Waiting for this place to re open soon! One of best restaurants for North indian food!
Please open soon! 🙁
Mouth watering and lip smacking food!! Just loved the food here...starting from bhutta kabab and ending with gajar ka halwa.. delicious food!!
The veg platter is must to have here..and jaipuri kofta will bring water to your mouth every time you think of it.
It's a place with no music .Decent ambiance.. Go here if you want to enjoy your food to the max !
Really good place, especially for vegetarians 😅
Ramana's is a great place for delicious and healthy north Indian food! Also the ambience takes you back to the authentic origin of the place and gives a great Indian vibe. The friendly staff made my experience even better. I'd love to visit here again!
Order was taken systematically. Mr. Prakash at billing counter was very observant and attentive .service is prompt and quick.
Pricing and quantity is worth the price. Worth a repeat.
Great food - pocket friendly. We were two of them. And had ordered a basket of roti’s and Kaidai veg.
The portion was sufficent a the options of roties were 4.
If you have zomato gold. It’s a plus.
Good tasty food, value for money and excellent service. Very warm and lovely place to visit. Our experience was really nice. The highlight of the dinner was Sham Savera curry and Kadai Biryani, really yummy and one must definitely visit this place.
Delicious vegetarian food. Good for family dining. But parking space is not there. Reasonable price on all the items . You can enjoy food ....
It’s a decent place , quality of food is good and they have limited variety. Only problem is parking and second floor accessibility . Improve menu with same quality
Amazing North Indian food with authentic taste & good service. Anyone craving Tawa roti or home like Daal, should definitely visit. The prices are also pretty reasonable
A very nice place to a foodie. With all sorts of cusines it attracts many people. Nice taste and nice ambience. Will love to come again and again, with friends as well.
Not bad. The food is tasty but I don't think they go the extra mile for delivering some of the more complex items. Ambience is average . But I think they deliver the goods, if you are only concerned about quality north Indian food.
I love to visit this place during lunch hours as the food is not very oily, spicy n still tasty. Of course there are other places with better food but if you are nearby and looking to have a decent meal, go without hesitation. The place is inside H M Geneva house. It's hygienic n decently priced. Also the service is quick.
A very small place but the arrangements of the tables makes the place look spacious. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant where you can take your family over for a lunch and have a good time. The pricing is decent and the service is good. Now coming to the food, it's really yum especially Kairee Paneer dish we ordered which has a got flavour of Raw Mango added to it.
P.S - The only problem I faced was locating this place as they don't have a board displayed outside for people to know it's located here.
Best cosy place, good and simple food. Really loved the food. Mushroom masala, pulkas we're good. One much try kajar halwa with ice cream, it's at it's best !!! Service was also good. Love to visit again!
The food is really good and nice simple food and service is good u can try some starter and food is really amazing at this place
It’s worth the price and time we had great service and experience at this restaurant
Excellent food and service!! Everything from the drinks and starters to main course and dessert were great! I particularly enjoyed the pudina nimbu soda, palak soup, and sham savera curry. All the waiters were very friendly and helpful, particularly Mr. Bablu.
Been here many times. The food is really good. Staff is friendly. Place seems to be little small but i think that should not matter. Would recommend you to try it out!
Nice place. Kids friendly. Good for a brunch on a lazy weekend.
But the taste is a but mile for a proper north indian. Still you can enjoy it.
This is a very good place to find nice veg food. Ambience really nice and service is pretty fast. Should try bhutta kebab, Jaipur kofta they are really tasty and different.
The quality of the food on really great.
Do visit to get the taste of pure veg food.
Visited twise. Its a very nice place go with family and friends, Tasty food, polite people, beautiful ambience, enjoyed the food here, nice place to eat right food.

Featured here is the #vegbiryani with some fried #papad & #pickle
Good food, good service.
Though the restaurant is hard to find, the ambient was cool and calm. Peaceful.
If you want to spend some quality time with yourself do visit.
Went for lunch and it was a wonderful experience. The phulkas were soft and served hot. The best phulkas that I have had and at par with the phulkas served in Delhi and northern India. The Dal Makhani was perfect. Veg Kolhapuri delicious. The Dum Aloo was a tad too spicy.
