The food , especially nalli nihari , kandhari naan and the orange kulfi from Chef Altaf Ansari are out of the world.
Vikalp is a great host and runs a tight ship.

We went her for dinner buffet and they served us 2 starters each for vegetarians and non vegetarians. There's no separation of rates for v and nv buffet. The chicken Tikka was one of the best. Being a part of Ramada, a 64 year old hotel in Bangalore, this restaurant truly lives up to it's standards. For main course, they serve 2 v and nv curries with pulao and keeping the culture captured, they offer white rice, sambhar, palya and curd rice. The ambience is classic. The staff is cordial and their serviy is prompt & polite. The best visit here would be with colleagues or family.
The breakfast buffet is brilliant and the dishes from the a la carte and equally great.

We had a really great experience hosting my engagement ceremony at Regenta Place where our food was served from Tiger Trail Restaurant. The highlight of our food was the freshly cooked Tawa Vegetables along with the delicious Gulab Jamuns and Rasmalai .

Amazing restaurant, good for family dinner as the place is quite and not much crowded. Buffet is worth every penny and they serve hot and delicious starters. I am very surprised that this place seems so underrated! I have been to some restaurants that have been hyped about so much online, only to be bitterly disappointed!
We availed of the veg buffet option. The Paneer curry, the Veg Korma, Gobi Manchurian and the Garlic naan were the highlights for us!
Also, a special thanks to our waiter Mr. Sankar whose prompt and courteous service was such a refreshing change from the usual status quo!

Visited this awesome restaurant few weeks back. Needless to say the ambience makes you feel like in a tiger reserve. The employees were very friendly and quick in service. A special mention for Mr. Subhankar Singh(Restaurant Manager) for ensuring proper delivery of food.I wanted non- spicy food. Mr. Subhankar Singh( Restaurant Manager) was very instrumental in ensuring right staff arranging for the same. Really worth the money considering the food quality. Well .. the ambiance of the place is awesome .. gives you a feeling that of a jungle resort .. especially of a Tiger reserve !! Their food is Indian .. really good food and one of the best tandoors in Bangalore . Apart from all of this what makes me come back to this place again and again is their service .. they make you feel like royalty. Especially their service captain Mr.Sivraj , he makes you feel like home and like he is your personal Butler . So basically with the unique ambiance , great food and amazing service , you feel like an explorer of royalty, who has come back from his tiger trail to reminiscence of his adventure in the jungle !!

Yes Triger Trail SHivaji Nagar has been in business and serving its patrons since 4 decades now.
So got a chance to pay a visit to this legendary place.
How did the name come in to picture
During 19th century British officers were hunting Tigers and they created a map or collection where Tigers can be spotted in huge numbers in places like Jim Corbett, Ranthambore, Jodhpur and Mysore
So these places are called as Tiger Trails by them
And hence the name The Return of Tiger Trail .

Chapli kabab is a rare peshawari delicacy

Mutton Galaouti kabab
This is one dish most of them get it wrong
It is a fine balance of spices and meat cooked to perfection, and they have done a fabulous job, one of the best I had off late
Ajwain fish tikka – made with Basa fish fillets and then coated with ajwain
This had a mustard flavor to it and is delicious
Reshmi sheekh kabab
Reshmi sheekh kabab is a classic kabab made with minced meat which is marinated in spices like pepper, garlic, gingerpaste and then grilled over BBQ grill.
This has a smoky touch to it and is done just the way it has to be. It just melts in the mouth
Paneer tikka is the only veg starter we tried
The paneer is fresh and then tikkas are marinated with chilly paste along with peppers and tomatoes. Goes well with mint chutney given along with it.
Main course – we tried the thali
The thali has Veg biryani, rotis, kulchas, butter chicken, kofta curry , gulab jamoon and rasmalai
Out of them Butter chicken and rotis are worth a try
Rasmalai is again made with fresh chenna and then soaked with sweetened milk topped with saffron and nuts delicious one

They say laughter is brightest where food is best and we experienced the same last night at Tiger Trial.
Before I talk about the food let me start with the concept behind the restaurant which goes back to the British era when one British officer along with an Indian king went on the trails across the country to hunt the tigers which now popularly known as "Tiger Trails" and dishes are inspired from old tiger trails in North India.
We started our dinner with the refreshing mocktail to beat the Bangalore summer followed by series of starters like cheesy baked broccoli(didn't work for me due to less marination), melt in the mouth tandoori panner and my favorite the fried potatoes with chat masala. Could have been better if they include more veg starters.
Later we had an interaction with the head Chef Yousuf who shares his experience in the north Indian cooking especially the Lucknowi food and I must say its truly inspiring.
The main course we were served Thali consisted of Dal Makkani(thick and creamy true to its authenticity), Panner Lababdar(mildly spice which melt in mouth chunk of panner), Malai kofta(My Favourite), Aloo and mushroom, Laal Pyaaz Pulav and ras malai.
I was really impressed with the Bread Basket containing the Awadhi special Sheermal(a traditional saffron-flavored flatbread), Chironji Naan(Crispy naan with Chironji seed slowly baked in the oven), Taftan(Floured-bread made with milk, yogurt and dash of cardamon powder) and Ajwani Naan.
Surprisingly the Veg Thali price at 549++

