in HSR to go on a date.

I just love love love going there. Whenever I get a steak craving this place is the one that pops up in my head. Steaks here are so good. Last time I went there I ordered treasure chest steak and what a steak! Both were to the point. Staff there are courteous. All the safety protocols taken too.

We were a group of 3 looking to enjoy sizzlers on a saturday night. We searched this place and saw it had good reviews. If you have a car or bike, parking is a little issue. The place is small but has decent ambience and cleanliness. We ordered cottage cheese sizzler, smoked over water sizzler and soya soya chand. Th sizzlers were really tasty and the sauces accompanied with them had true flavors. The portions were big however the quantity of rice in them should be more. By the time we finished the sizzlers there was no place for desserts but we had a bite of sizzling brownies which was yummy. I'd really recommend trying out this place if you are looking for sizzlers or steak.

Well, these are some very recurring situations Iāve found myself in, in the last 4 years, and I have always come to this place to satiate the palate.
I have literally tried everything on the menu (barring the veg options of course š)
This is one of very few places which attracts both the young and the old, from college kids to a family with senior citizens, no wonder thereās a 15/20 min waiting on weekends.

ā¢ Penne Alfredo SEAFOOD : Fresh juicy prawns, squid and basa fish slathered in rich creamy sauce. Perfect for anyone craving seafood.
ā¢ ROLLING in the deep : Another sinful seafood dish with rice and creamy coconut sauce.
ā¢ Captain JACKās Special (beef steak) : All time favourite, havenāt found any other place which can give competition to their jack daniel sauce(maybe their own mushroom sauceš) and those mashed potatoes Mann!! Theyāre as smooth and creamy as melted cheese.
ā¢ Beef steak in mushroom sauce : This sauce is divine, something you wonāt find on the menu. Nishant the owner suggested this to us when we were too saturated with the JD sauce.
ā¢ Beef Mince BURGER : Exactly how the burger should be, messy, meaty and juicyš
ā¢ Key lime cheesecake (something occasionally available on weekends) : Fresh cream cheese with mellow undertone of lime is the perfect way to end the meal here. Their Blueberry cheesecake is really good as well.

They have fantastic burgers, and my personal favourite is Minced Beef burger with an add on of Bacon. Itās the only burger I have tried there and I didnāt have to try any more. Thatās how good it was!

I visited India after a decade for about 4 weeks and after eating Indian food non stop, I wanted to try something different. Once Upon a Flame came up as a highly recommended place and hence I made a visit with my friends for lunch and It turned out to be a delightful experience.
Must try : Watermelon & Tomato shake, orange Milkshake, beet Steak and chick pea steak which was simply fabulous and the continental Paneer was out of the world !!! ( yesss , I happen to be a vegetarian and I havenāt seen such a wide variety for vegetarians in a restaurant that serves steak ! )

I love going to once upon a flame every time I visit Bangalore, with my family and friends. Coming from Australia there aren't any places in Bangalore to enjoy a good steak or ribs or any good desserts. Once upon a flame ticks all our checkboxes and we can't recommend it enough to our friends. Its located in a very convenient place and Nishant is a wonderful host. He ensures to talk to everyone in person, ensures they get the optimal service and promptly collects their feedback. Wish I could give them 6 stars for their amazing food and service..
Steak is really nice, you must try. Chicken bbq wings is very tasty. Waiters are well behaved . ZOMATO gold is also applicable as of now .
The place is just amazing. We ordered Beef chunk burger. The burger was loaded with Beef Chuck, veggies and cheese. With each and every bite you could feel amazing taste of beef along with cheeseš¤¤.
The non-veg starter had fish fingers, chicken wings and prawns. All the three were deeped in barbeque sauceš.
Steakalypce comes with a beef steak and mild spicy sauce over it. With some rice, veggies and mashed potatoes. Steak lover's will for sure love it, as they give option for your steak. Whether you like it full cooked or half cooked.

Always such a nice experience to be here. When we went, the place was so full, and the servers seemed so busy. Still when I began to sit, the server came like a ninja and put a cushion behind me as I was pregnant š„° Even with the crowd, the service was super fast with no compromise on the flavor. We always order the buffalo wings, it's a must! And the pork ribs were so soft and falling off the bone. In the end, they even made our desert complementary ā¤ļø

A lovely cozy place. Been here a few times, especially when had the urge for pork ribs. The cheese garlic bread is a must try. Good spread for steak or sizzler option. Only that for fish it is only limited to Basa. A steal also with Zomato Gold. Ideal place for revisits with family or friends.

The proper steakhouse with great attention to quality of food. Itās ambience is warm and cozy and the menu is nicely crafted for the customer which makes it even better. Loved the visit and the food.
I had ordered a pork steak and a chicken burger. The meat was nicely cooked and the burger was properly garnished. However it seemed a bit overpriced. Taste wise the food is quite good.
Itās a nice place for foodies, decor is normal nothing great about it but the garlic bread was awesome. One of the best that I ever tasted.
We tried chicken steak with jack Danielās sauce, however it was not up to the mark. Burger was yummy.