Veg Biryani was nice and filling.
The best part though was the service. Prakash who took our order and was constantly smiling and helpful. Sonu who served us and was throughout attentive and polite, inspite of the restaurant being full and busy. Thanks for the courtesy and hospitality.
Definitely recommend this place for a delicious lunch and friendly service. Will be back.
After a long time had a really satisfying North Indian meal in Bangalore. Will definetly come back again for the dal makhani and tandoori roti
Nice cozy place to dine ,
Great food , great service !
Ordered kofta , dal makhini and rotis .
The kofta was nice and soft , the dal makhini is excellent !
Service is prompt , after ordering the food , it was served at the table within 5 minutes .
Zomato gold member so there was a 1+ 1 on food !
Totally worth the price and service .
Will definitely come back for more .
A little hard to find but well worth it, Ramana’s for lunch proved to be a value for money spot with excellent food. North Indian vegetarian fare, brilliant Dal Makhani, vege biryani and breads. I understand it is hard to get into this place at night, the crowds do flock here, so sneak in for lunch, you won’t be disappointed.
Attention to Zomato Gold users. As per the policy, the complementary order will be shared on the second highest order not the most highest. Rest, everything is awesome, the food ambience and service is simply topnotch. Great value for money.
Starters Platter- 4/5
Dal Makhni- 4/5
Veg Hyderabadi- 2/5
Masala Papads were just fine.
Been a fan of this place for a few years now, but the general quality of the food and the portions seem to be on their way down (esp the latter). Perhaps we got caught on an off day, but I'd recommend Ramanas for a nice, quiet family dinner.
"A place holding up its own taste, on a deprecating road, over the time."
Whats Compelling about this place?
-----------------------------------------
Over a period of time, the charm of Cunningham road is declining, compared to what it was back then in 90's and early 2000's. However, the case of Ramana's restaurant is surprising and complimentary. The restaurant is attracting many foodies and gaining a good credibility. Amidst one of the most busy roads its managing to run beyond expectations, unlike some other popular restaurants around it, is quite impressive. They have yet manage the valet parking amidst such a busy area.
Maintaining a decent ambiance and hospitality is not everyone's sport. But this place is proving otherwise, every time I visit. Mostly carrying a strong bias towards non-spicy food aka Jain food they have maintained an implacable taste and hygiene. I enjoy having a meal over here all the time for this very reason. The wait time isn't something that one needs to worry for it hasn't been a problem for us during our dozen of visits.
For someone who doesn't have sweet tooth, this place might just be a substitute for your sudden hunger pangs. Not a place for gourmands though. Bit heavy on pockets for a mid-range diner.
What's best on their menu?
-----------------------------------------
1. The Veg platter: A quintessential starter, being friend zoned by many of the foodies here. In my view this is the assorted platter of all the best starters @ Ramana's. 2 platters serve 6 ppl easily.
2. Corn bhel: If you are not the one for a routine bhel, then this may accompany you till the main course. Mind you, its too heavy for a single chap.
3. Paneer butter masala & Baby corn Masala: Nothing much to say here but taste. And when the Veg Hyderabadi falls for my liking, then its definitely not spicy. Request to add tons of chili powder, if need be. :)
4. Butter phulkas: I always prefer them any day over Kulcha/naan/rotis for you can enjoy more curry when phulkas are on the plate.
5. Pudina Nimbu Paani & Lassi: The 2 best drinks who keeps our company through out the lunch. Go for'em.

3. Service: 4/5
4. Value for money: 3/5
Everytime i visit this hotel i come back 100% happy. Excellent food excellent service total value for money. Each and every item is different and unique. I have been visiting this restaurant from past 3yrs and will continue to go there. I hope they continue to maintain the quality this way.
Ambience: nothing fancy.
Service: polite, prompt.
Food: a fail safe Vegetarian dinner- simple, tasty food. We ordered the kebab platter, the Dahl tadka and the Hyderabadi handi, all of which were excellent. It is also a Zomato gold participating restaurant.