Tiger Trail – how did it emerge?
Let me just tell you how did this name materialize – during early 19th Century, The British Officers along with Indian kings went on trails across India hunting Tigers. During this affair they have created a collection of places where Tigers can be spotted, which is known as The Tiger Trail.
The trails are all over India including places like Mysore, Kabini, Jim Corbett, Sariska, Ranthambore, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and then the best dishes from each of them is added up in the menu of Tiger Trail, these classic age old dishes are presented now with a modern touch for their patrons.
The Return of Tiger Trail is located in “Ramada Hotel” shivaji nagar.
Ambiance: 4.5/5
I was surprised by the attention to minute details and the décor of this place. Tiger Trail looked like a sylvan place. The pug marks at the entrance which are carved beautifully on the black marble stone deserves a mention.
There were posters of mighty Tigers and great quotes on the walls which suited the theme.
Few old Gun’s placed added charm to this place. The seating options are quite comfortable.
Food –
Starters - 5/5 – one word Virtuoso
The starters served in those tiny BBQ griller boxes enhanced the charm , well presented and tasted great
I personally loved the Galouti kabab , Chapli kabab and Reshmi sheekh kabab are sheer dainty !
Galouti kabab – an awadhi delicacy
'Galouti' or 'Galawati' means melt in the mouth. And definitely these kebabs will melt in your mouth once you have a bite of it.They are made to perfection.
Chapli kabab – A peshawari delicacy made with grounded meat and rustic spices.
These Spicy Chapli kebabs will leave you wanting for more! They're super delicious.
Reshmi sheekh kabab – sinful ones
Reshmi sheekh kabab is a traditional Indian skewered meat which is seasoned with garlic, and ginger marinade to create a delicious, silky texture, the best part the smoky touch they get after grilled over BBQ griller.
Ajwain fish tikka – Fish tikka topped with ajwain and grilled over tandoor, has a strong tinge of mustard. Loved it.
In vegetarian starters we tried the tandoori broccoli, paneer tikka and chatpate aloo
Paneer tikka is pretty good, and tasted great.
Main course – 4/5
We choose to try their simple thali
Which consist of Indian breads like - Sheermal , rotis and , kulchas topped with sesme seeds, chironji naan.
Sheermal is flattened bread made with all purpose flour and saffron added to it.
The thali is simple yet tasty it has – Malai kofta, Mushroom aloo palak ki sabzi, Paneer Labardar, matka murgh, dal makhni, pyaaz pulao, curd and rasmalai.
Malai kofta and Paneer labardar are the best in terms of vegetarian fare.
Rasmalai is really tasty – made with fresh cream and thick milk topped with saffron.
The thali served is pretty descent and value for money.
Then in desserts we just choose to try Malai pista kulfi
Boy I would give this to them – perfect malai kulfi which has rich texture and finely balanced creamy texture too. Topped with pistachios
Service – 4.5/5
The staff are really polite , the best part we get to meet the chef Yakub khan, who comes from a background and experience of TAJ group of hotels. That is something noteworthy. He has conversations with all of us and asked us for the feedback and also if incase we need any customizations. We had conveyed him our feedback.
Then we met Mr. Sachin who is Director of sales and he had personally interacted with all of us for some time and then took a note of our feedback.
Explained us the story behind Tiger Trail which is nice gesture from his end.
We infact noticed that Sachin and his team do take care of all the guests who are dining in.

A quick catching up with my lovelies after a hectic day over some good food. Dinner plans was at Tiger Trail, Ramada, Shivaji nagar. And though the distance was far from office, but it was so much worth it.
Rustic ambience with tiger paw marks on the stairs, tiger reserve maps in the tables and beautiful portraits of the ferocious one welcomed us.
Over glasses of welcome drinks, we started our dinner, and then came the starters.
What all we had: Gosht Seekh Kebab, Ajwaini fish tikka, malai murgh, tandoori broccoli, chatpate aloo, paneer tikka, galouti kebab, reshmi Seekh kebab and the most unique Champli kebab.
We met head chef Yousuf who has a rich background of working with the Taj Group of hotels. And his upbringing being in UP and Bhubaneswar, his culinary skills have a streak of the specialities of those states and their rich food heritage.
Moving to the main course, we were served food in beautiful thalis which consisted of Paneer Lababdar, Mushroom aloo palak, matka murgh, dal makhni, malai kofta, laal piyaz pulao, rasmalai. Last but not the least, we tried their malai kulfi, and it was so good that we took second servings even 😂
They have maximum of corporate crowd, and have good buffet options. Definitely recommended