A lovely place with contemporary interiors. The staff are cheerful, helpful and know the menu well. There's a good selection for Vegetarians too. The Sizzler portions were a little smaller than we expected. On the whole we would definitely revisit Once upon a Flame

Who doesnāt enjoy a good steak? We ordered one veg and one chicken steak, along with a portion of garlic bread. Everything was delicious and the portions are of just the right size. The staff is pleasant too. Theyāve done a good job with the decor: we especially enjoyed the movie posters which have a āsteakā twist as well as the proper steakhouse feels the place gave out. The cinnamon tea shot at the end was the perfect ending to the experience. Will certainly visit again!

I love I love I love this place! I daresay they make better pork ribs that I do. And I know I make them amazing ;-). I love the ambiance and the staff is super friendly. My food came at the time I was told initially. Besides the baby back ribs we had the pork steak in jack Daniel sauce and a pepper steak. I dont normally like thyme or rosemary on my steak but I found that theirs was not overwhelming. We also had the coconut and mint coolers. We found their portions to be quite large, so even doggie bagged some. Overall we felt like it was value for our money and will go back 5/5.

Very good restaurant, can't believe we didn't know about it. We tried the spicy option in chicken steak and hash brown veg steak. The soya starter was the only disappointment. Both main courses were out of the world. Portion size was good and taste was impeccable. It's on the pricy side. We also had caramel custard which was nicely done but a tad bit more sweet for my taste.
Steak was amazing. The Rush in the mush (mushroom ) was a notable one. The thing which made us to spend more time than we eat is the ambience. Ambience and the interior was good with light music ( mostly English songs). Steak -5/5, mushroom -4/5, service -4/5.

The place is created with heart. The owner Mr. Nishant is the finest person and a great host . He explains you all about the dish so nicely that while eating finally you realise all the elements are hidden inside. The decor is so warm and cozy.
Steaks have been done completely justice and one of the finest places to have steaks sizzlers mocktails (the coconut one) in Bangalore. Dont forget thier caramel custard and the rum infused chocolate mousse in the desert section.
Kudos to the team and the owner for bringing in the best steaks to Bangalore with such an affordable price.

This was my first visit. I discovered this place completely by chance.
First of all, the detailed and creatively curated menu caught my attention. I immediately knew that I was at the right place.
We ordered a Tenderloin steak called Raging Bull, paired with a Caramel Custard shake (I'd highly recommend both), and a Chicken steak called "All mushy 'bout you", paired with a Kiwi-based mocktail called Green Grass Hopper.
Nishant, the person who runs the place came over multiple times to check on us. He also packed for us a Chocolate Mousse, which was on the house. The staff is very friendly too.

This place serves the best beefsteak sizzler in the city(Bangalore). Starting with their dips so dense , their steaks are so tender(depends on your preference I like it medium rare), the veggies very fresh , the smashed potatoes has nice texture and the add on rice all are delicious.

This place is a good amalgamation of a casual and fine dining experience. Dim canopy lights, wooden furniture, and exposed brick walls elevate the experience. The punny movie references on the walls are hilarious.
They offer starters, pasta, burgers, salads, steaks, mocktails, milkshakes, and desserts. The burgers and steaks range from vegetarian, lamb, pork, tenderloin, and seafood.
Some food that I have tried here.
Herb & Cheese Garlic Whole Loaf - Three whole loaves loaded with cheese, herbs & garlic. It was very soft and delicate and delicious in each bite.
Minced Chicken Patty Burger - A sumptuous portion with a succulent and well-cooked patty. The omelet add-on completed well with the chicken patty.
Treasure Chest Steak Chicken Steak ā A big slice of grilled chicken chest cooked magnificently in chili garlic and cheese sauce. Served with mouthwatering squishy mashed potatoes, veggies, and rice, this steak is worth trying.
Captain Jackās Special Chicken Steak ā One of the finest steaks Iāve ever had. A grilled chicken breast inundated in Jack Danielās marinate served with rice, veggies, and mashed potatoes. The gravy was exceptional. We licked off all of it from the plate.
Elvis is Back - A milkshake with a good blend of ice cream, brownie, and peanut butter topped with brownie pieces.
Choco Bomb - A combination of Mars & 5-Star bars with Oreo cookies and ice cream.

I have been to this place many times. This restaurantās main usp is that they serve Grilled food. I go there to have grilled protein cooked with less oil and having amazing taste, without degrading the quality of the food.
This restaurant is centrally located in Hsr layout. I prefer to park my car on some nearby empty road , and then walk to this place. The area around this place is often crowded. The restaurant is essentially an all American diner which serves soups , steaks, sizzlers, and other various grilled servings.
When I order, I specially request them to put less oil , and they happily adhere to it.
Just recently when I visited them , I ordered fish steak, chicken steak, chicken burger, and soup. All the dishes were top notch in quality. Steaks here are a must.
They design the restaurant as a typical American Texas desert diner . They have a very clean washroom and handwash area.

Coming after a long time due to Covid gap. The place has not changed a bit. As usual, awesome owner (Nishant) and his team (everyone speaks good English and well versed with the menu). I tried only steaks so far and one of the best (among what one can get in Bangalore, not comparing with what you may get abroad). Chocolate mousse and caramel custard were also nice and balanced in flavours and sweet. Liked the mild flavours of coconut and run in mousse. Five stars for their hospitality and price, overall a good value for money.