If you’re looking for a simple, tasty (and healthy) vegetarian meal, this place is ideal.
Oh this place is just perfect comfort food! Never disappoints! Whatever you order. Tried the Rajma Chawal and Paneer Chilli and fried rice! Both totally amazing, and their starter platter! Just perfect!
Good food, good ambience nice place to hangout with colleague and friends.Jaljeera, phulka bengan fry ,harabara kaabab very good tastes and hygiene
Lovely calm ambience.. with lovely wall decor and a photo of Sri Ramana Maharshi on the entrance wall. Well lit interiors and good seating, a little closely places tables.
A must try place for tasty vegetarian food. Have been visiting here for almost 10 years now and their food has not disappointed ever!
The menu has a good variety to choose from. The staff is courteous and we had a nice time during lunch there. They have some set menu or combos to try from, if you are in a hurry. But I would recommend the A La Carte menu any day!
We tried the Bhutta kabab, a paratha combo and executive meal. Fro beverages tried the Jal jeera.
The bhutta kabab was fresh and delicious and heavy! The paratha combo came with 2 mixed veg parathas with Dal makhani and curd on the side. Food was fresh, hot and good. The cues was very sour though! The executive meal came with a soup, some rice and vegetables and dal. Good!
I have eaten here before and have always ordered a la carte and enjoyed it much better.. will definitely go back again whenever on that side of town!

Nice Ambience, Good and Fast Service. Your order will be on table very soon. Must have foods are Moong dal with Ice Cream, Phulka's are very good.
Great place for vegetarian food, their dal makhani and tawa veg were especially good... Nicely cooked rotis! Could do better with valet services though
Decent decor/cutlery/ambience.Mezzanine floor is perfect for bigger groups of 6 and above.Quiet/clean.Went for lunch ,ordered starter consisting of The Platter which has 2 pieces of Achari Panner Tikka,Pudhina Paneer,Bhutta kebab,Hariyali sheek kebab.First 3 were good, Vitamin Bhel which is a mixture of sprouted greens with dressings. Masala papads.Bhel is a novelty and easy on stomach.Sets the tone for main course which consisted of Jaipuri Kofta,Aloo Gobi and Tava vegetables.Kofta was well liked followed by Aloo Gobi .Tava vege had a mixed reaction.2 of us felt salt high, one found it hot but I liked it because the vegetables were crispy and chatpat masala used is tasty.I don't think salt was high but the masala used gives that impression. We ordered Lachcha Parata,Alu parata,Phulkas which went very well with what we ordered.Phulkas were soft,Laccha kadak. As some side dishes were left, we ordered a bowl of mixed vegetable pulao which was bland but a good foil for the gravies. For desert Ice creams and Gajar halwa.Acceptable but nothing to go gaga.Over all, we all liked the place, the food and the service. We could have decent conversation.Food served reached us without much delay and was hot.I will recommend this vegetarian restaurant to any lover of food.
Nice ambience , food quality and suitable for small gatherings or family.
Quite and clean place , would recommend and frequent while in Bangalore and around Cunningham.
This is a vegetarian restaurant that I recommend both for its food and the philosophy behind the food. A simple small place, valet parking outside the corporate complex within which it is located, polite service, good quality, value for money and affordable hygienic food. They have combo lunches and a regular menu. Suitable for families and small groups. If you prefer spicy food, you will like their preparations a little more than I did. Ramana's is a place I would visit for a weekday lunch.
I have been to this place a few times. I felt that the rates are reasonable. The staff is friendly. Once we went upstairs, I liked it. I like the onions that they provide. Nice place to sit, relax and have a nice family meal.
Coming to the ambience it's simple and relaxing, and peaceful.
The food is simple and tasty. I won't say it's spicy or bland, but I felt it's nice mix.
Decent food for that pure veggie meal experience, a trifle more expensive than what you would normally expect. They have a health menu section as well (in case you are a health freak!) I found the two level seating arrangement a bit precarious, especially the staircase leading to the 1st floor seating. The menu can be made a bit more inventive.