And, that spatial mapping of where the tigers were found, was deemed to be the "Tiger Trail”

Turai & Muttar Shorba : An extremely mild & flavourful broth, that warmed you up in minutes. The subtle flavour of Turai, came across & made its mark.
Dahi ke Kabab : A soft & extremely mushy tikkis made out of hung curd, flavoured with spices. Couldn't stop at one.
Flavoured Lassi with Chaat Pockets : A medley of different kinds of sweet lassi paired with little pockets of Chaat. A mini Chaat, if you may.
Corbett Se Aloo : Baby potatoes tossed with cumin seeds, sesame & peanuts. Worth a try, for the deep flavours.
Vilayati Tarana Kabab : An assortment of delicious broccoli, babycorn & Paneer kababs. The flavours were spot on and the smooth play of spices, made this my favourite.
Paneer Dumpling Makhani : The little pearls of Paneer, dispersed in a rich tomato based makhani, with an enviable rich consistency, has you reminiscing about even when you are back home.
Assortment of Naans : The ajwaini naans were by far, my most favourite.
Desserts :
. Harsha Sundae : A mix of nostalgia and old Bangalore in a glass. Ice cream, cut fruits & dry fruits bound by rose syrup.
. Khubani ka Mitha : An apricot purée & custard married into one.

Verdict : The restaurant, is an excellent example of good hearty food, coupled with easy on the pocket prices. Dishes are true to their origins and have different flavours to each one of them. The Tiger Trail gets onto my must have list.

Usually we don't venture to this side of the city , for dining. But this is one of those old Bangalore Quarters which houses some really old names of trust. One such place is this restaurant in a 45 year old establishment , which still remains a regular place for the loyals.
The moment you get down the cab or step inside the Ramada hotel, there is a mood change. Even in a busy place like this - this is like an Oasis. A short flight of stairs take you to the Den.
The entire place is dotted with maps & memorabilia pertaining to the National Animal of India. This is actually a food journey within India - which was famous for gaming during the British Raj. In that process, they have curated some classic dishes from those areas where Tigers could be spotted easily and infused a bit of modern touch to it. Thats where this place gets the name "Tiger Trail".
I was happy to see the map of Bengal too.
Coming to the food - they have a wide range of Indian cuisine which we as a gang could try. In fact there are some veg dishes which I really liked. We started with the Turai aur Matar Shorba(veg) , Flavoured Lassi with Chaat pockets (veg) Dahi ke kebab (veg), Blue Cheese Malai Tikka Twist(veg) , Murgh Lazzat Nawabi, Kakori Kabab, Kumaon Kumbh, followed by Kabini Chicken Curry (my favourite) , Ranthambore Laal Maas, Corbett se Aloo (veg) , Tiger Trail Butter chicken. We ended with Harsha Sundae (legacy dessert) , Khubani ka meetha and Kulfi Falooda.
They do have a small liquor counter. I enjoyed my mocktails too.
In terms of the over all experience , this is a restaurant which has changed names and logos, but stood the test of time. The Jungle look and feel inspired interiors & food - makes it a nice & memorable affair.
The British in the early 19th Century, scoured various parts of India looking for the elusive tiger. They ended up creating a collection of places where the tigers were more likely to be spotted, a collection now more fondly known as ‘The Tiger Trail’. Interestingly, since these places were all across India, including places like Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore, Kanha, Kabini and Jim Corbett, it made sense to group the best of the dishes from each of these places. The Tiger Trail aims to add a modern influence to some of these classic dishes.

Tiger Trail Restaurant is a tribute to the hunters in British India who went on various trails in pursuit of tiger across the Indian subcontinent, popularly known as “Tiger Trail”.
The various cuisines from the regions they trailed the tiger ,are now part of the inspiring culinary journey at the Tiger Trail restaurant. I was told that the dishes here are mostly traditional with a modern influence.

Here are my observations:
12) Decent spread in buffet dinner.
Egg Salad. Papdi Chaat. American Coleslaw. Pulpy grapes. Pumpkin Salad. Green salad.
Malabar Fish curry. Chicken curry.
Paneer Mutter. Steamed okra. Chatpata aloo. Baby corn Masala. Varuval.
Green veg pesto. Pasta with pink sauce. Chilli Garlic noodles.
Lemon Rice. Dal Tadka. Steamed rice. Pulao. Rasam. Curd rice.
Cut fruits. Vanilla pastry. Kalakand. Carrot Halwa.
And the breakfast buffet:
Bread Toast, Croissants, Danish Pastry
Pineapple Juice, Cucumber Juice, Cold coffee
Cut fruits, Flavoured Curds, Cornflakes
Dosas and Omelettes
Pancakes, Chicken sausages, Cheese potatoes,