Found this place on zomato while looking for a north Indian cuisine with good reviews.
Been on Sunday lunch, place was quite empty, staff was quick in getting food, and we took the combo meals which was 2 plus 1 free...and in ala carte one paneer dish with rumali roti.
I liked the presentation if the combos, food was cooked well and price is also reasonable.
Not a fine diNing place but yea you can visit for a quick north Indian food.
One of the best places for good vegetarian fare in Bangalore. Often crowded, a prior reservation is recommended. Centrally located and good ambience and seating (a little small and crowded if it there are large numbers). Seating available on two levels, accessible by stairs. Tasty food with plenty of variety ensures there is something for everyone. Seems to be underrated, in spite of the fact that service quality might have dropped just a little over the years. Hygienic place with clean toilets. Centrally located, but vehicle parking could be an issue.
I had first been to Ramana's when they had opened many years ago. Today was my second visit and I must say that they have maintained their standards in the food and service. Everything that we ordered was excellent except for the gajar ka halwa. The service was super quick and pleasant.
Had lunch executive combo plan... Quality and quantity is good. Ambience and surrounding is great.. little crowded during day time. Veg kohalapuri and soup were tasty.
Just been lucky to taste the best foods in town, pure veg. Tried the simple paratha combo, executive lunch as well. Yummy and light food. Good to go with kids!
Ramana's made people realize how Indian food can be served in a fine dine set up.
It was one of the places that opened in 2000's and gave a good experience to people.
I have seen this place going down a bit and also a little heavy on the pocket due to which it's rating goes down from my end.
This place has been around for a long time. The place is kind of small but the ambience is clean and good. A standout dish for me here is the kairi paneer - something different which I haven't seen at other places. Try this out when ur here.
Very good North Indian vegetarian food. Some unusual dishes too.
Ramana was a pleasant find for me. This small restaurant is tucked away inside a commercial building on Cunningham road. If you go down Cunningham Road from the Indian Express Circle, this building will be on your right, just after KFC.
The interiors are pleasant and well-finished, with a largely woody feel. Seating is four to a table. The menu is restricted to North Indian vegetarian food, but they have a few interesting dishes like the Vegetable Shaslik (an assortment of vegetables cooked in a tomoto-based gravy, with a sour-spicy taste) and the Kairee Paneer (Paneer cooked in raw mango gravy). Both these are excellent, as are the Dals and Koftas.
The rotis, kulchas and naans are soft and well-made too. If you want something to wash your food down, try their Jal Jeera.
Service is good. They let you eat in leisure. The prices are a little too high; they could be reduced a little, or the serving portions increased.
Overall, it is a good place for a meal with friends, family or with your 'intimate other'. :)
Do check it out.
It was really good during their early days... I mean the quality of the food as well as service... I think with time the standard as come down... But still far better food compare to other restaurants who claims to serve you north Indian food
This place is a good place to have dinner with family. The food was good and everyone was completely satisfied and filled. The dessert which i ordered was the best ever. It was moong dal halwa with ice cream and it was awesome.
The dish i liked here is in the starter section and it is the hariyali sheek kebab. The other dishes we ordered were good too and i liked the way everything was presented. The food was servedpretty soon which is a good thing.
Had been here for lunch today. Service was quick, ambience was ok, food was good. Value for money. Ordered Gobi Manchurian and veg biriyani it was good.
Last but not the least preferred. Always been a hunger solution restaurant with more than decent food. The food quality is well maintained over years and it's always yum - thumbs up for the kulchas and paneer gravies.
I came to know about this place through Zomato . And best part is they didn't disappoint us. It is a nice place and food ordered was delicious. We decided to have Thandaai after dinner and it was wow in taste. A must visit place for the Vegetarians.

Ramana’s has been serving some very good vegetarian food over the years! Went there a few days back with friends for dinner and it’s good to see the refurbished interiors, with some interesting mural work by famous ceramics artist Adil Writer.
We ordered some roasted masala papads along with fresh lime sodas and jaljeeras before getting on to the mains.
The masala papads were yummy, with the just the right touch of chilli. The fresh lime soda tasted of lime cordial, which I am not a fan off.
For mains we got a methi malai mutter, kairee paneer, baigan ka salan , makai pulao and an assortment of breads.
All the mains were good, esp the methi malai mutter and the pulao. I was expecting a little more tang in the raw mango gravy, but it was interesting nevertheless. Of the breads the pudina rotis were my fave.
We wound up dinner, sharing a gajar ka halwa. Not the best that I have eaten, but atleast it was thankfully low on sugar.
Service was pretty competent through the meal. Definitely recommended for a good veg meal.

It's a small well maintained vegetarian restaurant. Can get a little noisy since it is small. Luckily it wasn't when we went.. enjoyed our lunch peacefully.
Food - 4/5
Service - 3.5/5
Ambiance - 4/5
Was here today for the first time with colleagues. Wanted to try this restaurant after going through Zomato.
Its a good place with really good food.
Tried Bhutta Kebab & Mix Pulao.
Ramanna's is a neat little place with really lovely food. Have been there thrice and all the 3 times loved it equally. Personal favorite include Butta Kabab and Kairee Paneer ki Subji.
Of all the vegetarian restaurants in bangalore, i'd pick this over and over! I have lost count of how many times we have dined here! The food is exceptional! Love the chilli idli starter, pea soup, methi sabzi with hot thin phulkas! Do try their masala chips, very good! Whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner, this place is a must try!
A little difficult to find , but, its worth the struggle. Great food ! Do try their Bhutta Kabab nad Amritsari Kulcha. Loved it. Service is a bit slow.
Excellent quality of food.. Vegetarian and pocket friendly.. The best eats are bhutta kabab, amritsari kulcha, sham savera and achari paneer tikka. Worth a visit. Experience could have been better if parking facility was available.
Ramana's may not have the ambience for 'fine dining', but the food is definitely fine! It's a small vegetarian restaurant said to be inspired by Sri Ramana Maharshi.
Perhaps it was our lucky day, 'cause everything we ordered was delicious: mushroom soup, starter platter, chef's special sabzi, paneer makhani, phulkas and jeera rice.
Pricing is more than reasonable.
PS: Don't follow Google Maps. It ll have you in circles. The restaurant is on the ground floor of the glass corporate building next to KFC on Cunningham Road.

One of the most simple and delicious food served in the restaurant. Light on the stomach and extremely fresh taste. Love the palak paneer, hara bhara kabab and corn bhel. It is a nice place to take your grand parents if they are the particular about a complete vegetarian place. Amazing Palak soup, Palak paneer and pullkhas.
I stumbled across this place along with a group of 25 ravenous friends. Being small and petite they couldn't accommodate us all in one table so we had to sit in groups of four.
The menu is fairly varied between Chinese and Indian cuisines. We decided to explore the platter which is a small assortment of the Indian starters. It turned out to be a good choice which contained two pieces of each starter.
The parantha combo with channa which followed was the highlight of the meal. It would leave you slightly stuffed but the tastes are spellbinding. We had ordered some phulka and a spinach and panneer curry as well but they were completely out matched by the paranthas. The spinach curry was a little too liberal on the lime but was otherwise passable.
We felt adventurous and decided to try out the mixed fruit lassi. It didn't turn out to be a good idea as there was a fair bit of pulp and a strong taste of something unusual. But this seemed to be the only let down in a fairly tasty and sumptuous meal.
It is definitely a vegetarians delight and a great place to enjoy some hearty paranthas.
I would like to re-review this place, the people are really friendly. I go for dinner often post office post #zomatogold it is very affordable and good food on regular basis.
Ramana's is a north Indian restaurant but of a little different kind. It has a different decor from the rest of regular fine dining restaurants. The place is quite small and phone booking is available (Not sure about weekends).
The menu is limited from the starters till the desserts. It has only regular north Indian cuisine. If you're looking for any chats or Chinese on the side then you might be disappointed. Everything on the menu tastes quite good. The service is also nice. This restaurant is value for money as the pricing is reasonable and quite less compared to the new age restaurants. Come here for a regular tasty north Indian dinner.