1) A fairly busy location. No isolation.
2) An age-old property. Ancient. Mid-sized room. But a strangely angular one. Neither square nor linear. Odd and not with adequate leg space.
3) Large twin French pane windows. The sixth-floor roadside expansive view.
4) Small compact bathroom. Basic frills. No pressure Pump shower. Hair dryer yes, shaving mirror no. Clean linen. The bathroom had a completely enclosed glass, so no spillage of water on the floor outside. Clean linen.
5) Large-sized bed. Lumpy pillows and thick large width lumpy mattresses. Average sleep quality.
6) 32 Inches Sony LCD TV. No HD Channels.
7) Adequate lighting. Yellow light bulbs.
8) Two 500 ml water bottles gratis. Any more was chargeable.
9) Excellently working wifi.
10) Excellently working AC.
11) No swimming pool. Yes a gym, but didn’t get an opportunity to visit.
Amazing Indian food with proper hospitality having a bunch of staff always smiling,well trained ,the qUality of food is good one must try kebabs and authentic Indian food. specially the kebab which is getting served in Sigrid,mouth watering kebab one must visit this place.
Had dinner with my colleagues... great experience, with prompt service , best cocktail from the menu....Really spend a good time with all courteous staffs...
I been to this restaurant last week , I saw sm promotions happening in restaurant,beeryani and beer festival we opted for that we were in a group of 5 we ordered tandoori appetisers and had biryani with beer. price worth restaurant was well clean well mannered staff.i would suggest my colleagues to go and enjoy
Incredibly bad and slow service, took 20mins to find the menu and the floor manager @ 7:30pm.
After some noise we eventually got the manager, who was extremely cordial and helpful. Post this the service was excellent and the food was spot on.
The chicken shikh kabab and the pepper chicken were beautifuly flavored. The chicken biryani was flavorful and layered. Worth a revisit.
Yesss tiger trail!! Tasty food.. looks like a cozy restaurant ... but it is economical ... their food structure is good.. both thali and buffet are available.. great place for party with family...!!!
This was an extremely popular fine dine restaurant for authentic punjabi food, following which they briefly had to shut down. At the peak of their success, they served the most amazing tandoori dishes. The naans and kulchas were exceptional. And I always made it a point to order the roomali roti with the variety of curries we ordered! Excellent

Tiger Trail looked like a cosy place. There were posters of tigers and quotes on the walls which suited the theme. The decor was contemporary.
The service was prompt and food was served on the table with a smile on the servers face.
Mazedar Bhuttay which is kernels of sweet corn, capsicum, tomatoes and onions stir-fried with mild spices was also a delicious dish from The Tiger Den which is the Tiger Trail Bar.
I just loved the Dal Makhani which is a speciality from the kitchens of Punjab. Awadhi Nahari is Tiger Trail’s secret recipe which is a twist on traditional Roghan Josh. We also tasted Kadai paneer from the heart of Punjab. This was made with fresh cottage cheese, onions and bell peppers coated in a wok with spicy tomato sauce , aromatic Indian herbs.
The Tiger Trail team curated delectable royal Indian dishes,a feast fit for Kings and as unique as the trail itself. They have created a lavish spread of gastronomic delights, with royal thalis, succulent kebabs, refreshing drinks, sinful, rich desserts and much more.
If you want to eat authentic Awadhi and Lucknowi food, head on to Tiger Trail at Ramada, Shivajinagar, Bangalore. Do try the kebabs and if you are a vegetarian, you will surely love dal makhani.
All my lunch meetups and office parties were at ramada we used to enjoy the buffet at tiger trail. Last week I was hosted by the restaurant sadly the buffet is out and they have introduced thali on their menu. Along with starters and full thali is an amazing spread. The thali trend is picking up and buffets gone. We enjoyed the meal I liked the cheesy malai chicken kabab, seekhs and biryani.
Huge thali never ends here in tiger hotel what a big tahli plate good to have nice to see also ambience makes staffs cool and tidy.thanks for all wonderful meal
Sad enough you don't have more than 5.0 as a rating. The nicest restaurant experience I have had all during my entire life. Such a nice and forthcoming staff no words to explain. eager to serve you better right from captain to waiter. All there prompt and smiling. Keep it up. The food being offered on the day was a thali system. But did taste good. The vegetarian affair must be tried.
Food was pretty good.
The service is very late and make sure you have ample time before you consider this place.
Hygienic, good ambience too.

Wonderful place, service and food. My husband planned a surprise for my birthday and it was too perfect. Loved everything about this hidden gem. The decor was on point. Special thanks to Aliha, Anjali and Bhanu for making our evening so beautiful. Will definitely recommend this place if you want a peaceful romantic date away from the crowds.
